PROLOGUE:- It was one saturday night,one hour after super,and the play THE ABC,written by form (s.2) stundent named jackie,was being staged in the school hall.Most model high school students together with their friends and parents had gathered at the hall for the play.This was an exciting play by a clever and creative stundent the play sought to portray a society where corruption,poverty,drugs and violence were prevalent,the play seemed destined for great things. Jackie's teachers had been an encouragement to her and was confident that the play would make it to the national level during the inter-school drama competition. In this particular show, new charges that had been incorporated would be highlighted. The charger were significant and would give the play a sharper edge. Vuziga michael jackie's english teacher had advised her to make the changes and she accepted enthusiastically. I was looking forward to seeing the performance that night. Ejoe and Nelson were sitting at the far end of the hall,i was sitting next to them. They were both chewing gum and feeling the reeling after-effects of the bhang the had smoked earlier that afternoon. When the curtain was raised and the play got under way, Ejoe sat back in his chair with a sneering expression on his face. Andrew wore a dreamy expression almost oblivious of what was taking place on the stage. And finally when the play with a thunderous clapping of hands and the cast given a standing ovation by the excited audience, the boys stirred to life. "the fool!," Ejoe metered. Andrew dug him in the ribs "shut up man!" He hissed at him ,"that language is reserved for gutter". Andrew tended to dislike foul language. Ejoe noticed jackie stand on the flat form to thank the audience and accept congratulations from eager students and parents.
