I went to the shore
A lost stone to seek
Didnt know what she searched for
From afar she drew nearer
I didnt have time to realise
She dashed towards my direction
In my state of searching mind
I swung to save
She bashed at me
And flung us both into the raging sea
I realised too late we were drowning

I cast my eyes to the shore
And from thence faces saw
Some were far off for safety
Others were nearby for fun
"That was stupid" I heard some say
"That's ridiculous" Some yelled
"That's marvellous" Others awed
All the while we were drowning

I heard a call "To the shore!"
Moves were made for rescue
The line was thrown and some gasped
But we were glad to drown
And disapper in the element we were
Thus rejecting help
In the faces of tidal waves and storms
Hopelessly they looked on
Wondering for a miracle to pull
As we happily and helplessly
Drowned in the sea of love.
