the excursion episode 5

THE EXCURSION. Part 5.

Her scream got everyone scared that the driver almost lost control.

We rushed to the back seat where she was seated and saw that her trouser was drenched in blood.

She screamed uncontrollably.

There was a serious panic as everyone held on to their heart. The lady fidget and was attacked by anxiety.

She was asked to pull her trouser to see exactly where blood was coming from, the other ladies covered while she pulled down.

It was confirm that it was her monthly flow that came because of fear. We thought that was the end until three other ladies started seeing blood.

I had a second thought.

"What if this is not monthly flow, what if we are being messed with, we were in panic mode when the driver suddenly matched the break.

It was few minutes after 2am.

We saw agile looking man with tattered clothes and guns round his neck, he stood in front of the bus with touch light on one hand and a big plank on the other hand.

We got stunned and petrified.

His eyes were red like coal and he was as dark as a charcoal.

" where una dey come from by this time of the night in this area, una no know say this area na no go area for this time?" He stood in front of the bus and talked.

We initially thought they were policemen but they were vigilantes.

He walked round the bus and flashed his bright touch light on every eyes, he noticed the fear and panic on our faces.

"Wetin do una? Why una dey look like this?" He queried.

He went ahead to search the floor of the bus, his flash touch light illuminated on the spilt blood.

"Wetin be this? Na blood be that?" He asked anxiously.

"Erhmmm... Yes but its a...." One of the girls wanted to talk before he interrupted.

"Where una put am? Where una put the body?" He quizzed.

"Body Ke? We didn't kill anybody sir, it was menstrual blood from one of the ladies, we are trying to clean her up" the social director replied.

" are you mad, you think say I be mumu? Una go explain where una see blood now" he said rushed to the back of the bus and blew his whistle.

Heavily armed Men scooped out of the forest with guns in their hands.

Okay, na so e don finish like this abi, how on earth are we going to convince these ones that this is a menstrual blood, are we going to tell them to taste or smell it? I thought.

"Everybody come down!" The one with a thick audible voice commanded and we rushed down of the bus.

We were told to sit on the floor while they searched the bus, we knew nothing would be found.

Few minutes after searching, nothing was found, they ushered us back into the bus and told us to move out of that area as fast as we can.

Reason behind that was unknown.

Few minutes of driving. The driver parked in front of an abandoned
Fueling station, he turned off the ignition and placed his kegs on the dash board.

"Oga what is going on? Why did you park?" I inquired.

"Let me sleep for like 30 minutes if you don't want me to land you in the lagoon" he said, closed his eyes and slept off.

The bus was a total mess.

There was a strong pungent smell diffusing.

These menstruating ladies are giving us serious odor.

I got puked and started vomiting.
