the excursion episode 2

THE EXCURSION. Part 2 (Non fiction)

Every where was silent and the only thing we could hear was the sound of our heartbeats.

Fear engulfed the atmosphere as we were so curious to hear what was going on.

One of the guys in the bus was about leaving the bus to meet them outside but the driver gesticulated with his hand in a scary way.

He soliloquized.

" sit down! Sit down!!"

As if we are hiding from one Godzilla or Anaconda.

My heart started racing fast.

My eyes were widely opened and I was already having strange taste in my mouth.

We were like an island in the middle of the red sea, no where to go.

I focused on the social committee and the resort's official and read their expressions, none was favourable.

The social director placed his hand on his head. That was a sign of regret.

"So this is it uhn? Na so life dey end abi" I cried.

We have not even know what they are talking about but we knew it was nothing close to good.

FEW DAYS BEFORE THE TRIP.

On a night class, she met me in her favourite class and ignored me, I ignored her too and pretended I was reading, nothing I read that night got into my head as she was my point on view.

A friend of her showed up, she left the class to meet her, I stood up too and joined them.

I heard them talking about a social excursion for fresher, so I made my investigation and made sure I lured myself in just to have a moment with her.

"Don't blame me o, we guys do crazy things to get a lady's attention, my own is even small"

I was initially rejected that it was for fresher's but I found my way in.

Right in the bus, my thought was...

"So I have entered one chance because of woman"

And on the other hand, I acted like a man.

" something must kill a man"

Finally the social director came into the bus while the resort official took their leave.

" what's going on please, why did we stop, it is dangerous here o" voices came from right to left.

"Please calm down everyone and listen carefully please, we have a challenge and we need to be cautious at this time, we need to..."

A lady interrupted.

" challenge Ke? Did our bus get faulty or we didn't pay them at the resort, why did we suddenly have a challenge now?

The social director continued.

"Please let me explain, it was brought to my notice that there is a traditional sacrifice going on in this community and it has started already so it is dangerous for us to be moving by this time because it involves invocation of the spirit of the land" he explained.

"Ah, sacrifice? Mogbe!, do you mean they want to carry sacrifice this night and no one should be seen? Finally I am going to die because of a woman"

Everyone started panicking and we were looking left and right cautiously.

He continued.

" The dangerous part is the spirit must not see or smell or hear the voice of a woman, it might... "

My crush interrupted.

"It might what?"

"I don't know but that was they said" he replied.

Suddenly we heard the sound of water pouring on the floor, I looked back and alas! Someone's daughter was already peeing on her body.
