Episode 2 we had prepared for the marriage ceremony already, offcourse everyone was excited including my grandmother. The tradditional marriage had been a good one. Few weeks after thier marriage, my stepfather lost his job. It was a very sad news to everyone but what could we do? We just accepted and everyone just managed like that, my mum got pregnant and gave bith few months later to a bouncing baby boy. Everyone was joy filled. At last i had a brother, it felt so good but he choose not to stay. He became terribly sick when he was just 3 months old, he was taken to the hospital for treatment, but things didnt just work out so well and then he died one morning. He was also buried that same day. my mother never remained the same after that incident, she cried day and night for loosing her child, she became a shadow of herself. She had loved this boy so much even tho he was little. But we cant change what has happened. It was really no one's wish but it just happened. my stepfather turned my mother into a punching bag. There was a day my mother fainted as a result of the beating she recieved from her supposed husband, but praise be to God that she was revived, my little brother died in the year 2009, i was nine years then. My mother became terribly sick around the month of september 2009. It got to a point that she almost gave up the ghost, she was gasping for breath then i was told to call a nurse at the junction in front of our home, i ran like a mad woman to the nurse shop hoping and praying that my beloved 29 year old mother wont give up before i get back. I arrived at home with the nurse to meet my grandmother and some of my cousins with my mother. The nurse brought out an anointing oil and forced my mum's mouth open, prayed and poured it into her mouth and also breath into her mouth. And that was how my mother was saved from the cold hands of death that faithful day. My mother was no longer livivng with her husband because of the everyday quarreling and fighting, so she now resides with us.

Marriage is not just working out for your mother

Episode 3 My father visited us most times, there was a day he came but my mother wasnt around because she travelled. My dad broke the news to us that he was getting married. It wasnt a bad news though but made my grandmother infuririated when he mentioned that the lady, he wants to many says he should take me with him. My grandmother bluntly refused. And seriously the luck he had was that my mother wasnt around cause the both of them would have engaged in a serious quarrel. So he left that day. The marriage ceremony was a good one. The woman was a matured one and that was in 2010. At september 2010 i was supposed to be in jss1 then but money was an important factor, i stayed at home for the whole first term. I started school in the second term, that was the beginning of the year 2011. My mothere had travelled to the village to see her dad and became sick again from there. My grandmother had to rush down to the village to bring her to portharcourt. When she came back, she was seriously ill, we all went to a nearby church close to our home. People said that the man performs miracles and sees visions so well. We were looking for a miracle naw. My mother's life is so paramount to me. You come foward, the pastor pointed at my mother and she went to the alter. Your father is responsible for your ill health, the pastor said again. Someone should give me water, he said to no one in paticular, someone brought sachet water, the pastor collected it and poured on her hair, my eyes saw wonders that day. Blood was coming out of her hair as he poured continiously. The pastor later prayed and we headed home. Una for no go that church, that pastor na fake. One of our neighbours who came to see her said days passed my mother's health deteriorated it got to a point that she couldnt walk unaided, she couldnt do anything on her own. My grandmother did everything for her. We had to engage in night vigil everynight crying and praying because it now seemed like it was only at night she wants to die. She was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed to have kidney failure. Aah my precious mother, i dont want to lose you i said when i heard the result

Episode 4 my grandmother carried my mum to the village, i was left home with my cousin. On thier way. Thier car broke down so they called us. My cousin sister picked and spoke to her, then she handed the phone to me, i could hear my mother's weak voice hello aunty i said. Yes i do call her aunty, thats the name i have been calling her since i was little, we actually look alike, people do think i am her sister. She is just 29+ nd i am 10+ so you see. How you dey nora, my mum asked fine aunty, una motor spoil? Yes, them dey repair am, nora no find trouble o, be a good girl u hear. Aunty ok. She hung up. My father came one afternoon, to our house and said that he came to take me to his house, and i was like what of aunty she will come and see you when she comes back. We arrived at his home. I couldnt write my exams then and the second term was coming to an end. I stayed there doing nothing, on the third day, i became very uncomfortable, i havent heard from my mum or grandmum, i packed my things and waited for my dad to return so i can tell that i am leaving and that he should take me back. When he arrived, he said my grandmum is in my uncle's house closeby that i should carry my things. Maybe God heard my prayer. When we arrived at my uncle's house, my grandmum hugged me and i asked her, what of aunty? (My mother was taken to a clinic in her home town where dialysis is conducted on her and some other treatments) she they fine. She responded. then they discussed a little futher and we finally left. My grandma and i left to the village in my grandfather's house, she carried me on her laps and i asked mamakuku, what of aunty? (Mamakuku means big mother in delta igbo language) that name was given to her by me when i was little and thats what everyone calls her. Nora, , aunty don die, she die on saturday (i ran mad on hearing this)

Episode 5 mamakuku, aunty don die? I asked as tears flowed freely from my eyes. My grandma who was already crying said yes nora, she don leave us (she cried continiously)we didnt even know who would console eachother. Believe me, it was a big change in my life. She was buried some weeks later. My grandma and i returned to the city of portharcourt and i continued my schooling. My grandma was working even tho she was advanced. My mother use to buy her wrapper when she was alive, so the woman who sells those wrapper for her actually became my grandma's friend. The woman's husband brother owned a big secondary school so she linked my grandma to him and that was how my grandma started working in as an environmentalist in the school. We managed her little salary. I was in jss2 already. My dad called my grandma and told her that i should come and spend holidays with him. I agreed to go. It was during the end of the year and i was already getting tired of staying at my dad's house because my stepma was nothing to write home about . She scolds me at every little mistake. I told my grandma on phone and she says i shouldnt worry that the holidays would soon be over. Towards the end of the holida, my dad called me and told me that i am no longer going back to my grandma. And i was like this man is joking or what. I didnt reply him. He continued talking that my grandmother is a witch, that my grandma killed my mum to renew herself (see talk) i knew my stepmum had a hand in what my dad just said. Lest i forget... My dad is a pastor working under one ministry like that. it wasnt up to 20 minutes, my dad said those words, my stepmum just came from nowhere. didnt you see how she is now looking, all shinny and beautiful. Episode 6 They started feeding me with so many things they said my grandma did that i know she didnt do any of them. But i could not stop loving her as my only mother left. I also prayed that i follow her when she comes. my grandma finally came. My dad told her that i am not going with her. After series of arguement from the both of them. My grandma went home alone that day. The phone she bought for me was seized simply because she called me most times to know how i was faring. I was enrolled in a new school there. Each time my grandmum comes to see me, she brings clothes, food and money they will startbeating and shouting at me when she have left already. They even said i should stop collecting food from her, i should not hug her when she comes and all that. I did as they said because i was scared. my grandma came oneday and fortunately for me no one was around. She was like nora, why dont you embrace me whenever i come to see you. I have noticed this your behaviour each time i come here. i couldnt hide anything from her and i told her everything they said about her, i told her that they even instructed me not to embrace her whenever she comes (offcourse i had to tell her, she was my mother for christ sake) before i could finish my story, she was already crying. Yaah, it really hurts when you are being accused of having a hand in your child's death. Even adding witchcraft untop. It annoys.. Truth to be told i hated my dad from that moment not because i dont like him but because his brain has been tuned by his wife. All the food she brought for me that day, i ate all before my supposed parents returned.

Episode 7 They returned as usual but before they came back, she left already, they saw all the clothes she brought for me and asked if she gave me money. I said no (una no go see the one wey una go collect today). Since things were now like that, i told her to come to my classmates house when she wants to see me. Comfort was her name. So that particular day, my grandma dropped at comfort's house, i went to her house to wait for her already but i met comfort's younger sister who said she went for lesson. So when my grandma arrived, we discussed for sometime and comfort came back later and was like nora you are dead. What is it comfort? I asked. She said when she was coming back, she met emeka. Emeka is a little boy who lives with our neigbour in my dad's house. So whats up with emeka. I asked again. She said emeka told her that his aunt saw my grandma when she was moving towards the direction of my friends house and now has reported to my dad and stepmum and also that they are looking for someone to carry them to her house. when i heard that, i started feeling dizzy cause i knew the outcome of this would be nothing but trouble, i blamed that our neigbour that wouldnt mind her business. So my grandma said i shouldnt worry, and that she has to leave now, she gave me money which i immediately slid inside my skirt pocket. So as she was leaving, we followed her suit. As soon as we got to the front oher gate where she was supposed to board a taxi. I saw my dad and stepma walking towards us.

Episode 8 my grandmother got infuririated and started shouting at my dad, that was how they both started quarreling till we got home, my grandma told my stepmum that since she is accusing her of being a witch, that she will never hear the cry of a baby. My grandma left with anger. As usual, na beating naa. Things grew from bad to worse. when i sleep, i am not the type that lies sideways when sleeping, most times i turn and face up, my stepmum now concluded that i am going for meeting whenever i face up, and that my grandma has initiated me into her witchcraft kingdom. Some nights they will wake me up , like a particular night they woke me up tell us everything, devil has nothing good for you, even if you hide it. We already know that you have been initiated already.so talk. My dad said that night. And then my stepmum will start giving stories about girls that were possessed she knew, how there were delivered from the devil, bla bla bla.. Like dat. i am not a witch neither do i have anything to say. I told them. why are you making everything difficult, we know you have been initiated, why are you trying to defend yourself. You better confess. My stepmum added. They continued talking till they got tired and went to thier room while i retired to sleep in my mat in the palour.

Episode 9 my dad travelled to the village. When he came back; he came with his brother's child who should be 3 years younger than i am. My stepmum came back one evening and was like, nora, why is the toilet dirty? why didnt you wash iy, she started ranting... I moved to the toilet to start washing it, the next thing i saw was that she has gone to carry cane that looks like stick to flog me, she flogged me to the extent that when i held the cane, she went ahead to carry mortal pistil and startrd hitting me with it, i held it and it almost turned to a fight. I almost fainted that day. She later told my dad that she had body pains allover. my dad gave my cousin some money, that was toward the ending part of 2013 and told him to give me part of the money from there. When we got to the shop, he refuse giving me the money; according to him, he said my grandma normally gives me money that i should make use of it. with that little quarrel we had, he left to tell my dad about how i have been hiding in the shop, that i also said i want to run out of the house to meet my grandma. My dad called and questioned me about what my cousin said. And i told him they were all lies. Even if he believed or not. It was none of business cause i only waited for my jss3 result then i would leave.

Episode 10 The sales girl in our shop has been preparing for her tradditional marriage, so she stopped working in our business center. I and my cousin had to occupy the place before they employ a new one. We were on holidays. On a particular sunday, my stepma and dad took me to a church and the pastor said i should engage in a one day dry fasting, that i want to undergo a thorough deliverance. I dropped the soap at the house, went to the shop and told my cousin that i am going to see a friend of mine. I went to her house, i didnt know you were back o, i said to chinyere our sales girl i came back last week she answered so have you eaten today? she asked no o, they said i should fast today, that they want to conduct deliverance for me. Nawa o, abeg wait make i go bring food for you, she said and left to the kitchen, she came back with egusi and eba. Seriously, i was farmished i ate the food hungrily. So i waited for my grandma there, when my grandma came she called her and we went outside to meet her. I bade chinyere good bye and i left with my sweet grandma

Episode 11 when i got home with my grandma, i was welcomed by neigbours and friends, that evening my grandma called my dad and told him that he shouldnt look for me that i am with her. (Did he even have anything to say sef?) ok. He answered. That evening, i ate delicious noodles and slept on bed for the first time in a very long time. I was finally out of the land of bondage indeed. I lived peacefully with my grandma, i was enrolled in a new school by my grandma. We managed the little we had. It was getting towards the end of the year 2014 december period. My grandma fell ill. I didnt tell you she has two more children left.yes! She has a daughter and a son. My mother was her last born. so when the sickness was getting kind of worse, i called my grandma's first daughter and she was like i should take my grandma to the village can you imagine? A 14 year old girl should carry a sick elderly woman from portharcourt down to delta state as if i even know road. Instead of you to look for money and come down here so we can take her to the clinic, you are there talking gibberish. (i asked her in my heart) i couldnt listen to what she was saying anymore on phone cause it was totally meaningless. So i hung up. I had to take my grandma to the church we attended,which was (winners chapel) while explaining to the pastor i couldnt hold back my tears. Pastor was now consoling me sef. After evrything the church admitted her into a closeby clinic and they paid the bills, sometimes they bring food for her. I had to cater for my grandma, i was the one bathing her, and so many other things, yes i had to do all that, she was my responsibility and was also my loving mother. butday after day, her condition was not getting any better

Episode 12 we had a relation there, close to the hospital, my grandma's husband sister. She lives close to the clinic. So she and the girl living with her normally comes to visit my grandma in the hospital. It got to the 31 of december, my grand now looked like she was begining to improve in her health, it got to new year the first day of the year 2015, my grandma thankGod for seeing a new year. She called me to come closer to her and i did. She just held my hand, i burst into tears. I didnt know what to think, she started consoling me, telling me not to cry. I wont die she said. The day went by and it was dark already, i woke up at night to find out that my grandma's syringe on her hand which linked to the drip has been ripped off due to th way she slept so i called the nurse to fix it up . She couldnt even do it so she had to call for the doctor. And then he fixed it. They tried giving her food and her medicine but she couldnt take it. What kind of problem is this? I said to my self. She was laid back. Everyone retired to thier various positions. Later she started gasping for breath like she was convulsing, the woman whose child was sick that was in the same ward with us saw her first cause i was about lying down, she rushed over to her using her both hands to press her chest while i ran to call both the nurse and the doctor by the time they came she was quiet already so we thought she had slept. They left again. I went to the toilet and when i came out, she wasnt lying down properly so i tried turning her, she became so rigd, i called the attention of the lady and we both couldnt turn her, i called her name, for where; so i called the doctor and nurse again, when the doctor finished checking he said, mama don go... It was like i was having a nightmare. I just went to sit down and was trying to bring myself back to reality. Life was supposed to be filled with good things, it was supposed to make beings happy. Yes most people on earth might have been so lucky, in a way that life has been good to them. But its quite unfortunate for some people. People like me, it just make you wonder if you were created never to smile. Even when you think you have a little hope, it just gets you to loose it. It can be so unfair

Episode 13 it was a bad day really, i first called those my relations who normally come to visit us in the clinic, she started crying on phone while i resumed mine. The news went viral that early morning 2nd day of january 2015, church members, friends, neigbours all came to the clinic guess who i saw next, her first daughter, whom i called before.. If i tell mamakuku that this her daughter is not a human being it will look like i am insulting her first daughter. (so na the day wey her mama die naim she dey come.rubbish) she called me, i was thinking she had something important to say. This woman was like. When i told you to carry her to the village why didnt you carry her? le question. I was actually thinking of the appropriate answer to give her so as to satisfy her stupid question. I was already annoyed and sad at the same time. So if i should answer her, i would insult her and it will turn to a quarrel. I just kept mute. When she knew i wasnt going to reply her, she left. I thought of my survival this time around, i couldnt figure anything out than calling my dad, so i called him and told him that she was dead., then in some minutes later he came to the hospital. My grandma's friend who found that job for her, called and told me that my schooling will be taken care of, she said the director of the school my grandma was working. I didnt know what to feel.. Some hours later my grandma's corpse was taken out of the hospital, bills were cleared by good samaritans. my grandma needed to be buried in the village. my dad and some few relatives folled th car that took my grandma's corpse to the village. Another phase of life awaits me

Episode 14 it was all over that day, i left for my dad's house again, as expected everyone was calm at first. I was always staying at home. Few weeks later the fees were paid for my new school, by then i was already in ss2, i was 15 years also. My stepmum had always tried to pick a quarrel with me but as they say, wisdom is profitable to direct. I just and always acted as if she was not reffering to me. It was just like a blink and the year ended, i had to register for my jamb. Yes even if they had to pay all my fees, but at least not jamb. You can wait, just write waec first maybe when things are okay you write jamb my stepmum said. Its not like they are the one paying the fees, so whats up with all these outburst. Later that evening my dad gave me money to register the next day. He didnt tell his wife because of her decision against it. I was done with the registration already. My dad announced it to my stepma, you should know the next thing naw, she flared up why did you register without tellikng me, so i am now a stranger in my own house. She turned to my dad, so you have turned me into a stranger, it is now you and your daughter abi you didnt want her to register, and i want my daughter to go to school early, besides she is on scholarship, i knew that if i have told you before giving her the money, you would have collected the money from me, so thats why i didnt inform you. Sorry. My dad pronounced my stepmum was dumbfounded and astonished at the same time. I just watched her while she resumed her ranting sorry for the late update. I have been kind of busy lately, but i will try to make it regular guys

Episode 15 The place was filled with skeletons part, which was used in decorating the walls of the room which was relatively large more looking like a hall. A red cloth was placed at the center and the sides were filled with women and girls of all kinds, each of them had a long hair, thier fingers all sharped and long. A huge seat more like a king sized one at the edge of the room, a very ugly lady, which has all the features of others, more like a beast. Daughters of the eve, she pronouced in an audible way making the others hear live long oh queen, they all chorused i called you all for this meeting because we have an urgent case which has to be attended to immediately.the queen continued My daughter here gift complained to me about her husband and her stepdaughter. Her husband has now turned her back on her and now is on the side of his daughter. what do you wish to happen my dear: she asked gift i want my husbands attention back, i want him to agree and adhere to anything i say without argueing with me even if its a wrong action or statement. And as for his daughter, she registered for jamb. I dont want her admitted. Gift said it is done my daughter, the queen said and let out a wicked laughter. I wrote my jamb at the beginning of 2016 and i got an average score 202, althoughthe course i choose was a way higher than my score, i then opted for my second choice, i also wrote my waec that same year and i made 6bs and 3cs, (i no mind for the a, suffa say i don pass) it got to when admission process began and it also ended, i no see admission eye. My dad kept ranting about how my score was low and all that kind thing. My stepmum never asked me anything concerning my school. I also never borthered to tell her. She kept trying to make life miserable for me but i didnt give her that chance. I was 16 years for God's sake. And she calls herself a pastors wife. If thats how all pastor's wife behave then, the church should have been in shambles by now. My dad was not even helping matters at all.

(i recalled someone searching my bag in my dream, when i woke up i couldnt find the money she gave me to keep). I just hope God sees me through in this house she is no longer scared of me, that little brat, i will show her. Mrs gift said looking very furious. Her room was locked up already, she was inside. Her fingers now sharp her eyes turned yellow. She was looking like a beast already, she was enraged. Then she came back to her normal self when there was a knock on the door

Episode 17 Things werent going well at all. My dad was now a full woman wrapper as i would call it. He was just like a zombie for his wife. He agrees to whatever his wife says. It was as bad as that. Hmmm to cut the long story short i had to swear, i knew nothing would happen to me. i just did it to reduce the beating of that night. So someone cannot even have a peaceful sleep again. I knew my life was becoming even more than a disaster but i still had to cling to hope. God was going to do something and turn my life around. Episode 20 i and doris left the next day to her school, i just had to wait for her lectures to be over. Then we left to meet her friend. Her friend seemed to like me immediately she saw me. Episode 22 he stood up and was about to run but the snake was fast to tie him with his body, began struggling with the snake, pleading the blood of jesus. He woke up sweating, he had actually slept when he finished praying some minutes ago. he turned to the other side and saw his wife lay sleeping peacefully. It was actually a dream. It cant be his lovely wife; he thought someone must have used her face to show. It cant be said. He knelt down to pray about the dream since i started working, things had actually turned out well for me, doris was an angel to be sincere. Jamb form was out already. I had gone to purchase the 2018 jamb form, and i am preparing very well for the exam. I had worked for 2 months and i had saved up to 10 thousand naira. I was glad things were working out well for me. I just closed from work and was heading home. I saw a trailer who was running with full speed as if the person driving it was drunk. Unfortunately, befor i knew it a bus was hit by the trailer. Jesus christ i screamed, everywhere was in caous My God, it was an accident. People started gathering the scene. People who were inside the bus some died instantly while some were injured. People started running helter skelter, some trying to convey taxi's that will carry the injured ones to the hospital, while some opted to call the ambulance. I tried to pass the crowed hitting my body with some people while trying to go to the front of the scene. I was shocked by what i saw, My God. i screamed. I was almost crying. Episode 24 my jamb exams was fast approaching. I read like never before. I wrote my exam on the 12 march 2018. It wasnt really hectic, although questions were very trickish i must say. One has to be very deep in thinking to get the right one. I tried my best. I muttered to myself when i got outside the building. I thumbprinted and left. When i got home. Doris had already gone to school for lectures. I thought so. I retired to the bed to rest for that day cause i took permission from work. Episode 25 i woke up very tired that bright morning, i had a very stressful day yesterday so i was just somewhat weak. I stretched my arms up; used my hands to cover my mouth that was yunning already. Doris was still asleep. But scared me with the way she woke up The blood of jesus, she screamed as she woke up. I was startled. Ah ah, doris whats the problem. I asked doris who was already holding her chest in fear staring at me. nora i had a nightmare, she managed to talk. I saw you in a cave, which was filled with darkness, i tried to help but i couldnt then i saw some one trying to use a dagger to stab you on your stomach. I didnt see the person's face. But the person looked like a female.then i started screaming the blood of jesus till i woke up. Nora, we really need to pray. Someone is after your life. She said with fear which was written all over your face. I personally dont really believe that dreams come to pass. I just think that its just a result or the total outcome of our deepest thoughts. So thats exactly what i thought about dreams. But its cleary the opposite of what i thiink about doris's dreams. I see it in a total different perspective. That is because anything she sees in her dreams comes to pass. And it happens exactly how she saw it If its a good one but when she dreams of something bad, it might come to pass if not rebuked immediately by the strong power of prayer. I had to take this one very serious. Doris please lets pray.

continuation Doris brought out her bible and opened to psalm 91 in which we read to the end and after that sang few songs of worship and started praying for close to an hour and 30 minutes. After the prayer session which we had.doris insisted we visit a strong man of God which will be her pastor. We would visit him the next day. I obliged. She prepared for school while i prepared for work. She looked around the compound but no one was in sight. She smiled to herself. It wass exactly the time she had been waiting for. She tiptoed to where her neighbour's clothes were hanged. She scanned through the one to collect from the clothes spread on the rope. Yes. The red gown she finally figured out. She tiptoed close to it. Stretched her hands to collect it but as soon as she touched the cloth, she withdrew her hands instantly. It was like they kept electricity on the cloth that shocked her immediately she placed her hands there. What was wrong. She tried touching the cloth for the second time but was put off balance by the shock of the electric from the cloth. And landed her on the floor. She tried standing up, the second time. The clouds changed to a sudden blue colour, she became kind of scared for the very first time in a long time. Then she heard a voice that sounded like thunder but seem to be talking to her only. But the voice mentioned only one word ''REPENT'' the voice said. It was like it echoed and now turned to reverberation. And it was like it passed through her auditory meatus to her tympanic membrane with so much speed. She had never been scared like that in her entire life. She quickly managed to stand up and went to her apartment with speed forgetting and abandoning what initially brought her.

Just this midnigt prayer will stop all that. Your enemies would be put to shame. I was shocked, my mouth agape, i wanted to talk but no words came out, it was just tears flowing freely. I have suffered enough. Now they want to use my life to end it all. Another important thing is that you have to be fully born again, the pastor continued. Thank you pastor, thank you jesus. I said He prayed with us briefly and we stood up to leave. I told you nora, doris said, i couldnt be mistaken, something was actually wrong somewhere. But dont worry God is totally in full control. I was unusuall quiet. "You were actually scheduled to sleep and not wake up" i couldnt forget his words God forbid, i rebuked it soliloquizing.

Episode 27 it was morning already. Indeed tired is an understatement. I was very exhzusted. Last night prayer session was something i havent done in a long time except when i attend vigils.
