Ebere walked into the Palace court and indeed there was a maiden covered in a veil sitting and waiting to see her.
"Greetings my Queen"The maiden said not removing her veil.
Ebere moved closer to her..
"I would like to speak to you alone my Queen if u don't mind"The maiden said glancing at the guards and maids around.
Ebere looked at her suspiciously before signalling the guards and maids to leave.
"Your voice sounds very familiar. Do I know you?"Ebere asked once she was alone with the maiden.
"Of course you do.. It is Ajonwa"She removed her veil and smiled.
Ebere gaped at her but didn't show how surprised she was.
"Olaedo.. Ajonwa.. Whichever you choose to call yourself.. What do you want here?"Ebere said as calmly as possible.
"I have come to finish you off once and for all.. I see how pale and sickly you look and I guess you must be tired of life.. I have come to help you meet your ancestors as quickly as possible"Ajonwa said sarcastically.
"I see.."Ebere said raising her eyebrow..
"I knew you've always been stupid but I never knew you are also useless and brainless..Now I would ask you nicely to leave this Palace back to wherever you've come from.."
"Or what? What would you do Ebere? You weakling.. Powerless and naive.. I wonder why the Earth goddess chose you of all people.. You that has the heart of a chicken"Ajonwa laughed in mockery.
"I'll teach you how chicken hearted fellows behave"Ebere stamped her right foot thrice on the ground and a strong wind gathered a pack of dust into Ajonwa's eyes as she screamed in pain. Ebere wasn't done with her yet.. She dragged her with her left hand and gave her a thunderous slap..
"I won't deal with you spiritually alone, I'll kill you physically too"She gave her another round of slap that brought Ajonwa on the ground gasping for air. Before Ebere could continue with her, she vanished.
"Come out you fool.. You called me chicken hearted right? Now who's running away? Who's chicken hearted? Come out and fight me!! Come out if you are not scared!!"Ebere screamed..
Suddenly, someone held her mouth from the back and she started struggling with the person.. Then they both disappeared.
The guards who heard her scream ran in to see what the problem was but she was nowhere to be seen...

NDI MMIRI LAND
Ulumma stayed back for three days in Ndi mmiri land finalising all plans with Ogoli, Anyanwu and few other trusted Villagers who had the common interest of bringing Ajonwa down.
"So my Princess, Will u stay here till the plan is executed or..??"Ogoli asked
"I think I will.."Ulumma was talking when she suddenly stopped and looked around
"I sense a presence..hide me.. Hide me.. I sense a strange presence"Ulumma panicked.
Ogoli and Anyanwu were visibly scared as they got up and led the way to the inner chambers where she hid.
Just as they were coming out, Ajonwa appeared with Ebere who by now, was already unconscious.
Ogoli and Anyanwu jumped up in fear.
"Wel..welcome my Queen.."Anyanwu stammered.
"Where are you two coming from?"Ajonwa asked.
"Nowhere.. We are just touring around the Palace"Ogoli said and Anyanwu concurred.
"OK.. This is the Queen of Umuozara. She's my captive now..Anyanwu, take her to the Palace prison and confine her there till I come back fully"Ajonwa instructed and Anyanwu called on the guards to carried the Unconscious Ebere to the Palace prison.
"I must leave now.. My mission just began. Keep taking care of my people till am back"Ajonwa said to Ogoli
"I will my Queen"Ogoli promised and Ajonwa vanished.
Ulumma tiptoed to where Ogoli was standing.
"I felt some strange presence coming.. I never knew she'd be the one"
"But how did you know? According to your story, Nne mmiri collected all your powers before she died"
"Well Yes.. She did but I don't know how come I still feel things before they happen and I still feel strange presences around"Ulumma explained
So what does she want? Why did she come?"Ulumma asked
"She brought in a woman.. She said she's the Queen of Umuozara"Ogoli replied
"Queen of Umuzoara?!"Ulumma asked wide eyed
"Yes.. Do u know her?"Ogoli asked
"Please take me to her.."Ulumma said ignoring her question..
Ogoli led the way "This way my Princess"

NDULUE'S COMPOUND
Ndulue was in a critical condition due to his broken head. The Umunna had called a meeting to decide on what to do to Adaugo and Omasili for what they did to their kinsman, Ndulue.
"These women should be punished severely for what they said" Ebo said angrily
"See them.. Their main plan was to kill the poor man. The richest man in this village has 11 wives yet he is not dead.. Okezie married his 7th wife last season and we've never heard of any form of quarrel in that house. I myself has 5 wives and am still strong but my brother here married just 4..ano.. and you both wants to send him to an early grave"Madu said angrily
"We are sorry our husbands"Adaugo and Omasili chorused in tears.
"Shut your mouth!!"Ebo thundered
The Umunna concluded that Adaugo and Omasili would be sent back to their parents permanently till Ndulue recovers.
