Giving out a great deal of wickedness towards the unsuspecting passers-by, causing Grannies pains so deep and the pregnant women sorrow.....my heart bleeds for you!??
I remember my first encounter with you, how that I was so innocently trekking from where the Keke man dropped me to the famous peace park at Ogbete. I remember I saw you following me and all I did was greet you with a smile and you responded. You should have told me you were just after the huge amount of money with me; I should have known that that park was another Upper Iweka of our time.?? You robbed me in broad daylight without smpathy or remorse, I saw the expression on people's faces, but no one dared interfere because you have made yourselves gods so unapproachable.
I remember it was not just one person and for the moment I started resisting your attempt to take my money, your cohorts who had watchfully dispatched themselves, came in to assist you. ?
It was just like a dream but 10am was both too early to be sleeping and too late to be dreaming. ??
I have not come to judge you but to ask you some questions. Questions that may perhaps leave you with thoughts, questions that I hope should make you sober??.
Of all the things in the world to do:
Why this ignominious act?☹️
Why have you chosen to live this way??
Why have you sworn to deprive innocent people of their belongings in such a vicious manner??
Why have you chosen the most indecent way to abate hunger and meet your needs?
Oh! what a shame!??
That you would wake in the morning, and while others are praying for the day, you will be busy smoking weed to charge yourselves and then out you go to the streets of the busy park looking all rumpled, scavenging to deprive people of their hard-earned possessions. ??
As old as you are, old enough to be called “Uncles” and “Daddies,” yet you do these callous acts without the slightest feeling of remorse and raise your shoulders high as if you defeated a nation…as if the world is at your feet??
You can only end up feeling more depressed, frustrated, and furious and of course poorer.
I know our leaders have failed us, I know there are no jobs out there for you and me, I also know that the society is not helping but they are not enough reasons for being #Purposeless.
What about the very many others sharing the same fate with you who in spite of it, choose the right path?
Do you think you are the only one in this? The only one who has to face this life of insufficiency. ?
What lessons can you teach your kids from your life or what legacy is there to leave for them to follow?
I know the fire is too hot and the demand to represent and satisfy the needs of the people depending on you to survive is high but you cannot rob Peter to pay Paul.
Whatever you do, as long as it hurts people, it cannot be acceptable.
I know you have a heart as beautiful as you are.
I know something can be done about this.
I know it also hurts you to see that you hurt others but what can you do?
I know you can be better and I want you to change for good
Have you tried giving attention to something that is honourable?
You could learn a trade, acquire new skills; start something decent.
The reason why you are still in this act is that you have refused to try other options patiently.
There is always a way out!?
You are blessed with talents and abilities?
At a point in your lives, you had dreams, definitely not to be a pickpocket and I believe that you can be better if you choose to patiently pursue becoming a better individual
A man, even you can be very proud of.??
