Most of us have past
relationships, but often past relationships can hold us back from a lot, when we don’t know exactly what to watch out for. Your past
relationship can hold you back from enjoying your current boyfriend and your
current relationship, or even from holding your current relationship steady. Check out some signs to help you find out whether your past
relationship may be holding you back.

1. You don’t forget the past. If you can’t forget the past, it’s a sure sign that your past relationship may be holding you back. The past is the past and you have got to
learn from it and you have got to move on. If you’re in a current relationship, you have got to put forth your
greatest effort.

2. You don’t move on.
If you resist trying to find someone that might work for you, you are still obsessed with your past
relationship. This becomes a sticking point for many
people. They think that their last relationship was perfect and they will never find their love again.

3. You put no effort into your current relationship.
If you don’t put any effort into your current relationship, this is another sign your past relationship
may be holding you back. If you are not giving yourself
completely to the current relationship, it won’t last. In any relationship, you should give yourself completely to it.

4. You compare him to your ex.
If you’re constantly
comparing your current boyfriend to your ex, you have to stop doing it! Your
current partner should never be compared to your ex-boyfriend, because you start a new relationship and it’s something fresh, something new, and with someone new!

5. You judge behaviors of your boyfriend by your ex.
This is one of the surest sign that your past relationship may be holding you back. It is actually unfair to the man that you’re in a relationship with. Remember, you shouldn’t make your partner feel like he is constantly being compared. It can
cause fights and lots of problems.

6. You think about your ex.
If your thoughts are
completely consumed by your ex-boyfriend and your past relationship, this is
another sign that your past relationship may be holding you back from enjoying your
current relationship. Stop thinking of your ex, otherwise your current relationship won’t last! [hupso]
