WhatsApp is working on a new update which will include a spam message filter. This new feature will help users automatically detect spam messages.
Lately, WhatsApp has been working hard, tirelessly by releases updates to stay abreast as one of the best Instant Messaging apps in the world. Earlier this week, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on adding a group description feature and here again is Spam message filtering feature.
The new feature will display “Forwarded Message” if the message was transferred from another conversation or the same chat.
The spam message filter will help reduce or put a stop to the incessant circulation of spam messages on WhatsApp. Like seriously, it’s plaguing the platform just like Facebook.
According to WABetaInfo , the WhatsApp update tracker, this new feature is seen on WhatsApp beta for Android v2.18.67 , and that the feature is disabled by default.
It comes alongside with stickers feature first spotted on a Windows Phone beta. Both features are disabled by default. This means you have to enabled them from settings for it to start working.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this new update. Stay tuned to your Google Playstore app to know when the new update gets released.
