1. Don't do things to receive compliments. Do it because you wants to, do it because it makes you happy. If you do it to receive compliment you might end up being disappointed and sad, but if you do it because you enjoy doing it you'll feel good and accomplished.
2. Don't quit just because you failed once, if its what you really want try over and over again. Even if you do not succeed you're not a loser because you don't give up. "You're never a loser until you quit trying"(Mike Ditka).
3. Be sincere in whatever you do or say, don't be a hypocrite because you want to take the side of a person close to you. If you don't have the confidence to be honest because it involves someone close to you don't say/do anything.
4. Before you do or say anything, think deeply about it. Put yourself in the person's shoes ( the person you wants to say/do it to) if you know you won't feel good if its done or said to you then don't say/do it to someone else.
5. Don't keep malice, don't say its okay when its not. Forgive the people that offend/hurt you even before they apologize. That's the only way you'll be free, that's the only way you won't be hurting yourself, that's the only way you'll be able to think about what is ahead of you. "They caused the first wound but you're causing the rest. This is what not forgiving does, they got it started but you keep it going. Forgive and let it go, or it'll eat you alive. You think they made you feel this way but when you won't forgive, you're the one inflicting the pain on yourself" ( Bryant McGill).
6. When participating in a competition, have it in mind that "I will win" not "I must win". You've to believe in yourself Even before thinking of competing, but you don't have to push yourself too much. Don't be too desperate to win, just do what you can do and enjoy doing it. " The most important thing is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well" ( Pierre De Coubertin).
7. Don't live your life trying to please people and inconvenient yourself, because no matter how you tried you can never succeed. Some people simply can't be pleased no matter what you do. "You can't please everyone and you can't make everyone to like you".
