episode 1 Amara entered the conference room, walking steadily to the head of the table. she was already ten minute last and as expected four ladies were already sited waiting for her. they become quiet and alert as she approach. amara noted with quite satisfaction, tags a smart young lady walked behind her, files in her hands. immediately amara got to the end of the table she instantly draw the chair and sat down tags quickly and neatly arranged the files on the table and pass a tab to Amara. Thank you Amara said with a straight face,collecting the tab and placed in on table, she placed her hand in the table as taga passed around the printout the the four ladies. when tags finally sited Amara passed a little smile on her face and turned to the ladies. hello ladies she called like she was just seeing them. hello Ara the replied in unison , with more enthusiasm. sorry I was late, I need to attend to other things. she began, but since am here let get down to business, am going to make this meeting as short as possible because I have other appointment to catch so be attentive as possible. the ladies nodded and murmured their acknowledgement , adjusting their seat and position and placing a smile on their faces trying to impress her. she noted this and mentally scored the way they carried them selves, she smiled, well you all knew why this meeting being held . you have been under training for the past two weeks and going thru post practical event planing. we have taking you thru the decorations, style, colour combinations , courtesy and manner of approach, how ever this is when u need to put all u have learn to speak for u, amara said and stood up keeping her contact with the four ladies as she continued. here in Ara p we boost of impeccable and unbeatable event planing right from the reception of the event to the end of it. we strived to deliver excellent service and we have been known for our professional approach to any event. she paused and noticed that one of the girls was jotting down what she had been saying, she mentally added point to her, the girls didn't know that their test had started. do you have and questions she asked? but they replied negatively. she smiled, have a lovely day ladies she said and walked out if the conference room. with her tab firmly in her hands as she greeted her workers. she closed the door to her office and walked to her table, it has been six years now and who would ever think that she would be an event planner, she hadn't thought of it her self. it had happened so fast, she was surprise how far she had come, her dream of becoming a doctor had been trampled. after heating the rock bottom and all she wanted was to get back again, she had quickly realized that been destroyed, and the way to get back is stop mourning the dead. her experience had changed her. she turned from a naive girl to a strong independent girl. after leaving Kevin six years ago, she had walked around Abuja for several weeks before she meet a lorry driver who was headed to Lagos. the kind minded man helped her because he was traveling alone. the man even feed her in their way. coming to Lagos was the best decision she had ever made because there was always something to sustain her self in the ever busy Lagos. her ladder to success wasn't an easy one but she made it, she wasn't where she wanted to be, but she's not stopping. episode 2 Amara took out her system and took it out of the stand by mood , checking the company email but found none.she just checked some minute ago and was not expecting to find any,but checking the email had become her habit even thou taga always stay on to check and keep her informed if she found any. she always wanted speedily responds to her costumers who choose to send email instead of calling. finding no email she opened her spread sheet she had been studying. she had three event coming up now and all their preparations are ready. all the event where wedding ceremony and it seems that everyone wanted to sentence their self in prison of marriage. everyone one wanted a happy ending after. dreams that only fairy tales talk about.if only they knew what they would get here in real life" is sadly ever after";they would not happily accepted to sentence their self in prison. she heard a knock on the door and the door cracked open and only one person would do that, taga was the only who did not see her as the high and mighty ara" if thou she respected her, which made them seem like frds rather than boss and staff when they are alone. she could say what ever that comes into her mind without wasting time. even thou she was her secretary she was more like a personal assistance to her. she feels pride in calling her self a PA , even thou Amara hated it when she was over stepping her bound. still she can't fire her because she was not stone hearted as she wanted to be. hey boss the girls are coping very well with their first test, sitting down without Amara permission. that good to hear amara said without lifting her head from her system. a mail came in now and a company is celebrating their third year and they want to as their event planner. Amara lifted up her eyes for the first time and wondered y she always check her email, when tags would always be the first to find it out. that would be good news, that means will be working on something else than wedding. taga smiled , wait till you hear the company's name, she said with happiness in her voice. Barcket" she said. Amara was surprise, the news pleased her well not because of the. AME but because of the status of the company. the company had surface from no where and it took over others do u know the founder of the company? no I don't no, what about him she asked shutting down her system. Omg, u should see him, he his really hot. she said, I have never seen a man born of a woman so got as him. ooohhh she used her hands to fan her self, amara looked at her disgust by. taga amara shouted and she jumped Form her chair, I need to remind u taga this is a working environment and u are employed to perform ur duties not to talk about men. if I are u I will focus on them, because there are many unemployed people seeking for ur position . have I made my self clear she said in anger. episode 3 Now make ur self useful, yes boss she said not looking scared or repentant, off course that was not the hundred time she hearing that and off Amara threating to fire her. and make ur self useful by sending the mail to bracket I have an appointment to catch she stood up and took her bag. I hope it with a man taga said holding her breath, amara gritted her teeth and wondered y she hadn't yet sack this girl and be done with it, she walked to the door and raga followed her closely. meet the team I need an update report of the on going project on my table before I come back and if any thing urgent comes up call me. don't worry boss ur P.A would take care of every thing. taga said and Amara signed and walked away. Max checked him self on the mirror again, as he ran his hands thru his jerry curl. his hair was permed making him look like those America actors with his light skin. he loved his hair now it made him look more handsome even thou he knew he had always been handsome. he smiled at him self in the mirror looking at his perfect white teeth, he left the room to the sitting room , he saw his driver waiting for him, how do I look he asked him, standing and waiting for his driver's reply. the man smiled dryly " well very handsome sir" and any woman would kill to have you, he said what he always says any time his employer asked him this question. but it was not a lie Max was one of the most handsome men in he had ever seen, but he wondered why his boss was always proud of how he looked. some ladies are not as beautiful as his boss his he said in disgust. the response the driver had given him pleased him so much, he picked up his phone yes any woman would kill to have me , but I will kill to have that one woman as he mental picture of the woman appeared in his head, he pictured them together and said she would accept him the moment she set her eyes on him, he hadn't seen any woman who had ever rejected him and it just a matter of days and she would be his, just his. Amara drove into her compound completely tired and hunger was bitten her tummy and all she wanted was to go into a very good sleep she had not been able to return to her office after seeing her client the woman had be a big pain in the neck arguing at every word Amara said and she pasted her office smile on her face until she was certain her face would split into two with the force on it, as if that was not enough she had to face the award wining traffic jam on the way to her office moving only two inches in every 30minute until she decided to head home. signed she took her foot off the pedal and stepped out of the car. she pressed the unlock botten and walked into her mini flat apartment she occupied with three other people whose names she could not remember correctly she didn't have time to mingo with any one and she doesn't care anyways. entering her apartment her shoulder swang abit and her sitting room was not made for a day Like this, it was cold and emotionless and that how she wants it to be. she reminded her self that she had to remain focused, there was no picture no frame in the wall , all that could be seen there where comfortable chairs. and TV set, without pausing there she headed to her bed room , she dumped her bag I'm the bed and used her last strength to remove her shoes and collapse fully on the bed and slept off. as she entered her dream land her phone rang waking her up from her sweet sleep and she checked the called and it was Tina . Hi guys happy new week. episode 6 Amara got to the confidence plaza at twenty minute pass five she signed . this has got to be the worst day of her year she thought, Maxwell had been so annoying and funny, she always knew that men loves to talk about them self but Maxwell seems like he was advertising him self, showing her how good and resistable he was. she found that so annoying and now she had to face another person. her phone rang and she looked at the caller and or was Tina. and she picked it up, hey Tina she said, hey babe are you there , she said with smile sounding thru are voice. well am at the place right now , Amara said, OK have fun don't count on it Amara said and ended the call. it not too late to turn back she said to her self,as she looked at the building. moving inside as she sighted a security man. pls am going to the eatery she said to him and he pointed at the elevator telling her to go to the third floor, she said thank you and walked away. seconds later the door opened and she entered a nice looking restaurant and she walked in with her heart beating wildly , she told her self there was nothing to be scared off but her heart would not just slow down, she scanned thru the place looking for her date , she saw 27 and it was four steps ahead of her, she saw a man seated there with his back turned to her , she swallowed hard trying to control her breathing. she was still in her office clothes the one she was putting on when she saw Mr Babs, the man seating there was also on suit making it looks like business date,she put on the biggest fake smile as she approach the table, but her smile disappeared as she saw the person seated at the table, you must be kidding me she gaps. hey , it nice to see u again Amara ,Maxwell said with a mischievous smile. ################################# Alex entered his sitting room with a heavy heart, not knowing what he would meet because his house was always boiling like fire most of the time, other wise it would be cooler than ice. right now he would prefer cooler than ice because he was tired and weak,he sat down with his head dropping at the backrest of the chair, where is this woman he wondered. he prayed that they might be a miracle and she's not at home, that didn't happen because he heard her foot steps coming to where he was. you are here she said advancing to where he was shaking him with fury, and Alex closed His eyes, regretting why he married her. you better open ur eyes oh, it either you kill me today or I kill you because someone will die today as she threw some pictures to him, immediately he saw the pictures he knew that hell will be let loose from today to the end of the month. due to the frustration he encounter at home his frds advice him to seek satisfaction out side and he found himself engaging in three some and picture were taking, but he kept those pictures hiding but nothing was hiding as far as Lisa was involved . where are those slut she screamed at him shaking him with all her might and was almost taking him off the chair. who are they or are u deaf? Alex decided to talk, that none of ur business who gave u the right to search my room. eeeeeenh see this man oh, she clapped her hands by the time am thru with u, u will not have the mouth to ask foolish questions. I said who are they she squeeze his shirt almost choking him. woman leave my shirt this minute he said with anger, or what? are u going to beat me up,useless man , beat me up now beat me.the sound of cry made them turn to see their child standing there and was watching them, pls stop fighting she pleaded to them still crying. Lisa left Alex shirt and said to him have u seen what u have caused. be better go to where u are coming Frim because his house will not contain the both of us. come with mummy Pamela she said dragging her crying daughter with her. I think u have told me more than I should know about u hoping to get him angry, who knows he might do her the favour to get up with anger and leave her alone, saving her the stress from from another boring conversation. well I intentionally told u all about my self in the office he acknowledged. you did she asked, trying to keep her anger down, yes , so that I can hear all I need to know about u he said to her. amara looked back to him not knowing the correct word to use for him, there is nothing worth your hearing about me, he raised his eyes to look at her, I was hoping ur life would be as interesting as mine, because I had a pretty interesting life right from day one, but I will still like to hear urs. amara looked at him with annoyance, this has to be one of the most annoying man in the word. A waitress came to serve their food and Amara watched as they openly flirt with Maxwell and he was the center of attraction, she averted her gaze and focus on her food. Maxwell didn't even ask her what she wanted because he had made the order before she came, she raised her eyes as the waitress shakes her hip when walking away from their table, he laughed and kelvins flashed back to her mind, making her brink many times to remove the image from her head. it not my fault that am so handsome he said to him self, women naturally ran after me. Amara bit her mouth to stop her from replying him angrily. as she focused on her food. you don't have to be jealousy thou, he said and I have eyes for one person. good for you Mr Babs as she raised her fork to like a vise and looked at him coldly. Amara shook her head and said u are the most egotistic man I have ever meet, how dare you she barked, for the first time she saw a deep frown on his face. she stood up drawing people's attention to their table, am not for sale handsome freak and if this y u gave me contract u better take it back, I don't know why I came here and Tina would hear from me. rubbish, she grapped her bag and walked away pressing the elevator angrily and her blood was running thru are vains and she was sure she would have nervous break down, immediately the door opened she marched away and Max's words kept repeating on her head as she came out if the plaza . episode 13 She had to keep her child with a friend, because she could not bring her daughter , she stopped a taxi and booked down a hotel for herself to stay for the main time and she had to figure where Alex would be staying. if she wasn't on a mission to fish out her husband, she might use her time now in Lagos to enjoy her self, but she couldn't do that not when her husband might be in the hand of another woman. she had to deal with too many women because of Alex, including the delectable Amara, she thought bitterly. was Alex worth all this fight? she could not leave him, she could not leave the fame and wealth the marriage had provided for her, she can not do without the luxuries now. and if any woman think she can just come and take it away from her, she should think over again, no one can take away Alex from her. The hot sun had already made the exist ground disappearing behind the cloud when Amara drove into her compound, this is the first time she got home on time; but then this particular day and the date always comes with bitterness, she would never had step out of her house if not for the client she was expecting, she had been close to tears all the day, her usual bossiness and harshness didn't surface today, and once again she had been the Amara she used to be. the girl who was ruled by her emotions, it was a relief to be home, where she could pass over this day on her own, every March 23 she would remember how close she was to be a mother, it slipped away from her finger how every other things do slip away. even thou the child had been a product of abomination, she felt the child could have given her a reason to live: a reason to smile over her past. but now she had nothing to live for other than this unending bitterness and strive to prove every body wrong. She finally got out of the car with her hand bag on her hand, she walked to her apartment after locking her door but her eyes caught something after getting to the landing, she saw a form sitting at the entrance of the other apartment, the small girl sitting at the entrance was the daughter of her neighbour, the girl probably five or six years old, she was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. although Amara had been hash and uncaring to her neighborhood but she couldn't do it when it comes to children, instead she had soft spot for them. they always reach her heart unhindered and where she didn't know all names of her neighbours but she knows their children names, Nadia looked like an Hausa girl with her dark long hair parked in two bonds reminding Amara of a cute little doll as she sat sleeping resting her head on her school bag, Amara was moved, walking fast as she could towards the little girl, she got to the little girl bending down to the level with the little girl touch her on her face, until Nadia opened her innocent little eyes, Nadia seems to notice where she was instantly sitting up, Amara smiled at her, hey sorry for waking u up. good afternoon, Aunty Ara she said with her little voice. why are u sleeping here, and where is mummy amara asked her, a sad look crossed her face, mummy isn't back yet, she comes home late; Amara felt the girls pain, for the first time she felt like having a word with her neighbor and it seems like the girl is used to sitting outside waiting for her mother. you know what sweetheart y not come inside with me why u wait for mummy, I will prepare something delicious for u to eat. what would you like to eat? Amara laughed and walked happily into her kitchen, delightful in having a child, as she listened to child talking to the cast on television, she knew how happy a mother just be , by having her child around her. it was the greatest feelings. Amara turned on the gas singing happily to her self with her ears glued to the child sitting room to be sure she was still enjoying her self. suddenly Amara wanted the indomie to be the sweetest ever, she took out a piece of chicken from her freezer and put it in the microwave to heat it up, y waiting for the food to be ready she stood at the entrance of the kitchen looking at the girl, how happy would she had been having her child with her, she wouldn't have to seek happiness in every woman's child. she was not even sure of that, now is not time to think about this she added some vegetables on the food and within few minutes she was carrying a hot plate of Noddles to the Dinning, immediately the food reach the dinning Nadia lost her interest on the tv and bounce to the dinning. It had been a week now and she is yet to hear anything from Kelvin, it almost as if it didn't happen at all; but how could she believe that when he stood so close to her, so close that she perceived the same perfume he used years back. he had been so close and yet so far, she had pushed him away, but he had promise not to let her go, but then, why isn't he coming back? she had expected him to come and get her off her feet again like he always did, but he didn't show up, every day she had expected her next client would be him, but time and time again she got disappointed. she lifted a gown before her eyes. it had dark shade of purple and looked perfect, she had abounded it when she bought it, because it fitted her body so well and that is what she wanted today, she thought that kelvin had refuse coming back because he thought her appearance is lacking, she put on the gown and looked at the mirror , took a white jacket and added it to the gown she looked different, she could not believe the beauty that was looking back at her, for the first time she hadn't put on a oversize dress to keep men off, but that wasn't the case , for they still approach her. my staff would think I have contacted an incurable disease she said to herself wondering if she hadn't. but the desire to take off the clothes never came, she packed her hair very neatly put a little lip gloss and moved away from the mirrow no matter how hard she Denys it, her old self is still in her.as she walked to the car, she wondered if she had grown soft, because she had never in her life said to herself that she was beautiful enough to appeal a man, I cannot be thinking of having a man in my life now, am I ?. Reliance was bubbling with life as kelvin walked inside, the busy staff pushed immediately they saw him murmuring their greeting, which he answered with a smile. he had never been a person who fancy a tie, so part of his shirt are always opened below his suit showing biyof his muscled chest. the ladies put on their biggest smoke when he walked pass them not even noticing them as he walked into his office. Lisa crabbing her phone angrily as she watched the taxi carrying Alex drive away, she turned and looked at Ara p wondering why Alex stopped there and continued on without stepping out, the fact that Alex Lied that he was in the meeting showed vividly that he was hiding something. follow the taxi and the driver moved into action. the man knew that there was something fishy going on, Lisa tapped her legs angrily, she noted the name of the company as they drove off, she could actually believe that he came here for business because he hadn't seen Alex with any woman. she repeated the name of the company and later told the driver to drive her back to the hotel. Amara stepped out of the building as the day grew dak she was totally tired from the days work and all she needed bow was a cold bath and her bed, as she walk towards her car she couldn't help the feeling of been disappointed for not seeing kelvin, she had dressed up with the hope of seeing him today and hoping for a miracle that he would show up, but he didn't, she wonders what evil that might have befalling her to be thinking about a man, she shouldn't be thinking of him talk less of wishing to see him again,as she got to her car something caught her eyes, a beautiful Flowers which look like a flower she had seen years back. as she picked up the flowers she was sure she was been drawn into a web, she knew yet she felt powerless about it, she opened the card attached to it and it says " you are more beautiful" the word echoed in her head over and over again, although the card had no name she knew who sent it, tears fell down freely from her eyes.TBC the comments am seeing here is not really encouraging, pls comment after reading

Kelvin had already moved away from the car before she came down, but he wasn't taking any step towards her. she stood by the CAR praying that her legs should keep her standing. Happy Easter to every one episode 23 Amara came out of the bedroom still dress in the same clothes, she couldn't imaging her self changing her clothes or taking a shower she really needed all because of Kevin so close. she had never had a man in her house before and it seems so strange to her, especially the frizzling tension between them, she had washed her face, after standing for about fifteen minute . it it rude to keep a guest waiting for that amount of time.but she wanted to get her courage before standing in Kevin's dominating presence. kelvin wasn't in the sitting room but the sound she was hearing was coming out of her kitchen, she told her self that kelvin had gone all the way to make him self feel at home. she walked silently to the door of the kitchen as the delicious aroma of the stew entered her nose, she stood silently st the door watching kelvin. he open the pot on the fire to look at it and then close it again, his sleeve of his shirt was rolled up revealing strong hands as he went to the cabinet to take something. I hope you like what u see? Kelvin shocked her, by saying it with laughter in his voice. Amara shifted like she had just been caught stealing, she looked at his back wondering how he knew she was there. she had thought that her feet were silent enough, what makes you think am doing that uhn? you always have the habit of doing that, Kelvin said. then turned his head from what he was doing to look at her, she held the frame of the door tightly as his eyes landed on hers, seeing kelvin in her kitchen was somthing she was never going to forget in a hurry, she will probably enter the kitchen any time she remember him position beside the gas cooker. you have always been too full of ur self , Amara retorted. kelvin too a quick glance in her dress, seeing she hadn't changed, thank God not every thing had changed about us, Amara suspected something in his voice, he turned and Amara saw he was cleaning the cabinet, her legs unlock, she finally joined him, what on earth is wrong with her brain anytime she sees Kelvin. you shouldn't have done this she told him, avoiding his eyes, you are a guest, u shouldn't be cooking. thank you very much. he had always been thoughtful and sweet any woman would be lucky to have him, this is making it the second time of him wanting to kiss her, but turned away amara wondered if there is a woman now in his life, it had been years, surely he must have stopped loving her. there must be another woman now she shifted uncomfortably. angry at her self for even thinking about it. kelvin noticed her discomfort, and sought to ease it, tell me about Ara p, he said and he grabbed two plate, what made you go in to event management ? last I remembered you wanted to become a doctor passing the plate to Amara. after all that happed to me I didn't want to chase the dead dream of becoming a doctor and she was happy that the topic was changed and they are talking about her company for a change, I started learning headdress when I got to Lagos in other to get enough money to go back to school, months after I began the daughter of my boss was celebrating her birthday and I decorated the small room , I didn't think much about it until my boss started talking about it, a month later her frds sin wanted to celebrate and my boss told me to decorate for her. I enjoyed doing it when they sang songs of praise, then I decided that it might be more profitable so I pitched my tenth there. I started with children part until a rich woman noticed me and told me to decorate at her book lunch and that was it, her friends started inviting me, I gathered enough money where I enrroled in part-time to study business management, then I got my self a shop that was how Ara p started. the look in kelvin face was priceless, feeling her with warmth as he watched her talk, I am proud of u he told her I knew you will make it. episode 24 The senator sat in the taxi with his wife as the driver drove them to prestigious hotel. he wondered what on earth is going on, it had been long since he sat close to his wife like this, and he looked at her as she sat down beside him.she was looking out side lifelessly, she had done everything any woman can do for her to be forgiven, but he couldn't forgive her. he hated the coldness between them but he still loves her. the driver stopped at the front of the hotel and they both came out, Alex better have a good explanation for dragging them here, as they entered Alex approach them at the reception. good morning dad, he greeted. ignoring his mother. Mr bello was about to point out, when Alex said please come with me. the senator noticed that Alex was angry, and he looked like he hadn't slept at all . they all entered the elevator, listening to the sound of the machine. Mrs bello was uncomfortable as the men in her life ignored her. she blinked back the tears as they stepped out of the elevator, and move to the door Alex opened. inside stood a woman who looked familiar to them, Mrs bello couldn't remember if her husband hadn't call the woman's name. Hannah" he called out surprisedly, as he looked at the older version of the woman he had known years back. Mrs bello also raised her eyes in recognition. you both know her , Alex shouted in disbelief. this is so perfect he exclaimed. can you both explain why she thinks am her son? Amara was so nervous that she felt it inside her stomach, she completely avoided looking at maxwell, she couldn't say what stupidity had gotten into her for her to behave that way. she had completely used him and he had no choice than to play along with her, she couldn't just imagine what disaster it would have been if she had been exposed by her lies, but instead he covered up for her, thou she had felt his tension when she put her hands on him, and I kissed him, she felt faint from the thought and she avoided his gaze, the surprising thing is that she had felt nothing and she started playing with her fingers nervously. I think I need an explanation of what u just did, he said with a raised voice, making her lifting her face instantly. I am sorry, I should never have done what I just did I acted without thinking,am sorry. you used me to get him jealous. Hey Ara she called. good evening mummy Nadia, Amara greeted. I didn't see you come in, some dropped ur car, she said as she moved closer. yes, I just came in few minute ago, but why are u outside, she asked. is everything OK? she asked looking concerned. Oh no, I mean yes, every thing is alright, am just waiting for someone, Amara said with a smile. the woman smiled, oh no I all most forgot. some one came earlier looking for you, a very pretty woman she said with a slight smile. Amara eyes went up, trying to get every details, IT PAY BACK TIME,loomed around her head, what woman? she frowned, she hadn't called u yet, she asked, she told me she would call you when I asked for her name, she didn't tell me Nadia mum stated. Amara looked at the woman, she thought that the woman didn't care about her child, but now she saw the woman pain, being a single mother might be hell. would I have also had this problem if my child had stayed. out of no where she popped up, ur child should be ur first priority. yes I know , why is why I work to put food in her stomach, pay her school fees and every thing she needs. I work for her there is no one to fall back on. this might sound silly she thought and I don't know if this would help, if u quit ur job can u come and work at Ara p?, we work hard and I can give you time to be with ur daughter. unexpectedly the woman eyes watered, you would so that, give be a job in ur company. Ara he said, as he walked up to her. thanks for coming kelvin she said as his hand brushed away the hair blocking her face, her hair band still held the other half part of her hair. are you okey? he said, where is the .... he lifted his head and saw a woman standing just few steps away. Amara also turned looking at Nadia's mother her eyes narrowed when she saw her checking kelvin out. she was openly looking at him, running her eyes over him. wooah where did you find such a breath taking man Ara? probably if I go there I might get lucky , Nadia's mother said with a wistful look on her face. Amara swallowed, as she found Kelvin looking at the woman, looking very much like he was flirting with her as he approach. he took her hand as he placed a kiss on her fingers, u are definitely a beautiful woman, he said. and that word shocked Amara. I have a cousin who could give me a run for my money. I don't think it possible, it already sin to look this good, then she leaned down and said something to Kevin and they both started laughing, good night Ara she said and walked into her own apartment.
