"Delilah pls don't do this to me, we've been together for long and memories have been great, why are you doing this" I asked
"Stan am sorry, we're no more at the same stage, things have changed and i have to change with it, so pls you should kindly respect my decision"
"So you're changing your mind because i just failed my MBBS exam and have been chased out of school, i really need you now that my life is falling apart, i need you now to avoid depression" I begged
"See i don't think you've a future again, just go and purchase a bike and start to carter for yourself and forget about me, i deserve better" she said while clapping her hands
"Delilah who's this one here"
"It all this boys that don't know their class again, imagine this stupid and useless thing telling me he loves me" Delilah replied
Ada burst into laughter "oh Mr man you look so poor and you're looking for a girlfriend instead of a job"

"Madam i dey here" Adamu said
"Now listen, anyday you allow this useless being into this compound just know you'll be hunting for another job" Ada said seriously
Adamu turned and looked at me "Oga oya dey go" he pushed me out of the compound.
I left Delilah's place and headed to a bar just to calm myself down a little and also forget my sorrows and Delilah for a while. After drinking i knew i had to choose btw sleeping at the beer parlour or to stagger home. I got up and left
Days, weeks, months and years passed i had gotten over the heartbreak, but Delilah still lives in my heart, sometimes i wished we were still together, i remembered her telling me she wanted to get married to a medical Doctor and also the good old times we had. Now she's dating Paschal whose father is a politician, she uploads lots of his pictures and tagged it LOVE OF MY LIFE. I felt more pain but i knew she's out of my reach, soi have to hustle hard to make it since am now a drop out after failing MBBS twice.
2 years later i got an appointment to work at one China oil company here in nigeria, i was givem a car and a house and it was the happiest day of my life, i started work and everything changed for good, i now live the life i had wished for. I got for myself a new girlfriend whom i so much love and had forgotten about Delilah.
One bright morning i heard a knock on my door, Rachael had told me she'll be visiting me and will be staying for the weekend, i jumped off my bed raced towards the door to embrace the love of my life only to find out it Delilah, she looks tired, exhausted and unkept. I was surprised to see her in my house but was more surprised to see her in such condition.
"Jeez Delilah what happened"
She looked down, shaked her head and said "Stan it a long story"
I took her in, gave her food and one particular gown i had bought for Rachael.
She narrated her story, Paschal had always been beating her up, he's not attending to her needs and then he broke up with her 3 months ago.
"Since then I've been looking for you, pls am sorry accept me back as your lover" she knelt down and cried
I calmed her down, held her close and told her I've done that a long time ago, she thanked me for accepting her back and promised to love me more.
I took her to old carolina hotel to celebrate our re-union, after drinking for a while, we took some pictures and i ordered for more chicken and for more enjoyments. After a while i stood up, looked at her and started laughing, she was surprised "what are you up to Stan"
"To hell with you Delilah, you made me weak and left, you ran away when i needed you most, burn in hell Delilah, your eye have now open so you decided to come back home, you now call me pet names like you care, Delilah without you I'm fine, without you I'm doing well, since you left I'm stronger so just leave me and go, Damn you Delilah, don't you ever come back to me or to my house again" you know what "i used to think you took my breath with you but it's a lie, just go back to your handsome rich Paschal, Damn you Delilah, forget about me" i said and then majestically left the hotel leaving Delilah behind.
