Howdy Coolvalers and the teaming population of admission seekers! It's no longer a news that the hurdle termed JAMB has come and gone not without leaving some memories behind. For those with 180 marks and above, don't relax because you've only scaled through half of the tests to gaining admission and the most important, POSTUTME,is still very much intact! This also includes those with 150-179marks because they too will write entrance examinations of their various polytechnics and colleges of education of choice.
To ease your anxiety and to give answers to the burning questions you have, this platform has been created!Ask any questions concerning your institutions of choice and answers will be proferred!Besides,Strategies for demoralizing and dilapidating POSTUTME will also be dished out here!

STRATEGIES FOR SCORING 75% AND ABOVE IN UI POSTUTME. As you've all known that scoring as high as 300 in UTME can't guarantee you admission into UI as she only concentrates on your PUTME score and not your JAMB score.Taking cognizance of this fact,it is damn paramount to overcome the hurdle of this necessary evil called PUTME.To achieve this exceptionally, adhere to the following hints: Enter the hall with Boldness:Writing UI PUTME with timidity is at your detriment! Confidence in yourself matters.Confidence ceases you from erasing the right answers simply because your partner's contradict them.Be informed that you'll be combacting tricky-simple questions which need boldness and rapt attention to defeat.Let us take this simple analogy, while in primary school, you wrote exam each term and a class has three terms which resulted your quizes to 18 times for the whole of the six years. Same goes to your secondary school and suming up gives 36.If added to your Jamb,it resulted to 37 times which is the least number of times you'd have done exams before proceding to UI.So,why should you be afraid of what you've done for 37 times? It's ridiculous if you're!fear not!It is what you are used to. Nothing has changed! Do not be in a Hurry:Are you writing UI entrance exam with the aim of scoring high and yet overconfidence and hastiness are your die hard attributes?Never will your goal be achieved if you don't shun these bad attributes and if you reject my advice, you'll end up scoring as low as 40 or 50 if God favours you.UI Post-UTME is without an iota of sceptism tactical and technical. The questions appear simple but very tricky. You look at the questiions in UI Post-UTME and say they are damn simple?!My dear, cool down! They're not as simple as they appear. Why not re-analyse the questions again? This time, what do you see?The answer is no longer sure right? Lol...Listen to me,saying "hasty climbers have sudden falls" has no gain for the speaker.SHUN HASTINESS AND OVERCONFIDENCE! Prepare with the Right Materials:Many candidates score low not because they didn't prepare but because they prepared with the wrong materials. To be candid, reading wrong materials exposes one to failure!'What are then the correct materials?' is what I heard a candidate asking me.Well, the most important materials are UI sample questions and JAMB past questions!UI coins questions from Jamb past questions often.Infact,if you can master JAMB past questions to the latter,I have the assurance that you'll score as high as 90% and above! You're amazed?Don't be!That's just the fact there! In conjunction with these past questions, read also the materials you used for UTME and you'll be good to go! Meet a Student of UI who have undergone this hurdle called Postutme:This suggestion can be buttressed by using a famous Igbo adage which says "ajuwa ajuju ihe no n'ala, si juo ewi" which is translated as "Anytime questions concerning what is inside the ground is being asked, let the questions go to the Rabbit". Not everything is written in this article. Experience is always the best teacher. Go and look for someone from UI who had successfully overcome this hurdle and ask how he succeeded doing that. Be part of an informative platform which centers on UI Admission strategies:There's no gain saying that fact that Information is power! Many fail post utme generally not because they've not prepared but because they lacked the right information! So,be part of a thread like this one you're presently which dishes out the information from the nooks and crannies of UI as an institution.Since you are here,You are truly at the right place.Go no where! Be prayerful and spiritual: Doing all what I've said above without prayers is vanity upon vanity! What if you prepared for the exam but couldn't do it?That'll be disheartening I presume? Therefore,Read and pray so that you won't be a prey! If you strictly apply all these tips,I'm 100% sure that 80% and above will be your scoreline! If you've contribution(s) or question(s),don't hesitate dropping it/them using the reply or quote icon. And do invite your friends. I wish you luck in UI Post-UTME. Congratulations in advance!!!

Actually,if we're to go by the official Jamb cut off mark for 2016, Universities should give any candidates with 180marks the opportunity to write pjamb and above while Polytechnic should consider those with 150 and above. U just have to wait till FUTO releases her cut off mark. Visit http://www.futogist.com/aspirants/futo-average-cut-off-marks-for-all-departments/ to get last year's cut off marks for each department.

10 Reasons that Mandated You to Prepare with Past Questions(PQ). Past Questions are the compilation of previous examination papers taken by other candidates that sat for such examination from various examination bodies exempli gratia,JAMB,NECO,WAEC,POSTJAMB,etc. While these materials are available in hard copies, one can also lay hands on the softcopy (pdf) via the internet without going through risks and stress of traveling to the vendour to buy anyone of them. If you are seeking for admission into any university or polytechnic in Nigeria, the importance of studying with Past Questions and Answers from that school cannot be over- emphasized. Using past exam papers as part of the materials for preparation can expose you to lots of things you might haven't known which will boast your chance.. Studying past papers is a valuable decision that helps you to keep focused on important themes whilst practicing exam style questions. Past exam papers are one of the most helpful tools available to prepare for both internal and external examinations as they provide students with practical insight into how the forthcoming exam paper will look like and the key themes or subject areas one must try to cover. Before starting revision for a subject it is always worth taking time to seek out past papers. 10 Benefits of Using Past Questions. Below are the indispensible and irrefutable benefits or importance of past questions: 1. They reveal the patterns of asking questions by examination bodies. 2. PQs show you the subjects and topics to prepare for adequately. 3. They provide helpful tips on to how answers should be presented. 4. With them, you know the likely exam questions you will be combating. 5. They Help to understand the likely exam time length (duration for exam). 6. They help to Indicate the typical number of questions to answer in the exam. 7. They help to Identify the styles of setting exam questions (short-answer, multiple choice or essays). 8. With them, you develop question answering technics to save time. 9. They provide the opportunity to identify the key subject areas to focus on in revision. 10. Most times Examination bodies do repeat their past questions and having gone through the past questions will give you the opportunity to pick the correct answer with wasting time. I can bet you that to make laudable success in the forthcoming exams, you cannot afford not to get a copy of the past questions for the examination you'll be writing.

Architects of Students' failures in Entrance Examinations. Candidates fail Entrance Exams due to some significant reasons. Some of these reasons are still obscure to many. We shall enumerate the possible reasons which result to students failing Entrance Exams and possible solutions to make them secured in this piece. [colore=red]Note:The list is exhaustive therefore, Feel free to add more in the comments section if you have. Below are the Architects of Students failures in Entrance Examination. 1.Computer Illiteracy:Computer illiteracy signifies when an individual lacks the knowledge to operate computer. It is not possible for a students to pass Tertiary Schools' Entrance Exams nowadays without being literate in Computer.Remember, the examination will be written using computer and you have to learn how to write exams Using computer. Therefore,if you still lack computer knowledge,I'll advice you to acquire that knowledge. It won't only help you in examination-wise but also in your endeavors! 2.Fear:Fear is the crux of students' failure in any examination. This chronic crux of failure can be defeated by improving your self-confidence.Say to yourself “I can overcome this hurdle” and be determined about that.Nurture the idea of scoring 60% and above in your JAMB. Lack of Preparation:Lack of or delay in preparation is another jaw bone that needs to be broken if failure in JAMB or other examinations is to be subdued. There’s no gainsaying the fact that “failure to prepare is a preparation for failure”,therefore I beseech you to marry your books such as your JAMB Past Questions and Answers together with your Recommended textbooks. 3.Lack of Time Management:Time, they say,is the greatest enemy of mankind that is why you just have to manage your time judiciously.Stop wasting huge time on a question. If a question seems "unbreakeable" try other questions and revisit the so-called tough question, you will end up breaking the unbreakeable!Bear it mind that computer times you and immediately your time elapses, you're logged off automatically. 4.Over-confidence: Overconfidence relents many students in reading. Overconfidence retardates your aim thereby harming you.Shun overconfidence and have a headway! 5.Failure to Obey Instructions: Instructions in the examination hall are examinations themselves. Failure to obey the instructions given is failure to pass the examination. Simple! Do exactly what you are told to do and avoid doing what you are not told to do. 6.Malpractice:Malpractices have failed many students because they so much trust that devilish act!Listen, apart from making you to fail your exams, malpractices also barricage your aims from being materialized on earth because you fail to use your unique gift which no one else has on earth.Due away with them and depend on God and yourself. Do you have other reason(s) why students fail?Don't hesitate commenting them.

@slim olayinka star None of ur choices is unacceptable but think deeply on which one to follow. Let me take u a little bit Into UI stuffs: UI's admission process is the most transparent in the history of education in Nigeria because of her negligible corrupt practises. In spite of this, it is one of the hardest schools to gain admission into due to her technical pjamb questions and the competitiveness of her frontier courses! My advice to u is that,UI and FUNAAB are good schools on their own scale and also their entrance examination question slightly differ. In the same vain, transparencies is never thesame. But mind u,ur course of study should determine the school u intend going. Clinical Sciences? UI is very bouyant! Technologicals? FUNAA takes the lead a big time!

Talking of UNILAG, the University of Lagos which was founded as far back as 1962. Presently, it has 3 Campuses, 2 in Yaba and the other one in Surulere. Though the main campus in Akoka and the recently created campus at the former School of Radiography. Its College of Medicine is located in Idi-Araba, Surulere. Well, It should be emphasized that all the three campuses are located in Lagos Mainland. The prestigious University of Lagos popularly known as UNILAG is known for having a large number of applicants each year for admission into the school. Talking of the 2015/2016 UNILAG post-utme screening, more than 50,000 candidates applied for JAMB UTME for UNILAG’s Post UTME screening. First of all the important things to know about UNILAG’s post-UTME screening examinations so far is that it is a Computer Based Test (CBT) that consists of three (3) subjects only for all students: Mathematics, English Language and General paper or Current Affairs. Format Of UNILAG Post-UTME Screening Examination The University of Lagos (UNILAG) usually sets its Post-UTME questions on just three(3) subjects which are Mathematics, English Language and Current Affairs for all students irrespective of the course you have registered for in your JAMB and its subject combination. The format of UNILAG post utme exam (number of questions per subject) is as follows: Make Sure You Read This 101 Facts You Must Know to Gain Quick Admission in Nigeria English Language = 20 Questions Maths = 10 Questions Current Affairs =10 Questions Total = 40 Questions Time to take Test = 30 Minutes. Total Post-UTME Score = 100 Marks How to Calculate Your UNILAG Post-UTME Aggregate Score To calculate your UNILAG post-utme exercise aggregate score, the formula used by the institution is the sum of your JAMB UTME SCORE divided by 8 and your POST UTME SCORE divided by 2. Taking For Example: You scored 260 in JAMB UTME and went on to score 60 in UNILAG POST UTME,your aggregate score will be calculated as follows: JAMB UTME Score = 260/8 =32.5 Post UTME Score = 60/2 =30 Unilag Aggregate Score = 32.5 + 30 =62.5% It can be quite confusing knowing knowing that the post utme questions are just 40. You might want to ask, how then is it possible for me to score 60 in UNILAG post utme. There is a simple sort of magic UNILAG performs; whatever you score in UNILAG post utme over 40 will be calcuated in percentage. Let’s say for example you score 20/40. It will be the same as 20/40 multiplied by 100 which is equal to 50%. Your aggregate score will be weighed against the cut off mark of your chosen course. The cut off marks (required aggregate scores) for all courses will be published after the UNILAG post utme exams. Make Sure You Read This JAMB UTME VS POST UTME - Which One Is More Difficult UNILAG Admission Requirements for All Undergraduate Courses The University of Lagos (Unilag) has a number of candidates applying for its degree program every year through Jamb UTME. Unfortunately, some of these candidates do not know the basic requirements for UNILAG’s undergraduate courses and which therefore leads to not getting admitted. Here are some tips onhow to successfully gain admission into the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Some students may also gain admission into the Institution, UNILAG, but at the point of their clearance, they are sent home just because they do NOT meet the admission requirements, you don’t want that to happen to you right? That is why all applicants who apply for Admission into UNILAG are usually advised to read this before making the school their choice. Admission Requirements into UNILAG for 2016/2017 Academic Session 1.The University of Lagos, UNILAG, being a competitive university willHARDLYadmit you if you make them as second choice university while filling your Jamb Form. 2. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) does not accept two O’level sittings. 3.
