Nokia 8110 4G 2018 Features Overview
If you were tech savvy back in the mid-90s, you must have head about the popular Nokia 8110 released back in the year 1996. HMD Global has just released the Nokia 8110 for the year 2018. It’s a redefined device of the Nokia 8110 with 4G LTE support.
After HMD Global brought back the Nokia 3310, they have decided to take it a notch further by introducing this new better version of the Nokia 8110 called the Nokia 8110 4G edition for 2018.
For those who have no idea why it is called “The Matrix Phone”, you must have been wondering what it means and how is it related to the mobile device. Well, allow me to take you down history lane a little bit. The popular Nokia 8110, version 1996 was featured in the 1999 highly successful, megahit movie, The Matrix. The movie starred renowned actor, Keanu Reeves as Neo, Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith and other top notch actors.
Back then, the the Nokia 8110 was a high-end device and was very expensive.
The phone is somewhat curved like that of a banana just like you can see in the image of this post. The phone’s slider is also covered by the predominant alpha-numeric keypad.
It features a 2.4-inch screen display. It also has a 2 megapixel main camera.
The new Nokia 8110 4G edition is 4G LTE and runs on a Smart feature OS. The 4G LTE internet can be shared via a mobile WiFi hotspot.
Additionally, the device will have a double SIM and single SIM variants.
The Nokia 8110 4G device, 2018 version costs around ($97, €79, N34,000).
