In loneliness I bask
Hiding behind some mask
Keeping myself behind this smiley face
My sadness I hope to erase
I always keep smiling
Even though others don't know the real pain that am hiding
And that is what I have shown the world to see
Alone, that's when I like being me
I hope someday, someone will feel my pain
And know how much I lose or gain
I wish to share with my friends
But my broken heart they cannot mend.
