Another boring night with my stepfather, I grumbled within me.

  "Alicia!"

"Speak of the devil," I muttered at the holler of my name, as my stepfather barged in. "D-Dad,” I got up nervously, and he shut me up with a growl.

"Don't Dad me, you fool! What in fuck sake did you serve me?" He showed the cornbread to me.

"I'm sorry, Dad, but that's all we have." I managed to say, and his anger grew.

  "That's all we have?!"

I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Y-yes,"

"And why are you shaking?! Am I doing anything to you?"

"N-no," I stammered and moved backwards, as he followed.

"You're not scared of me, are you?" He chuckled softly, rolling his eyes at me, as I caught him staring at my nips which were already sticking out from the night gown I had on.

Dang it! I should have worn PJ's instead, I thought as I felt the back of my soles hit the bedpost.

There was no where to go, and before I could say a word, my stepfather had already wrapped his arms around me, moving them on my backside - he gave my butt cheeks a soft press as he whispered in my ear. "Mm, you're so beautiful - so sweet!"

I shuddered in his arms; the bulging muscles of his masculinity almost suffocating me, as I remained still, for fear he would shout.

"Oh, my," He let out a chuckle, nibbling on my ear.

My stepfather was a mean man, and never for once did he care about me or my existence... so why now?!

He was the selfish type, and I couldn't help but wonder how Mum had fallen in love with his kind. Dad was way better - or would have been better if I had gotten to be with him for so long.

I couldn't believe today was the day that I was to lose my virginity; not to the man I love, but to my own stepfather. This world is so cruel. I wish Mum and Dad were alive. Tears trickled down my cheeks, as I made to plead.

  "Dad,"

"How many times have I told you not to call me that?" He questioned aggressively, and pushed me on the bed.

  "Dad. Dad, please stop!"

"Oh, I've not even begun," He parted my legs roughly and got between them. "Oh, look how scared you are, my kitty." He said with a naughty smile.

"Dad..."

"Oh, no, no, baby. For tonight, call me... DADDY!"

Another boring night with my stepfather, I grumbled within me.   "Alicia!"   "Speak of the devil." I muttered at the holler of my name, as my stepfather barged in. "D-Dad,” I got up nervously, and he shut me up with a growl.    "Don't "Dad" me, you fool! What in fuck's sake did you serve me?" He showed the cornbread to me as he eyes moved.   "I'm sorry, Dad, but that's all we have left." I managed to say, and his anger grew.   "That's all we have left ?!"   I swallowed the lump in my throat and answered, "Y-yes,"   "And why are you shaking? Am I doing anything to you?!"   "N-no," I stammered again and moved backwards, as he followed, giving a chuckle.   "You're not scared of me, are you?" He asked, his gaze fixed on my nips.   Dang it! I should have worn PJ's instead, I moved backwards, feeling uncomfortable in the transparent night gown I had on.   There was no where to go as my stepfather made certain of that, getting me trapped in my own room - and just before I could utter a word, he wrapped his arms around me; moving one hand on my backside as he gave my right cheek a light press, and the other a lasting one. "Mm, you're so beautiful - so sweet!" came his soft whispers, as I shuddered and gasped; the bulging muscles of his masculinity almost suffocating me, as I remained still for fear he would shout. "Oh. Oh, damn!" He let out a low moan, followed by a chuckle, as he nibbled on my left ear.     My stepfather was a mean man, and never for once did he care about me or my existence. So why now?!   He was the selfish type, and I couldn't help but wonder how Mum had fallen in love with his kind. Dad was way better - or would have been if I had gotten to be with him for so long.   I couldn't believe today was the day that I was to lose my virginity to a man I had no feelings for; my own stepfather. Oh, what a cruel world we live in! If only Mum and Dad haven't died, I'd have been living a much better live now, I thought as tears trickled down my cheeks.   "Oh, don't you cry, baby. I'll take it really easy on you." He said in a mocking tone and gave my right nipple a pinch.   "Dad!" I groaned at the sensation birthed by his actions, and he threw a deadly scowl at me.   "How many times have I told you not to call me that?" He questioned aggressively and pushed me on the bed.   "Dad. D-Dad, please...!"   "Oh, I'm not even doing anything yet," He parted my legs roughly and got between them. "Ah, look how scared you are, my kitty." He said with a naughty smile.   "Dad..."   He cut me short. "Oh, no, no, honey. For tonight, call me... DADDY!"           ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   The name's Alicia. I'm an orphan who has got no one but a horrible stepfather who wastes no time in making life a whole lot difficult for her. I was born with a silver spoon, but unfortunately, I lost my parents before I even turned eighteen. I didn't get to know my dad really well as he died just before I clocked eight. Mom never made me feel any different as she showered me with all the love that I could ever ask for. And even when she got married again, she didn't stop. I was only twelve, and I was really happy that I was going to have a father again, totally unaware what the future held.   When mom got married to my stepfather, I never expected him to be more of a grump. I was looking forward to having a father-daughter bond with him, but things didn't go as I wished.   Three years after my mom was married to Ian Young, she grew terribly ill and was diagnosed with cancer. I was so heartbroken when my stepfather broke the news to me, and I could see he felt not a single pain at the thought of my mother on the brink of death. I could see right through his eyes, but my dearest mother, who was deeply in love with this man couldn't see what her little girl was seeing. At that time I knew not what glioblastoma meant, but when I asked my science teacher what it was, he gave me just the answer I needed, giving me the chills at the thought of my poor mother dying anytime soon. There wasn't anything that I could do... not even the doctors, as my mom had hidden it for quite long. She died a year later, and I was left with no one other than my stepfather, who always found a way to make my life miserable.          ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   "Alicia!!"   "Not again!" I shook my head in annoyance and tossed the broom to the side.   "Alicia!"   "I'm coming. Oh, I'm coming." I answered hurriedly and left what I was doing.   I was a maid in my home now, and there wasn't anything I could do about it.   "Alicia, where is my credit card?"   I shrugged my shoulders and said, "I don't know. Who would have taken it, anyway?" I stifled a laugh, pleased that my plan of getting him on edge was working. Just who does he think he is trying to frustrate me? Serves you right, stepfather!   "You don't know?" His teeth clenched as he asked, and I said nothing. "You don't know, huh?" He repeated, expecting me to say something, which I did.   "I said, I... don't... know!"   I refused to be shaking, not this time. The girl he had known to be fearful, died the very night he laid his filthy hands on her.   "Ugh. I see you've grown wings overnight. Have you?"   "Yes, I have!"   He raised his hand to hit me as the sound of the doorbell came, making him lower his hand. "You should count yourself lucky, Miss!" He said, making to answer the door, as he ordered me not to leave the study room.   I didn't know what had come over me to snap at him like that. I wasn't raised in that manner, and it was certainly not the way my mom would have want me talking to someone way older than me. I was getting bolder by the minute, and less scared compared to the 'old' me. My vengeful side grew with each day, and I wished to get back at him for every pain he caused me, and for making me look like a broken toy in the hands of its owner. I had no one to talk to, not even my boyfriend, Richard. I avoided him most, and I could tell he was starting to notice.   "Mr. Young, is Alice home?" I heard a familiar voice ask, and I moved out of the study room, forgetting all about my stepfather's order.   "Richard?" I chimed in before Ian could make a sentence about me not being home.   Ian was the name I called him now as I lost every respect I had for him. So, now, he's just a man who doesn't respect a woman's feelings in my eyes.     "Alice -" He called, a faint smile escaping my lips as I ran upstairs, hoping he wouldn't run after me.   I wasn't ready to give answers to any question that morning, and was certainly not ready to tell him about Ian and I.   Ian, on the other hand, wouldn't stop getting me irritated all the time. We would make out frequently, and even when I was tired, he still wouldn't stop. I was starting to wonder if my life was really what it was, and wished he'd just disappear so I could have back my once peaceful life where I wouldn't have to worry about anyone wreaking havoc or being such a nuisance.   "Uh, you were really hot today, my baby,"   "Yeah." I gave a laconic reply to his compliment as I made to sit up. Well, if he's looking for something other than that, then he's a fool.   "Just yeah?" He pulled me down on him and ran his fingers on the back side of my neck.   "Why? Were you expecting something else?" I shrugged and pulled away from him totally.   "Oh, come on, baby. After the series of hot sex we had, do you still have to go about that?"   "Yes, Ian. And you know why?!"   "Well, tell me." He sat up and fixed his gaze on me, as I made sure to leave no part of my body uncovered.   "Cause I hate you. I hate everything that you've put me through!" I spat with a disgusted look and made to get out of bed, as he hand came on mine.   "You know, if your mother were to be alive, you wouldn't dare utter such in my face."   "Exactly, stepfather! If my mother was here, I wouldn't be stuck in this situation!" My face reddened at the mention of my mother's name, as pain and shame flushed over me, little teardrops breaking free from their glands.   He let go of my hand, seeing how angry and hurt I was, and he made to comfort me, as I gave him no chance - getting up to my feet, I picked up my clothes from the floor and left his bedroom before he came saying anything else.   For the rest of the day, I didn't talk to him nor did he. I stayed up in my room, not coming downstairs just so I wouldn't have to face him or say anything that'd get him really mad. I just wanted to be left alone, and I was starting to miss the outside world; Richard not excluded. I wished to be with him again, to feel his arms around me once more, and to tell him everything that I have been going through under the brute of my stepfather. I just couldn't bring myself to. I loved Richard Miller so and I didn't want him getting hurt... not because of me.   Richard and I have been together right from kindergarten. And even in highschool, we were never apart. He was always there for me; like a brother, he was there; a best friend, he was also there for me - he's always been there for me, and I knew not telling him everything that has been going on, was the safest way for him not to get caught up in the middle... and for me not to lose him.   The thought of him ran through my mind all morning as it gave me comfort. "I shouldn't be shutting him out," I said to myself as I thought in bed. ...not in this way, I thought inwardly again. I'm so sorry, Richard. I wish I could tell you everything, but this is for the best. I hope one day when things get really  better, we will be together again. I promise.   "Looks like you're in a mood," The annoying voice of my stepfather made me realize he was present.   "One reason you should stay away from me," I gave a shrug and faced the other side.   The soles of his shoes made an irritating noise on the carpet as he made towards to me. "You know, you should stop being so stubborn and let me do whatever I want with you,"   "Cause I'm not your daughter?!" I turned to face him. "Tell me, stepfather. If your daughter was having an affair with a man about your age, would you have supported her?!" I asked with annoyance, and he replied with a chuckle.   "Well, why not? Everyone's got a choice to make."   "God! You're so unbelievable!" I scoffed and got up from where I laid. "You can have fun staying here. I'm going downstairs."   "Not without a kiss," His hands came around my waist as he pulled me backwards, making me shout.   "Dad!"   "Oh, don't stop calling me Ian now," He tickled me and I couldn't help but laugh.   He swooped me up in his arms and turned around, as he made to place me on the bed.   "Dad, I need to eat," I grumbled, knowing what he had in mind.   He leaned closer and whispered in my ears to be quiet, as I didn't dare object, lest he used the whip on me for my silliness. I  parted my legs for him, watching him take his belt off, as I laid, praying he'd take it easy on me this time.   "Ready?"   I didn't know what to say but nodded instead. I was ready for whatever that I came, as I felt light kisses on my legs. Is he actually being gentle? I laid still, though surprised.   He moved his closed lips up my right, planting sweet kisses on my inner thigh, while his fingers worked themselves on the other.   Having done that, he wasted no time giving pleasure to my left leg, as he took a nibble on the fleshy part, and then looked up at me. "Painful?"   I tightened my lips and nodded slightly. I remembered I had no pant on... that I had taken them off earlier when I wanted to feel free. He gave a naughty grin at the sight of my glistening trimmed pussy; the fleshy mound in between perfectly revealed from where it stood, its surface already wet from the gentle touch, as I made too cover my legs at the sight of his lustful stare.   "Just stay still," He spoke softly, having no hard time locating my hot centre.   He gave a light press, gently applying pressure on it, and then a pinch, as I trembled and moaned. "Oh!"   He withdrew his hand and looked up at me again. "Does it hurt?"   Well, that's a first. Why is he being so nice today? I wondered and uttered no word, letting him play with his toy.   I felt his hand slide into my entrance, my walls ready to welcome him, as he began thrusting, slowly at first, then faster at the insertion of another, while his thumb worked on my throbbing "c".   I could feel two hungry fingers inside of me, a third sliding smoothly in, followed by another; the whole slipping in and out of me at once, as my cavity felt like they were going to explode having them all in. "Ah-ahh-ahhh!" Moans of pleasure filled with pain, graced the hot air as I couldn't stop myself from dancing to his tune.   I was so lost, till the point I didn't know when my moans grew louder, caring not if people nearby could hear. My orgasm was gathering up really fast, and I knew that there was no way I could hold on much longer, as it won't be long before my juices came flowing onto the bedsheets.   I braced myself, grabbing the sheets, my eyelids glued shut, as I felt something warm move out of me, followed my Ian's hand.   I breathed heavily, hoping that wasn't the last, as Ian brought his lips on my wet entrance, like he had read my mind, and began sucking wildly like his life depended on it. I could tell he was enjoying himself, and the way my legs moved all over his face turned him on even more. He did nothing but tease me all day, and I loved the fact that he didn't have to use that wholesome 6-inches of his inside of me, else I would have gone short of breath.   I was enjoying the new him to my surprise, and I wondered what my poor mother would say if she saw her daughter and her husband having the best time of their lives on her matrimonial bed.   Know this. All this started with me not running away from home, and with me not telling anyone about what was going on inside. I was becoming more like Ian... if not worse.   Even though a part of me didn't like what I was up against, the other wished to be Ian's submissive slave, not caring who got hurt in the end.   One day, I gathered up courage to visit Richard, only for me to find out that he and his family had already moved away. I was dumbfounded and hurt, knowing he didn't even get to say goodbye.          ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   "Hey,"   "Hey." I sat up and got my hands in one fold.   "Thought I might bring you some snacks. You've been in here for so long," He spoke nicely, placing the tray on my legs.   I looked at the smoothie and crackers, as that same feeling came again -   "Excuse me." I got the tray off my legs and rushed into the bathroom, as I began throwing up in the sink, my inside feeling really hot.    "You okay there?" Ian walked in, and I didn't know what answer to give; Was it to tell him that I was puking for the third time, or I was sick of him not telling me things?   "You are definitely mocking me, aren't you?" I looked up with a weary smile and looked down again - this time sprinkling water on my face to keep it cool. "Why didn't you tell me that Mr. Miller and his family moved away?" I asked the minute I turned the water off.   "Who? You mean Richard's family?"   I snapped at him, so fed up of his pretence. "Don't act so dumb. I know you and the Miller's are pretty close." I said with eyes rolling.   "And even if I did tell you, and even given you the letter he had sent, what would you have done? Follow him?!" He questioned with rage, and my eyes widened.   "Richard sent a letter? R-Richard sent a letter?!" I questioned twice, not believing he had kept it from me. "Why didn't you tell me that Richard came to say goodbye? Why, stepfather?!" I shouted on top of my voice as my heart felt heavy at the thought of me not seeing him for the last time.   "It'd make no difference..."   "Oh, hell, it would!" I snapped at him and staggered backwards, clinging to the sink. "Are you really this selfish?"   "Yes, Alice. I am! I'm so selfish that I can't let any man have you but me!" He yelled and gripped my hand. "That letter was better off in ashes than in your hands. Yes, Alice. I made sure I got rid of it."   "What? Oh, no. Now I'll never know what he wrote. How could you do such a thing? You're so heartless! I hate you so much. I hate you!" I ranted and began hitting him, as he made no effort of pushing me off. "Why are you standing there? Come on, hit me. I said, Hit me!"   "Alice!"   "Just leave me alone! I never want to see you again. Just go!" I gestured to the door, and he made no utterance but left like I had ordered him to.   I couldn't believe Richard was gone. Where was I to see him? I never should have pushed him away. I never should have! I cried all day, feeling sorry for my mistakes. And for hurting him without knowing.   The next morning, the same thing that happened the previous day happened again, leaving me with no other option than to go see a doctor.          ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   "How old are you again?" The doctor asked, and I answered, having nothing in mind.   "I'm 18,"   "Have you had sex before?"   My lips quivered, and I looked down at my fingers as they trembled nervously. Why is she asking me all this? "I-I don't know where you're getting at, doctor. What has this got to do with me being unwell?"   "Well, Ms. Jones, you're three weeks pregnant." She broke the news to me, and my jaw dropped open.   "I'm sorry, what?"   "Yes. The test here shows that you are." She handed the paper to me, as my eyes got fixed on it, not believing the records. "But... but it can't be possible, Doctor. I-I can't be pregnant, right?"   "Doctor Lopez," A nurse called to our attention. "We have an emergency -"         ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   I still held the paper in my hand as I walked down the hall. How will Ian react when he gets to know about this? No! I can't tell him. I can't let him know about this baby. I can't. Tears rolled down my face, and I wiped it off so no one will see it. You're three weeks pregnant... the doctor's voice echoed in my ears. I couldn't believe I was carrying a child inside of me - one to call my own. I was really happy about it, and at the same time, scared; scared of being denied. But the thought of having my child being raised by a delusional man scared me the most. I wished for a better future, one he'd grow up to be better... or she. Whatever the baby came out as.   I reached home, finding Ian already at home, as he asked me where I had gone to, and I gave a reply. "I went to the mart," I showed him the grocery bags.   It was a good thing that I had stopped by the mart and bought some things that I'll be needing for my journey. Ian bought the lie and gave me a 'welcome' kiss, as he left for his study room.   I quickly rushed upstairs and packed a few of my things, tiptoeing quietly down the stairs, as I caught sight of him at the door.   He made towards me with a wicked grin carved on his face, as my heart raced faster. "Just where do you think you're going?"   "N-nowhere," I stammered and moved backwards.   "Doesn't seem like it," He smirked, and I gathered up courage to speak.   "I'm leaving Ian. I can't stay here anymore...'   "You ungrateful child!" He thundered and grabbed a hold of my hand, as the rage in his eyes could be clearly seen.   He pulled me with him as a sharp groan escaped my lips. "Dad, stop!"   He didn't listen...   His hand tightened on me as he dragged me against my will. He snatched my bag from me and lifted me up on his shoulder, as he carried me all the way up.   I was really terrified about what he was going to do, and I felt really helpless, having no one rescue me from the devil's grasp.   I pleaded for him to let me go, but he remained stubborn, slamming my body on his bed, as he came on top of me with full force, ripping my clothes off like an animal that he was.   He pushed my legs apart, getting my pant ripped off in just a second, as he brought his briefs down, releasing his enormous head from the comfort of his boxers, and drove roughly into me, showing no mercy.   I had never seen this rage in him before, not even when he got so mad at me. I knew at this point that I was going to pass out. And before I knew it, my eyelids rolled on each other... and that was it.          ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ TO BE CONTINUED!

"Mommy. Mommy, can we go outside and play?"   "I'm coming, baby. Oh, and, offload the canned sardines before anything. The mangoes should go in the crates." I said to the caller and ended the call.   "Mommy," Alexa, my daughter called again, and I looked down at her.   "Baby, what's that? And where's Alex?" I rolled my eyes around for him.   "Ally's with aunt Maya, Mommy."   I smiled and carried her up. "Is that so, baby? Why aren't you with them, then?"   "Cause Alex is making fun of me again." She rubbed her eyes.   "Oh, he's just playing, baby. And no. You can't go outside. You know what Mommy says about going out to play."   "I know." She said with a frown, as she played with her fingers.   "How about this, hm? When we're done having lunch, we can go get some ice cream. You like that, huh?"   "Uh-huh. Then we can go to the playground. Jason and Suzy will be there."   "Of course, baby. Anything for you." I kissed her lightly on the cheek.   "Mommy. Mommy, where are you?" Tiny feet scampered towards us.   "Oh, baby, stop running..."   "Ooh... Ally's in trouble!" Alexa made fun of him, and I gave her left cheek a pinch.   "Oh, stop teasing your brother, you. You want something, hon?" I looked down at Alex, and he answered with arms folded and face squeezed.   "No,"   "Oh, look who's silly again!"   "Alexa..."   "Oopsie!" The little girl laughed and buried her face in her palms.   "Now, baby, what's with that face?"   "Lexi broke my toy car." He whined, and they began arguing.   "Did not!"   "Did too!   "Did not!   "Did too!   "Not!" "Too! "No -"   "Okay, okay, guys. What really happened?" I brought Lexi down and made to listen.   Turned out Alexa was the one that broke it, and after confessing to me that it wasn't intentional, she apologized to her brother, and they both hugged.   "There. Now give Mommy a kiss." I positioned my cheeks as they planted a kiss on them together.   Maya, my housekeeper, walked downstairs some minutes later, and I asked her to take them outside for a while... only for a while.   Alex and Alexa were the charming angels God has blessed me with. They were six and a half years old and the thought of them growing up fast made me really happy.   Alexa looked a lot like me while Alex had most of his father's features, that wasn't hidden. Sometimes, when I looked back at what had gone on in the past, I couldn't help but feel sorry about not telling Ian that I was pregnant when I left home. Well, at least my babies were better off without him. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   "Mommy,"   "Mm, baby?"   "Where's Daddy?" Alexa's question made me freeze.   I wasn't expecting her to ask me such. And I didn't know the right answer to give. But I knew I had to say something. I'm her Mom, aren't I? Moms ought to make things right.   "Yes, Mommy. Tell us why we don't have a daddy like other kids at school." Alex dropped the building blocks he held in his hands and made to sit beside me.   "Well, babies. Your dad traveled outside the country and he won't be coming back anytime soon," I tried to sound as convincing as possible. And besides, they're just kids. They'll believe anything.   "Really, mommy?" Alexa's eyes shone with excitement.   "Yes, baby."   "But can we talk to him?" Alex suggested, and I tried not to frown.   "No, sweetheart. Not for the mean time." I shook my head and patted his. "Now come on, you two. Let's go have some candies."   "Yay! Candies, candies!" The twosome sang with delight, and I couldn't help but smile at how cute they looked. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ Alex had this allergy problems when he got to eat too much sugar in a day. I had that same problem, and I had no idea Maya had bought some cotton candy for them that day. I was really terrified when I found out he wasn't feeling well that night. We were out of meds and I haven't stopped by the pharmacy for a refill. I was confused on what to do, and was left with no choice but to rush him to the hospital immediately. "Mommy where are we?” I woke up the sound of Alex's voice. "Sweedy, you're up. How are you feeling?' "Mm. I feel fine. Where is Lexi?" I smiled and answered, "Lexi's at home, baby. She's with aunt Maya." The twins have never been apart for so long, so I knew exactly how he felt. "Really, Mommy? Why aren't they here? Is Lexi still angry with me?" "Oh, come on, baby. You know your sister can never be angry with you. And why didn't you tell me you had cotton candy before? I told you not to have too much sugar, remember?" I scolded softly and he bowed his head. "I'm sorry, Mommy. I just didn't want you to shout." I laughed softly at his tender voice and gave his knuckle a rub. "It's okay, baby. "I'm just really glad you're okay now. But know aunt Maya and I are certainly gonna have a chat. Why didn't she tell me that you guys had cotton candy?" "Mom, it's not aunt Maya's fault. We told her we wanted to. Please don't shout at her." He begged with frightened eyes. "And Mommy, am I going to die?" I laughed at his question. "Of course not, sweedy. You are not going to die. Mommy won't let anything happen to you." "She's right, you know." My heart skipped at the recognition of the voice. It can't be, I swallowed and turned around to be sure. "R-Richard?" My breath seized and vision blurred. After all these years... and here we are again. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ "So, you're a... um... a" "A doctor?" He raised a brow, and I continued. "Yes, that. You know, you look seasoned and all. Fresh even." I shrugged my shoulders and sighed with regret. "God, Richard. I have a lot to tell you." I felt really awkward being with him I didn't expect us to meet like this, not in this way. But I was really happy he was living his dreams. "Me, too. I see you're married now. That's good." He said, the excitement in his voice not recognized. How was I to tell him that I wasn't? "Um, how did you know I was here?" I tucked my loose hair behind. "My dad owns this hospital," He replied. "So I know every patient that goes in and out of it." He continued. "I see. Well, um, I gotta go back. My son needs me." "Y-yeah. Sure." He added, "It's good to see you again, though." I was really glad seeing Richard. He looked really different from the guy I knew. I could say I missed seeing that happy face of his, and I looked forward to seeing him again. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ "Ally!" Alexa rushed towards us as she gave Alex a hug. "Welcome, aunt." "Oh, thank you." I thanked as she collected my handbag from me. "Hi, Mommy." "Hi, baby. Mm, I missed you." I bent forward to give her a kiss . "Hope you didn't give aunt Maya here any trouble?" "No, Mommy. You can ask her." She pointed to Maya and wrapped her tiny arms around my legs. "Ha-oh. I'll sure do that.." "Mommy, is Ally feeling okay now? I miss playing with him." "Uh-huh. I'm fine now. Right, mama?" Alex tugged at my coat. "Yes, baby. But the doctor said you need plenty of rest." "Awe." They echoed in unison. "That's right, babies. Now let's go upstairs..." I clung to their arms as we made for the stairs. Days grew into weeks, and I still didn't see Richard anywhere. I really wanted to see him again; to be able to feel him, but I knew it wasn't going to be possible, not with him thinking I'm married. I loved Richard still, and I wished that fate which made us meet again, would make it possible for us to be together like old times. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ "Okay, guys. That's it for today. Make sure you lock all the doors, and turn off the air conditioning. Okay?" "Okay, ma'am." It's being a long day and I just couldn't wait to get back home to my kids. I walked to where my car was packed, making to open the door, as my keys slipped and fell to the ground. I groaned and arched forward, as some man stooped down to help. "Oops! Sorry." He picked the car keys as he raised his head up. "I-Ian?" "Alice?" I couldn't believe it. I was staring right into the eyes of the man that had almost ruined my life - the man I have long forgotten. "Could I be dreaming?" I thought aloud. "No, you're not dreaming." He said. "I-I have to go," I breathed and collected the car keys from him, as he stopped me from taking any step. "Alice, wait..." "Let go of me, will you?!" I snatched my hand away. "Just who do you think you are?!" "Alicia," He started. "I know you're mad at me for everything, but please hear me out. I've been looking everywhere for you." "Looking everywhere for me?" I jeered at his remarks. "You've been looking everywhere for me, huh?" "B-baby, please. Please just come back to me. I've missed you so much." He made to touch me, and I moved backwards, giving him a disdainful look. "I hate the day I ever called you dad. Grr! You disgust me." I spat in his face. "Alicia..." I boiled at his stubbornness and pushed him off. "Just let me be. God!" I breathed heavily and got into the car. I didn't care if I left him standing. I just wanted to leave this place, and not be faced with my past... not now things are going well for me. TO BE CONT'D ???

I got home unwell, feeling completely out of mood, as I had Maya tend to the twins while I got some rest. My body was burning like hell and I could feel myself getting nauseous. I was sick from the father of my kids being back again, and I wondered what would happen if he got to know about his kids. No, I can't let him know about them, I sat up and looked to my right. I caught sight of the pain pill that I had earlier kept on the stool. I made to pick it up as the door of my room came open, two heads appearing suddenly from behind it. "Hey, babies," "Hi, Mommy." The twins greeted and walked in. "Thought you two might be asleep by now." "No, mommy. We want to stay with you." Alexa spoke. I beckoned to them to come sit, and they gave happy giggles and ran towards me, struggling for who would be first. It was really nice watching them do so, and it helped my ease my mind and made me not worry about anything... just for the time being. "I see you two are cozy in those jammies, huh?" "Yes, Mommy." They both chorused. "Mommy, are you feeling well?" "Yes, baby. Why did you ask?" "Your body's a little hot." She pulled away from me and felt my neck with the back of her hand like I do to them. "Mm-hmm. Mommy's okay." Sometimes you had to lie to protect your kids. I wasn't going to let Ian know about them. I knew he would try taking them if he got to know. I couldn't risk that. I loved them, and I was ready to keep the truth from them no matter what! ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ The kids and I decided to go to the park on a Sunday - having given a day off to Maya, we drove right off to Cumberland falls. Richard and his family had also chosen the state park that day. I was happy to have bumped into him again, and he invited us to come stay with them. Mr and Mrs Miller were really happy on seeing me, and I was surprised that they were able to recognize me, even though it's been a long time. "So, Lisha. How's Kentucky treating you?" Mrs. Miller asked in a friendly tone, reminding me of the time she used to call me by that name. "Kentucky's a nice place." I took a brownie out of the flower plate in front of me and put it into my mouth. I looked to where Alex and Alexa were playing on the slide, and they waved at me as I waved back. "You know, a little birdie told me that you broke me Richy's heart." "Mum!" Richard shouted and I forced a smile. "Ha! Kidding." She raised the glass jug. "Lemonade? Anyone?" ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ The thought of what Richard's mother had said ran through my mind. I couldn't stop thinking about it, and I wondered if Richard had said just that, or she chose to make it up herself. Ian still pestered me, knowing I was in Kentucky. I didn't know how he had gotten to know where I live, but I didn't need anyone telling me that that was a problem. "What are you doing here?" I asked disdainfully as he made to hug me. "Hey-hey," I stopped him immediately. "Just who the hell do you think you are trying to barge into my home?" "Baby, you have to listen to me..." "Just stop! Enough with the pretence. I am so fed up with you pestering me all the time. Haven't you had enough?!" I spat and eyed him, as he made to kneel. "What the hell are you..." "Look. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, okay? I know I've wronged you in so many ways. Just please come back. I promise to make things right when we're back together." "Like we were ever a couple?" I said in a mocking tone with my eyebrows arched up. "I promise to do anything - anything just so I could get you back in my arms." "All you care about is my body, I-A-N. Now get out!" "Baby?" "I said, get out! Get out of my house before I call the cops!" I made to slam the door on his face as he stopped me from doing so. "Alicia, please -" "Mommy?" Oh, no. Why isn't Alex upstairs? "Mommy?" He gasped. "Goodbye, stepfather!" I slammed the door shut at his release and I turned around, gasping for breath. "Mommy, who is that man?" "It's no one, baby. No one." I moved towards him and carried him. It seemed like I was running out of time, and I didn't want to think of the day I'd have to give up my precious babies... not to that monster! Alex and Alexa meant the world to me, and if anything ever happened to them, I don't know what I'll do. I was ready to fight for them, even if it meant taken my secret to the grave. Ian has no right over them, and I'd make sure that whatever happens, he'll never be able to get to them! ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ How time flies when the day goes by so fast. Who knew twins seven-years old birthday party could turn out really stressful? They loved the presents I had given them, and Richard's weren't left out. He was growing fonder of them by the minute, and I could see the love he had for them was nothing but genuine. Richard and I became friends again not long after our encounter at the park. We've been really close... close not to have sex, though, as he wanted to keep things normal between us, which I understood. I told him everything about me, leaving the details of my past out, but going ahead in telling him that I wasn't married yet as he didn't mind. Our friendship was really blossoming and my love for him was growing stronger. I couldn't think of a better man than he. And just as if he knew what I wished dearly for, he asked me to marry him in the eight month of our friendship. "Richard?" I stared with eyes wide open as I looked down at him. "Yes, Alice. Marry me and make me the happiest man on earth." He smiled sweetly and I just gaped at him, thinking of what to say. Richard has being good to me... and also to my kids. But I was scared of giving in to his advances, and was scared of losing him again - but I had to do this. I couldn't say yes just yet. Not sure if it was the right thing to do. "I'm sorry, Richard. B-but I can't," I moved backwards as tears trickled down my cheeks. "B-but why not, Alice?" He got up to his feet and clasped my arms. "Tell me. What's making you back out now?" "You won't understand!" My tears flowed even more, and I was left with no choice but to leave before he came running after me. Memories of seven years ago crowded my mind and I remembered how I had ignored his call and ran upstairs. I just didn't know why I was doing this, but a part of me knew that things were definitely going to get ugly if the truth eventually came out. It'd be drastic seeing my kids getting caught up in the middle of everything. 'Getting caught up', I emphasized, not feeling any better. I just wish things would be a lot more easier than they seemed and I wouldn't have to worry about anything, I stared blankly and wished, hoping my actions wouldn't make Richard hate me. THIS IS UNDER THE SHORT STORY SECTION... ONE REASON IT DOESN'T HAVE AN EPISODE FEATURE. I HOPE NO ONE GETS CONFUSE AFTER READING THIS.

I was starting to miss Richard being around. My actions must have made him not want to see me. I really wished to talk to him; to tell him everything, but that'll make matters worse. After work, I drove straight to his house, determined to make things right, and hoped he'd be around. Luckily, he was there. I just didn't know where to start from, but I gathered up courage to speak as he said nothing but listened - it seemed he didn't care as he upset concentrated on his wine than me.   "Uh, are you even listening?" I asked with shoulders shrugged.   I couldn't believe he was being so mad at me, till the point he wouldn't even look at me. "Do you hate me now? Wh-why are you not saying anything? Are you that mad at me that you can't even look at me?"   "I am not mad at you, Alice. You made your choice, yeah! You don't have to apologize." He lowered his glass on the stool and got up from the couch.   "Well, that's the problem, Richard. I just wasn't thinking straight. I was confused, okay? I didn't know what to do." I tried to explain, and he shook his head and made to walk out on me.   "Richard, please," I held on to him. "Please don't go. I've missed you these past few days. I don't know what came over me. Please don't turn your back on me. I love you. I really do but..."   "But what?!" He shouted and turned sharply. "What Alice?! Is there something I should know?"   I heaved a deep breath and turned around. I wasn't ready to tell him about my father's kids. This will break his heart.   "Alice..."   "N-nothing." My legs trembled with heaviness. How am I to tell him that it was my stepfather that got me pregnant? No. No, I can't do this.   "Well, if you're not ready to talk, you might as well leave!" He barked with anger in his eyes.   "Richard?"   "Yes, Alice. Leave! The door is open for you."   I couldn't leave. I had to tell him. "You know, when you left Charlotte, I was really torn apart. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to contact you. Never for once did I not think about you, Richard. I longed to see you again, to be in your arms, to tell you how sorry for making you feel not needed. I wanted to tell you everything. But I was scared of doing so. An-and I was so naive -" The lump in my throat couldn't let me continue.   He drew closer to me and wrapped his arms around me to my surprise. "Dear, Alice," He started and I looked up at him.   "Wh-what are you...?"   "Just listen." He hushed and began.   *Dear, Alice,      I'm leaving town and I was hoping that you could come with me. Kentucky's an amazing place to be; a place to have a whole wondrous adventure. And above all, one where we can start anew - go to college, be never apart. Mother and father said it was okay if you came along, but I just don't understand why you're making it seem as if I mean nothing to you. Missing you has become a part of my daily life, and you avoiding me isn't helping situations You have no idea what each drop of tear costs and I don't wish for you to know, because the pain I feel is more than you can ever imagine. I miss you so much, Alice, and I hope that some day you will realize how much I have, and will need me as I needed you most.                     With hurt,                               Richard.*    I really hurt Richard, my heart felt heavy as he read what he wrote in his letter. It was never my intention to hurt him. I only did what I thought was right for. "I'm sorry, Richard. I'm so sorry. I never should have pushed you away." I sobbed uncontrollably in his arms, regretting everything that I'd done. I had to let out the truth and bottle them up no more - it's high time I stopped hiding things from him, I thought inwardly and sniffed. "There's something I need to tell you, Richard. Something I should have told you a long time ago."   I was ready now - ready to lay my burdens down, with no second thoughts about keeping my mouth shut.   "I was so naive, Richard. I wanted to tell you all about it but was so ashamed of myself." I said coldly. "I had to move away from Charlotte when I found out that I was pregnant. And luckily, I was able to get a job, and in no time, gained grounds, making me able to cater for my kids."   "You went through all that?"   "Yes, Richard. I wanted to tell you but..."   "Shh. It's okay now. it's all okay." He embraced me once more.   I was relieved, knowing that I wasn't carrying the load alone, that I had Richard by my side - and this time, I was determined to marry him. ONE MONTH LATER   "Where are we going, babe?"   "Just wait."   I walked with eyes covered with a blindfold, as I waited for the signal.   "Are we there now? My eyes are starting to get weary." I whined playfully as he led me on.   "Just one last step. Uh-huh. Yes. Come on, baby. You're doing it. Just one last... mm-hmm. Yeah... that's it. Stop!"   "We're there?"   "Wait for it -"   "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"   The blindfold came off immediately. "Oh-oh my God!" I cried out in surprise as he kissed my cheek.   "Happy birthday, baby."   "Happy Birthday, Mommy." Alex and Alexa ran towards me as I stooped to hug them.   "Oh, babies. Richard, how are they here?" I looked at Richard, surprised at seeing them.   They weren't the only one that graced the occasion. Richard's parents were there; his sister, Ellen, alongside the other guests - Maya not excluded. "Uncle Richard asked aunt Maya to bring us Mommy. He wanted to make it a surprise." Alexa chipped in and I laughed.   "Oh, you guys. I love you so much." I gave them a kiss and said to Richard, "And I love you more."   "We love you too, Mommy." The twins uttered in unison, stopping Richard from saying his.   "Don't worry. Yours is coming." He chuckled and kissed my cheek again.   "Everyone! I have something to say,"   I was curious about what he was about to say as he turned to me and got on one knee to my surprise. "Alicia Payne Jones - when I met you, I knew I'd met the perfect one for me. It was only a matter of time until we arrived at this moment, despite the challenges life had to offer. You deserve the very best, someone who will back you up without limits, let you grow without borders, and love you without end. Will you let me be the one?"   Tears of joy trickled down my cheeks as I said yes. "Yes. Yes!" I said happily as he slipped the ring onto my middle finger as everyone clapped and rose petals came falling down on us as we kissed.   It was the best day of my life and I wished it'd never end. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   "Guess what, babe!"   "Mm? What's that?"   I pulled out an envelope from behind me and wiggled it.   "And this is?"   "Just check it out." I blushed and rolled my eyes at him, as he took it from me.   "You're pregnant?!" He uttered loudly the moment the envelope came undone.   "Mm-hmm."   "My baby is pregnant!!" He dropped the envelope and swooped me into his arms.   I was overjoyed knowing I was carrying another life inside of me - Richard's baby. I couldn't wait to tell the twins about it. I knew they were going to be happy about having a sibling.   "You know, this calls for celebration."   "Uh-huh. What do you have in store this time?" I smiled as he put me down.   "Oh, it's going to be a surprise."   "Another one? Awe, Richy. No fair."   "Oh, I'll show you what's not fair," He carried me again and placed me on the bed.   He got in with me, as I spread my legs for him, ready for him to make love to me. He gave me a light kiss, moving his fingers down my body as they came on top my tum. "You feel that?"   "Feel what?"   "The baby. He's moving," He positioned his hand on my tummy and brought his hear closer. "Wow. We've got one ninja in there."   "Really? How are you sure the baby's gonna come out as a boy?"   He laughed and kissed my tum. "I just know it." He said, and made to kiss my bare stomach again, as my phone rang, ruining the moment.   "Just the perfect time," I shrugged as he got up from me.   I took my annoying phone out of my bag, as I groaned, seeing the name on it. "What are those kids up to now?"   "The twins? They're calling?"   "Mm-hmm." I nodded and slid my thumb on the answer sign.   "Mommy!" The twins' voice got me alerted.   "Babies? Sweethearts, what are you doing with my tablet?"   "Mommy... Mommy, there's someone in our house. We had a crash and aunt Maya's not here." They spoke at the same time as my heart skipped.   "Who's there, baby? And where are you guys?"   "We're under the bed, mama. We're so scared!"     I panicked at my kids being in danger. "Okay. Okay, babies. Don't go anywhere. Just stay right there. Stay right there, okay? Mommy is coming."   "Peek-a-boo!"   "Mommy!"   "I-Ian? Ian, what are you doing in my house? Let go of my kids!"   "That shouldn't be your major concern. Your kids are safe with me." He spoke ironically.   "Alice, what's wrong?"   "Ah. I see your precious Richard is there with you."   I breathed heavily and got out of bed. "Ian, please don't hurt my kids. Please!" I begged him. He gave me ten minutes to be there, else he'd kill them.   I rushed home, finding the house empty, with most of our things scattered on the floor, as I realized that he had tricked me.   "You animal! Where have you taken my kids?"   "You mean your kids... or ours?!"   Hot sweat flushed over me at that instant . "Y-you know,"   "I've always known, Alicia. What do you think I've been doing all these time?"   "You've been watching me?"   "Yes. Yes, little girl. You are not smart as you think."   "You monster! Where have you taken my kids? Where are my babies?!"   "Mommy. Mommy, where are you?"   "Babies? Babies, I'm here. Mommy, is here. Ian, please free my babies. They don't know anything. They're just kids. Ian, please!"   "You hear them now, don't you?" He laughed harder. "Well, that'll be the last you'll hear of them."   "No... no, Ian. Ian, no!"   "No? Well, there's nothing you can do. You'll never see your kids again!"   "Ian... Ian, please don't do this. I'll do anything. Just please don't hurt them. Please, stepfather. I beg of you!"   My kids shouldn't be going through this. It was never their fault. If anyone should be punished, it should be. I had to do something. I had to do something to save my kids.   "Wh-what do you want? Just name your price and I'll give it to you."   "Come to Lakeville and I'll tell you. Oh, and make sure you come alone." He chuckled and hung up on me.   I rushed into my car and drove off without wasting time, not before I texted Richard where I was headed to.   I looked around for them, finding no one but a dozen oaks, as I heard footsteps approach, making me flinch.   "Mm. Mommy's here already." A throat voice spoke and I turned around.   Not seeing my kids with him, I panicked. "Where are my kids?"   "First, I want to make certain that you keep your end of the bargain."   "What bargain?" I asked.   "To come with me; You and I, with our kids. We can start anew, Alicia... and be one happy family." He grinned widely.   "That'll never happen! My kids and I are better off without you!" I huffed at his insane thoughts.   "Is that so? Then you'll never be able to see them."   "You bastard! Heh. Well, too bad the police are on their way now. You have no where to go!" I  chuckled without fear.   "You're bluffing!"   "I'M... NOT!"   He gritted and pulled a gun on me.   "Hands above your heads!"   The cops landed just when I needed them. Ian was handcuffed and bundled into the black maria, as I watched with no pity. He deserved it. He deserved to pay for every pain he's ever caused me. And now, he'll never be able to get a hold of my kids... not anymore!   "Mommy... Uncle Richard!" Alex and Alexa came running towards us as I wrapped my arms around them, happy seeing them again.   I've missed them so, and I was glad to have them back in my arms. Thanks to Ian, who was left with no choice but to tell the police where he had taken them. My babies were safe, and there's no how Ian will come looking for them... ever again. ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆ ~~~ ☆   "Daddy, can I have a stuffed animal?"   "And a pirate ship... Rah!"   "Oh, good Lord. They've started."     Now my story is officially a happy tale to be always remembered. ~ THE END ~ FOR THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN COMMENTING, I WANT TO THANK Y'ALL.
