BEAUTIFUL THINGS

EPISODE 1 ******MORNING******* sweedieeee!!!! Is time for school, your late already. Mum’s voice flew into my ears, i did a little stretch looking at the wall clock its 8.03am already. What!!!! I exclaimed, got up as quick as possible, bumped into the shower and was out in less than a minute, i didnt even used the mouth wash, i grabbed ma bags and eye lenses kissed my mum goodbye and then hit the road. Well my name is desire lance, a 15 years old kid who lives in greenville. My school greenville high was just down the road. My mum always thougth i was a dull kid, but heeey i just hated my school, i got bullied every single day, i never really saw myself as lucky but as a kid, have got really big dreams. Well atleast i didnt realize what big dreams meant but as much as i would love to be a popular don juan who knows how to do a couple of things, i think i just wanna be that person nobody sees(invisible). And thats because things always gets weird around me…….. Stay tuned as i take u farther into my lifes adventures

EPISODE 2 Finally got to school in such a hurry Oh….my God not again i forgot my lens again! **** the doctor was clear when he said you want to see clearly, you’d be needing those lenses*** I thought to my self, things cant get any be worst than it already is can it?…. Before i forget am a high school finalist. I got to my class, shocked to see mrs Queen our English tutor already in class. I thought of going back home, wouldn't want to start my day with troubles but there’s this part of me that refused to back down “wheeew” like a wind i almost flew in when she turned yelling my name Desire!!!!! What the hell do you think your doing??? Omg!! I frozed as i watch my own heart sink. This time all attention was on me, i could only wish i had shells to crawl into. Mrs Queen in her ever harsh tune congratulation boy you just doubled your punishment, now go back to your sit your gonna get what you deserve right after my class. To say i was scared would be total understatement. Every single kid kept laughing like they just witness a real life hilarious scene. as usual, i guess am already used to this embarrassment, i heard people call names like clown, nerd, douchbag etc, all the time. But those ain't new to me because i was beginning to think it was normal for me. Finally the she devil finished teaching and was ready to sentence me to maybe 100years of shame or a thousand? Just couldnt get any worst.

EPISODE 3 *******THE SENTENCE******** I was tied to pools stake as usual but this time every kid in my class threw water balls at me, i just stared into an open space feeling angry, hurt, hated, different. Then it dawned on me, it doesnt matter how bad i feel, i still have to keep my emotions in check. I was begining to doubt if i had any pride at all *******FLASHBACK******** DEAR DIARY MUM ALWAYS SAID AM SOON GONNA BE A MAN, JUST LIKE MY DAD. I WONDER WHAT MY 1ST YEAR IN HIGH WOULD BE, WOOOW!! ITS SO GONNA BE FUN….. ATLEAST AM SURE OF IT I THOUGHT TO MY SELF. My week went smooth and i thought my high school years would be remarkably awesome, thought i would raise my shoulders high and say am now a man but as time flew by i got bullied by my class mate who claims am not supposed to be in their school and then i found myself gradually becoming more introverted, shy, timid, soft hearted kid with inferiority complex well i wont fail to mention i was given the name Greenville's clown. *********************** while the balls was thrown at me i thought about my life in greenville then i admitted to myself i had no pride left in me. Finally my punishment was over, i was really soaked with water but somrhow the pains my heart felt was expressed on my face and i guess it only made me look funnier cos everyone got to laugh like they were in the movies. I got to the bathroom to clean myself up, looking into the mirror all i saw was a broken kid i just grabbed my bags and ran home.

EPISODE 4 I got home ran passed my dad who just stared like hey whats wrong with that kid. *********MY FAMILY********* My dad a medical proffessioner/counsellor who spent most of his time on road trips, while mum was an event planner, other than that she was always invited to talk shows like relationships, parents and kids issues in general while my big sis…. Kourtney studies law in college and then ofcourse me. *********DAD*********** Honey whats wrong with that kid he just ran passed me into his room without a word. Mum: uhmm keith have been trying to tell you but you’ve been a little busy lately. Ever since he started high school he’s been acting all weird plus he’s never gotten good grade i think he needs a father and son chat. Dad: Annie am gonna try but you know that kid has never taken my advice seriously i think kourtney could be of help. Mum: alright then am calling her right away. I remained locked up in my room for that day, who cares about food this time have had just enough of those bullies, i just couldnt take it anymore, those were the last word i thought of before sleeping. I was awaken by the constant banging on my door, hmmm i guess this person doesnt want to give up. I stood up groaning like i was having the worst hangover of my life, i dragged my self to the door with blurry eyes. OOO MY GOODNESS!!!!!! KOURTNEY!!!! I yelled abit seeing my big sis standing at my door with her ever pretty smile, just then i fell into her arms and that was the last thing i remembered. She held him in her arms as she called out for her parent, who rushed upstairs, while dad bundled me into his car. I woke again seeing a really bright fluorescent lights, so bright that i kept trying to see for sometime but my eyes were hurting and blurry, finally i could make out images of my sis and images of a few individuals in white until it dawned on me i was at the hospital.

EPISODE 5 Finally i could see abit clearly, although still blurry cos i wasnt having my lenses on. Kourtney!! I thought excitedly as i tried sitting up but my head ached so bad i couldnt help but scream. Ouccch!!!! Which caught her attention. Dee your awake! Just relax ok am right here. That was when i realised i was on drip, i really wanted to hug her and cry over her shoulder, but right now all i could do was let out a painful smile. ********kourtney********* i just came back from school early this morning after dad called last night with a tone that seems like theres an emergency. I got home walked straight to dee’s room, i smiled to myself with the thought of how happy he’s gonna be on seeing me. I knew he missed me alot like i did to, then he passed out in my arms. And now here’s my dee looking very fragile, whatever happened he must has been hurt so bad i really cant stand seeing him hurt she finally let out. I know its kinda hard but you have to get better. I saw a drop of tears from her right eye and all i did was nod. ******MY PARENTS******* DOCTOR: I suppose you are mr and mrs lance, well there’s actually nothing physical wrong with your son MUM: *smiling* i guess my boy is perfectly alright? DOCTOR: Actually from our diagnoses your son is suffering a very high level of emotional stress issues if not attended to can result into a psychotic break down. DAD: What!!! DOCTOR: Yes he’s body system just couldnt take it any longer, it shuts down, which resulted to fainting and the coma state he’s in. Not to worry he’d be alright but then he has to be kept away from being worried about the past, and if he could be happy for atleast 3months, that way whatever form of emotional stress he’s going through, would have reduced effect.

EPISODE 7 I woke up this morning feeling so great! Best night ever! i smiled as i crawled out of bed, went straight to the kitchen. Today’s aroma was totally different (as mama’s only boy i could tell from the aroma, the food was prepared by her lol). Definitely kourtney should be the one cooking i thought exhaling deeply. I took a quick walk down to the kitchen, where i saw mum standing and kourtney seemed to be so busy running up and down as mum watched like she was being supervised. ME: Goodmorning pretty lance(imitatin gran dad) MUM: smiling…… Dee! Your awake, hope you slept well. KOURTNEY: Mum can you plss tell this kid of yours that am over here, she said interupting our chat. MUM: i think He heard you, she said still smiling ME: If its a goodmorning you’re waiting to hear, trust me you’d never get one kourt lol. In a quick reflex she threw a spoon at me but hey i was faster, i dodged! MUM: Dee go get dress you’ll be spending your day with me ME: Alright mum…. I really loved hanging out with my mum, speaking of love, i actually love my dad but i could do just anything for my mum. I went straight up, did a few cleaning in less than a hour i was through with my preparation. I hummed abit sitting on my bed, when thoughts about my school invaded, especially our prom night, i have lots of preparation to do. Just then i heard mum’s voice, desire come down for breakfast. After eating in silence, mum picked up a few things before we hit the road, its been long time since i went on vacation i thought to my self. MUM: Dee aint you curious, why i asked you to come with me? ME: Nodding negatively MUM: Smiling, well we got a contract lastweek to decorate the HEART GARDENS for a bachelors eve. Dee i just want you to figure out certain things for yourself, only this time i hope you’d see things differently. Trust me theres alot to learn. ME: I wonder what she meant though, with confusion written all over my face, i just had to smiled ******HEART GARDEN******* Actually have never been here but have heard people say its called heart garden too, because when viewed from the top it has a love shape. Wooow look at those, i was so shocked to see flowers that looked like a dinner table and a chair. From afar you would mistake it for a heap of flower grass, well i got so curious, i quickly turned to an elderly lady probably in 50’s. ME: how did you guys do that? (actually i was so overwhelmed i totally forgot my manners) LADY: She just smiled. Am sure you like it ME: like??? This is the best have ever seen LADY: Well it takes a whole day to make 1 of this and its really complicated, so you dont go around touching ok?? We have only a few pro’s ME: i’d be good ma’am i said with a smile. But my mum said by the end today am suposed to figure out some things for myself, how is that even possible? LADY: Smiling, are you a lazy kid? ME: hell no uhmm i thought for a while, atleast not all the time LADY: Well kid all my years as a flower decorator the only thing i hold so strong. TREES DONT STUGGLE WITH THE WIND, THEY DANCE ALONG WITH JUST ONE FIRM STANDING POINT Me: with a face like what the hell is she saying, hmmm your a decorator ma’am not a tree LADY: As decorator there are many design, choosing might be really tasking, after making your pick on which to go with. you might want to change it half way or some passerby would tell you this is not the best bla bla…bla. When you make your decison, you stand by it, and then you take responsibility for whatever comes with it. ME: i was busy humming like this makes some sense before i could proccess the next question she was gone, hmmm am sure she pretty busy i thought.

EPISODE 8 Just then i remembered i came in with my mum, so i went in search of her. It took me until noon before i saw her, because i kept getting myself distracted. While walking up to her my eyes found a set of beautiful white roses, being hung by a young man. ME: woooow look at those!!!. Hello mr MAN: hey kid how are you doing?? ME: am cool and you? MAN: Never better kid, hope your having fun ME: Fun? I wondered, that was when it dawned on me, i havent had my lunch, and then i smiled MAN: Am joe by the way ME: Am desire, nice to meet you joe JOE: you look like a high school kid Me: yea am a senior, i actually came in with my mum JOE: Ooooh i see, so why dont you grab some flower and join me up here. I quickly picked the flower and ascended the ladder JOE: Hows school ME: Weird!!!! JOE: Laughing* am sure you’ve been bullied so badly ME: More than you can imagine joe JOE: well i know that feeling ME: Have you been bullied before?? JOE: i came to greenville as a transfer student, after an introduction to the class by my teacher, i walk straight to my sit. And then every single one of them was laughing profusely, i just ignored them with a smile not sure what it meant. And then it was time for brunch, i tried getting up only to discover i was glued to my seat, the next sound i heard was a creaking sound and before i could look upward i was bathed with a white powdered substance that seems like chalk dusts. I almost quited school on my first day, he said with a smile ME: Eeeeewww have only been hit by water balls, bathed with juice, hot sauces and soups but never a chalk dust. JOE: Then i came up with a plan… I came to school that day after sitting in class for a while i knew i’d be followed whenever am leaving the classroom. I walked into the rest room, knowing i’d be walking into a trap on my way out. Just as predicted when i got out i could see some oiled substance on the floor, i knew it was gonna be slippery. All i did was fall on purpose and feigned unconciousness, and trust me they all got so scared. Finally i got up like nothing happened, i could see the relieve on there faces and thats how i became a free man. ME: Wooooow i think am gonna try that too JOE: no way kid thats too old fashioned, there are better ways to deal with this guys. And beside if you do that you lose your chance of dating any girl in school, not even at prom, trust me no girl wants to be with a weak guy. ME: I thought about it for a while and said whats the other way? JOE: MY COACH ALWAYS SAID YOU CAN NEVER SCORE IF YOUR SCARED OF SCORING. Its time to face them head on and am gonna help you. Soon we were done hanging the flowers.

EPISODE 9 We walked to the pool side which had alot of water balls (colourful ballons filled with water) JOE: Now kid your gonna throw those water balls at me, like they did to you to you in class come on! ME: hope you know what your asking for i said with big grin…. This is gonna be fun i thought. I really tried my best to hit him with the balls but it seem like it was gonna be totally impossible because he kept dodging. JOE: Come on show me what you’ve got kid! At this point he began to catch the balls, throwing them back at me. I actually dodged afew by wiskers, not after i was terribly soaked. JOE: come on kid dont see this stuff as a water ball see it as a dog’s poop! ME: eeeeewww when i saw a ball coming i yelled dog’s poop and somehow i dodged. JOE: Thats the spirit kid. I kept dodging the balls for a while then joe ask me to try catching the ball, i caught just afew. Hmmm impressive kid, its time to go. We both went outside the garden, mum was already waiting beside the car. Hello mrs lance joe greeted mum: oh! joe you’ve met my son already JOE: yea and his a great dude, i’d love to hang out with him some other time MUM: That would be great joe am sure he has no friends too. Mum lets go am starving, then i turned to joe. Me: were do you stay JOE: 4 houses away from your school, you can come by anytime, heres my card ME: Alright joe i’d be there tomorrow i said with a smile as i hopped into the car. Joe should be in his late 20’s a cute dude with a nice hair style, his a little bit taller than me tho. Byeee joe!! We drove straight home and after dinner i went to kourtney’s room, she was watching a movie, before i could step in she switched off the tv. ME: Huuuuh why did you turn it off? kourt: because you’re underaged, its for 18yrs and older ME: Since i cant watch that movie then what am i suposed to be doing? kourt: well you can do something useful, ofcourse i wont ask you to do chores cos we both know how disastrous that will end, just go to the rooftop and wait for the falling star, she said with smile. ME: Kourtney theres nothing like a falling star, its just a myth. kourt; laughing* well there is little bro and you are gonna look out for it. Me: can you show it to me and i promise i wont bother you again, atleast not today. kourt: alright! We sat quietly on the rooftop, the night sky was really beautiful i thought as we waited for a while. Kourt: Dee!!! Thats the star!! I looked up imediately and i could see the star falling, thats it dee just make a wish and its gonna take it to God as it disapears. Thats how wishes come true ME: hahahaha kourt and you said your older than me? How on earth do you expect me to believe that kourt: believe what you want dee, my job here is done, i just showed the star and now my room is strickly off limit. Days flew by, in just a week, Joe was like the big bro i never had and he visited often, he seemed to be good at almost everything. Then i decided to spend the whole month in his house, perhaps i could learn other things from him.

EPISODE 10 Finally we were at joe’s beautiful house, i couldnt help but look at the house again in admiration. Theres a basket ball court on the left side of the entrance, red and white roses everywere. Right Inside the living room laid sets of white sofas with red pilows on them, the curtains were a mixture of both red and white, the tiles were all white and sparkling. A very huge, fridge-sized tv stood at the right side, with two portable speakers and a playstation. I took my bag to the guest’s room. And thats when i noticed every gadget he own and the decors had either red or white on them. I walked into the kitchen, where joe was fixing dinner. Soon he was done with the cooking, we ate, talked and played soccer till we fell asleep on the couch. ********morning******** I got up to find out joe was up already, he was busy watering the flowers. Me: goodmorning Joe JOE: A beautiful morning to you dude hope u slept well ME; sure! So uhm what can i do JOE: uhmmmm….. You could just clean the living room with the vaccuum cleaner. ME: i grabbed the vaccum and moved it around with hopes the tiles would sparkle brighter. Although i had no idea how to use it, i wasnt willing to admit that, so i tried harder. Just then joe walked in laughing in suprise, what the hell are you doing on man? Let me guess, you dont know how to use a vaccum cleaner?? He grinned while i just nodded. Ooh! come on!! No need to feel bad man am gonna teach you. We did the cleaning and prepared breakfast, Joe was a really good cook he also promised to teach me how to cook while we ate, after that we showered and then he asked if i would like to go with him to his judo class. A request i agreed to without even blinking. I got dress in one of my perfect outfit, so i thought, we were about heading out, when he took a second look at me. Are you going out with these?? ME; yup, got a problem with that??? JOE: dude your gonna scare those ladies. I began to look at my outfit, there’s absolute nothing weird about it ME: this is my best… Joe!. JOE: dont worry dude, i know just how to fix this. He went right inside and was out with my bags, off he went to dispose it. I just stood there and watching in confusion. Finally he was done, he came back smiling Me: now what? Joe: we get you something good and trending he said with a smile. We went shopping, he got me a new bag, lots of sweat pants, flat cans, two nike canvass, T- shirts and a few designer jackets. Which i had to put on to see how well it fits. Joe: looking at his hair, you wont be goin anywere with those messy hair of urs, we went straight to a saloon, were i got a new hair do (the top part leaning sideways and others downward in curly manner). Finally i was done and then joe gave me a more bigger glasses which fitted so well. I quickly washed up abit and got on a black sweat pants, white nike can and a pink hoodies as instructed by joe with my glasses on. For a while i couldnt recognize my own self in the mirror, i felt so damn happy. Finally i was out to met joe. ME: hey joe JOE: he turned with a huge smile on his face, woooow you’ve changed alot, i could hardly recognize you, you look so damn good he said as we both burst into laughter. We headed out and soon we arrived at his judo class. We got dressed in the usual white training uniform. That day the instructor taught self defence and counter attack moves which wasnt abit easy on me though. Finally we were done, after a quick change I was packing up our stuff, when i heard a voice from behind. DERA: hello am dera sloane ME: woow the voice was amazingly friendly, i looked up to see who she was talking to exactly, i knew its definitely not me. I had a bad history with girls (1st girl i asked out gave me two slaps). Then she never spoke to me again, how embarrassing. DERA: Can i help you with those she said with a really cute smile. ME: i was certain this angel was actually talking to me, she was so pretty guess i got intimidated, noooo…uhmmm… I mean…. Yesss am cool down here, am desire lance by the way, i said as i stood, heading towards the rest room to gain composure. At this rate i knew i was gonna ruin everything with my heart racing so fast, last thing i wanted was to become a temporal stammerer. I walked passed her and then she said nice to me you desire, i stopped, turned and smiled. I got to the restroom, pinched myself a few times, i wasnt just dreaming was I? Joe should know about this i thought as i smiled to myself, i went in search of joe and found him taking to a few ladies who seemed rather happy.

EPISODE 11 I called for joe’s attention i could hardly wait for him to finish, i was really excited, he quickly excused himself. JOE: Hey man am kinda busy ok, you should go find yourself someone or something to keep you busy ok he said and was about leaving ME: Joe you know what??? JOE: What man, say it already he said impatiently, i dont have all have all day ME: lol well let me just say some girl said hi to me, i mean in a really friendly manner and i got all tensed up and shy JOE: you know what man…… just be yourself for now i’d give you some line when am done, he added and quickly rushed back before i could utter another word. Aaaaw come on joe you cant leave me now, i went back to the hall and i saw a red huge punching bag that was hunged loosely. I moved closer and threw a few punches at it, it didnt move a bit, wtf!!! I took of my hoodies and began hitting real hard, finally it was moving abit. I smiled to my self as i kept on hitting, i was having a good time down here. Finally i was tired. I staggered back a little, moved towards the bags to collect Joe’s water. Just then i heard clapping sound, i turned in a quick reflex and saw dera sitting on the other end of the hall. Omg!!! lord plsss am not ready for this yet, i prayed silently. ME: hey! dera how long have you been there? I asked shyly DERA: As long as you can you can imagine dear. ME: jooooooeeeee!! I yelled in my head, was kinda confused, i smiled and said really?? DERA: you look like a newbie from the way you hit. ME: actually today would be my first……wait a minute you mean i wasnt hitting it properly??? I asked curiously DERA: Perhaps a demonstration will do, she walked straight to the bag, hitting it hard, i watched in awe as it moved back and forth. ME: wooow your so strong dera i said smiling DERA: Its easy dear, the energy comes from your feet, she demostrated spreading her legs a little, hitting the bag again. Come on give it a try. ME: I moved close to the bag, with the exact posture she showed me giving it a good hit and it moved. I kept hiting as it moved farther and farther. DERA: Wooow your catching on pretty fast. This time she held the bag and i began hitting. I was feeling so damn good and engrossed in the fun even when my wrist seem to be aching, i was so concentrated on the bag, it was like she got lost in stares or something, when her hands slipped forward, before i could stop the punch it landed so hard on the back of palm, she screamed in pains

EPISODE 12 Ooooo my God!!! Am so sorry, i said rushing out imediately to grab ice cubes. When i got back she was right on the floor were i left her, i gently held her hands and placed the ice cubes on them. I took out my towel, placed some ice on it and wrapped it around her hand. DERA: am sorry ME: no its fine, i should be the one saying that, i wasnt concentrating DERA: No i saw the look on your face am sure i scared you a bit. She said trying to have an eye contact with me. ME: i only pretended to busy with her hand so as not to look her in the eye as i smiled in response. I would never be comfortable around this girl i thought to myself as i gave her palm a little massage ME: Done! how are feeling now DERA: much better thank you she said with a smile. ME: What really happened out there you seemed… Lost. Tell me what were you staring at? DERA: Ooooh!!! that i was…uhmmm.. I was actually staring at you, no no…no not you exactly, i was staring at your fist. She said as she breath down in relief. DERA: so where do you school? ME: GREENVILLE’S HIGH SCHOOL DERA: you’ve got to be kidding me thats my school!!! and am a senior. ME: this time my heartbeat increased knowing what that means, wooow seriously???, i said simply DERA: but why havent i seen you before? ME: Am just a regular school kid, what about you? DERA: Actually am a cheerleader, Always busy with cheerleading practice. ME: ***i was lost in thought, when i heard those words, i mean cheerleaders were the hottest girls in school*** DERA: Are you alright?? ME: hey Joe meet dera and dera thats joe (before i forget dera, fair complexioned with black hairs, i was actually taller than her, to say she was hot would definitely be an insult, she was smoking blazing. Clad in white singlet and black tights that revealed all her curves and a white nike canvass JOE: nice to meet you dera, he said while extending his hand for a shake dera: pleasure’s all mine she said with a smile JOE: wooow you have a lovely smile, what happened to your hand? ME: i quickly looked away, dee’s bomb i guess, i said to myself and smiled DERA: Training casualties JOE: oooh sorry, am sure you’d be fine. I excused myself went straight to the rest room, washed up again and got dress, this time i had my glasses on. I hung my bag, walked to meet them, i saw dera smiling at me, she had this really beautiful smile that would always make me nervous. I had no idea what i should be saying or doing right, i stopped halfway looking away. Finally they stood up and we were ready to leave, we walked outside together and i thought she would go her way once we were outside. I was shocked to find out she’d have to walk in thesame direction with us for a while. JOE: dont be to be too suprised bro dera stays in greenville too. Dera how about you grab a cup of coffee at my place before heading home what do you say? DERA: I would love too, but i dont think he’d be comfortable with that she said reffering to me, i’d come around some other time she said with a smile. ME: all i did was smile mildly but then deep down i was glad she declined. Finally we were home, after a little rest, we prepared lunch Joe: dee i bet you’ve never spoken to someone as pretty as dera before he said laughing. Dera: i guess so, she’s a goddess Joe: i see you were all tensed up, well i’d give a C atleast you didnt make a fool out of yourself ME: Really i didnt? You saw her hand right? That was me you know. EPISODE 14 JOE: Driving is simple, just keep your eyes on the road and move this machine like its a part of your body, he said while moving the car slowly. Dont ever freak out while driving, shes yours to control he showed me the gears, taught me how to apply brakes and how to step on the accelerator. JOE: now thats all you need to know he said as he stepped out for me to take over the wheel ME: i took a deep breathe nervously JOE: dont worry am right here man, nothing can go wrong he assured. I started the engine, stepped on the gear selector, using gear one i was moving the car slowly, just as joe said it was really easy, gradually it gained acceleration. He taught me how to reverse the car and how to pack it properly, then we drove home. We got home and I quickly prepared dinner. JOE: wooow this is tasty he said pointing at the chicken sauce, you are really a fast learner you know ME: smiling thats because you are a good teacher. ME: My mouth flew open, styles was by far the biggest cloth designing company in greenville, i heard they had designers from all over the world. Seriously? JOE: smiling, well not only that, he owns the biggest golf estate in alabama, new jersey and olando. My mum is a lawyer ME: so what are you doing here in greenville i asked kinda confused JOE: greenville is my hometown, being the only kid i always felt lonely seeing movies with kids and there siblings having fun, i really wished i had just one kid bro or sis that i could look out for. Gradually the loneliness i felt right on the inside were heightened, while growing up i learnt alot, singing was one of them, gradually i watched myself develop into this awesome dude in college who had lots of side-chicks, but then there was this hole right here in my heart, it didnt matter how many ladies i had at my disposal, it just didnt changed the way i felt inside, as time passed i felt it grow bigger and bigger and i got desperate in my search of happiness, it was quite an adventure but then i met you. You loved white roses just like me, i could tell by the smile you had on. After hanging out with you for a while i felt a kinda connection, and then you moved in with me, i felt really happy in a way i just couldnt explain, from that day i saw you like a brother. And dee dont ever think am helping out just because you’re lacking in so many ways and i just wanna help, I want you to know am doing just what any big bro would do for their kiddo. While i taught you, i wasnt teaching that naughty kid i met at the garden, i was doing it for the kid bro i never had. ME: Joe i never saw you as a friend after moving in with you, i saw you as the big bro i just found, i said so with a big grin JOE: Smiling come here kid, he said grabbing my head, rubbing his palm on my hair. We ate smiling. Before going to bed i called my mum and told her i was having a good time. We talked for a while and then i hung up the call. I fell on my bed and slept.

EPISODE 15 Days flew by, joe did his best teaching me almost everything he knew, fighting driving, cooking, driving, cleaning and all. He even taught me how to play guitar at night. Have got just 5days left, by sunday i will be on my way home, i really wanted to stay abit longer, but then i had to be in school. I finished cleaning the house this morning, prepared coffee and toasted bread for breakfast, went straight to joe’s room and he was fast asleep ME: joe!!!! breakfast is ready. JOE: alright man….i’d be there he said dragging himself out of bed ME: And Joe i’d be leaving by sunday Joe: oh thats true, you’d be going out with me after breakfast ME: To where? JOE: you’d find out when you get there, just eat up. We finished eating and soon we were all dressed, then he tossed his keys to me, your driving man make it fun ok? He said with a smile. I drove the car out of the garage and he hopped in as we hit the road, while i drove he gave me directions, soon we were in front of a huge glassy sky scrapper, with styles boldly written on top of it ME: woooow this place is a lot bigger than i imagined JOE: Come on lets go in he said as we walked in, there were samples of clothes everywhere, we got into the elevator which stopped at the 6th floor. Just when the door moved open, my mouth flew open in total amazement, there were so many beautiful collections of all kind of men wear’s and accessories suits, tux, jacket, sweat pants, trousers, shoes, jeans, T-shirts, cans etc JOE: come on man dont just stand there and stare, all you have to do is take a walk and pick whatever you want, as much as you can carry he said with a smile. ME: Smiling as i walked closer, i picked some colourful suit, and suit jacket with a few pair of shoes, T-shirts and shirts JOE: hmmmm great choice kid, now your gonna be marked by joe he said so with a big grin, just then he snapped his hands and two ladies walked in with a pair of sparkling white suit and white a high school jacket, with JOE CARLOS written boldly on it ME: woooow joe you’re the coolest, i said giving him a thumb up JOE: Get them all wrapped up and put them in the car’s trunk he ordered while we walked around for a while before heading out for judo class, i never saw Dera because she comes only on weekend, we trained hard as usual, before going home. We ate, had a little rest before we began pulling the strings of the guitar, joe didnt seem a bit tired at all. We did our regular daily routines judo, gym and practice, finally it was saturday evening we both sat on the couch after dinner. JOE: you’re really damn smart you know, In just a month, you’ve learnt almost everything i knew how to do. But then I have a final important lesson for you and thats why am gonna say this to you. Being able to cook, clean, drive, and be a don juan aint what makes you a better man, it only increases your value and worth. You know what makes you better man? ME: nope JOE: its you being able to stay happy, planning for the future, in the circle of people who love you most, having a bigger picture of more BEAUTIFUL THINGS ahead, and your willingness to love and be loved. You might not be perfect, but you’d be the closest thing to perfection. That way you’d never let anyone give you less than you deserve because you know for sure you deserve the best. Its time to make us all proud dee. ME: I smiled with teary eyes as hugged him, i love you joe.

EPISODE 16 Finally its sunday, i was already dressed and packed. Joe saw me off, watched me board a cab and left after saying goodbye. Soon i was in front of our house, i quickly carried my bags inside, knowing they’d all be in church. When i got to my room it was cleaner than i left it, i knew my mum cleaned it, (its not like am dirty i just happen to have this problem called selective activity lol) alright i’d admit i hardly cleaned my room. I dropped my bag, walked straight to my locker, took out my old diary, went outside with it. Poured petrol on it and set it ablaze, i stood there and watched it burn, it felt like i was burning all bad memories i had. Am done being this person i said while pointing at the burning book, this time am not gonna be inviscible, am gonna be the best!!! Am gonna live life like am limitless and am never gonna settle for second best, i said out loudly and smiled, by now all thats left of my diary was ashes. I gathered them up and disposed them properly, head back into my room, moved to thesame locker, picked a new diary. I flipped open the first page and wrote BEAUTIFUL THINGS in very large and bold on it with a big grin. DEAR DIARY, Have always thought miracles happens to only those who asked for it and that all angels had wings and lived in heaven. Until i met joe, he was the miracle i never prayed for and the angel that lives on earth. Looking back i would never believe this day will come when all my misery would begin to fade away and i’d see a better and brighter day. Am glad today is that day. I kept my diary back in my locker and slept of. After a few hours of sleep i got up walked downstair, to see my mum watching her fav soap. Me; mum!! Mum: dee!! Oh look at my baby Me: smiling. Mum: and why are you still standing, come on! Give momma a hug. She said so spreading her hands for a hug, i rushed foward and hugged her Mum: wooow you’ve change so much dee, your now looking more masculine, your hair style and cloths are wonderful she complemented. We chatted for a while, after which i went upstairs to read my books. I read until i fell asleep. It was indeed a wonderful night i got up, went downstairs, cleaned the sitting room, kitchen and the entire house. I went back up to wash up. I got dressed in a black sweatpants black t-shirts and a red designer jacket, had my glasses on i went downstair and saw mum staring at the house in awe Me; mum whats wrong? Mum: desire….did..you??? Me: yes mum i said while smiling, then i went straight to the kitchen and toasted four slices of bread and then made coffee, i ate as quick as possible, gave mum a peck and was off to school

EPISODE 17 While i was younger have always wanted to be an actor, art was my life, for a while i lost sight of that dream, but this time am going back on track I arrived at the entrance of greenville, show time!! I said to myself. Crossed my bag, tucked my hands in my pocket, as i walked in, the school was rowdy this morning. To say i was feeling good was an understatement. I felt like today was my first day in school or maybe as a transfer student, lol kinda strange but true. I walked majestically in to the school, atleast not without a few admirers though. Desire!!! Desire!!! Desire!!! A feminine voice called out while i turn around slowly, when my gaze found dera running towards me in her ever pretty smile, i could see the black flashy .jeep which dropped her off at school driving away. She was clad in there usual chearleading uniform, a white top with a huge left sleeve and a small right sleeve, on a white short pouring skirts with GO CHEERLEADERS, written boldly on it. From the way she ran i was expecting a hug when she stopped just in front of me and we head to class ME: smiling heeey whatsup Dera: am cool, i like your cologne, its smells good Me: (oooh i forgot joe gave that to me and said ladies would never forget the way you smell lol) thanks dera! Dera: so you’re back to school right???? Me: yes dear and i wasnt expecting to see you this quick, i was kinda prepared for a little search tour you know. Dera: lol whats that supose to mean dee? Me: i thought as a hot cheerleader your gonna be busy signing auto graphs from one wing of the school to another, taking photo’s with admirers i said smiling Dera: lol auto graphs!!! Yea right, you said hot? Like you think am hot huuh she asked looking into my eyes. Me: smoking hot!!!! Baby,were the words that flew out of my mouth, i didnt say that! I quickly defended, my mouth did! Either way i think your boyfriend is the luckiest Dera: hahaha yes you did and am single…..she stressed that part. Me: (like joe always said when you have the chance hit it with all you’ve got it might be your only chance) woow i guess that makes both of us, see you at lunch i said smiling as i winked at her Dera: alright byeee she said smiling. Walked into her class just oposite mine on the right, i watched her enter gorgeously, just then i stepped into my class to meet an almost filled and noisy class. Just then a sudden silence fell on everyone as they stared at me, some confused looks while others were dead shocked (i’d give anything to see the looks on there faces over and over again). I could make out words like i think he’s a new student, are you guys kidding me that desire some dude yelled, while i walked like a celebrity on red a carpet show to my sit, at the back. What in the name of holy happend to this dude a black guy called lucas or luk-ass by his friends let out, and other remarks. I kinda got tired of listening so i took out my headset blocking my ears. EPISODE 18 Soon the class was filled up and then Mrs queen walked in, as silence feel everywhere, everyone quickly got ready for the class. I quickly took off my headset, reach for my books. CLAUSES she wrote boldly on the white board as she went ahead with her class which lasted for 1 and half hour. For the first time mrs queen taught me and it made sense to me, i listened with rapt attention (before now her teaching was more like a well arranged speech thats makes no sense in my head). Soon the class was over, she left after asking me to meet her in her office immediately. What does this witch want with me pheew i said to myself, while i packed my books arranging them in my bag, i stood up to go out, when chris blocked my path. Chris: look who came back to school he said amidst laughter, long time no see kiddo Me: chris could you please leave the way mrs queen is waiting. Chris: or you’d do what! mummy’s boy! Oooh i know just exactly what you could do, you’re gonna cry like a baby and beg me to let you go, he said so making funny faces as everyone laughed Me: i smiled abit walking pass him just then he held my hands, i’d be right here waiting for you he said. I keep mute and walked away, heading straight to mrs Queen’s office. Mrs queen: you can have a seat. Me: thank you ma’am. Mrs queen: so desire lance tell me why havent you been in school for weeks now, from what your mum told us you were discharge a week after your admission, she said giving me those scary look of hers. Those looks cant scare me anymore i thought. Me: Ma’am actually i was discharged and reffered to another hospital, after a week at home i was admitted again for a month, i got discharged yesterday, lol ya i lied and pretended to be sad, i saw the sorry looks in her eyes, i hope they were genuine i thought. Mrs queen: so what really caused your sickness Me: it wasnt a sickness per say, it was more emotional than physical, after recieving your generosity, the doctor said i was emotionally stressed out. Mrs queen: generosity?? She said looking amused Me: yes ma’am i should have said punishment but my doctor said i should always be positive about everything, i mean no offense ma’am. Mrs queen: impressive she said with a smile. Me: thank you ma’am, hmmm so witches smile too i said to myself and chuckled. Mrs queen: ok you can go but be sure to see me before going home. Me: alright ma’am, with this i left her office ********DERA********** I just couldnt concentrate in class i kept staring at my wrist watch, really couldnt wait to have lunch with him, time never seemed to be enough when am hanging out him hmmm she smiled to herself just then Mr Roberts caught her. Mr roberts: Dera sloane could plss tell the class what my last statement was? Dera: no idea. Mr robert: i would appreciate it better if you could stop going A-crowd(having funny immaginations) in my class. Just when mr robert left the class, her friends quickly moved to her sit. Clara: hey girl what were you thinking? She asked curiously, just then lara jumped in. Lara: clara am sure its a guy, i saw the smile on her face and am sure mr robert saw it too. She said smiling Dera: smiling. Both girls screamed aaaaaaarrrghhhhhhhh!!!!, so who’s he? Where’s he from? Where does he school? Is he cute? Is he popular? Dera: hey easy girls! we’re just friends, am gonna give you guys the whole gist later ok.

EPISODE 19. I got out of her office, head back to my class, i was just at the entrance, when someone threw a water ball at me, i dodged effortlessly, walked down to my sit. Immediately chris got up, throwing another waterball at me, i dodged and it landed on Eric spilling water on him, he kept on throwing but missed miserably. While i smiled. Me: alright chris playing water ball games with you was fun but i think you should stop now cos you’ve ruined someone’s clothes, i said staring at eric. Chris: with an angry look he threw the last one at me yelling go to hell!!! I caught the ball, aimed his face with it and poooof the water spilled all over his face and every one was shocked. Me: and thats what happens when you dont listen to my advice, i said with the naughtiest smirk ever. No one said a word afterwards, we had 2more classes and soon it was lunch time, when i remembered i had a lunch date with dera i just couldnt stop smiling. While i got myself ready to go for lunch i felt a tap on my shoulder, i hesitated for a while, finally i turned to see dera smiling wonderfully. Me: woooow you really scared me, you know i have lots of good friends (enemy) in here i said smiling. Dera: hmm so aint you going for lunch. Me: why not, i wont miss today’s lunch for anything i said with a smile as she grabbed my arm and we walk out. While Everyone watched in awe, chris just stared with a reddish face but who cares if if dies of heart burn. Me: woooow dera slow down, I wanna enjoy this moment. Dera: enjoy what moment? Me: oooh come on am walking with a beauty queen and you want this moment to just slip by quickly?? No way. Make it classy i said with a smile, as she tightened her grip on my arm and smiled back. We walked slowly like high school king and queen, it seemed like it invited so many aundience but who cares, i was busy taking in the good fragance her body emitted. Finally we arrived at the cafe, i opened the door and watch her enter while i followed imediately. We bought snacks and ice cream and moved to an empty sit. Me: have always walked down here for lunch but today’s walk was the best. Dera: hmmm i can see that she said with a big grin. Me: you really walked like a princess you know, for a while i thought i flew to heaven and back. Dera: you’re not serious she said chuckling. We ate and chatted while i told how wonderful she was with every chance i got. And we laughed loudly once in a while not minding on lookers.

EPISODE 20 Have been to the cafeteria everyday since high school but today’s lunch was really special, soon we were done with our lunch. I stood up, moved to where she sat and then stretched out my arm, she grabbed it standing slowly, i really cant fathom the kind of spell she has on me, her hair, eyes, fragrance and even her girlish mannerism imitating that of a genovian queen, has a way of driving me crazy in a wonderful way though. Then we walk to our class like we had a royal entourage trailing behind. Me: your the best dera, i said smiling. Dera: oooh come on!! you already said that over 10times today she said with a chuckle. Me: oooh i have?? Maybe am just so into you i said smiling. By now we were just afew steps away from our class rooms. Dera: dee close your eyes she said which i did without any arguement, she gave me a peck and walked right into her class. For a moment i thought i saw love floating over my head, i was like she just……..kiss me, i was so lost in another world, i didnt even realised she wasn’t there anymore. I was gonna say something, when my eyes flew open. Me: dera…… Oops she’s gone, i walked into the class feeling like i was on top of the word, i felt like i was invincible. I was back from my sweetest immagination when I took a precise look at my desk and just couldnt find my bag, hahaha someone is trying to mess with me.
