it really was not easy in our home that week as people trooped in to offer their condolence, while i appeared calm and did my obligations well, for it really wasn't easy to be the only male child in such a situation,......
"is this boy really his only male child" was the question in most people's lips as they paid their condolence, especially friends who were not too close with our family, and they ended up shaking their heads more in sympathy, when they learn't that i was the only son, "but then what they failed to understand, was that sometimes a single son can really do much more than what a hundred sons could do," and i promised and swore to myself that i would live by my dad's legacy which he had left behind......

Frank stayed a week at home with me before returning back to ogun state, where he was serving while adaora and my immediate younger sister returned that same day, that frank travelled back.......

Adaora and her family were really very supportive during those moments, that adaora virtually left her nysc program and stayed with us offering all assistance she could, "don't worry dear, i will always be there for you" she had assured me in my room, that very night she returned with my sister and she kissed me as she caressed my face, "don't think about anything ok, just allow me to do the thinking," she also added and i looked at her and smiled, "do you want to ease out your pains" she also asked me later, as we held each other in silence and i shook my head, "no thanks dear" i replied her, for love-making wasn't really my problem that period cos i really had alot to think about, even though we had alot of people running around{ errands} for us while we made the decisions......

Adaoras role during that period was truly like that of a young wife, and even her mum was really happy to see us both planning and doing things together, and truthfully she really helped alot, even financially and i couldn't help but admire the courage in which she did her thing......

Chinwe equally visited us two weeks after of my dad's death, when we were still in enugu and she really was touched as she spoke with me at home that fateful evening, for she spent only a night with us, before going back to owerri,
"you stood by me during my own time and so shall i stand by your side during this trying period" she had said to me as tears gushed out of her eyes and i swallowed hard as it occurred to me that she still might seriously be in love with me............

To be continued......

Pls dearest friends, for this week and the next, my update might only be twice a day, plssss in order for me to clear the work load which i havn't attended to for long..... Plsss it's just only for two weeks.....plssss
