SEASON 2--Episode 12

UMUOZARA KINGDOM

The disappearance of Queen Ebere was the latest problem in Umuozara.
Nobody could explain how she disappeared from the Palace but however, search parties were sent to look for her within ND outside the Village but all came back with no positive news.

"How can she leave the Palace when she knows our baby is still tender and needs care.. The boy still gets sick all the time and needs motherly care.. Why would she do this to me?"Afam cried

"Calm down my King. I don't believe she ran away. She couldn't have done that without her child. Besides, what is she running away from? I think this is a case of kidnap.. Yes.. Our Queen has been kidnapped"Okoro said. Coolval stories

Evil still lurked in Umuozara.. Plenty atrocities being committed and the anger of the earth goddess became inevitable.

NDI MMIRI KINGDOM

Ulumma was led to the Palace Prison where Ebere was kept. The guards gave way for her because they knew she was the Princess.
The door was opened and she entered inside. Meanwhile, Ebere was still unconscious.

"I want to be alone with her"Ulumma told the guards and Ogoli.

"Yes Princess"They chorused and left

Ulumma gently tapped Ebere till she awoke from her slumber. Seeing Ulumma, she jumped up.

"Where am I?"Ebere asked looking around

"Ndi mmiri Land"Ulumma said simply as she sat down on the dusty floor

"Whaaaat??! But how..?"She asked wide eyed in shock

"Ajonwa brought you here"Ulumma replied

Ebere paused as she began to remember what transpired between Ajonwa and herself.
"The last thing I remember was my mouth being held from the back not enabling me to shout.."

"Uhmm.. I see"

"You.. What are you doing here? Ain't you supposed to be at the Dark forest?"

"Well, something brought me here..fortunately, I met you. I believe it is not mere coincidence.. It is the will of the gods"Ulumma concluded.

Ebere suddenly busted into tears. Ulumma was perplexed

"What is it Ebere?"

"My child.. Poor child.. I need to breastfeed him. How could Ajonwa be so wicked to bring me here without considering how my child would be faring?"

"Look, I understand exactly how you feel but crying would solve nothing at this moment. All we have to do is know how to get out of here. Your son needs you, Umuozara needs you"Ulumma said
"I promise you'll return to Umuozara hale and hearty and quickly too"

"Thank you my sister"Ebere said wiping her tears.

THE DARK FOREST

"It is time for our you to go back to your Fatherland. You have stayed with me for months now while I train and groom you well for the task ahead. Now I can see you are fit.. You are no more that scared little boy that ran here months ago.."Nku laughed

Nworie laughed too "Yes am fit Great one and am ready to go back to my people and take up the mantleship of Agbala. Thank you for all you've done for me.. You will never go unrewarded.."

And so, the next day.. Nworie journeyed back to Umuozara. He stopped over at the Palace first to pay his homage to the King. Fortunately, the king was having a meeting with Ndi Ichies.
The guard ushered him into the Meeting after Nworie told him he had an urgent message for him.

"Greetings my King.. Greetings Ndi Ichie"Nworie bowed

"Yes? Who are you and what message do u have for me?"Afam asked impatiently.

"You may not know me my King.. But I think few of the Ichies would remember me. I am Nworie the Son of the late Onu-agbala"

"Okokoko.. Iya ehh.. My boy turn around. Come here let me see you"Onowu said
Nworie did as he was asked to.
Onowu stared at him long together with all the elders..
"He is indeed the one" Onowu said surprised

"I thought he was dead because after Onu-agbala's body was found lying on the ground dead, you were nowhere to be found and we thought the killer has killed you and threw your body somewhere far"Okoro explained

Nworie only smiled and explained everything that happened that day excluding the part of the sacred staff.
"But am back now.. For good.. I left months ago under the instructions of my dying father. I went to learn under the leadership of a great man of the gods and am back to take up the mantleship of agbala"

"inukwa.. Are u serious?"Afam asked

"Yes my king"

"OK.. That's good.. You're most welcome"Afam said

"I'll be on my way now.."Nworie announced as he took his leave.

*******

Nworie arrived His Father's shrine and met everywhere exactly the way he had left it apart from his Father's body that has been buried by the people.
The Hut behind the shrine was in ruins. The shrine itself was scattered and everywhere was filled with dust and dirt.
He knew he had a serious cleaning job to do so he dropped his bag at one corner of the Hut and spread the old raffia mat on the ground to sleep.
"Tomorrow, I'll start the cleaning of this place..Let me rest my tired body" He concluded and dozed off.

"Welcome home my son.. I'm happy you're finally back"Onu-agbala said

"Thank you Nnam"

"Just be ready because you'll encountered plenty trials, temptations and war.. But brace up! Do not be afraid because the gods are solidly behind you and my spirit will always guide you."

"Thank you nnam"

"Remember to stay away from evil women.. They will drain your powers and want to make you lose focus..stay away, run if u can..remember even great men can be concurred with the power of a woman. Don't be a prey to them.."

"I promise I'll be focused. I will do all you have instructed.."

Onu-agbala disappeared and Nworie woke up from his dream.

"Evil women? Who could they be??"Nworie asked himself.
