ACTION STARTS

Before I joined those running up and down in the yard, my plan was to try to see the face of the person I suspected to be my husband.
But Pastor called me aside and said,
Don't just go through this process. Write everything down and never skip a step.
I see you are being stubborn but you will be successful. No one should just hear your story.
They must not just listen to you or read your story.
Ensure that everyone who reads your story partake in the marital discipleship class.
Sister Joy, you will take this class to over five million people, so don't miss any point.
I began to laugh, me!!! who is coming for the first time. Me? who just came to feed my eyes because the house is boring....
My friends are not up to ten, how can I talk to five million people? I was laughing in Spanish. I told Pastor I'm sorry, I don't know why I laughed but sir you are funny.
"I'm serious, sister Joy, please consider it ma", Pastor said with all seriousness.
I crossed my heart playfully but I said with all seriousness. "I will obey sir".
I gave a cute police salute.... I can't help it, Pastor can be funny.



I looked up again and discovered that the man wearing the customized tee shirt I made specifically for my husband....
Was nowhere to be found, I turned and discover that he is behind me.
Our eyes locked.

He was startled too.
You!!!! He said.
I just managed to say.....Impossible!!!!

Part 16
LECTURE BEGINS

Joy!!! He called out.
Peter!!! I manage to croak; this is not a joyful reunion. Not a joyful one at all.
You see, this man is a major cause of the quarrels in my home, he suddenly popped out of nowhere about five years ago. Because he had the same build as my husband, they called themselves twins from another mother.
He moved into our neighborhood and he became friends with my husband.
He influenced him very negatively. He introduced my husband to clubs; he introduced my husband to girls and to many bad characters.
Anytime his call comes into my husband’s phone, it is a call of bad news to me.
He supports every wrong doing of my husband and numerous times he had come to pick my husband at home for some dirty deals.
Just the sight of him reminds me of all the wrong he has done in my family and yet here he is in Pastor's house jogging, exercising and being part of the marital discipleship class.
This looks to me like all shades of wrong I must tell Pastor about this....
Oh sister Joy, you have met brother Peter. Pastor said.
Yes sir, I have met him before now, he is one of the reasons why my marriage is not working and I don't understand what he's doing in your house here. He is not a saint sir. I replied.
Oh yes, I know, I know, I have heard the stories, he had told me so much about how your husband influenced him....
Ahhh liar, it is not my husband that influenced him, he influenced my husband. I retorted.
Sister Joy, honestly, I apologize, I am sorry for every issue I might have caused in your family. I am also having serious issues in my marriage and it was a friend that introduced me to Pastor Emma.
I am willing to do anything that I'm told to do to help our marriages because my marriage is on the verge of breaking up.
As we speak now my wife had served me a divorce letter and suddenly it dawned on me that I don't want to be like my father who married seven different women.
I am so sorry for whatever I might have caused in your family, please forgive me.
He looked so gentle and his apology looked so sincere. It doesn't look like that wicked man I know. I was disarmed. All the words I wanted to say dried off in my throat.
Shall we now continue with the exercises for today? Pastor said.
So, we continued with the exercises. I was asked to jog around the yard.
While Pastor kept shouting to us "a balanced mind is equal to a balanced body, a fit body is equal to a fit mind, fitness keeps you focused. If there are issues that seems too difficult to resolve, exercises will wake up your mind and soul and reason".

After about thirty minutes of jogging and exercising, Pastor brought out chairs for us to sit in his yard.
He introduced us to the lecturer for the first lesson.
Pastor must be joking, it can't be this beggar, the one by the roundabout.
The popular beggar, the one that I have given food to a couple of times...
Wow! I am about to be taught about marriage by the popular beggar in our location.
He even has a wife.....
I laugh in Spanish.....
If it's not that I married a monster, will I be sitting here to be taught by a beggar.....
To make matters worse, the guy recognized me and was waving at me....
