Paul's statement threw Nora completely off guard. She was having hints of Paul having other plans for her but she didn't expect it to be so massive and confusing. She also didn't expect that Paul would say such, she was rather expecting him to query why she'd not been taking his calls nor replying his texts. His revelation of his feelings for her was a whole new level for her. For a while, her mind couldn't come up with any replies give. She only managed to say "I have nothing to say now, I'll have to give it a thought". Paul accepted the reply, stood up and made to leave. A few steps towards the door, he stopped and said "I'm glad to meet you in good health, please don't spend so much time thinking". After saying that, he left.

Immediately he left, Nora collapsed onto the bed and started thinking. She replayed all the things that had happened between her and Paul; from the moment of their meeting to how Paul had treated and how much respect he had for her. In her spirit, she was convinced that Paul truly loved her like he said. She also knew that she'd developed some feelings for him as well which was why she stayed away from him. She was about deciding on a positive reply to Paul's request but a quick reality check didn't allow her.

She weighed the reality on a balance and decided not to accept Paul's proposal. She considered her background, who she was when Paul met her, he social class, what effect her chosen profession would have on whatever she'd have with Paul in the future and many other odds she thought were not in her favor. She compared what she was worth to who Paul was and was convinced that the impropriety was too much. With that, she made a decision to decline Paul's proposal even though she had feelings for that gentleman who had treated her with so much respect.

About a week later, when she had made up her mind on what to say to Paul and summoned the courage to face him, she set out to Paul's house. She met Paul in the sitting room where he was listening to the news. After they exchanged pleasantries, Nora sat awfully quiet as she contemplated on how best to deliver her 'declination' speech. Paul noticed her uneasiness and urged her to relax her nerves. He also assured her that he'd not get upset no matter what she would say. This assurance calmed Nora down a bit and she spoke.

"Paul, you've been kind to me since we met and you have accorded me the respect I didn't deserve. I like you as a friend but can't you see the gap? In another world, in another life, I would gladly grab at your proposal with both hands. Your are a good man. But in this life, we're worlds apart. You met as a prostitute, a low life and that will forever ring a bell if we hold anything. I appreciate all you've done for me since we met but I think we've come to the end of whatever we have. Please don't consider me an ingrate for turning down your proposal. We're who we are and that's it. I can't date you", Nora said while trying so hard not to cry and to avoid Paul's face as well. While she was speaking, Paul just listened with a light smile across his face. When she stopped talking, Paul stood up, went over to where she was and sat beside her.

He held her hands and said "Nora, I would say that meeting you was a pleasant coincidence but what I feel for you, what I ask of you is my deliberate heart desire. I've thought of all the reasons you gave which would make us not to be together before making this move. I know how I met you and I know who you have been since then. I don't care what your past looks like, I started knowing you from the moment I met you. Who you were is immaterial to me as long as you will give room for a positive change. Our worlds would be the same if we agree to make them so. Please my dear, believe me when I say I love you, it's not something I do easily". He then looked directly into her eyes and asked "Now tell me sweetheart, coolval stories have you no feelings for me?" Nora pulled her hands away from Paul's, shifted her gaze and was faintly saying "I do have feelings for you but you know........ " when Paul glued his lips to hers, giving her a very passionate kiss.

Nora wanted to pull away but couldn't. The feeling she was trying to suppress was overwhelming and she couldn't fight anymore. Slowly, she reciprocated the kiss and they proceeded to an intense romance session. Soon afterwards, their clothes were off and Paul was already hitting hard while Nora moaned pleasurably. For the first time since she started having sex, she forgot to ask for condom. After some long minutes of intense banging (Room 306), both of them reached orgasm and collapsed onto the couch. While they laid on the couch in their natural forms, Nora asked "now what?" "Officially, we're now lovers", Paul replied with so much excitement. From that day, they hit off a relationship in which both of them were very committed. It was a blissful thing.

During the course of their relationship, Nora told Paul everything about her life and how she ended up in the prostitution business. She told him about the loss of her parents at a tender age and how her relatives took turns in making her their slave. Ultimately, she told him how some rich kids raped her when she was hawking for one of her aunties and how she started using her body to make money since after the incidence. Her stories were heartbreaking and Paul cried while listening. Nora also cried while telling her stories. It was then that Paul discovered that all the tough fronts she was posing were just cover ups for the lots of pains she'd bottled inside. He made her a promise to make sure she lacked nothing anymore. He also promised to do his best in helping her forget the ugly experiences she had in the past. He promised her love and protection.

Time went on and their relationship blossomed. They were madly in love with each other and there was no doubt they would make a good couple. Paul was convinced he'd found a wife and started making plans towards making her his. He organized a graduation party for her and planned on surprisingly popping the 'will you marry me' question at her with a ring when she least expected. He invited his friends and his younger brother to the party. Everything was set and the guests were waiting for the celebrant to make an entrance. Immediately she entered and was introduced by Paul as the love of his life, everyone was cheering and dishing out 'congratulations' except for Paul's younger brother. He recognized Nora from their previous dealings. He quickly pulled Paul by the hand and led him to a quieter place.

"Bro, you can't marry that girl. She is a prostitute, me and my friends have carried her a few times. You can't marry her, bro", Paul's younger brother said immediately they were alone. Paul looked at him with a smile and said "I know she was a prostitute, but she is the woman I want to marry", to his brother's surprise. After saying that, Paul walked straight to Nora, brought out the ring, knelt before her and asked "will you spend your life with me, Nora?"
