NDI MMIRI LAND

Ogoli had gained the full support of the people who rejoiced as she ruled them with love and levity unlike Ajonwa and her mother. She quickly embraced the idea of having Ogoli to rule them forever.
Although few wasn't in support of the rebellion, the majority was in support.

"You see.. I told you many of the villagers would want and accept you. The reign of Ajonwa and her mother is disheartening as they had caused many havoc to our peaceful Land. Imagine forsaking your own land in the quest of a silly revenge mission.. Bunch of senseless mother and daughter" Anyanwu said in annoyance.

"Now I wonder where Princess Nwaala is.. They sent her away for a senseless mission all for their selfish interest"Ogoli said

"It's alright my Queen. Am just happy the people are on our side. Well, she will come back to meet the shock of her life"

They both drowned in a feast of laughter.

Ajonwa continued to Brew havoc in Umuozara. She had possessed little Onochie and made him fall ill every now and then. Her main reason was to drain the royal home financially for them to fall easily a an her prey.

Ebere on the other hand had become so weak spiritually because try as hard as she could, she was still very bothered about her son's failing health as she devoted her full time on him, running to and fro to make sure he was well. She totally forgot everything Ulumma told her.. She neglected her powers and continued to cry as Onochie's health kept deteriorating every passing day.
She had grown lean from thinking, eating less food and having sleepless nights.

"My chi, what have I done to deserve this? First, I had twins and you took one.. Now my only child is suffering from unknown illnesses!! What have I done wrong to you my gods? What??"She busted into tears as she rolled on the ground.

The 5th medicine man they invited had told them pop and plain that their son was medically okay because all the herbs he had administered failed to work on him.

"Am sorry my King but I don't see anything wrong with the little Prince. I don't think it is about medicine.. This is spiritual and you have to take it spiritual before you lose your son"He had said that morning.
King Afam nodded and the medicine Man left.
Afam went over to his wife to console her.. Assuring her that everything will be fine.

He quickly summoned a meeting of Ichies to discuss all the evil going around in the village..

"It is no news that this Land is suffering from evil forces. Sexual abominations are reported here on daily basis. People fall ill and never get well defying all herbs and medicines.. My son is a perfect example.. Also, Onu-agbala died mysteriously without a successor.. We are at a lose because we don't know who to run to.. Now I ask you Ndi Ichie, what do we do to cleanse our land from all these evil? What is the way forward?"Afam asked

There was silence for few minutes before Ndulue spoke.
"Greetings my King, indeed I think this Land is under some spell or something.. We keep moving in circles, returning to where we began. I thought we've overcomed all these evil before but now I think the problems just started..uhm uhm uhm"he cleared his throat and continued "We should seek solution from other great men outside the Land.."

Some Ichies nodded in acceptance. Then, Onowu spoke up
"I think we should go on with Ndulue's suggestion. We cannot just sit down, fold our hands and watch our people wallow in evil.. We can't!"

"Yes Yes.."The rest concurred and that was it.

"So who should go?"Afam asked

"The young men of course"Dike said

"No No No.. I don't think this is a mission for the young ones.. I suggest we go ourselves.."Onowu suggested.. They agreed.
Onowu and Ndulue volunteered themselves to go and they scheduled to go the very next day.

Ajonwa roamed the Land of Umuozara unseen, smiling at the havoc she had caused.
She walked to the stream and sat down there enjoying the cool breeze that caressed her smooth skin.

"Mother, am avenging your death little by little. I want Umuozara to feel pains and agony.. I want them to languish and die in the fire they made by themselves.."She said aloud

"And you will die by the venom of your own people. Killed and destroyed by the ones you're supposed to be leading. Your selfishness will lead you straight to your own doom"A voice from behind spoke.

Ajonwa jumped up to see who it was who can see her and talk to her because she had made herself invisible to everyone.
There standing before her was a little child of not more than 7 years of age.

"Where you referring to me?"She asked trying to be sure if the little child could see and talk to her.

"Yes.. You of course.. Bringer of evil, evil child! Yes I speak to you.. It is you who will be consumed by the fire you made yourself.. Brace yourself up and await your destruction and this time, you'll be destroyed forever.." The child said and vanished.

Ajonwa looked around in confusion searching for the child.

"Who is this child?"She asked in confusion

Uju had proved to Adaugo and Omasili that she was indeed a tigress. She didn't come to play.
Within 5 days, she had beaten the two women singlehandedly to stupour.
Ekemma was however pleased with the new turn of events because she was the perfect match for the two troublesome women.
They now realised they weren't the only ones who could fight.

Ekemma laughed and jeered at them as Uju had beaten them and disfigured their faces. She alone beat the two of them up like little kids.
"Tigress! Lioness!! You have met your match okwaya? Stand up and fight! show your skills nah!"Ekemma laughed

"Kuchara aka biko (give me 5 abeg)"Ekemma said to Uju who gave her high 5 and they laughed.

"For this, I'll make delicious ofe ede for you (cocoyam soup)"Ekemma said

"Thank you Mama Nnukwu"She courseyed

Adaugo and Omasili lay on the ground crying and reigning curses on Uju.
