Chapter 7

"Mommy, I'm hungry" He repeated after I didn't say anything. "Uh.." I didn't know what to say. There was no food. Nor was there money to buy some. I used all my money plus the one I borrowed from Gina to pay Alex's fees. ~Yes! Gina. She can feed only Alex. For me, I can manage. I thought to myself. I gave Nelson a glare before I took Alex to Gina's house. "Ah Cynthia, why are you even still with this man. He's an idiot. Can't you see?" Gina quickly said as I ~explained everything to her.

"Please don't say things like that. It's because he has lost his job. When he had a job, he ~really made us comfortable. So now that he has lost his job, he really needs my support" I was clearly unhappy when Gina said those things about Nelson. He's undoubtedly annoying but he's still my husband. "Cynthia, open your eyes and look at what is right in front of you. The man obviously lazy. How else did he lose his job in the first place" she said with a ~mocking face and shrugged. "Okay oo.

Continue to let him take you for a fool... Anyway, I have enough food for all of us so don't worry" I was truly than kful. Else we would've starved that evening. On our way back home, I told Alex about his father and that he wanted to see him. He was so excited and seemed he was already aware the man was alive. " ~I can't wait to see him again ?? mom. It's been soooo long" I chuckled and shook my head as he gleefully talked about his father. "And you can spend all ~the time you want with him, dear". We got home and met Nelson sleeping on the couch while the TV and fan was on. How can this ~man be so careless? He's just going to make the light bill difficult for us to pay. I switched the TV and fan off.

And left him there. ~When he starts feeling hot, he'll come to the room. I said in my head.I wasn't ready for another pointless argument like last time because according to him, I woke him up harshly. The next day was a Saturday so that meant Alex wasn't going to school that day. Samuel gave me a call and said he'd like to take Alex out since it was a weekend. I *agreed but then I had to ask permission from Nelson but he wasn't sleeping on the bed.

I went to the living room thinking he never _came to our room when I d* idn't wake him up but he wasn't there either. But how could he leave without saying anything? I wonde_ red. ~That means I'd have to explain to him once he gets back. I got Alex ready for his outing and asked him to wait for his dad in the living room. He was extremely happy. "What time will you bring him back?" I asked once Samuel came to pick him up. "Oh, don't worry. I'll bring him back before you start to worry " He replied. Well I doubted *that I'd get worried. I really trusted Samuel to take good care of his son. I knew how much he adored him. I had to take the opportunity to rest since I was alone. Samuel was right. I didn't worry ~for once th* e whole time Alex was with him.

And before I even thought about them, he had brought him. I walked with him to his car and we said our goodbyes. Later in the evening, around 7, I heard Nelson screaming like a mad man. "Stupid slut. Ungrateful b*tch. Where are you!!" I got worried and quickly rushed to the living room wondering what was wrong with him. "Nelson, what is going on?" I asked waiting for a reply. But a thunderous slap is what I had instead.
