Design
Covered all through by an aluminum frame, the screen is further protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. The edges are lined beautifully with aluminum giving it the perfect look. The device is IPX5/IPX8/IP6X certified meaning it is water and dust resistant.
Positioned at the top left corner are impressive dual vertical cameras with LED flash lined horizontally to the shooters. In terms of sleekness , the device measures 9mm slim but overall size weighs 181g. Available colors for the device include Black and White colours.
Display
The display is quite different from what we are used to, with a 19:9 aspect ratio particularly triggered by the selfie notch display.
Display size is handled by a 6-inch IGZO IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, capable of dishing out stunning visuals. It is even more better with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels and a very high 561 ppi density.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, it is powered by the highest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 BV chips, running at 8-cores and clocked at a daredevil speed of 2.6GHz. The Adreno 630 graphics processor handles graphics issues just fine. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
For optimization and multitasking, you have a good RAM capacity of 4GB. It has an inbuilt storage of 64GB power, which of course you can upgrade up to 400GB with a microSD Card.
Camera
The camera capabilities of the Aquos R2 is off the chain, with the rear camera backing an impressive dual 22.6MP + 16.3MP rear shooters. However, unlike that of the Infinix Zero 5, both dual cameras do not converge to deliver images. On the contrary, the 16.3MP rear camera which is the first at the top is for taking pictures while the 22.6MP camera underneath is handles video recording. Interestingly, the 22.6MP video dedicated camera is capable of recording 4K videos.
As for the front camera, theirs is a 16.3MP with notch for taking selfie.
Battery
The battery capacity is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3130mAh battery with fast charging technology.
