I almost end my life if not my neighbor and ex friend who came to check on me. My neighbor told me no matter the condition suicide should not be an option. I sat down calculated everything I spent on the girl and her two brothers, honestly this world is full of wickedness. During my courtship with the girl, I took my time explained my background to her. Even her mom knows about it. The name bastard really touched my heart. The following week I went to the man who I know as my father to check on him.
I was surprised when I met a man I resembled there. The man just broke down in tears begging me to forgive him. I was lost in thought trying to figure out what the man mean. The man held me and started explaining how he met my mummy, how he was the one who disvirgin my mummy, how he bribed my mummy to force the pregnancy on another man and many things the man said that made me dumbfounded.
I couldn’t control my tears throughout that day. When u see me and the man nothing differentiate us. We really resemble. After everything the man took me to his house. The 3 children the man had are females. 2 are already married. After some months the man took me to Lagos to introduce me to his staff. I don’t know this man is wealthy. When u see him in the village u hardly know.
I was attached with a Personal assistance (PA) to put me through. Though I learned how to read and write in the prison. With time I grabbed everything. After 3 years my daddy handed the company to me. Is like a dream to me. I never knew my life can change, I never knew I can become someone in life.
I never knew an illiterate like me can handle this. One day I met my ex girlfriend that called me a bastard and illiterate at the reception, she actually came to submit her C.v. I pretend like I didn’t see her and enter my office. On the day of her interview, she was surprised to see me. She broke down in tears begging me to forgive him that she seriously need a job to take care of her sick mother.
I just have to forgive her and gave her the job. She tried all means for me to marry but I turned her down. By God grace next week Friday is my wedding. Am getting married to my ex friend. The lady who stood by me when my ex left me. End of the story.
