Shadow of love episode 15

The next day was a Saturday. After Claire and I had cleaned up the house, we went down to wash our cars. We were doing our business amidst laughter and gossips when these two cute neighbours of mine decided to come down and join us.

"Morning!" Claire and myself greeted.

They responded and sat their behinds down on the pavement which was inbuilt in the garage.

Leonard: We heard your beautiful chattering so we decided to come and join you girls.

He said with a smile while William nodded.

Claire: That's very nice of you two.

Leonard: We're nice guys, naturally.

Me: You can't be the judge of that y'know.

William: So says a neighbour who has stayed here for months without knowing the people who lives next door.

Claire and Leonard laughed while I rolled my eyes.

Claire: But seriously, you guys don't have to blame the girl. She's always like that.

Me: Are you supporting them now? We should be a team you silly toddler.

She spanked my behind and we all laughed. The conversation flowed so freely and we ended up inviting them for breakfast which will be ready in an hour. I'll use William's words.

"advantages of having a girl in the compound. I can't wait to eat better home made food."

We joked and dispersed to our apartments and immediately, Claire and I got to work. While I made spaghetti with some frozen chicken parts, Claire made boiled yam and egg sauce. It was all her suggestions because she wanted to impress Leonard who she was already having the hots for. I had laughed it off, reminding her of the so called boyfriend she said she had.

We took our baths and were making the table when the knock came. Claire had rushed to get the door only to call my name immediately. It was Flord.

Me: Okay now. What do you want here?

Flord: Are you still angry with me?

Me: State your business and get out of my house.

Claire: Hey babe. Easy. Not my business though but you're being harsh.

Me: Claire, this is Flord, the guy who was screwing Franca despite being the best friend of her boyfriend.

Claire: Oh!

Me: Exactly.

Claire: I'll excuse you two then.

As soon as she left, Flord held my hands.

Flord: Look, I'm sorry about the impression you have about me. I've always liked you but Franca is.....

Me: Save your explanations. The likes of you are never to be trusted. If you've got nothing else to say, get out. I'm expecting some people.

Flord: I....I'm sorry. I just wanted to apologise and plead with you to reconsider taking Franca in. She's being putting up with Charles since you two had issues and now, their own relationship is at the verge of splitting. You...

Me: It can split for all I care. You want her back here so you can keep getting the privilege of bleeping her in my house, all the while, deceiving Charles into thinking that he has a faithful girlfriend. It should split for all I care. Now, you may leave.

Flord: Pamela....

Me: Get out. I....

I was interrupted by a knock and I knew my guests have finally arrived.

Me: I'll open this door now. Make sure you leave.

I opened the door and met with two cute faces. I smiled and ushered them in. They stopped immediately they saw Flord and next thing, they were shaking hands and hailing each other with some funny nicknames.
