Episode 4
Edu: I will get a nice place so that we can be hiding there. I don't want anybody to know our mission, it will be risky cause the information might lick to the director and you know what will happen.
Roz: I was thinking we should be staying in your hotel in northern slams, no one will notice us?
We agreed to be meeting at Edu's hotel when we need to carry out a mission or let me say when we plan on how to make the director and his crew fall.
My mind was not at rest during the whole of that day. I had many questions to ask myself
How are we going to carry out our revenge?
We don't know anything about this director?
We are not soldiers, or Supermen?
I can't even hurt a fly talk of a snake, all i know doing well is impregnating girls. I am so weak to fight, don't judge me cause i am a mother's boy.
Later that evening i log in Whatsapp group we created for four of us, Roz,Edu,Brian and myself. I checked there was nothing new.
We watched a movie with Angel till we later slept.
Weeks were moving and i was left with one week to resume my work. We were gathered in a store room in northern slams hotel. The room our friend, Edu arranged for our meeting.
Roz: So far we only have two automatic handguns, Glock 19 9mm pistols and some kitchen knives and axes. Edu what do you plan for us?
Edu: I tried my best i brought the two pistols.
Brian: I think I have a plan, a suicide one for both us.
Roz: Say it man.
I was just listening and noting my head for any suggested plans.
Sincerely speaking i was scared with this whole plan remember i ran away from Nairobi to Mombasa just to stay away from problems i had created for myself. Now here we are, planning to start another problem. I was loving my life in Mombasa with my new family, Angel, Roz, Brian and Edu. I truly love them and respect them like my brothers and sisters but the way things are playing, i was planing to run away from this guys. I don't want trouble, but wait, did I say running away, Angel is a spirit i can't run from her she is a spirit although a weak one..
Brian: ...police armoury and run away with them as our first mission.
Roz and Edu: What!! That is suicide man
I didn't want to listen to what they were discussing. I was just thinking on how I will run away from this guys. Sorry Roz I will have to go. I know you took me like your own brother and sacrificed everything for me to be comfortable but am sorry. I can't be among 'the avengers.' For Brian, just find other people to help you to avenge your parents death but for me. I can't bro I CAN'T. I am too weak for this. Edu, just look for your fellow policemen they will be able to assist you.
That was my thoughts. I was planning to run to Malindi. Yeah Malindi is also a coastal town neighbouring Mombasa city.
Roz: How do you think Ben?
Me: I am okay in fact I like that plan. I plan it tonight.
Brian: No let's plan it tomorrow cause it is a Saturday most police officers will be on patrol you know its a weekend.
Later on that same day,I went back to my apartment and i found her seated on my bed holding her chicks. She didn't raise her head to look at me but she spoke.
Angel: Ben what is wrong with you, I thought you accepted to help me. I thought you are man enough to protect your mum. Remember your father is involved. You are a weakling Ben be a real man, be a gentleman...
Me: Gentlemen look for troubles right? gentlemen are controlled by spirits right? gentlemen kills?? If that is what it takes to be a gentleman then count me out. I am not a gentleman.
I said the last word while on my feet arranging my few things in my bag. I should be on my way right away, it is just 4pm.
Angel: You really want to leave me? Ben!
Me: Am sorry, look for someone else, not me. I already have enough problems on my shoulder back home that's why I ran to this side, can't you understand. Please just leave my life for good.
Angel: Okay I will leave you but remember i loved you, goodbye.
I never saw her again even at night cause i decided to leave for Malindi the following morning. I don't care, i need my heart to be at peace. They can't really understand how I feel after i found out I have been having sex with my two sisters and a cousin, to insult on that, they are carrying my pregnancy. All this for one person. A father of eight children with each child with her mother. So after those agents label 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 kill me, my kids will be fatherless ooh no. That is enough reason I should run away from the Director. Yes in fact Angel and Roz should understand me for having all this on my shoulder. I was deep in thought, I heard my phone beep. A message, You have received... That was my salary for this month from equity bank. Our company pays us through equity bank. Wait, 'equity bank', the same bank my director is sending agents to steal money from. What is going on? That is not my business.
I woke up the following day as early as 5am. Ready to start my journey to Malindi. I took my bag with some clothes and my wallet containing some cash. My other money was on my Mpesa account and equity bank account. I closed my door but something came up in my mind, I went back to my house to look for the bag. It was still there with her clothes, I felt sorry for her but man is to make hard decisions. I left without locking the door cause she might be staying here, she has no where to go since she's a spirit. I trekked to a taxi stage boarded a taxi to the bus station. I found a bus direct to Malindi town. I have never been there but I believe I will find a nice place and a good job for my sustain.

"Beba beba.. oya oya Kakuyuni, Kakuyuni chwani chwane..."
That voice saying those words woke me up, the bus had already reached its destination and everyone was gone I was left alone still sleeping. I just grabbed my bag and moved out of the bus station with one place on my mind, Kakuyuni.
Man: Hey come lets go, Kakuyuni fifty Bob, only one passenger left.
Me: Are you sure am going to
Kakuyuni?
Man: Yeah bro come please, let's go you will seat in the front seat. Give me your bag let me carry it for you...
Me: Wait.. are you a driver for this matatu and where is your conductor?
Driver: This matatu is a brand new one, i haven't found a conductor but with time I will get one. Come let's go.
We entered the matatu and the driver started the engine and we waited for some time for other vehicles to move.
Driver: So what are heading to Kakuyuni to do cause your Swahili is not fluent, you talk like a Nairobian?
Me: You are right bro, I came from Nairobi few months ago, i ran away from some normal troubles bro. You know ladies things, I have been in Mombasa but I didn't secure any job so i decided to try here in Malindi, Kilifi county.
Driver: So you don't know any one around Kakuyuni, don't worry i will find you a place but you need to assist me today, you know its hard to manage both as a driver and a conductor, can you?
By this time were moving now headed to Kakuyuni, Kakuyuni the place I have never been to. I will first of all look for a self contained apartment then look for a job... wait, what job and I am already staring at a job right here.
Me: No problem brother I will manage, but is this vehicle yours?
Driver: Not really but it is like mine because my aunty owns this vehicle, she collects money evey Wednesday and Saturdays.
Me: Okay, I will help you everyday if you don't mind. In fact stop this vehicle let's pick those two ladies.
Driver: Wow, you really are awesome, you're good luck. Collect for me their fare after those two enter.
He stopped the vehicle and I jumped out telling those two ladies to squeeze at the front seat where i have been sitting.
They entered and i hang on the door of that matatu like an expert, in fact I was whistling for any other passenger going. Don't mind me, to find a job here in Kenya is not easy. I was even shouting to those with personal cars to leave their vehicles and board mine.
I collected money from everyone starting from behind the vehicle. I gave each one of them there change because i was collecting fifty Kenyan shillings per person. They were around eighteen passengers and the exact number of passengers should be fourteen. I was holding nine hundred shillings. I didn't put the money in my pocket. I just hold it in my right hand while the left hand was waving for any other passenger going. Most conductors do that so who am I to be exceptional.
Thirty minutes later, the driver pulled the vehicle in a small stage although still a busy stage.
Driver: So how much do you have?
Me: Nine hundred Ksh.
Driver: What!! I always collect seven hundred and fifty. You already got the job.
We later parked the vehicle heading to town waiting for passengers to start boarding the matatu for town.
Kakuyuni is a small town almost a market but big enough to be a market. I looked on my left there was a storey unfinished building. The building was still on the ground floor.
On top of that building I saw two guys smoking something and by this time two passengers have entered into our matatu.
I was just standing beside our vehicle watching those two guys above the building laughing, I don't know why?
I was just telling the third passenger about the fare price when I heard Puff!!
I saw one of the guys who was smoking landing on the ground with a heavy sound, i think he had fallen on his stomach cause I ran where he was lying and found his forehead on the ground. Some people had already gathered worried. I touched him and he sat up and then I asked him, "What's wrong?"
He looked at me and then he looked at the crowd for some time then he answered, "I even don't know what is wrong, as you can see I just arrived here now now."
We dispersed after we realised the effects of weed.
