"Tick tock, tick tock...tick!". Jennifer Roland said excitedly as she watched Gold Roland walk out of a house with Collins and the police.

She was heavily disguised with her scarf over her head and sunglasses as she sat in the black Camry car that she had bought yesterday before her dad blocked her account this morning, watching them head out of the house that they had trapped Collins and handcuffed him.

She had to leave a tracking device in Gold Roland's car.

No matter how, she just had to.

She beckoned to a rugged looking guy who was standing behind her car. "Hey! Twenty bucks if you can do something in few seconds for me".

"Twenty naira or twenty thousand naira?". He asked mischievously.

Jennifer chuckled. "What do you take me for, huh?".

"Rich kid, what do you want me to do?".

She whispered something into his ear.



"I am going to withdraw charges on the case". Gold suggested to Raymond as soon as they got to their bedroom.

"Why?". Raymond asked her surprisedly.

"Collins is pitiful. I just believe that going to prison is too much. He will practically loose everything. What do you think?".

Raymond looked softly at me. "Do as the spirit leads, darling".

"Yes, but I haven't given up on finding Jennifer Roland. She disappeared from her hideout after she murdered Matilda. She must be looking for me now".

"Looking for you?".

"I ruined her plans. She must hate me so much".

"Jennifer would never kill you".

"She killed Matilda who was her faithful follower. Who would such a person not be able to kill?".

"Make sure before you take a step out of this house, you inform me".


Collins looked surprisedly at me as he walked out of the station. "Why did you withdraw charges?".

I shrugged. "You were my first friend in that house, remember?".

He gasped. "I was your friend?".

"I know deep within you that you are a good person, Collins".

"I wanted to take the company from Raymond. What makes me a good person?".

"We are both fighting for the same cause. To expose Jennifer Roland for killing your mother and torturing my father to the point of death".

"I poisoned her child too. I am destined to go to prison".

I nodded thoughtfully. "I don't even know what to say about that".

He turned towards the police station.

"Where are you going?".

"To report myself".

"What?".

"I can't live in this world without you, Gold. I need that solemn confined room to recover from all the hardship". He parted her on her shoulder. "Thanks so much for what you did for me". He walked back into the police station.

I glared at Henry Roland as Charity helped him into the car that she had brought to pick him up. It was a waste for withdrawing from the charges since I had brought out the real devil, Henry Roland from prison.

I entered into my car and started the ignition but I heard movement from the backseat of my car and knew that someone had sneaked into my car.

It was Jennifer Roland.

How was Jennifer Roland able to sneak into my car without anyone seeing her?

If only I had told Raymond when I was leaving the house this morning.

He had warned me not to leave the house without seeing him but I never listened to him because I didn't want to stop him from going to work this morning.

Jennifer placed a dagger close to my throat. "Drive on". She whispered.


Mr Chap shot into the roof of the Rolands as he entered into the mansion. "Release my daughter or I blow the skull of everyone here!!!". He fired.

Raymond walked into the big sitting room to meet him. "We are definitely going to find my wife".

"How?She left the station for hours and she is not back! She is not picking her calls! My daughter would never do that!!!".

"We will give the company to Jennifer Roland". He said firmly.

Pa Brian walked joined them in the sitting room. "We will set a trap for her".

Mr Chap fumed at him. "What trap are you trying to set when my daughter is nowhere to be found?"

"Who would accept a criminal as a CEO?".

"My pregnant wife is in the hand of that stupid woman and you are talking about company right now?". Raymond fired at him.

"Bower bound has existed for more than fifty years and you think we can just dispose it just like that?". Pa Brian fired.

Zac and Jane walked into the sitting room, holding a big envelope.

Pa Brian cleared his throat as he met the eyes of mr Chap. "I once told you that I will give you a treasure if my daughter crosses the edge, right?Zac, give Mr Chap the envelope".

Zac handed the envelope to Mr Chap and he opened it and brought out the contents in it.

It was a recorder and a disk.

"These video and recorder had captured and recorded Jennifer when she had killed Collins mother and tortured Mr Chap". Pa Brian explained to them patiently.

Raymond gasped at him. "So, all these while, you were the one that have been with the evidence?".

Pa Brian sighed sadly. "How many fathers would want to lock their only daughter in jail?I had kept this a secret with the intention of disposing it if she changes, but as it turns out that she even got worse, I have made up my mind to lock her behind bars".

"If you had released this earlier, my wife wouldn't be in danger by now". Raymond cried out.

Pa Brian glared at him. "Will you be a man and stop panting like a kid!!!".

"You treasured your daughter so much that you hid such evidence for so long until my wife got into danger and you are telling me to stop panting? You are a crazy old man!!!". Raymond barged out of the house.

Mr Chap fumed at him. "If anything happens to my daughter, I will kill your family".

"We will act as if we are going to give the company to Jennifer and hide this evidence until she comes out to get it. That way, we will bring out the evidence and trap her forever while Raymond takes back his place as heir".

"Okay, I will contact Jennifer right now and tell her about the deal".

He dialled her number and she connected.

"This is Jennifer Roland speaking. Who is on the line?".

Mr Chap cleared his throat and gave pa Brian the phone.

"Jennifer, I have signed the company in your name. Release Gold Roland".

"It is too late, dad. I will kill Gold and kill myself. I don't need your company anymore". She disconnected the line.
