Diary of an imostar season2 tuesday 30/10/2012

*continues*

i went to my room that early
morning deep in thought as i
wondered what adaora might
have told chinwe that made
her so upset, but then no idea was
forthcoming except that i knew
that adaora might have played
dirty or spoiled chinwes mind
with her cooked up story, “well i
will still get to know later” i said
to myself before drifting into an
early morning sleep, and i slept
till i was woken around
8am by my immediate younger
sister, when she came to inform
me of breakfast, ‘hmmmm’
and thats my way of life at home,
i had really been so spoiled and
lazy that i hardly do any serious
work or chores at home, but
never misses food……


I went to the dinning room that
morning, after washing my face
and mouth and i was really
surprised to see my mum already
seated and flanked both sides by
adaora and my immediate
younger sister, while chinwe sat
beside my sister{my other sisters
had gone to school}, my mum
wasn’t dressed for work that
morning and so i concluded that
she wouldn’t be going out that
morning…..
Chinwe looked
uneasy as i smiled and greeted
my mum and i took the chair on
the extreme end of the table
facing my mum{normally the
chair reserved for my dad} who gave me a pointed look
before smiling polietly………


We ate our bread in silence while
i dipped mine in my tea cos my
table manners didn’t cover that
area{though in rare cases when
we do have distinguished guests
i do eat normally} and we ate
happily even though chinwe still
appeared uneasy as i equally
noticed that they all threw her
glances at every given time……..


“hope you are enjoying your stay
here?” my mum asked chinwe
who smiled, “yes ma” she
replied, “i know you are familiar
with everyone here, so there is
no need for introductions” my
mum said while chinwe nodded
in agreement, “i have been
hearing alot about you, and i’m
really glad in finally meeting you,
and you are also pretty with a
nice colour” my mum
complemented her and we all
smiled, even adaora smiled as
well as she ate, “has it been long
you both started your affair?” my
mum asked chinwe who nodded
hesistantly in affirmitive, “so i
guess you know much about
adaora cos she told me you both
have met in owerri before?” my
mum asked her and she forced a
smile, “mum i have seen her
before but i only got to know
much about her yesterday” she
replied my mum while i looked
on in silence, “so my son didn’t
tell you anything about adaora
when you both were together?”
she asked her further, “no ma”
chinwe replied while adaora
smiled and my heart pounded as
i froze and looked at my mum
silently begging her to stop, “well
since you are finally here, you are
now one of us and we don’t
keep any secrets here, so
welcome dear and please forgive
my questions” she said to
chinwe and stood up
immediately to leave, cos she was
already done with her breakfast
while chinwe stood up as well,
“excuse me mum, i want to
speak with you in private” she
said to my mum, who smiled in
surprise and lead her to her
room, while i trembled and my
sister looked on in confusion,
while adaora smiled in
satisfaction………


“What the hell did you tell that
girl?”…… I heard myself scream at
adaora, who just looked at me
and smiled the more, while my
sister looked on without a
word………
and
dearest friends i was really in for a very big-big surprise.........
