*continues*

the burial ceremony was finally fixed to hold on 1st of june 2012 after much consultations with family members friends and inlaws and my mum gave in to the shifting of date, cos as i said earlier we had planned on holding the burial on may......

burial ceremony in igbo land is extremely expensive and stressful that no matter how much you spend it still looks as if you had done nothing, for more demands and problems will continue coming up, hmmmm and seriously in this kind of situation your wish would always be to have more grown up brothers, sisters or close relatives who will ever be willing and ready to help, but then expecting some thing or help from your cousins especially from your paternal side {dad's step brothers} is always a futile hope for none of them will help you, but instead would demand one thing or another from you........

The subsequent weeks leading to the burial was spent in buying, preparation and meeting of my father's associates for he really had a whole lot of them, and was even making more till the time of his death, for his death was really unexpected, even though we suspected that such a thing might happen to him sooner or later, because he was diabetic and almost 70{he had difficulty in having children on time} yet he does not stay in a place for long, because of the nature of his business and so when he finally got struck with 'stroke', there was really nothing that could be done to save him and so he died the following morning after the attack,
and
besides he wasn't even at home when it happened to him, for he had travelled to abuja for a conference,

however some family members still believed that there was an evil force{power} behind his demise but i choosed not to believe them for a person only dies when his time is ripe..............

To be continued.......

That is one thing I don't like about our igbo people. Their insensitivity during such occasions is shocking especially when there is some wealth involved.

Igbo wil always be igbo, either in burial, wedding, any ceremony, especially burial, they will always look 4 a way 2 have the maximum profit. If u had told us something else. I would have said the clan is not 4rm igbo land. May God continue 2 give u d strength 2 be a father 2 ur family.
