THE EXCURSION. Part 9.

The night was a terrible one.

Our ladies couldn't get their sanity intact, they were extremely in shock.

Or should I call it post traumatic stress.

But something elated our mood that very night, a good news.

Something that already put everyone in serious panic.

The female doctor came and gave us the good news.

"Hi guys, your driver is alive and responding to treatment, he is out of the ICU, you will talk to him when the day break" she said in a chocolate mixed with strawberry sonorous voice.

A beautiful smile eroded our face, I heaved a deep sigh and it seems my pressured blood came down drastically.

It was then I started seeing beautiful faces of these soldiers

But all these soldier ladies are pretty sha, how come i didn't see this when we first came in, I think I was too traumatized to see anything good then.

The one that held me touched my shoulder and shook it with a beautiful smile.

" I guess that will make you feel good now uhn?" She said.

I hardly heard what she was saying because my gaze concentrated on her beautiful face with well carved natural eye brow. Her curvy lips with well aligned shape and the lower pink lips.

She smelt nice unlike the ones that stinks like rotten agbalumo.

Her smile was angelic.

" Are you Nigerian?" I asked.

She gave me a friendly smile and replied.

" yes of course, why did you ask, don't I look like one?" She asked.

I turned mumu, all I did was smiling because her level of friendliness is not what I was expecting from Nigerian soldiers, especially the ladies that beat because a man admires them.

"Okay, you need to go back to bed now, I've got work to do, see you in the morning" she said stood up and left.

I couldn't get my gaze off her, she is tall, curvy with a nice step.

Don't blame me please, I love beautiful ladies.

I laid down on my bed and smile like sumaila. It was a beautiful sight of her.

I slept off.

The 6am beagle woke us.

That was when Nigeria woke up.

We were told to go back to bed.

I couldn't sleep anymore till it was full day light. We were in the room when we heard an elderly man's voice.

" Good morning o eyin student " it was our driver's voice.

Everyone jumped up and we wished we all gave him a hug but he was not strong enough to have it.

Instead, we hugged one another for having him back alive.

This soldier lady showed up again with her killer smile.

Oh Lord, why is this lady doing this to me?

Am I in love?

To be continued...

THE EXCURSION. Part 10.

She smiled and approached me.

"how are you feeling now?" She asked.

She wrapped her arm around my shoulder and stare into my eyes, I was shy. Those lips ehn?

I stuttered.

"I..I..I am fine"

She understood.

"We have contacted your school from one of the ladies phone and they have send people, they are on their way, you will sleep on your bed today, the food will soon be ready but before then, try to have more rest" she said to us all and left.

How I wish no one was coming so that I could see more of her kindness and face.

In my mind. "She might not have a boyfriend o, or is she older than me? Or maybe she already like me but didn't know how to tell me" several thoughts ruminated my mind.

Few hours later, people from my school came and we were ready to leave.

I looked around to see if I could see her one more time but I didn't, I was legit sad, I wanted to see her beautiful eyes and angelic smile again.

We boarded the bus one after the other but I stood back and let others go in with the mind that she would show up.

My wish came to past, she showed up like the ball of a yellow sun crawling up from the bottom of the wavey see.

Her hair swimming in the air.

As usual, her angelic smile came with her. I walked briskly to her and stood in front of her. I froze. She smiled and gave me a hug.

An affectionate one.

For seconds, I felt like i was swimming in the air, I felt her heartbeat and the sound of her breathe.

Few seconds later, we broke up.

" I will like to call you when I'm back in school, could you please give me your number?" I asked politely.

She smiled.

"I am married"

My head flew off, I was misty. Words choked my throat.

" I see you like pretty ladies, promise me you will get yourself one "
She said.

I couldn't say a word, I nodded in affirmation.

She brought out her phone and took a picture with me.

" I will keep this to remember you" she said and escorted me to the bus.

I boarded the bus and she stood there watching as we move. She waved again and I couldn't control my tears, they pour profusely.

I didn't talk to anyone till we get to school. People ran to us to to welcome us, all I had in my mind was the soldier lady.

I was walking away from the bus when I felt a touch on my hand. It was Amaka.

She smiled at me. I gave her a fake smile and moved on.

She followed me.

"I need to talk to you Ade, please forgive my rudeness and arrogance, I didn't know you are such a wonderful guy, please can we meet later in the eatery to have sometime together or should I just visit you at home? She asked.

I sighed.

" See Amaka, you are a pretty lady any guy would want to date in this school but I have got to realise that what I had for you is a mere infatuation that won't lead to anything. I was still following you despite your rudeness, it isn't normal, we cannot date, we can only be friends, I'm sorry" I said and left.

She stood stagnant there while I walked away.

I understood that my heart is attracted to care, love, understanding, good character and beauty and that is what makes me feel loved which I can reciprocate.

If I follow a lady like Amaka with her behaviour, it is not love, it is lust and infatuation and it won't end well.

If I could point out one importance lesson I learnt in this journey, it is the fact that spreading love can heal the world.

The soldier lady made me realise that my personality is attracted to a lady with kind heart, care and love with beauty and that is the kind of woman that will make my world a better place.

Spread love today, you never can tell the beast you are turning to an angel.

THE END.
