#PAYING_TITHES_IN_DEBTH
EPISODE 1
Pastor: ‘Open your book to Malachi 3:10’ after a few seconds he said ‘are you there’.
Congregation: Yes Pastor.
Pastor: ‘it says and I quote: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now here with, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it ” Amen!
Congregation: Amen.
Pastor: ‘Please open your book to Luke 6:38’ and after another few minutes he said ‘are you there?
Congregation: Yessssss.
Pastor: If you are there, say I am there.
Congregation: I am there.
Pastor: ‘now let’s read together’
and together they read out loud
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Somebody say Amen.
Congregation: Amen.
Pastor: God blesses those who pay tithe, the favor of God is with them. I have been a pastor for more than 15 years and in that 15 years, I have diligently given out what will cost me and pay my tithe as when due, I am a testifier of the goodness of God in my life and the life of my family. If you listen to what people on gossip blog and social media are carrying, you will miss the blessing of God in your life. Somebody say “I will never miss the blessing of God in my life”.
Congregation: I will never miss the blessing of God in my life.
Pastor: and in other not to miss the blessing in your life, you must give and pay your tithe like he has asked us to. To some of you, 10% of your income is hard for you to give to God, What if God ask us to pay for the air we breathe per sec, do you know how much it will cost? Just 10% to God and yet whenever the topic of tithing is been talked about you hiss and frown your face, May God forgive you.
Congregation: Amen.
Pastor: Pay your tithes and you will testify to the goodness of God. Somebody say I will testify to the goodness of God.
Congregation: I will testify to the goodness of God.
Pastor: if you read Mathew 23:23 Jesus said “Ye pay tithe…: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone” the ought there means that tithing is an obligation which you must fulfill. To pay tithe is something every Christian ought to do. Somebody say I will pay my tithe from now on.
Congregation: I will pay my tithe from now on.
Pastor: preached for 45 minutes and at the end of the preaching he said ‘there is an ongoing project which we as a church has to complete and that is completion of our church building. We are still accepting donations. If you look at the screen our account details is written there. Also for those of you that want to give something to the lord, the baskets which the ushers is passing round is where you should place whatever you have. No amount is too small and as you do so, you shall be blessed.
Congregation: Amen.
Pastor: Your pockets will never run dry.
Congregation: Amen.
Pastor: The hands that giveth shall receiveth in double folds.
Congregation: Amen.
After service that day, David and his wife went home for they attended the service and were grateful to be refreshed.
David: Wow! Today’s service was awesome, The lord is good.
Mercy: All the time. Today was special; it was as if God was speaking directly to me, Sweetheart, I am blessed and touched today ooo.
David: Me too. I find today’s word refreshing, we will never backslide when it comes to doing the work and things of God again by his grace.
