PROLOGUE

"I will kill you if you step your feet into my house again, idiot! , my father thundered, as he converted his hand into a fist."STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER! !!, YOU SCALLYWAG".
Fafa left quickly without saying Goodbye to me but I understood the situation perfectly well."
☆☆☆

Among all human emotions, none sparks so much controversies and interest than love.
Love is a wonderful and an exciting experience. It summarizes the sweet sensation a person feels for another person they are emotio
nally and physically attracted to.
Until you meet that special person you may never know the extent to which love can have a tremendous effect on your life.
Cupid the god of love does not discriminate in shooting his love arrows. Eros love is said to be a mystery. It makes people behave in ways that may look foolish , even crazy to others. It softens the hearts of brave and intelligent men . In fact ,men can endure pain but not love. Love makes men cry. In the battle of love, men even lose themselves but there lies a great danger in that.
love is not a fairy tale as portrayed in movies and sole operas. It has both the sweet and bitter part.
The arrows of love can hit the right person at the wrong time or from a tribe hated by others on the basis of stereotypes.
When the heart is captured in the web of love, it has no respect for age, social status or boundaries, or tribe lines even if it contravenes societal norms and culture. This blatant and uncontrolled passion
often leads to conflict between the lover and his or her families who see that emotion as a FORBIDDEN LOVE.

EPISODE 1

*** FAFA AND THE AWARD ***

Have you ever heard of the expres
sion, "Love makes the world go round? “I remembered Jennifer Lopez's musical lyrics :

"Love makes the world go round?
La-la-la-la-la-la-la?
Love makes the world go round
La-la-la-la-la-la-la?
Love makes the world go round-ound-ound-ound?
Love makes the world go round?
La-la-la-la-la-la-la?
We...we'll be alright
Living our lives?
Finding some satisfaction?
No, we're goanna hide
No fear from our eyes
Love is a call to action?

I am Abena Yeboah, a fante from the Central Region of Ghana, more specifically Cape Coast. I don't know how to describe myself to you without sounding bias but all that I can say is I'm average height, brown skin and curvy with plump legs. I have sexy eyes, thick curly hairs and a mild pointed nose above pink sensuous lips. I guess I'm more hairier than the average Ghanaian girl. I was 18 years old.
My father Joe was a retired military officer and my mother was a Secretary at the Cape Coast Regional Office of Ghana Education Service. I had one brother and a sister, called Kweku and Yaba respectively.
I was admitted into the University of Cape Coast in 2015. Being a highly emotional person, I tried as much as possible to disassociate myself from the issues of love because I knew my heart was very delicate and once I gave it out to someone, the person could take control of all facets of my life.
I was therefore careful not to put the key to the door of my heart at a place where it could easily be stolen by tricky university boys and used to manipulate me, under the guise of love. Of course, I saw a lot of my mates who couldn't safe
guard their hearts from those "ravenous wolfs" in the forms of those bad university boys, got smashed and trodden upon. It happened to my bestie and she ended up dead. She was called Jasmine. Let me tell you a little bit about her.
Jasmine met that guy at the monthly Inter-denominational church service on campus in level 100. His Name was Gershon. One thing led to the other and they began hanging out, having fun, and all that. It was quite a pretty sight to behold but I was a little bit skeptical about the guy. He acted too artificial whenever he was around my friend.
One day, I spotted him in a club when I was going home. I caught a glimpse of him and asked the driver to stop the car for me to confirm my perception. When walked closer and peeped into the club, he was there dancing on a Hip hop song with another lady.
I tried to call my friend to come and watch the scenario for herself but her phone was off.
I left. I returned to school later to see my friend crying.
"Jasmine, talk to me, what happened ," I asked.
She was sobbing uncontrollably. Mustering some courage, she said, " I caught Gershon in bed with another lady and when he saw me, he told the lady not to mind me because I am a prostitute. Then without any shame he continued honking the lady in my presence and was moaning uncontrollably high."
"What!!" I always suspected this boy , this nitwit but I don't know he was that debaucherous, I complained.
"I'm sorry, dear," I tried to console her.
She looked at me and said, "uhm, I will deal with that skate- chaser."
"I hope you will not do anything stupid," I said.
She smiled through her tears and said to me," keep hoping."
Without looking at me again, she walked away.
"Where are you going, Jasmine?" I asked but she ignored me.
Since I had lectures that evening, I left.
That night the was a great commotion between Gershon and Jasmine. I was told Jasmine went to Gershon's Dormitory, saw him fucking the same lady again. In a Flash, she poured acid on the both lovers. Then she broke into a run on the 21st floor. Unfortunately, she was too close to a rails and slipped off and fell from the 21st floor of the storey building to the ground, dead.
Police officers were called and they took her lifeless body to the hospital. Jasmine was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital with deep cracks on her skull.
Her body was deposited in the mortuary with the police investi
gating into the cause of the incident.
Gershon was arrested as a prime suspect but the extent to which Jasmine's acid damaged his and his swiving girl's skin had made the police to rather take them to the hospital's Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre rather than the police cell.
He was later acquitted and discharge since no prima facie case was found against him. Well, my friend was later buried in the bosom of the earth.
Another casual friend of mine called Grinnell was beaten to a pulp by her jealous boyfriend who saw her talking and smiling with a male lecturer. She was brutalized to such an extent that for three days , she couldn't walk on her feet even though she was sent to the hospital.
Those experiences strengthened my resolve to focus on my studies.
I managed to keep this routine for three years in the university despite incessant romantic advances from some of my male colleagues and lecturers on the university campus. Most of my mates said I was an icon of beauty on the campus.
Well, there were some truths in what they said.
I hardly passed by a male without him turning his head to take a second look at my naturally endowed backside and gargantuan front elevation. Even blind men knew when I passed by them. Natural Beauty seemed to be my bragging right on campus.
When I reached level 400, Fafa Amenyaglo, one of the coolest guys in the Science Department won the best -student- of -the- year award for his outstanding academic prowess and discipline. Fafa was a quiet, handsome guy, very reserve, humble, polite and surprisingly had a strange sense of humour, a direct contradiction to his rather MelPhleg temperament. He was a guy of very few words.
The award made Fafa famous on campus and it wasn't long before he rose into a celebrity status, with media houses chasing him to grant them interviews. He was often seen on several TV stations like TV3, MetroTV, JoyNews underground interviews. At a point in time , he stunned the interviewer to the extent that she could only gape at him. He looked very debonair in his elegant suit.
Fafa was also a mathemagician. He calculated figures like child's Play. It was even rumoured that he even computed Maths faster than a calculator.
When the name "Fafa" was mentioned, every student in the university turned his head just to catch a glimpse of him.
He was an "ACADEMIC GOD getting a cumulative GPA of 4.0 almost every semester.
To crown Fafa's success, he had the opportunity to go to London to represent the university at the National Best Brain Science Quiz Competition represented by the notable universities in Ghana, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Education, Winneba,
University for Development Studies,University of Mines and Technology.
At the end of the competition, University of Cape Coast won the contest, kind courtesy of Fafa's ingenuity. Winning at the National level qualified the University to Compete with Universities in the sub -region of ECOWAS. Thus Cape- Coast University met with University of Lagos, University of Ouagadougou, National University of Benin,Université de N’Djaména, Addis Ababa University, University of Dschang. Once again, Fafa won the contest and now represented west Africa to Compete with representatives from other great universities in Africa like South Valley University in Egypt, University of Nairobi,University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Again Fafa vanquished the representatives from those universities. He represented Africa on the Global stage. Being among the giant Universities was not easy.
Fafa competed from Reps from University of London,Stanford University, Harvard University,
University of Magdeburg and the
Munster University.
The questions were tough and brain consuming. Fafa managed to crash some of the prestigious universities in the world like Stanford University and The Munster University.
Now it was the finals of the finals. There were four Universities left, University of London, Harvard University,University of Magdeburg and University of Cape Coast.
The whole of Ghana was watching the competition keenly. For once everyone was skeptical about Fafa's ingenuity. Could he beat the Reps from the world's famous universities like Harvard, London and Magdeburg?
The score was 130 for Harvard University, 100 for University of London, 90 for University of Magdeburg and 120 for University of Cape Coast.
Everyone was tense. The question was asked. Answer this question for 20 marks.

"What's the most significant advancement made in Physics over that past 100 years?"

The Rep from University of London tried but wasn't very accurate, so were the Reps from University of Harvard and University of Magde
burg. Then the Quiz master said, any idea from our African Counterparts?"
The quiz master laughed. If Reps from the world best Universities couldn't answer the question, how will a poor African boy be able to answer it.?
The quiz master said, of course, "he has no ...."
Fafa was tense .The whole world was watching him. Africans were watching him on TV. It was a tense moment. Getting that 20 marks will make him win the overall context.
Timidly, he raised up his hand and said,"There is not one invention but many inventions made in Physics in the past 100 years that can be said to be significant.
* The Big bang model proposed by Georges Lemaitre in 1927. He proposed that all universe came from the explosion of a mass densely concentrated at a single point.

*. Discovery of nuclear fission by Otto Hahn in 1938. This process is now used for the generation of nuclear power in nuclear reactors.

*. Research in the field of quantum electrodynamics by Richard Feynman.1948.

*.Theory of cosmic inflation of the universe.1981.

*. The accelerated expansion of the universe was discovered in 1998. It showed that a galaxy is receding from a distant observer with a velocity that is increasing with time.

*. Gravitational waves proposed by Albert Einstein in his theory of general relativity were confirmed by the LIGO. It opened up a new field of physics called gravitational wave astronomy.

The quiz master was stunned. The pen dropped from his hands and he exclaimed loudly, WOW, THIS GUY FROM GHANA IS A GENIUS. "
The score turned 140 for University of Cape Coast, 130 for Harbard University,100 for University of London, 90 for University of Magdeburg. Fafa won.African won.
Ghana won.
Suddenly, everyone erupted into joy. Fafa had won the World best brain Quiz Competition , beating the world best Universities in the world. People round the world watched him with so much admiration. Africans , especially Ghanaians, were happy. Fafa had put Ghana on the world Academic map.
Fafa had risen to the status of world celebrities. He was interviewed at BBC, DW-TV and CNN.
The day Fafa returned to his homeland Ghana, he was welcome by the state and given a special escorts. He presented the prestigious award to the President of the Republic before coming back to school.
Despite Fafa’s impressive academic record, he was a very down- to- earth person. Though most University girls crushed on him, he had no time for those "daughters of Eve."

~EPISODE 2~❤ **EVENING STROLL** That evening was very boring. The sun was going home after a hard day's work to give way to the moon. I was lying on my bed staring blankly at the ceiling. Nothing seemed to interest me. "Abena, are you in there?" My friend Afua called me from outside my dormitory. "Afua, I'm in here, what's up?" I asked her. "Nothing ooo. Just feeling bored and decided to come to you," She said. "Me too, I was on my bed thinking of going to Ama's Dorm." "Ok. Hurry up. Let's go see Ama," Afua said to me. I got up , dressed and we headed towards Ama's Dorm. Upon reaching there, Ama was also getting ready to go to Afua. We laughed at one another. It was silly. Afua planned to visit me, I planned to visit Ama and Ama was planning to visit Afua. Afua suggested we take a stroll. We all bought into the idea and decided to do that. We passed between 'flexy & Sons Resident' North -East of Fredmef Hostel. On our way, we bumped into three nice looking university guys whom I guessed were also taking a stroll. One amusing thing about University Guys is , they think once they come to the university, everyone must bow for them. Quite annoying. They decided to join us, because we were all moving in the same direction. I realised two of the boys were really loquacious which was typical of most university guys. They talked about cars they had not touched before, countries they had not set their feet in before , monies that did not exist in their pockets or bank accounts , all in a bid to woo my friends. I don't know why guys seemed to think it's plenty talks that woo a beautiful lady. It's not about talk..talk..talk. It's about a guy's impression on a lady. Probably, first impressions are lasting impressions. I realized one of the three boys was not talking. He stood unique and was quieter than the other two boys. He seemed unperturbed by the chats and smiles going on between my friends and his friends. He was in a world of his own. I switched sides to get closer to him. Suddenly, my handkerchief fell on the ground. Before I could bend down to pick It, he had already picked it for me. I said, "thank you, dear." He stared at me and said, "Welcome Miss........." "Oh, God!! tell me I'm dreaming. "This can't be true. There he stood, very simple and easy with a calm gentle smile. My heart missed a bit. I couldn't believe I was staring at my crush and number one fan, my role model and my source of inspiration, the aficionado of Academic prowess and a global Celebrity. The "hot cake" every lady and perhaps some female lecturers were dying to date or at least have a one-night- stand with on campus, one of the world's geniuses....I'm talking about…. Fafa. I smiled seductively at him but he seemed disenchanted. The other boys in Fafa's company intensified their loquaciousity in their bid to impress either Afua or Ama but still Fafa didn't utter a single word. I kept looking at him, my incessant looks betraying my hidden admiration and affection for him. Fafa was very modest. How could a celebrity be walking with commoners? I got closer to his side and said , " uhm, excuse me Fafa, "can we move a little bit away from my friends?" My friend Afua stared at me with a knowing smile. "Okay, " Fafa said and move a little bit away from the group. I began talking, "Fafa, I'm one of your favourite fans in the university. You are such a genius. Congrats for wining such an enviable award. He couldn't look me in the eyes directly but he said," thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate it." "Welcome dear, "I said, rather involuntarily. Suddenly, he looked at me curiously without saying anything. I decided to take the initiative once again and started a much longer conversation with him. I knew every accomplishment began with a decision to try. I surely needed to accomplish my mission with Fafa. "Fafa, can we be friends ?" I asked him, without mincing words. "Which type of friends?" he asked curiously. That was the question I have anticipated he would ask me. I said, "Normal Friends, Errr, ummm. I mean ...Boy...I mean Platonic friends ," I mumbled over the words. You might be wondering why I couldn’t simply tell Fafa that I loved him and would like him to be my boyfriend. The fact is, culturally, a lady is not supposed to propose love to a boy. Off Course, this was an obnoxious culture in this rapidly evolving century of globalisation. Sadly, cultural versatility was a luxury we don't have in abundance in our part of the world, a world stemmed in the thick waters of a fixed, antiquated culture. I decided to break that culture and made my feelings known to the guy that had unknowingly stolen my heart since I came to the university but had decided not to involve myself in the issues of love. I asked him, "Can I have your contact number?" "I am afraid that is not possible," he said. I felt a little bit embarrassed by his response but decided to hide it. At first, I decided to excuse him and leave but the pull of love made my feet unmovable. I pressed on with the conversation. "Why can't you give your phone number to me?" I asked. “Sorry, Abena, I don't use a mobile phone. I believe mobile phone is a distraction to my studies for now,” he justified himself. I was dumbfounded. How could a 21st-Century University undergra duate, who have risen to the status of a global Celebrity, not have a mobile phone which was even ubiquitous in primary schools, not to talk about Senior High Schools? I didn't believe it but decided not to prop it further but I have other ideas in my game plan. "Can I pay you a visit ?" I asked him. He looked into my eyes for the first time and smiled, saying, "No, I'm always busy." Is Fafa flexing on me? I doubted it. He didn’t look like that type of guy. As I was contemplating on what to do next, "Fafa's deep voice broke through my thoughts like a sharp knife through a bread, "Okay, Abena, you can pay me a visit this weekend if that will be okay by you . I'm happy chatting and with you tonight. The truth is , I have never had a female friend before." “Like seriously?” I asked, visibly stunned. “Yes, it’s the gospel truth. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not Gynophobic but I don’t want to be gynephilic either. It’s a personal decision. My study is my priority, “ Fafa explained. He looked at his watch and said, ”Gosh, it’s getting late, I have to go home. Have a good night. "Ok, Fafa, Good Night, see you soon ”I said. I am sure by now you could see that Fafa was a strict and princi pled guy. I loved him nevertheless. Guys of his kind were very scarce. I told him, I will be visiting you this Saturday.“ He responded, “Ok, Abena, I will be looking forward to seeing you. "Which time will you be coming, please?" he asked. "9.30 a.m.,” I responded, "If it's OK by you." "It’s OK with me, Fafa Responded. We rejoined our friends, returned and ultimately parted ways at a junction and moved to our various hostels. Unfortunately, Fafa's friends could not niche their presence in the hearts of my two Friends Afua and Ama who saw them more of a bunch of talkative boys than serious guys. I felt lucky to be the only one who met the "golden fish." On my bed , I felt like a happy queen. I dreamt about fafa that night... It wasn`t a common dream. It was a kind of dream that I had never had before or if I did, it was a long time ago and I didn't remember anymore...  It was a good dream. So good that I woke up in a hurry, with this mad desire of turning it into reality as quickly possible; I must say I felt a bit uneasy about confessing my dream to you...  Here it goes... In my dream Fafa wasn't exactly wearing those nice outfits he normally wore when he came to lectures. There was no coat over Fafa's shoulders, no shoes squeezing his toes and no tie around his immaculate white collar.  I could sense his great, strong and masculine odor. In fact Fafa was not wearing any clothes .Just a tiny little towel threatening to fall down his legs. I was excited and moved towards him. The moment I moved towards Him,I woke up!  I didn't know what he was going to do to me, but one thing I was sure of is : this dream really happened!  ❤

EPISODE 3 *THE VISIT* ~Saturday @ 9.30 a.m ~ I went to my bathroom and spent thrice the normal amount of time I used to spend there. I then put on a white laced pant to match a white brassier. Initially I wore a tight jeans that accentuated my body contours and an harmless blouse that amplified my cleavage and other physical endowments at the front and back views. Later I abrogated my decision and wore a blouse and skirt. First impressions are lasting impressions. I want Fafa to see me as a good and responsible lady. I opened my make-up kit and I searched through the content; Moisturizer and Primer.Eyebrow Pomade and Spoolie Brush. ... Eyeliner and Mascara. ...Nude and Red Lipstick. ...Brushes and Tools. . ..Blush and Highlighter, Eyeshadow Palette. I combined all the items in the make up kit with dexterity and come out with the best make-ups I had ever done in my entire life. Even the fragrance from my perfume could kill an innocent fly. After making sure everything was done to perfection, I headed towards Fafa's hostel and soon reached there. I knocked on his door. "Come in, the door is opened" a voice boomed from inside his room. Upon entering his room, Fafa welcome me rather more friendlily. We chatted for a few minutes and then he asked me to watch Telly while he took his bath. He explained to me that he spent the night learning for the forth coming End -of -Semester Exami nation. I sat on his couch comfortably and faced the Telly. Most of the TV stations weren't showing any interesting programme . Just when I was about to change the TV channel , my eyes fell on a story book titled: UNTIL DEATH DO US APART I quickly muted the Television and focused on the story. ******* --The Story-- In the story, Jack and Jennifer loved each other so much but as the years went by, their love grew cold and Jack began seeing another woman by name Maureen. Then Jack wanted a divorce. Jennifer was grieved but she gave Jack her divorce conditions which was for them to pretend to live as normal a life as possible so as not to traumatise their son who had an exams to write in a month’s time. She also requested to be carried out of their bedroom to the front door every morning. Though the idea sounded crazy to him,Jack agreed. He did this every day and soon realized that their sense of intimacy was growing again. Then he realised his wife had grown thin. Jack then decided to stay with his wife and break up with his girlfriend Maureen. He told Maureen it was over between them and left towards his house. On his way home,he stopped at the floral shop and ordered a bouquet of flowers for his wife. The sales girl asked him what to write on the card. He smiled and wrote, “I’ll carry you out every morning until death do us apart”. ******** My story was interrupted by Fafa, when he returned from the bathroom, “I hope you are not feeling bored here." I answered, "Not at all, dear . On the contrary, I am enjoying this story so much." "Okay, keep reading it then, but what will you like to eat?" "Anything," I said, determined to finish the story I was reading before he interrupted me. "Anything?" he asked. So if I cook Periplaneta americana for you , I believe you will eat it without any question." What did you just call ? I asked him. "Periplaneta americana" Fafa said. Periplane...WHAT? I asked. Fafa had totally confused me. Hahahaha, Fafa laughed until tears dropped from his eyes. "Abena, have I flummoxed you? I'm referring to cockroach. That's its scientific name," Fafa said. He continued, you see , the problem with most of you students of nowadays is, you don't like expanding your knowledge. You want to remain where you are thus must of you have a STOP- GO knowledge." So you are asking me if you can cook Cockroaches for me?" He said, "YES" We both laughed out loudly and I said, "No dear! I don't eat Cockroaches. Don't make my plica seminularis wet with tears. I was just joking." "Oh, my God, this guy is a walking encyclopedia." He continued, " then you need to be careful with what you say, so what can I cook for you?" "Jollof rice," I answered finally. "Okay, What about drinks?” “I will like to drink SmirnOff, "I told Fafa. The look on his face showed he didn't have SmirnOff in his fridge. "I will go get it for you because that's what you want, though I don't personally take anything with an alcoholic content " he said. Then he dressed up and left for the drink. In his absence, I contemplated on what Fafa said " So if I cook cockroach for you, I believe you will eat it without question." I never knew Fafa has a sense of humour to that extent. To me , he's a bookworm, a bibliophilic guy. I continued reading the story,” Fafa returned with the drink, feeling happy for his accomplishment. He said, "Here you are, Mademoiselle, I have gotten your drink.” I smiled at him and said, "merci mon amour" which means," thank you, my love." He responded, “De rien" ( translated it's nothing) He then went to the kitchen to prepare the Jollof rice for me. I offered to help him but he declined saying I was his guest so I should relax. I used that opportunity to continue the story. .." **** I couldn’t finish the story before Fafa returned with a bowl of Delicious Jollof rice and smirnOff drink. He set the table while I was still glued to the story book. I heard Fafa saying, "Abena, can you leave that story book for a second and eat your Jollof rice?" “Yes, sir,” I said, jokingly and put the story book down. I swallowed the food quickly because I wanted to finish the story. Fafa looked at me and smiled. He said, "I knew you want to hurry up and finish that story. I was thinking you are bibliophobic. I won’t allow you to read it again. I want us to talk a little bit and get acquainted. After all, you paid me a visit, not to read a story book or you want to be like me?" Fafa took the story book and went inside his bedroom to place it at a place beyond my reach but my desire to finish the story far outweighed any ethical restrictions so I followed him to the bedroom, knelt down and said, "I beg, Fafa, please, let me finish reading the story.” He looked at me and laughed hysterically saying, "I knew you will follow me. I just want to confirm what I knew and you have proven me right. Abena, I'm impressed with you and your spirit of determina tion. I think we can get among well. From now on, I accepted you wholeheartedly as my friend. Please, take the story book- it's my gift to you." “You mean I can take the story book home? “I asked him. "Yes, dear" he said. For the first time, Fafa called me ‘dear’. I peeped into his eyes. He was so innocent and calm but underneath his innocence was a ray of love, glimmering across his impeccable sacrosanct appearance. I could feel the wave of ecstasy slowly announcing its presence like a slithery snake manoeuvring its ways clandestinely through a crack. I was very optimistic the cracks in Fafa's Solid defence would soon be discernible to me. I took solace in the knowledge that Fafa is not gynophobic. I still have webs of doubts in my mind. "Will it happen on my first visit?" Fafa reached out, held my hands, and gently took me out of the bedroom into the sitting room. As if he had telepathic abilities he said, "Everything has an appropriate . That's why babies don't grow beards and adults don't take babys' foods. Now, continue reading your story. I opened to the page I was before he took the book from me and continued reading. **** That evening when Jack arrived home with flowers in his hands and a smile on his face, his wife wasn't in the sitting room. He called her but still no one answered. He decided to run up stairs. Upon reaching there, he found his wife in bed – lifeless, dead. Rivers of tears flood his eyes and the bouquet of flowers fell from his hands. His wife was dead- from Cancer. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save him from whatever negative reaction from their son, in case they push through with the divorce. At least, in the eyes of their son— he is a loving husband." --End of story-- *** “Oh God,” I said when I finished reading the story, Streams of tears stole their way into my eyes. I felt so sad. I felt I was Jennifer. She had demonstrated true uncondi tional, unwavering love. I asked myself what I could have done in that situation. **** (Disclaimer: The inside story "UNTIL DEATH DO US APART" is not from my creative imagination. It is a common story being told worldwide)

EPISODE 4 UNSPOKEN ATTRACTION I chatted with Fafa for a few hours. He told me a little about his family and I told him about my family too but omitted some of the things my dad had been saying against people from Fafa's tribe. I went home super excited. I took my diary and scribbled my experiences with Fafa down. The good book said, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs." "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." I was particularly interested in the last admonition "Above all else , guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." I had protected my hearts from predators and tricksters for many years. Now Fafa seemed to be the very definition of my life. He had made my heart vulnerable. I knew I had tacitly given the keys to the door of my heart to Fafa and I believed he will live up to the high standards he had set for himself. I was not unaware of my friends Jasmine and Grinnell and what happened to them when they chose to trust university boys, but Fafa isn't just any boy. Even if he was unreliable, It is a risk I decided to take. ** ~The following weeks~ My visit to Fafa's Place became a weekly routine. We became very good friends. I felt so happy whenever I saw Fafa. I hardly saw him at school because he was always busy doing one academic research or the other. During the SRC election, he was elected by a vote of about 85 %. He became the university President and a very good one at that. Fafa himself didn't opt to contest for the SRC election. It was the student body who decided to make him their President. He didn't even went for the vetting and he didn't do any campaigning. All he did was to wait and allow the Electoral Commission of the school to compile and collate the ballots and declare him as the winner of the presidential election in the University. I couldn't live a day without seeing him. Our friendship soon went deeper and deeper and eventually crossed the boundary of friendship into a relationship except for one thing; we didn't have sex. He said "NO" One lovely weekend, Fafa took me to the beach to catch a glimpse of the sheer force of nature. The picturesque landscape, the golden sands on the beach and the smiling sun as it descended beyond the horizon, was an amazing sight. The roaring of the sea welcome us to its sandy Kingdom, in anticipation of a possible romantic adventure. I wish the vicissitudes of our love had loosened Fafa's moral Anchor. When we sat down on the cool golden sand, we talked about the future and the prospect of living together as married couples. We sat on the beach chatting and laughing as we stared at the awe-inspiring force of nature. Fafa got up and put his hand out to help me up. When my hand grabbed Fafa's hand, a pleasurable sensation coursed through my body. We clung to each other as if there was no tomorrow. To me , my tomorrow was today and my today was tomorrow. Fafa looked into my eyes. I gave him a sensual smile and itched closer to him for a kiss. He was quite responsive. The proximity of our bodies increased the insatiable love we had for each other on the vast open angry beach.

EPISODE 5 ? ***EXPRESSION OF LOVE*** [ Fafa's Point Of View] ~On the Beach~ I had never felt this way ever since I was born. A lot of my course mates had mastered the game of love to the point of acquiring Ph.D. but I didn’t even have a basic school certificate( BECE ) in love. One thing remained vivid to me, I loved Abena so much. As I said Early on, I have never dated any lady before meeting Abena. She showed me the gateway to pure joy. She was one lady with a pure heart full of love. She pulled me closer to herself and kissed me. It was a light kiss filled with passion. My heart was racing fast and my breath came in gasp. I placed my free hand on her waist and as she pulled me towards herself. As we kissed we heard the angry waves crashing along the beach as if to signal its gigantic presence or perhaps tell us the number of countless romantic scenes they had witnessed on the same spot. Suddenly, we stopped kissing and just looked into each other’s eyes as if to reassure each other of the unflinching love we shared. I felt my heart and soul belonged to her. Hours seemed like seconds and I wished I had the power to stop time forever. I wanted to spend every micro-second with Abena. Abena looked at me and said, “Are you ok?” I shook my head. My body was visibly shaking. She moved her hands down onto my chest and felt my heart pounding . At that moment, an overwhelming feeling of excitement came over me like the rolling waves. The feelings were overwhelming. My mind was racing. I could not believe all these things were happening in real time. At that moment, I realised why most of my mates behaved irrationally when they fell in love. I heard some of my gynephilic friends who were dating said,” first love is the best experience one can have. I reflected on that statement and asked myself, “Is it true?. Come to think of it, is virginity a state of naïvety? I didn't know the exact answers to these questions but I vow to keep my virginity till the right time. Considering the way the force of love was magnetising me to Abena, I doubted if I could keep that vow till I say, “I do” Abena looked straight into my eyes and muttered the words to me in her melodious voice, "I love you, Fafa" Her words soothed my nerves. I was so excited. For a moment, I thought I was hallucinating. All these things looked like fairy tales. Then she repeated the words , "I love you, Fafa" That was the golden moment I was looking for. Gathering my courage and saying it in the most honest and candid manner, I asked her , "Will you marry me, Abena?" I want us to get married after graduation from School. You are the missing rib I have been looking for all these years. Now that I have found you, I felt very complete. I want to stay with you till death do us Apart." I wondered if I had said it right. The truth was I had never dated before, not to talk about sex. My father was a church elder and my mother a chorister. They took religion very seriously and trained us in that regard. I could hear my father's words echoing in my head " Son , always respect women. Don't take advantage of them. Love in the real world is not like those seen in the Telenovellas on Telly. Don't break any lady's heart. An angry woman is a weapon. You can't stand her. Reserve sex for marriage." I never doubted my father's words of admonishment. He was older than me and as a church elder, he was only performing his duty as a father and a church leader. Now, I doubted if his words were sacrosanct. Is moral chastity highly valued in the 21st century? Somehow I decided to stick to the older values my parents inculcated in me. I was a bit anxious about my proposal. "Have I said it right.?" I hoped I have. I was about to graduate from school and I would have more time then to learn about love. For now I'm not an afficionado of love. {Abena's Point Of View}? His phrase "till death do us Apart" reminded me of the story I read when I first paid him a visit. Did he really meant it? I was very happy with his proposal and I wasted no time in saying, "Yes, Fafa, I will marry you... In fact, in my heart, I’m already married to you.You are the very definition of my life. Without you, my life has no definition, no meaning, no purpose. He was stunned at the unequivocal manner in which I responded to his proposal. Then he shocked me by bringing out a promissory ring, kneeling on the bed of sand, and saying, “Abena my love, will you be the love of my life from now on till we traverse this mortal world into the world of immortality? Will you fit in the rib which have been missing from my body for the past 21 years ? Will you embark on this limitless odyssey of love with me, taking the role of the mother of my unborn children? Will you die with me in the name of Love? With teary eyes, I said, “Yes, I will”. The waves seemed to hear my verbal declaration and confirmation of our unblemished love. They clapped their hands in glee, being evidenced by the trememdous power with which they rolled. Fafa slipped the promissory ring on my middle finger, the one between the index finger and the ring finger to the right. When Fafa gave me a promissory ring, it unearthed the hot ecstasy which remained caged in me for decades now. I thought it was time to let it out to him as a validation for my unwavering love for him. I imagined how love-making on the bed of sand on the sea coast, at the full glare of the happy waves, devoid of all other living things except Fafa and me would be. It would surely be magnificent. I imagined a world without the gift of love- it would be a boring and lassitudinous place. I agreed with Aristotle when he said, "Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. My high expectation for a romance packed adventure on the beach never materialised. Fafa only said,” it’s time to go home. Remember, everything has an appropriate time that's why babies don't grow beards and adults don't eat babys' food. He held me by the hand as I reluctantly followed him, all my fantasies remaining only in the secret recesses of my heart. The one who wrote that instruction in the bible that sex before marriage is a sin might have been an Eunuch because that law seemed impracticable among us the 21st century teenagers who burned with lust from the cradle of our births to the grave of our deaths. Today, sex is seen as a fun game and most adolescents broke their virginity on the shameless altar of lust in a century which liberalised and idolised sex. Don’t feel guilty; I’m not a saint either. Had Fafa made the move, I would have given him a romance filled experience on the vast open beach which only the sea and sands would be witnesses to.One thing is clear here, dating a “chrife” (a sexually naïve person) is not easy at all. ~At Home~ At home, I remembered Fafa’s proposal. I was smiling to myself when my father's words echoed through my brain, " I don't want to see you with Ewe guys. They are very wicked people. " Suddenly my joy was replaced with a great trepidation. I knew Fafa was a good guy but his tribe and what my parents' reaction would be sent cold shivers down my spine. I moved towards my bed but saw myself wobbling in the web of fear. I was gloomy because my father had vowed never to allow any of his two daughters or son to marry an Ewe Man or Woman. He always echoed it in our heads day in, day out and I knew his prejudice will never allow him to see Fafa from an objective view point. To him, if you are an Ewe, you are disqualified from the potential suitor race for his daughters, even if you were God-sent. Alas, love had no boundary. I have fallen madly in love with an Ewe Boy and to me, it’s irrevocable, because a revocation of my relationship with Fafa will tantamount to a betrayal of his love. In order to keep my relationship a secret from my father, I made my friend Afua promise never to let any of my relatives know about my secret love let one my father. She agreed to keep our secret watertight. As the days went by, my love for Fafa grew Stronger and stronger and I knew it would only be a matter of time before I would be caught by my dad. ~The exam and After ~ We knew the exam will be tough so we decided to put our loveship on hold and learn very hard in order to pass our Final Examination. Indeed we never met to chat or laugh during the examination era. It was book, book and book. It got into my heard. I hate schooling. Often, the information we memorize from books is soon forgotten after exam. School isn't creative enough; there is often only one way of doing things for assignments. It reminded me of Prince Aa's inspirational video " What is school for? In his controversial youtube video entitled, "BEFORE YOU GO TO SCHOOL, WATCH THIS || WHAT IS SCHOOL FOR?" he spoke about the degrading education system. Nevertheless, I need to pass my exams and there was no magic formula than learn. After a lot of learning and burning of the midnight candle, Fafa and I came out with flying colours in the Final Exam. Fafa, as expected was crowned the overall- best- student -of -the -year. My parents were very happy and proud of me for chalking such a great success especially my father. He was very excited I completed school such amazing grades. He was unaware of the fact that my result was influenced by the academic god who compelled me to rigorous leaning routine. My father had decided to celebrate my Graduation in grand style. It was grandiose, marked with a lot of flamboyance. Since I did Business Adminis tration, they promised to support me do my M. Phil in Business Administration to become an Administrative service Manager, a career I always dreamt of. The roadmap to my profession looked very clear to me. The following week, Fafa applied for a scholarship to study medicine abroad.

This same thing has happened to me many times.. The father of my ex-fiancee then said over his dead body will his daughter marry an igala guy because igala men are always drunkards, wifebeaters and full of jazz, even my fellow igala ladies do advice their friends nt to marry their brother or an igala man because of some godforsaken stereotype, others because of ethnocentrism ..this is how racism starts, R. EPISODE 6 ** Read with Discretion:Romantic Scenes.♂♀️ ** TWINKLES OF HOPE With all these good fortunes shining on Fafa and I, it was not surprising that we decided to get married. All marriage Arrangements were made and the people that mattered were consulted. The tone was set for an exciting wedding. At 8.00 a.m, the Love Economy church was full to capacity and everyone was impatiently waiting for the wedding ceremony to begin. *** Even before the commencement of the wedding ceremony ,I couldn't help but imagined how our love-making will be. In my mind , I fantasized how it would all begin. Fafa would kiss me on my lips. I would be fired up. He would then take me upstairs amidst my giggles. I would notice his phallus and be a little Phallophobic. Then he would lift me up. I would wrap my legs around him and my arms will go round his neck. I would bounce my hips back and forth. He would place me on the bed and hit my Sensitive spot. I will moan. We will switch position .Then I would rock him hard until we both reach our climax and moaned joyfully. When the excitement died down he would lay me on my back again and held my legs open as he....? "Let's begin by sharing the word of God on marriage." The pastor interrupted my chain of sensual thought. "Ahhh! This pastor is a killjoy. The officiating Pastor began his sermon. --In Matthew 19: 4-6, Jesus said that "at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one." Jesus then added "Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate." Fellow believers, marriage is a sacred union. Today we are here to unite our son and daughter today in holy matrimony....." It was a solemn moment when the pastor invited us to move towards the altar for the vows. ~Time for vows~ Fafa and I stood before the pastor , He said, "Fellow Belovers, we are gathered here today, to celebrate the joining together of Fafa Amenyaglo and Abena Yeboah. Let's remember that Marriage is a time where two people share their love before God and men. Now between the two of you, is there any reason why you should not be joined together in Holy matrimony? We both answered, "No." The pastor continued,"Fafa, say this after me, then, I do somenly declare that I know not, of any lawful impediment, why I ,Fafa, should not be joined in marriage to Abena. The pastor made me repeat the same thing. We were made to face each other and as we were looking into each others eyes, the pastor asked Fafa to repeat the words he would be saying to me. He said "I call upon these persons here present, to witness that I , Fafa, take you Abena , to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold.I pledge to love you and respect you, With all that I have and ever hope to be. I will protect you and provide for you , honour and be faithful to you, in poverty and in abundance, sickness and in health. Till death separate us, I give you this promise. I was made to repeat the same vows. - After the Wedding--- We drove to the Blue Virgin Hotel to start swiving. Now the wedding was over. It's time for sex. My mind couldn't stop thinking about the sex battle that will soon manifest between us. Fafa unzipped my wedding gown. I was quite nervous. Everything was new between Fafa and I because we have not practice sex before marriage. Undressing in front of him was quite uncomforta ble. I felt like a virgin but my Ex took it away from me. My heart was racing. A few minutes later, I felt okay being naked in front of him. I loved his body, and his chest and arms felt strong and warm as he held me. I’d dropped a few kilos leading up to the wedding, and had a wax, facial, haircut, manicure and pedicure – all of which made me feel extra beautiful. We got into our luxurious double shower to freshen up, and as we stood there under the steaming water exploring each other’s bodies, I took the lead. After our shower, he led me to the bed, guiding me down beside him while kissing me. It felt incredible. He was tender and gentle. He gazed into my eyes. His hands moved over my breasts, my stomach, my thighs, moving gradually lower until he caressed my " Sensitive feminine thing ." Fafa allowed me to set the pace. I loved the smell of his body, the taste of his mouth and the warmth and weight of him on me. He continued to caress my whole body, planting kisses on my neck, mouth and breasts. I held nothing back from him. Every sensation was spine-tinglingly intense. Out of Shyness,I turned off the light. In the darkness, I directed him to my "chamber" "Raise your finger up a bit…. No here..." Finally , he found his way into the "promised land." I grabbed him tightly. “Continue Fafa, continue. Don’t stop. It was quite painful at first because It has been a long time since I did it. We made love again and again. It was soothing and mind blowing. His tightened grip on me enthralled me to an unexplainable ecstasy I had never experienced before. As he climaxed in me, he held me tight to himself. Afterwards, to Fafa's bewilder ment, I started crying and had to assure him that my tears were tears of joy. – I was just over whelmed with joy. There had been such a build-up to my wedding night; this was the moment I was looking forward to. I was so grateful that he had done the same for me. We became more relaxed and comfortable with each other after the sex. My wedding night was a glorious night. The next morning, I heard a knock on my door which was incessant. I went and opened the door and there he was. My father. He was holding a gun. " Abena, you have broken my heart by defying my orders. I told you not to marry an Ewe man but you went ahead and got married to him." "But Dad, I love him" "Shut up! You are no longer my daughter, "My father said. My father searched the whole room but couldn't find Fafa. "Where is that idiot husband of yours," he fumed. "I won't show you his location," I said stubbornly. "Are you ready to die for him,?"he asked. "Yes, dad, I'm ready." My dad looked at me and smiled wickedly. He removed a gun from his pocket and said," then DIE." He pointed the gun at me and pulled the Trigger!! BANG!!!BANG!!! I screamed and woke up only to realise it was all a dream, from the wedding to the honeymoon was all one big sweet dream. ?? *** “Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.” – Ashley Smith ***

EPISODE 7 **BETRAYAL ** { Third person’s Point of view} Be careful with those who smiles with you. People whom you thought were your friends may be your secret enemies or fake friends in disguise. Fake friends show their true colours when they don't need you anymore or want what you have. They don’t keep their promises to you. They talk behind your back and your worst enemies are their best friends. Afua had been Abena's friend since their Senior High school and they met again at the University. They even stayed in the same area. Fafa come from Sogakope but he decided to remain close to his love one so he rented an apartment just in the same vicinity. Unknown to Abena, Afua had become Jealous of her relationship with Fafa. Her Jealousy started quite subtly the first time Abena and Fafa chatted when they were taking a stroll that evening due to boredom but she didn't really pay much attention to it. One weeks to the graduation ceremony, Afua's boyfriend Evans broke her heart. She caught him bonking her friend Ama and that had resulted into their break-up and a serious Feud between her and Ama. It even resulted into a fierce fight with both girls fighting like mad people and hurting each other, pulling each others hair and all those girlish things ladies do when they are angry. Afua really loved Evans. She felt heartbroken. Taking her pen,she wrote down her feeling in a poem form. *** I feel so empty; all colors are dull. I can barely breathe on my own. The light is gone and darkness is back. Cover me in endless black, my heart broken on the floor. I cry sometimes still watching the door. I need you here; can't you see? It's obvious, you complete me. So gentle you were; then came the pain. You left me with nothing but shame. I lay in bed and cry all night, praying for things to be all right. I wish you happiness, never pain. For everything, I'm to blame. Remember me forevermore, all the memories you ripped and tore. Please don't erase me from your brain. My heart will never be the same. Don't remove me from your heart. I knew I loved you from the start. Out of all things, I'll miss your lips, also the touch of your fingertips. *** It is said that "Love is a feeling that cannot be quantified, so it cannot be grasped." It was this uncertainty that made love risky and adventurous. Afua was home one day nursing her pain when Abena came to Her, telling her how excited she was , how Fafa took her to a beach and proposed to her to the point of giving her a promissory ring. Afua feigned she was happy for her but deep within her, she was crying, crying because her own relationship had hit the rock. Seeing Fafa's promissory ring on her friend's middle finger made her very jealous and the desire to take her friend's position entered into her head. She asked Abena the secret behind their strong love. Fafa said, "People always want perfect love, but no one is perfect. So don't expect too much, don't try to change the person you love to be the perfect person you want him to be. Love is looking at the strengths of the one you love and accepting their weaknesses too. Love is caring, sharing with each other the joys and sorrows, even though small in life. "You sounded like a marriage counsellor, "Afua said. "Hahaha,"Abena laughed. Abena left Afua's place , forgetting the diary she carried along. When Afua chanced on the diary , she decided to read its content. The more she read the diary, the more she got jealous. She came across one of the powerful love poems written by Abena with the Title " FAFA,MY LIFE" It reads; Fafa,You are the true definition of my life. You touch my life with hope and joy. You do not only define my life but you redefined my true existence. You are my icon of hope and rainbow of promise. You are the ever blazing sunshine that light my day. You are the gravity that holds me down in a safe haven when problems seemed to lift me up. You are the moon that shimmers throughout my night. You are stars that twinkle oh so bright. You are the oxygen that keeps me alive. You are the heart that beats inside me. You are the blood that flows relentedly through my veins. You are the only guy I can see. The rest are meaningless to me. You have the voice of a cherrub. You are my everything. You are my one and only. You stop me from being so lonely. We plan our future as if we have a clue of what it holds for us. I never want to lose you. I want you to be my husband, and I want to be your wife. I want to be with you for the rest of my life even into the abyss of death. *** Afua copied the poem before sending the diary back to Abena. That evening, she couldn't sleep. She was thinking of Fafa. She blamed herself for not making the first move but she knew she couldn't possibly made the first move because she was then so much in love with Evans. Now the story has changed. She decided to seduce Fafa. Afterall,he was even more handsome and , intelligent than Evans, in addition to being a humble guy who was seen as a national Hero, an academic icon. She began her seduction sequence by cooking and sending the food to him, then she visited him at odd times, she feigned sickness and asked him to come and see her, she wore provocative dresses to draw his attention to her curves. Dresses like bare-back, show- your- stomach, I- am-aware. Unfortunately, she was not too natu rally endowed with beauty and body curves she wanted to flaunt. The dresses did nothing to accentuate her physique enough to draw Fafa's attention. Even if they were, she could have failed because Fafa was not the type of guy to be seduced by merely looking at a girl's physical appearance. Realising that tactics was not working, she turned to Christianity because she realised Fafa was a staunch Christian. She became a by-forced born again Christian, attending series of church programmes, all nights, prayers, conventions, healings, even joining the choir to sing just to impress Fafa. All her efforts came to a stone end. It was a complete Fiasco. Fafa remained disenchanted by her so- called newly found religious charades. Then She tried to bad-mouthed Abena to Fafa by telling lies that Abena was a flirt. She claimed Fafa had chains of abortions, then she had epilepsy, then she was cursed by her grandmother. Then she didn’t truly love him, then her father hated Ewes. At least, the last statement was true. Abena’s Father abhorred Ewes but her intention for telling Fafa about it was not to warn him but to dissuade him from dating Abena, her friend. Trust; The foundation for relationships takes years to build but seconds to destroy. Throughout life, a person gives ones trust to the people she cares about but any Betrayal or act of disloyalty can destroy or break that mutual trust . It will all come crumbling down. Afua realised seducing Fafa would be almost impossible. Seeing that she couldn’t break the robust bond of love between the Fafa and Abena, she decided to break the oath she had sworn to Abena and leaked the secret of Abena's love affair with Fafa to her Father. A best friend is the person you rely on the most. She’s someone you would trust with your life, your secrets, and your emotions. You slowly let her into your heart and the trust accumulates over time. A bond is formed over those secrets, a friendship that will last. No longer is anything off limits, and if that person ever needs to talk, someone will be there. One moment can change it all. The person you thought was your confidant turns out to be a backstabber. All of the secrets and shared emotions are turned around and used against you. Your weaknesses are played until you break down and are slowly torn to pieces. Finally, the person is seen for who she truly is. Afua went to Abena's house at a time she was sure Abena had gone our to see Fafa. She met Abena's Siblings and told them to call their Father for her. Upon seeing him, she said, " Good Afternoon Sir" I'm Afua, Abena's friend. "Yea, I know you very well," Abena's Father said. "Ok." "Abena is not at home at the moment. She said she was going to see a friend. I almost thought she came to you," her father said. Abena said, "uhmm.Errrrm, actually, Sir, That's why I'm here. Abena's Father was all attentive. "Sir, Abena has been lying to you all this time. She has gone to see her..... "Her WHAT!!?" said Joe. ...her boyfriend, Fafa, an Ewe boy who was famous in the University for his exceptional academic prowess..." Abena's Father Joe began to boil inside while Afua smiled. When you entrust someone with your secrets, you are relying on her to honor them. But when they reveal their true colours, what do you have left? All that’s left are feelings of hurt, questioning where you went wrong.Suddenly, a friendship is over. *** He that has eyes to see and ears to hear may convince himself that no mortal can keep a secret. EPISODE 8? ** FATHER'S ANGER** {Abena's POV} I returned from Fafa's place feeling happy and fulfill. It was as if I have returned from heaven. "Sister Abena, your friend came here," said Yaba. "Who?" "Your Friend Afua. She came to see dad, "she continued. I became sober and turned to my younger brother," is it true?" Kweku nodded. Then he added , "daddy was angry when she finished talking to him." My heart skipped a bit. Which business was Afua doing with my father? That evening ,I was preparing dinner when I heard an angry, manly voice calling out my name," Abena !Abena!!Abena!!!!,Where the hell are you!!!? I rushed out to meet my father. "You miscreant!!!, You are dating an Ewe boy called Fafa. I warned you repeatedly against people from that tribe. They are backward and narrow minded tribe." Before I could open my mouth, he gave me a hot slap that felt like a thunderbolt. "Oh, No, “Daddy had finally become aware of my relationship with Fafa, the Ewe boy.Afua had betrayed me." A good friend always safeguard her friend's secret. Afua surely wasn't one of them. She was a bad friend who pretended to have my interest at heart. I'd rather have an enemy who admits they hate me, instead of a friend who secretly pull me down. From that point on, Afua became my enemy. My dad again gave me a strong warning never to see Fafa again despite all that I said to convince him about my love for him. He shouted, "If I ever see you with that Ewe boy again, I would not hesitate to kill you both. Upon all the good men in this world, is it only an Ewe man that you have to love?" "But are Ewe men not also men, what is wrong with dating them?" I asked. "Shut up, you moron. Don't question me, “he shouted at me and left. ~The next day ~ I told Fafa about the incident and he decided to take the bull by the horns to see my dad. I made him aware of the consequences. Me: I don't think seeing my father now is a good idea. Fafa: Why? Me: He's a quick tempered and aggressive man. Fafa: So what do you expect me to do. Coil into my shelve? Me: I wish I have a very good answer to your question. Fafa: If wishes were horses, beggars will ride. Me: Hmmm. I have a bad feeling about this. Fafa: My dear, we can't be doing hide-and-seek everyday. Me: I know but it doesn't mean we shouldn't be careful too. Fafa: I have no other option. I need to talk to him. Me: I can't believe Afua can betray me like this. Fafa: Trust is a treasure that only stays with men of integrity. Give it to the unscrupulous ones and they will throw it right into your face. I'm sorry Afua chose to betray you. Me: But why did she do that? I'm sure she has a reason. Fafa: Of course she has. Me: Why, Do you have any idea ? Fafa: I should think so. Me: Tell me. Fafa: It's simple. She tried to seduce me and ..... Me: Really? Fafa: Yea. Me: But you didn't tell me that she.. Fafa: I don't want you to feel hurt. Me: Hmmm. It's painful. Fafa: Every Betrayal is painful. Desperation is the fuel that sparks betrayal. When Afua realised she was going to fail in her seduction attempt, she became quite desperate and saw betrayal as the last resort. Me: She promised to keep our relationship a secret. Fafa: Yea. She did but she couldn't keep the promise. Just accept the fact. Afua had betrayed You Me: It's hard to believe that a person I call friend could stab me in the back. We eat and laughed together way back in school. I never doubted her integrity. Fafa: Hmmm. It is in the moment of adversity that the waters of truth wash away the fake colours of the enemy and present you with the colour of their true identity. Me: You sounded very philoso phical. Fafa: I didn't realise that. Me: I know. That's what reading too much does to your mind. Fafa: Reading does more than that. It gives you the power of know ledge and knowledge can multiply your existence and with the power of knowledge, you impact the world. Me: I'm proud of you dear. I'm sure God has specifically designed you on Earth because he knew you will be the only one who can fully complement me. Without you on Earth, it's possible I will remain a spinster. Fafa: Wow. That's so romantic. You are fast becoming a poet. Me: Really? Fafa : Yes. I saw the love poem you wrote in your Diary. Remember, you brought the diary with you here. I observe you always carry it with you. When you went to the washroom, the diary fell from the table and opened before hitting the ground. I picked the diary from the ground and my eyes landed on the love poem. Me:Oh, God. I never know you chanced on that poem. Fafa: Well. Now, you know. Me: Anyway, do you still want to come and see my father? Fafa: Yes, Fafa, and it's non- negotiable. Me: Yooo. I hear. ~One week later~ I was at home watching "Talented Kids" on TV3. It was a TV program me on where children were given the opportunity to exhibit their God-given talent. I heard the sound of our gate. I knew someone had entered the house so I peeped through the window. My father was in his lazy chair outside, on the veranda adjacent to my room. Fafa moved closer to my father and greeted him politely but my father ignored his greeting. "Sir, I'm here to see_____" “STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER! YOU SCALLYWAG." WICKED PEOPLE, JUJU MEN!!!! My dad drove him out of the house with a stern warning just as I had anticipated he would. For about two weeks, I didn't hear from my lover . I became disturbed by this development and decided to pay him a visit. After all, if the mountain would not come to Mohammed, Mohammed would have to go to the mountain . I went to Fafa's house and was stunned to see a young brown- skinned lady in his room laughing meekly with him. My heart sank and jealousy crept into my heart. "So this is what you are busy doing, frolicking around with ladies? I thought you are different but it’s obvious all Ewe men are the same, a band of cheats who chase anything in skirt, "I said angrily. I turned to the young lady and said “You boyfriend snatcher, who are you and what do you want with my boyfriend? “She looked surprised at my angry utterances. Fafa said, “Abena, you don't need to worry about Adzo, she is my......" "Sister?“ I cut in. "liar, I know it. Since when did you have a sister?" Maybe my dad’s admonition about you is true after all. Without waiting for further explanation, I pounced on the young lady and began hitting her with blows but she proved stronger and defended herself, the result of which earned me a sore eye. Had Fafa not intervene in time, She would have hurt me more. Unreasonable jealousy is a betrayed of trust. As it turned out, I later found out that Adzo was Fafa's Cousin but she was staying in Aflao and only came to visit him when she heard Fafa had won the scholarship he had applied for to offer a specialist course in medicine in Britain. I felt greatly embarrassed and I apologized to Adzo for my irrational behaviour. "It's okay, dear, what you did showed how deeply you love my cousin and I really admire your courage to fight for what you valued, "Adzo said. She left the same day. I spent the night in Fafa’s room till day break just to test him one more time. Fafa didn’t make a single attempt to even touch my fingers, let alone touch my private parts to even talk about sex. "Umhuuu" It didn't happened." From that point on, I vowed in my heart that I would never marry any other man except Fafa even if it meant my death . It's either him or no one else. My Father must understand this was a matter of the heart. Prior to coming to the University, I listened to my father’s advice not to date an Ewe Boy. He recommended a certain Fante boy for me. His name was Frimpong Kwame. Being an obedient child, I decided to give him a chance. The moment I went out with him, I knew he would be a bad boy but my father seemed to trust him. He ended up taking away my pride as a virgin and tore my heart to shred by dating another girl. Since then, I decided never to allow my father influence my choice of marriage partner. Fafa was a gem of a man who never asked me for sex . I vowed I will never leave him. Yes, Not even the cold face of death could made me change my mind. The following week, my vows were tested.

EPISODE 9 VIOLENT ENCOUNTER {Abena’s Point Of View} The following week, Fafa attempted to convince my father again to allow him marry me. He wanted to perform the traditional marriage rites before travelling to Britain to offer a specialist course in Medicine at the University of Exeter on a Scholarship. As if my father was anticipating his return, My father rushed into his room, opened one of his old lockers and brought out an old pistol, and prepared the gun for firing the moment he entered the house. At that point Hell broke loose in the house. I blocked the entrance of my father's room to prevent him from coming out of the room and making use of his gun but he pushed me away like an unwanted animal and advanced towards his target. His intention was evil. I tried all that I could to pull him away from the entrance of the door .He got angry and gave me two quick slaps on my face. I tried again to push him off the door but I couldn't overcome his strength even at the age of fifty-Five. My last resort was to shout to Fafa to retreat and that was exactly what I did. I shouted, “Fafa, Runnnnn!. Fafaaa! Run!!!! Run!!, Run for your life!!!!! Fafa heard my voice in the distance. He sensed the danger and began running speedily towards the entrance of gate and then he fell down. He picked himself quickly from the ground and run towards the gate. My father aimed the gun at him and pulled the trigger. He missed by an inch. My heart missed a little. That bullet could have killed him. He was almost at the gate. Just a few more paces and he would be out. I prayed he would exit the gate before my father attempted another shot. To frustrate my father's attempt, I pounced on him again and once again, he managed to throw me off. I crashed to the ground crying. "Father, Plsssss! Don't kill him. He's my life...." My father ignored me and shot again just when it was left with a few inches for him to fully leave the compound. The bullet hit Fafa at the gate.He fell on the ground to the ground without an "Awwww." Fafa's blood began to drip from a spot in her back. He convulsed and twitched in agony in his painful throes as his life ebb out of him. I felt excruciating pain through out my body as if I was the one hit by the bullet. Seeing the young man who represent the very definition of pure, unblemished love to me, a young man who stole my heart through no fault of his , lying on the ground motionless, my vision blurred. In the distance, I could hear the faint wailing of an Ambulance. Unable to withstand the murder of my lover before my very eyes, my heart stopped functioning for a second and I collapsed on the bare ground. ***** [Third Person's Point Of View] Abena's Father, Joe Atoapem Yeboah's anger was an inherited trait, from his own father. He was the second born of his Father's First wife. His oldest brother Kwabena was adventurous but not quick- tempered. His father, Bedíàkṍ could do anything to anyone if he was angry. Whenever he was angry,he was seen breaking glasses and gadgets In the absence of people to hurt. His anger would only subside after he must have destroyed something or seen blood. In his fit of anger, he could kill even a babe. When he was alive, his daughter became pregnant under his roof. Upon further interrogation, he learnt that his daughter was impregnated by his own friend Kobe. He invited him to his house. When his friend arrives, he asked him why he had put his daughter in the family way. His friend Kobe said his daughter Gianna, aka Gigi was the one who seduced him. "You mean this small girl of barely 17 years old seduced a full grown man like you 47 years? He was so angry with him that he used a hot knife to cut his friend's male organ. His friend Kobe bled until he died. On another occasion, he caught a man stealing his farm produce. He arrested the man and tied him to a mango tree for 3 days without food and water. On the third day, his anger was not pacified so he set the man ablaze while he was hanging on the mango tree. He died screaming and wallowing in pain. The third incident happened between him and his first son. He stole his money and went to play lottery with it. When he realised the theft, he asked his four children ( two boys and two girls) if they had taken the money but all of them denied it. Later, he heard his oldest son Kwabena talking to someone on phone if he had won the lottery he played. The man asked him how much he used to play the lottery and he called the amount. Unfortunately he didn't win. His father suddenly materialised and slapped him on face saying,"So you are the one who stole my money." Before he could deny it again, he beat him until he went into comma for three days. Bedíàkṍ was that popular and very well known for his anger and wickedness but no one was bigger than death. He died one fateful morning on his bed. As would be expected, the news of his tragic demise, was not heart breaking, or devastating or painful to anyone, not even to his wives Yaa and Afia. On the contrary, everyone was intrinsicly happy. But why did Joe hate the Ewes. It wasn't just because of mere cultural stereotype. His hatred was stemmed in a disappointed love affair and a secret issue from that love. Joe hated the Ewes because his first girlfriend, Sitsofe, an Ewe, broke his heart after he showed her unconditional love, even sustaining serious injuries in an accident when he was paying her visit. She never turned up when he was hospitalized. One month after his recuperation, he paid her a visit only to see her on the lap of another man with her legs spread out as he faced the man who was cuddling her. In a fit of anger, he gave her two quick slaps in succession. Amedeka reacted by attacking him.It became a full fight in her room. Joe's adrenaline level had risen. He fought aggressively with his enemy. Sitsofe's heart was thumping very fast and her knees went weak. She palpitated. The sound of her heart became louder and louder.Fear sent cold shivers down her spine as she watched the two men fought themselves in a mortal combat. The two men struggled aggres sively with each other, smashing things here and there.  At one point, Joe will throw Amedeka to the ground and hit him with series of blows without mercy. At another point, Amedeka over turned the situation by pulling Joe to the ground and raining blows on him too. It was a closely fought fight and Sitsofe became a spectator. Muscles crunched as the tussle became difficult to break. Then Joe gave Amedeka an uppercut , just in time to dodge a vicious blow from him. In retaliation, Amedeka connected his hardened fist to Joe’s ribs. He let out a cry of agony and aggres sively used his elbow to jab Amedeka’s chest. It was at that point that Joe realised he had bargain more than he could chew. He had surely undermined Amedeka’s strength. He realised Amedeka was stronger than he had initially thought. Then he turned on his most aggressive mood. Afterall, he was being enlisted in the armed forces and must show this guy the stuff he was made of. He pounced on Amedeka once again. Amedeka attempted to flipped him off but failed. Amedeka saw himself rather flying in the air, smashing on the edge of the couch. With one decisive uppercut, Joe caught him on the cheekbone. Blood gushed put of Amedeka's mouth and nose. As he was about to launched another attack on Amedeka who was obviously exhausted and tired now, a group of men step in , held him and sent him out of the room. Amedeka laid by the couch, obviously beaten by Joe. Aw! !! God, I’m sorry Amedeka," Sitsofe told her new lover. She, rushed to his side, lift him up onto the couch and checked his bruised face and arms. When Joe turned and saw Sitsofe with the beaten Amedeka again, his anger boiled to 100 °C. The flame of anger in him burned. He broke from the men holding him , rushed on Amedeka.Sitsofe blocked his way. He smacked her to the ground and she collapse instantly. After beating the exhausted Amedeka to a pulp, he went home. On his way home, he remembered the poem " THE LOVE IS BROKEN" The love is broken  My heart is broken Into many pieces  Not easy to mend  How can I collect the broken pieces  You broke my heart  The fragments of the broken pieces will surely hurt you I hate you so much  The hatred I have for you now is immeasurable  The love is broken  My heart is broken into unmendable pieces  Pieces that cannot be glued together  My love for you now has changed into hatred  The love had flown away  Leaving me in pain, pain, pain.  Joe slept that evening an angry man, a man who felt betrayed by the very lady he valued so much in life. He kept asking himself, " where have I gone wrong? " It was a rhetorical question, there was no answer to that question. Sitsofe eventually got married to the the Ewe man, Amedeka amidst heavy security because she feared Joe will pop up during the ceremony and make the make the place higgledy-piggledy. The real reason Sitsofe left Joe was his uncontrolled anger and tantrums. Since then Joe saw every Ewe man as his enemy and vowed he would have nothing to do with Ewes and he never ever let go of that stereo typic mindset. To him anything tag "EWE" is evil . To compound the problem Sitsofe told him something about Fafa that he didn't believe or chose not to due to his hatred for Ewes.

**clears throat**This is deep.. I really dont know why girls always desire something that belongs to their friend even if they had sth better.. Afua really did bad seriously and true to what Abena said an open enemy is better than a wicked friend planning behinds one's back.. Anger is seriously bad, and that was the source of Joe's problems nt the EWE people, how do you you expect the gal to cope when u shout and thro tantrums at every single tin she does, she was scared u would kil her 1 day, and its obvious he couldnt let go of his past his hatred is to deep for my liking.. He is actualy worst than ewe people and the great fafa would be doing you a favour marrying your daughter.. The story is really emotional and looks indeptly to what mst of us face when we want to get married as a resul of some barbaric cultures and stereotypes.. Next please *sips wine*

EPISODE 1O VENGEANCE IS MINE!!! [Abena’s Point of view] I later opened my eyes to see myself on my bed. I didn't know how I got there. Then I turned round and saw my mother. I affectionately called her Maamè Serwaa. In a corner nearby was my father. The look on my parent's faces made me remembered what had happened. The first words that came out of my mouth were, “Fafa! Fafa!! Fafa!!! "Where are you?" Oh Fafa, My Love!, Please come back to me!! My father stared at me wordlessly. My heart was filled with anger when I saw him because he had taken my lifeline, my soul mate - my heart, My love away from me. He tried to make amends by saying, "Abena, Please, I am very sorry for what happened.I only wanted to protect you. Fafa was not a bad guy but you CAN'T marry him. Now let me tell you why you can't marry Fafa." He told me his bitter love story with Sitsofe and why he hated Ewe men. He also said Sitsofe told him something about Fafa but he wasn't really sure of it and needed to investigate it properly. He however advised me in the strongest of terms that Fafa could not be my future husband. "I'm sorry Abena, but I need you to understand you can't marry Fafa for those two reasons I told you about." All that he said did nothing to lessen my bitter hatred for him. I blurted out my anger on him, "How could you be so heartless? Why? Daddy, why? You have successfully taken my happiness, my heart, soul and my love from me. "I'm sorry Fafa is dead" he said. "Your apologies will not bring back my boyfriend" I said. I knew if my father was arrested, he will later be released on bail. I knew how the Ghanaian justice system works. My father just need a good lawyer and being an ex- soldier gave him an additional advantage. The more I saw my father, the more my bitterness for him grew to the point that I stopped seeing him as my father. To me, my father was my arc enemy. My hot anger soon transformed into vengeance. My love for Fafa was stronger than the biological bond I shared with my Father. ~6 hours later ~ I knew the genesis of all these problems began when Afua chose to betray me by leaking my secret relationship with Fafa. That night, I went to Afua's house and knocked on her door. She was happily watching Telly. I could hear hear laughing meekly in her room. She was there with a man. That realisation fuelled my anger. After betraying me, she had gotten a lover for herself. She came out and saw me. When she saw me, her counte nance changed. "What do you want here , Abena?" "I want you!” "Why?" "Because you betrayed our friend ship. "I'm Sorry, Abena” Afua apologized. "Your apology will not bring back my lover?" I said. "I don't know your father will be very temperamental when I told him about Fafa and you," she said. "Are friends not supposed to keep each other's secret, why do you leak my secret to my father in the first place? " I asked. "Look, Abena, it's ..." "Shut up, Afua." I shouted.” Traitors like you don’t deserve to be alive. Today is your judgement day. I hereby declare you guilty by my own law.” You are not____" I removed my knife and stabbed Afua on through her chest. She fell to the ground, twitched, and began convulsing. "It serves you right, you brought this upon yourself the day you chose to break our friendship code," I said. "Afua,Afua!!, Afuaaaa, Are you Alright?" Her boyfriend called her from inside the room. I left quickly before he came out and started screaming like a mad dog. I went home that night just in time to see my father beating my mother. He beat her to such an extent that she couldn't cry anymore. Intuitively, I knew the root cause of their problem had to do with my boyfriend-Fafa. Without uttering any word, I entered my room and locked the door. ●~12:30 a.m~● That fateful night, I slowly crept into my father's room. He was sleeping soundly as if everything was all right. Afraid that I would change my mind, I looked at my father's sleeping body. This man was my father but he had become my enemy the very day he eliminated my source of joy just because of his egoistic and stereotypic tendencies. I won't allow him to hide under the cover of the law and go scot-free. I repeated the “mantraic” words I said before stabbing Afua with a knife,” Today is your Judgement day, Father, I hereby declare you guilty by my own law.” Quickly, I plunged the sharpened knife I took from my mother's kitchen into his stomach with all my strength. He opened his eyes, shocked to see me. He looked from the knife to me and back again. He let out a violent choking sound. The struck area was wounded and oozing with dark red blood. He tried to stand up but his body swayed and he hit the ground gasping for air. My father's blood dripped from the edges of the sharpened knife I plunged into his stomach. He muffled out the words "Ab...Abe..Abena..." He pulled out the knife but his pull was weak and he found himself swiming in a sea of blood. His lips moved weakly and his eyes blink erratically in pain. To Abena's amazement, he struggled and took his gun from under the bed where he had fallen. Abena dived and yanked the gun from his weak hand. He gasped in exasperation and said, "Y-YOU..WILL...H-HAVE...A BIT....BII..BITTER LOVE," he cursed me. I was annoyed at his intransigence. I pointed the gun at him and shot him. He shrieked loudly and writhed in his death throes. I stood by his lifeless body saying, “in your next life, let go of your prejudice against Ewe men and lies about being related to Fafa. Let this serve as a lesson to you. I’m sorry it has come to this level but you wounded my heart” "I can't live without you Fafa, "I said.” I would rather join you in death than live without you, for life without you is meaningless...." I lamented. "Abena, Where are you", I heard my mother's voice in the shadows. I said, “Lord, Forgive me for my iniquities,” and plunged the sharpened knife into my own stomach. ”This world didn’t deserve me”, I said to myself, “Fafa’s world does”. Darkness began to engulf me. I felt excruciating pains in my abdomen from the knife I plunged into my own stomach. I saw my mother faintly. My vision blurred as I saw her in shimmers of light crying, “Abena, why??” Then I saw something like an apparition. A thick blanket of darkness descended heavily on me. Suddenly, the divine door blinds of eternity were opened unto me and there he was – Someone in the form of Fafa emerged from the thick canvas of darkness in white clothes. He embraced warmly with a smile, saying,”Welcome, I have been expecting you.” The darkness kept swallowing me and I began to sink deeper and deeper into a great abyss, with Fafa's smiling and holding me firm until we were completely engulfed in the pitch darkness into eternity where there is nothingness. I knew no more pain and I couldn't tell what happened after I closed my eyes finally.

EPISODE 11    FROM HOSPITAL TO  PRISON <Third Person's Point Of View> Maame Serwaa screamed loudly when she saw her husband and Abena lying in a pool of blood. Her scream was so agonising that some of her neighbours woke up from their sleep. They rushed to her house and were shocked to see father and daughter lying in a pool of blood. Quickly, they called an ambulance. Soon, the flashing red and blue light of the ambulance signalled the coming of the emergency car. Father and daughter were transported into the ambulance. The screeching tires and the keening wails of the siren, madly barreling through the streets with the hope of saving a precious life, showed how quickly misfortunes can befall us unexpectedly. The ambulance entered the SAMJ Specialist Hospital in Haatso with speed. It is noteworthy to say the speed at which the paramedics dealt with the situation showed the mark of true professionalism . Father and daughter were placed on stretchers and wheeled him into the emergency unit for a surgery to be done on them. They were fast loosing blood.Tears trickled down Maame Serwaa's cheek, her head burning with questions. She looked suffocated with emotion. ~In the Emergency ward~ Doctor Afriyie assessed Joe's pulse. He realised Joe was dead five minutes ago. His body was developing rigor mortis. He was thus taken to the the hospital Morgue. --Meanwhile -- A lot of machines were fixed on Abena. She was in a life threaten ing situation. Dr. Acheampong tried to stabilize and reduce Abena's wound’s bleeding before treating the injury. A nurse rinsed the wound with a sterile solution before cleaning it to remove bacteria and debris.Dr. Acheam pong explored the wound after administering a localized anesthesia to remove foreign bodies. He determined the extent of the injury and realized it was more serious than he initially anticipated it to be. He performed an emergency surgery to repair her damaged tissues and organs. He then closed the wound using sutures, skin adhesives, and staples. He kept monitoring Abena's heart using an electrocardiogram. A sensor pulse oximeter was painlessly attached to her finger tips to measure her pulse. Her blood pressure was stabilised. Dr.Acheampong administered intravenous (IV) fluids into her system. She didn't experience significant blood loss, so blood transfusion was cancelled. Abena's wounds were sealed with stitches, glue and staples. The doctor knew that deeper stab wounds require long term treatment and follow-up care outside of the emergency room. A stab wound to a sensitive area, such as the abdomen or back, the injury may cause additional complications or infections that require other treatments. ***** {ABENA'S POV} ~3 weeks later ~ When I opened my eyes, I thought I was dreaming. "Am I still on Earth?" "Yes, you are," a certain man in all white looked at me and smiled, " I am Dr. Akyeampong Livingstone. Me: How did I come here? Dr. Akyeampong: You were brought as an emergency case. Our paramedics picked you after Someone called called us. Me: hmm. How long am I here? Dr. Akyeampong: Three weeks. Me: I never thought I will live again. Dr. Akyeampong: Me too. It's a miracle you survive that knife stab. In fact, you narrowly survived that knife wound. It's very fatal. Me: Hmmm. Dr. Akyeampong : You were rushed in in the nick of time. Two minutes late and you would have been history. Me: That will have been better. I don't feel like living. Life is meaningless. Dr. Akyeampong : That's false. Life is meaningful. It depends on how you plan it. From what I heard , they say you stabbed yourselve and your Father because of a boy. I don't know why you chose to move along that line but keep this in mind, revenge is for the weak. It takes strength not to retaliate a wrong done to you. You should leave the rest in the hands of the Almighty God. Me: That sounded like a cliché. It's easy for you to say. Dr. Akyeampong: Maybe , maybe not. The ultimate choice is yours. You are free to make choices but you can't be free from the consequences of those choices. Now , I have other patience to attend to so we will continue this little conversation some other time. I saw a huge bandages wrapped round my abdomen. I tried to move but it was very painful. ~Two weeks later ~ "I think you have feel quite well. It's time to discharge you, Dr.Akyeam pong Livingstone said, but you need to follow the instructions I'm about to give you regarding your knife injury. Keep the wound dry and clean.Clean and re-bandage the wound. Don't stress yourselve too much. Contact me immediately if you observe redness or swelling in or around the wound or wound tissue that appears yellow, white, or black in colour. "Thank you Doc,"I said. Welcome Abena. I have already told your mother all that I told you about how to take care of the wound. In case you forgot an instruction, contact me on phone immediately. " "Thank you, Doc," I said and walk with difficulty towards the waiting hall. My mother was there. She rushed towards me. She was trying hard not to accuse me of killing my father. The truth was, I felt no regret for what I did. "Let's go home Abena,"she said. "Yes, Maame." "Your doctor told me a lot of things about how to care for your wound. I pray it helps. She looked at me sadly but said nothing more. When we reach home , my siblings Yaba and kweku didn't welcome me. To them I have killed their father. Of course, they don't know what actually happened. One week after being discharge from hospital, I had a complication. My motor function( Walking and moving of arms) were impaired. Dr. Akyeampong prescribed physical therapy for me. He also said the injury affected a major organ in my system so I need to visit Dr.Hoffmann, a specialist for further testing. I did and Doctor Hoffmann perform a subsequent operation on me, monitored me for a week before being discharge. I stayed at home for extra three weeks. Then morning, I heard a knock on my door. Opening opening the door, I saw a police officer. He said he was Sergeant Attipoe from the Central Regional Police Division. "Miss Abena Yeboah, you are under arrest for the murder of your friend Afua and your Father Mr. Joe, you have a right to remain silence. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you can't afford one , the state will give you one." My mother and siblings were around when I was handcuffed and pushed into a police van. My siblings smiled. "VROOOOOMMMM," The car moved away. In the faint distance? I could hear my mother's cry. ~In court ~ I was sent to court, Sandwiched by two police men and charged with murder. The charges didn't bother me much. I knew it will come to that. Since my case was a criminal one, a state prosecutor was assigned on it. I was represented by an attorney. The state prosecutor wanted to know why I decided to kill my Father and friend. I told the court they didn't deserve to live since one is a traitor and the other a murderer himself. The State Prosecutor said the state operate on laws and I didn't have any legal right to do what I did. My Attorney said I did it out of anger, and not deliberate. After so much legal battle, I was found guilty of first degree murder and sentence to 45 years imprisonment with hard labour. I was taken away to start my prison sentence in Ankaful Maximum Security Prison;Cape coast.

EPISODE 12 **** This chapter is Dedicated to all innocent prisoners suffering in our Prisons. *** PRESIDENTIAL PARDON AND A SURPRISE {Abena's POV} ~10 Years later~ Apart from your freedom that is denied you, life in Ghana prison is like living in hell even for one day , not to talk about one year, let alone ten years. If you are convicted for capital offences, consider yourself dead before your time. Honestly, I didn't know how I survived that inhuman environment for ten years. I still have thirsty five(35) years to go. I knew I will die before then. A Prisoner's daily life takes place according to a daily schedule determined by the laid down rules and regulations in the prison. The food you are given in the prison isn’t food that you will eat at home; it is food cooked by prison standards.Meat and fish were eaten once in a blue moon. The food served there was so terrible that it was not fit for even a dog. The banku had no salt and the soups were so light that you could see your reflection in it. I met Portia in prison. She told me she was arrested for killing a teenager she had no idea about; a fellow left a vehicle in her care which later turned out to contain the body of a teenage girl. She was arrested for that and she ended up in prison after the fellow told the police she( Portia) had stolen her car. For a little comfort , one must indulge in lesbianism. An older woman who had a little bit of privilege or serving inmate will have "Supi"(sexual intercourse) with an inmate who allowed it in exchange for giving her good food and basically providing a comfortable life for her. The state of the prison was a very disturbing sight to the eye, people were arrange like sardines like slaves in Europeans ships, making it difficult to breathe. We were overcrowded. There were frequent disease outbreaks and wee smoking .‘Wee’ in the prison cells, yes, the hard drug ‘wee’ and other illegal materials prohibited in the cells were smuggled into the cells.  The Prisons were a place where little or no attention is paid to inmates' health; they were left to their own fate when they fall ill. When you prove stubborn, you would be beaten mercilessly by your own inmates. Nurses and Health Aides who operated infirmaries and clinics within the prison facility were quack and not qualified.  They were unexperience and didn’t knew the drugs they administered very well. I was once given a bad injection and that worsen my situation resulting in chronic pains all over my body.Sometimes we had to prescribe drugs for ourselves. Though it’s unlawful and illegal for a prison officer to brutalize or assault an inmate, it was rampant to get beaten by prison wardens to the point of death. I fell very ill in prison. It became very serious and I was rushed to Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. I knew that was the malady that could take me to the land of the dead but it turned out to be another disappoint ment. I was told I was in Come for two weeks. When I finally woke up, I was told the President had fred some of us. He had exercised his powers of prerogative of mercy to grant remission to 100 persons under Article 72 of the 1992 Constitution in consultation with the Council of State based on the recommendation of the Prisons Service Council. The freed prisoners range from first time offenders, seriously ill inmates, very old prisoners among others and I happened to be among those freed. I was did discharged from hospital. I was so elated to regain my freedom. I founded my feet and walked briskly towards the exit of the hospital. Just when I was about to finally step out of the hospital yard, I bumped into a gentlemen. He was dressed like a doctor. He gazed at me with curious eyes and I also gazed at him with the same curiosity. I said, "Sorry Sir" and started moving away. "Abena!!" I heard a familiar voice called my name. "Oh, no , God. Tell me I'm dreaming. That person couldn't be calling me now. "Abena!!!!" That is his voice. It's unmistakenly clear and audible. Familiarity registered in my ears. My heart thumped sporadically and my breathing became intermittent. I almost jumped out of my skin. Suddenly, beads of sweat found their ways through my pores, unto my skin and I could feel cold shivers down my spine. My heart hammer with fury against my ribcage. My knees became weak and I was breathless. My knuckles shivered and my limbs felt paralysed. Collapsing seemed eminent. I feel like tearing the sky open and jumping onto its ceiling. "ABENA!!!!!" It's me....." The familiar deep voice echoed in my ears again. I turned round and saw the owner of the voice. My heart sunk and goose pimples sprang onto my skin immediately. I felt like urinating in my pants but then the urine suddenly disap peared. I brushed my face again to see if  I was dreaming in my sleep or I was fully awake." Am I in a trance or hypnosis ?" I tried to move my legs but they seemed to be pinned to the ground Lacking the belligerence to take me from such heart thumping situation. After much struggle, my legs lightened up and I broke into a run. "Please it's me, ABENA, don't run away." He started running after me but I ran faster. I didn't know I had ran so far . I started panting, yet I ran on. Then I felt a strong hand grabbed me by the waist. I tried to extricate myself from him but he was too strong for me. In the course of the scuffle, we fell on the pavement, closed to a taxi ranch, in the full glare of onlookers. We made a huge scene there. Hundreds of people , mostly the sellers and taxi drivers. They gaze at us in amazement. He was oblivious to my discomfiture when the crowd gazed at us and cuddled me. Feeling his fleshy components assured me it's him, not a spirit. I shouted, “FAFA?!!!!” I looked at him wordlessly again. I was nervous but very excited. I tried to talk but no word came out from my knotted throat. Then he hugged and kissed me. We began to cry for joy. "Why did you......" "Shhhhh, not now," he cut me off. He smiled and say, "don't worry. When we reach my place, I will explain everything to you. My car is in the hospital years. Let's go get it, dear." #prison #agamahfrancis

**clears throat** "i hereby declare you guilty under my own law" -This mantra by Abena got me laughing.. I love your creativity Mr. Writer.. Its true revenge is for the weak.. Not everyone can be strong when it comes to love so i dont blame Abena totally but killing her dad has earned her a curse from her dad and something is telling me Fafa could be the son of that Ewe girl that broke Abena's dad heart, she would be against the marraige if she finds out Abena killed her besty and dad, so what would stop her frm killing Fafa if he ever betrayed her, those death will hunt her.. As the doctor said WE ARE FREE TO MAKE CHOICES BUT WE ARE NEVER FREE FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF THOSE CHOICES.. She made selfish choices all because she wanted to live in "Fafa's World"... Abena's father was pregnant with lingering hatred an stereotype which gave birth to his death... You see this thing called LOVE, its very scary.. story filled with lots of real life lessons, ride on Francis

EPISODE 13 MISSED DEATH BY AN INCH <<Fafa's narration to Abena<< When the bullet from your father's gun hit me, I felt  excruciating pains at my back ,after which I fell down and lost consciousness, Suddenly, I saw darkness engulfed me as the bullets cut through my back deep into my spinal cord. Then I saw the angel of darkness emerging behind the thick blanket of darkness with a giant pick-axe in his right hand. He had a very cold face. He wore a black cloak. He held my hand and dived deeper into the darkness. The darkness swallowed us. I sank into the great abyss of infinite darkness into nothingness. The black angel took me through a long winding pitch dark channel. It was hard to describe it but I felt a sense of imprisonment. Suddenly in this vast nothingness a blinding pinprick of light shown. It moved towards me. As it got closer, what appeared to be a single light resolved into one, then several, then millions upon millions of strange stars of all shapes, sizes, and colours, along with tons of nebulae.“It was the most fearful sight thing I had ever seen. As I approached the centre, it seemed like I was joining a universal consciousness; a being made up of the thoughts, emotions, and experience of everyone and everything that had ever lived. The black angel left me at a cross road. One road fork to the left and the other to the right. I chose to follow the left road. Soon I saw a multitude of people in a single file. I joined the queue. There was a fearsome angel on a throne above us.He looked really scarry, with flashy eyes , piercy teeth, clad in black, all bones. His servant asked me to step forward. I was afraid but I complied. "Where is your Identity card?" He asked, stretching our his hand. "I have none , my Lord" I said. He looked at me in disbelief and asked of my name. I called it to him. He opened a book and searched for my name but my name wasn't in the book. One of his servants said, "my lord Hadés, his name is not here. Before I realised , I was pushed away from the crowd with the instruction. " Go back home. You don't belong here and don't come here again until your time is due. I left and trekked on the lonely road. It looked longer to me now than formerly. By the sides of the road, I saw a lot of women and men. They were stripped naked and locked in chains attached to a big wall. They seemed to be in great pain. I surged forward and decided not to pay attention to them even though they were calling me to help them. Their voices still echoed through my brain, Help me!! ,Help me!! , Help me!! , HELLLLPPPP MEEE!!! Finally I came to the cross road again. This time I saw another angel. He was clothed in all white. He said to me, "Fafa, you are lucky. Don't try coming here again unless your time is due. Hadés, the king of the underworld doesn't like intruders. He took me along a very bright path. I was amazed by his sheer brightness. When we reach the fringes of the bright light, he said, "Here , follow this track and go back home. "Thank you for......" ,The Angel disappeared.I followed the track. Suddenly I was engulfed with a very bright light. I could hear voices. Then I heard my mother's voice and opened my eyes. My mother gazed at me in conster nation she "Welcome me back." I found myself in a hospital, surrounded by a lot of machines. Most of them were attached to my body. It was a very painful experience. I don't really know how I found myself in the hospital." When I narrated my story to Abena, she was awestruck. But who took you to the hospital? She asked me. I was a bit surprised. I thought she knew. "So you don't know who took me to the hospital?," I asked her. "No, I don't," she said. "How,you were with your father when the incident happened so how come you don't know what happened to me after your father shot me?" She said, "I blacked out when my father shot you so I didn't know what happened. When I regain consciousness I was on my bed. It was later that I killed my father and stabbed myself. I thought I will die but I later woke up in a hospital." I told her what my mother told me after I regain consciousness. "When I was discharged from the hospital, my mother told me she was called by a certain hospital administrator that her son was in a critical condition. The direction of the hospital was given to her so she came to the central Region ( Cape Coast) from Sogakope. She said when she came to the hospital she saw me in a Coma and I stayed in the Coma for two weeks." Abena asked me where I went to after being discharged from the hospital. When I fully recuperated, I realised quite surprisingly that the Scholar ship given to me to study in London was still pending. Quickly I made arrangements and soon seen myself at the Kotoka International Airport . I was airborne within an hour to the queen's land. Upon my arrival, I went to the Scholarship scheme secretariat. I was given an accommodation and all the necessary resources to facilitate my studies in London . I graduated from the university of Exeter with a Master’s Degree in Forensic Medicine." "What is Forensic Medicine?" She asked. I said, " It is the application of medical knowledge to the investi gation of crime." She was Impressed with my course. She asked me why I chose Forensic Medicine. I told her I wanted to help the police fight crime which had become very pervasive in our society. After graduating from the univer sity, I worked in London for seven years years after which I decided to come back to Africa, Ghana to be precise. When I returned home, I was assigned to korle Bu Teaching Hospital where you met me. "Hmm. Your story was awesome and quite adventurous," she said. All those years, what kept me alive was you. I heard you were imprisoned for 45 years and I was wiling to wait for you to return. You don't know my joy when I saw you at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital," I said. Thank God for protecting us from the cold hands of death that had nearly grapped us into her room of sorrow, pain and misery, " Abena said. From now on, nothing will separate us again, not even death,"Abena said. "Well. That's my wish too but the future is not a human construct. We are just toys in the hands of the master of the COSMOS, God. Let's keep praying for the abundance of his mercy. " "Yes, Mr. Doctor-Preacher" Abena joked. Being away from each other for almost one and a half decade, Abena passed the night in my room. "Shhhh. She was sleeping. Don't get any ideas. Nothing happened out of the ordinary. <Third Person POV> What actually happened after Fafa was shot was that a next door neighbour heard the gunshot and peeped through the window only to see a young man in a pool of blood. He then the dialled Ghana Ambulan ce service short code 193 and the police service emergency number 18555. Within minutes, the ambulance came screeching its tires to a halt . The keening wail of its siren, madly barrelling through the streets echoed throughout the neighbor hood and gave the gathering crowd the shivers. Every head turned to follow the red and blue streak, curious about what had happened. They came into Joe's house and carried Fafa into the ambulance. Prior to their coming,Joe carried Abena and placed her in her bedroom. The paramedics asked,"Who's related to the boy?" but there was no volunteer. Nevertheless, they still took him to the hospital. On reaching the hospital, the paramedics quickly parked the truck in front of the hospital and took him out, and hurried him through the double doors. Life was ebbing out of him Soon the stretcher disappeared into the emergency room and the doctor prepared him for surgery to remove the bullet. Luckily, he didn't suffer from too much hemorrhage. He survived, missing death by an inch.

EPISODE 14 MOTHER'S LOVE STORY AND A BLOOD COVENANT [Fafa's POV] *** You will realise that throughout my narration, I never mentioned my father. The subject of Fatherhood was a pain in the ass for me. I didn't know my real father, the man I called my father was actually my step-father . My mother always feel uncomfortable any time I asked her the questions " Who is my real father?" "Where is he?" I kept asking her this question for the past 20 years. I remembered when I was in the basic school, we were asked to bring our parents (Father and mother) for a P.T.A meeting. I came home to tell my mother the school head teacher asked us to bring our parents. She went to the PTA meeting with my step-Father and was asked if he was my real father since there was no real resemblance between us. My mother answered "No". She said she didn't know my real father's whereabout. The Headteacher insisted on seeing my real father. I was there when he asked her if my father was dead. She said she wasn't sure he was dead but she didn't know where he was staying. "Can you at least call him on your mobile phone?" The head teacher asked her. My mother said she misplaced his contact number. Woman, we need the real parents of the kids to fill this form. Your biodata would also be collected. Your son is a child prodigy and we needed to give him the chance to further his education freely without pay but the one in charge of the scholarship scheme wanted us to collate the biodata of the children and their parents to authenticate their parentage. I was even told the parents will be medically examined" So once again, I asked, where is Fafa's Father?" "I don't know, headmaster," She answered succinctly. Then the headmaster lost his temper and reprimanded her "Woman, How can you say you don't know where the father of your son is?" "This is absolutely nonsensical and preposterous,a mark of parental irresponsibility and dereliction of duty, you are a little short of being an atimy to your son, perhaps a nincompoop. It's quite ironically your son is a genius, a savant and not a nitwit like you. My mother left the head's office, very worried and embarrassed. I knew my mother was keeping something from me. It was always there. Consequently, I lost that opportunity to earn a scholarship at my basic level to have a free tuition when I was going to the high school. I came across her wedding picture in some of my mother's belongings. It was hidden in the things she packed down to burn. Out of curiosity I asked her if the man in one of the picture was my real father. For once my mother smiled. She said the man in the picture was NOT my father. So the question was, did she give birth to me before marrying the man or after her  marriage to the man? "Son, sit down. Let me throw more light on this issue for you. You have been asking this question for far so long. My mother told me, "Son. This is what happened. I met your Father When he was a recruit in the Army at Sogakope. I was a teacher then in the same area. He will ran from training camp and come to me. The love was sweet. We were happy with each other and felt sad whenever we have not heard from each other for a day. Your father had one big problem. He was very temperamental and quick tempered. At first I tolerated him but with time his quick-temperedness got into me. I knew he will fight with any guy he saw with me so I waited until he finished his 6 months military training. When he left to his hometown, I got a new boyfriend. He paid me an unannounced visit and saw my new lover. It resulted into a fight. Few weeks later I married my new boyfriend. I was expecting to have a happy marriage life. One month later I felt feverish. I went for a check up at the hospital with my husband. The doctor said I was three months pregnant while I was married for just a month. My husband was mad at me and accused me of infidelity but I knew I have not cheated on him. "Eureka!!" It dawned on me then that I was two months pregnant for my soldier boyfriend before the wedding. At first my husband seemed to understand the circumstances but that was the turning point of our relationship. Things were never the same again. He used his actions to speak to me. At first, he always come home very early though he was a banker but it stopped. He began coming home late. I didn't complain because I wanted to avoid a verbal confrontation with him. It got worst to the extent that he began sleeping outside his matrimonial home. I also suspected he was having an affair but still I never complained. I came back home from work to see my husband on top of another woman right on my matrimonial bed. I confronted him angrily but he talked to me without respect. I told him to quit talking to me in that condescending tone! But that got him more insensate. At that moment I decided to leave him for good. I packed my things and when I was about to leave, he resume swiving his girlfriend while I watched. I heard the lady moved in to cohabitate with him later. Our divorce was swift. I got no alimony from him. I told the court I didn't need it since I was the one who brought the problem into my marriage unknowingly. Eventually,I met your step-father Amenyaglo and I remarried him. I also used his surname for you. My son, that is why I don't like talking about this topic. I asked my mum, " Did you contact my father about me." She said she did but my father didn't believed her. She said his contact number was on her first phone but that phone got spoiled beyond repairs and was discarded long ago. She also said she didn't know his home town since they were just doing boyfriend- girlfriend things by then. "What is his name?" I asked her. I don't know if it is his real name but he told me to call him " Bullet ." So my son , that's all I can tell you about your father. I used to have his picture but I discarded all those things about him after my marriage to Amedeka because I didn't want him to think I was still in love with my Ex boyfriend. Little did I knew I was keeping my ex's pregnancy without knowing because I used to have my period even then." "I'm sorry to hear your story. I hope to find my father one day." My mother's narration soothed the pain I had for a very long time. The pain of not knowing anything about my father and her continuous refusal to tell me anything about him. On the outside though, the pain was indiscernible because Despite that that trauma ,I never lose my state of equipoise. I had developed some kind of noncha lance to always handle frenetic situations. I kept wondering where my father would be at that moment and if he even knew he had a child with my mother. From my mother's narrative, he knew but didn't believe her, perhaps due to his anger for her for betraying his love. Well. My mother told me all these things before I went to the university. I don't know why I'm remembering them now that I was in Cape Coast. Then the ringing of the phone cut through my chain of thought. I looked at the screen. It was Abena. I picked the call. "Fafa, meet me right now!!!" She said. "At where?" I asked. Abena directed me to a particular spot. She didn't give me any reason for the meeting. It was just impromptu. "Please trust me," she said. ❣~Blood Covenant ~❣ Quickly, I headed towards the place Abena had instructed me to meet her. Upon reaching there , Abena took me along a long winding ghostly bushy path. It took about 45 minutes for us to reach where she intended to take me. Evil birds hoot at us. It was around 6.30 p.m but the thick canvas of darkness was becoming to spread its heavy clothes on Earth. To my amazement, she stopped in front of an old shrine. Posuban Shrine. This shrine was an old shrine abandoned in a village close to Cape Coast. It was one of the deadliest shrines in the community. It was said that the Oracle appointed its own Chief Priests or priestesses. Once you were appointed, you have no choice than to comply. It's either you comply or die. Several men and women were killed by this goddess because of their non- adherence to her call. Powerful men of God were called to nullify the powers of the goddess but they couldn't. In fact the whip that broke the camel's back was when one of the pastor's was captured by the goddess to become a servant in the shrine. The village folks, out of fear escaped from the village. Abena looked at me and asked, " Fafa, do you really love me?" "Yes, I do" I said. Can you die for me for the sake of love? "Yes, I can." "THEN PROVE IT IN FRONT OF THE POSUBAN SHRINE, "She said. How? I asked. Abena took a knife out. For a moment I thought she was going to stabbed me since she had become quite skilled in knifemanship. Instead she cut her finger and asked me to use my tongue to lick the blood. I hesitated at first. She looked disappointed. I was afraid she might stab me if I don't prove my love for her after promising to be with her forever. Her face was turning red with......" "Fafa, I'm waiting!!!" I changed my mind and licked the blood from her cut finger. She smiled. "Here take, cut your finger too." I took the knife and cut my finger. She happily licked my blood. Then she held my cut hand and pressed it against her cut finger. She asked me to say, "I VOW TO BE WITH YOU FOREVER NO MATTER WHAT. IN LIFE AND IN DEATH." I said it. She also repeat the same vow to me. Then Abena wiped our blood with a piece of paper and sent it ablaze. She said, "our love will be an Unquenchable burning flame. We left the shrine and returned home. That night I couldn't sleep. I was beginning to regret this folly called " love" but I felt I had already sold my soul to the devil and the devil only have one punishment for non- conformist; DEATH. Well, I don't want to die. At least, not yet.

**clears throat** my elfin goddess @ladyg u de feel this story... my guess of the Ewe girl being Fafa's mum was right, but never did i imagine the two love birds could be sibling, isnt God wonderful? If Fafa's dad anger hadnt becloud his sense of judgement at least they would have discovered they were siblings, now its too late and abominable love is unavoidable as a result of the blood convenant... I dnt blame Abena for what she did because love comes with full mumu package.. The words "atimy" and "savant", seeing them for the 1st time today, ride on my aficionado.. *sips wine*

EPISODE 15 "Parents are the living gods in front of our eyes but this truth dawns on the child only when the child has grown up and become a parent. Elbert Hubbard said, “Where parents do too much for their children, the children will not do much for themselves.” *** ABENA MET FAFA'S MOTHER. ~One month later ~ Abena had never seen my mother before. I was contemplating on taking her to my hometown to see my mother and at the same time tell my mother of my intention to marry her. I pre-informed my mother about our coming. She wanted to know about the girl I was bringing home but I told her she will know the details soon. It was a Saturday morning and mother had been expectant since I told her I was bringing a my fiancée. She showed it through the number of calls she made to me that morning asking series of questions, " when will you set off? Are you on the way?" Where have you reach ".... Her joy knew no bound when I told her we will soon be in Sogakope. I described Abena to my mother and this had increased her curiosity. My mother fell in love with Abena even before she met her due to all I told her about Abena. The preparations for Abena's visit was like a man expecting a lady for the first time. Which mother won't be happy when her son is bringing a woman of his choice to her . My Mother ensured she stocked the fridge and freezer with all manner of food and drinks just in preparation for Abena's visit. She told me herself on phone. I was jealous because I thought the preparation was just too much. When we reached my Hometown, Sogakope , Abena was quite apprehensive about my mother's reaction. I assured her everything was going to be alright. When we reached the gate, I whispered into her ear "Just relax and smile when you see her ". I was impressed with her outfit and I knew that will also impress my mother sitsofe because she was wearing a white lace. White was my mother's favourite colour. I bought many gifts for my mother. The moment I entered the house, my siblings welcome me with great joy. They then headed towards my car boot to pick the items while Abena and I joined my mother in the sitting room. The hall was adorned with a large bunch of flowers and a sign reading,"Miasrɔ̃,woe zɔ kakaka!" Translated "You are highly welcome, Our wife." "Mum, here is Abena, my fiancée , I introduced my awaited lover to my mum. "You are welcome, our wife," my mother greeted Abena. I have been waiting for you since my son told me he would be coming with you. I have prepared all manner of food and I want you to be free because this is your house. Please have your seat, My mother, sitsofe offered Abena a seat. "My Daughter , what is your name? Mama asked her. "Abena Yeboah," my fiancée answered. My name is Sitsofe , my mother tried to introduce herself to Abena. Then my mother remembered the name "Abena." Did you say your name is Abena Yeboah? "Yes,ma" "And you want to marry my son?" "Yes ma", Abena replied with a smile. I love your son, and I will like to marry him, she added. Who are your parents?" my mum asked. Abena told my mum about her parents and showed her a picture of them. My mum asked " is this man your Father?" Abena hesitated, then said "Yes." Immediately my mother's counte nance changed. She became worried. She called one of my siblings , Ablavi to offer Abena something to drink. Then my mother asked me to join her at the inner room for a private discussion. She headed into the inner room. I was very happy that my mother was flowing with Abena. Abena was offered orange juice by senyo and I left her to join my mother. When I met my mother in the inner room, her countenance was not as good as it was when she left the sitting room. I was shocked seeing her with a frowned face. Anything the matter, mum? I asked. I was shocked with what my mother did and said. She held a newspaper and put it in front of her. She pointed to Abena's photograph in the newspaper and asked me," is this girl in the newspaper not Abena, the same ABENA you brought here? Nervously I answered "Yes" My mother: Fafa, is that not the same girl whose father shot you with a gun sending you to the fringes of death? Me : Yes. My mother: The newspaper said she killed her father because of love or is she not the same Abena who killed her father? Me: Yes. My mother: If so, why are you still dating her? Me: Mum, is it about her tribal origin or the circumstances surrounding her. My mother:( smiling) Fafa, I'm not tribalistic. I don't have any problem with you marrying from any tribe but this girl in particular is NOT good for you. She will bring you bad luck and death. Me: Wish me well, mum. My mother: Hmmmm. I'm your mother. I cannot see you moving into danger and allow you to enter it. Me: Which danger? My mother: If that girl kill her father because of love, do you think she will spare you if you break her heart? Do you want to share in her father's curse. Any child who kills his or her parents is cursed forever. Me: uhmm. I guessed she had gone to the extreme there but I'm sure it was due to her limitless love for me. My mother: WHAT KIND OF FOOLISH LOVE IS THAT? LOVE IS SELFLESS, NOT SELFISH. There is a thin line between love and folly. Make sure you don't cross the line. I know you are an intelligent boy but love even make most Intelligent people foolish. Me: So Mum, What exactly is your point? My mother: You cannot marry that ABENA girl, not when I'm alive.I won't open my eyes wide and allowed you to marry this bad luck girl. Go and tell her to go away. I don't want her as my future daughter-in -law. Me: Mum, I love her and I can't live without her. My mother: love alone is not sufficient in marriage. Ask all those whose marriages ended in divorce today if they didn't love their spouses at the time of marriage and you will realised they all did but it couldn't sustain their relation ship. You need to use your head. You have live for 21 years without her. How come you can't live without her now? I'm warning you. Don't take this step, Fafa. It is a road of death. Me: I'm sorry Mum, I can't leave her. My mother's voice began to go up.She was angry. I left her in the imner room to join Abena in the sitting room. The most difficult thing to do was how to convey my mother's message to Abena. In-between the inner room and the sitting room, there was another room. I wept bitterly there. When I rejoined Abena at the sitting room, she was agitated, knowing something was wrong. She looked at my face and held me tightly, "what is the matter Fafa? Oh, I can guess, maame doesn't like me right? It was a difficult question to answer. My tears became the answer to Abena's question. "Where can I urinate ?" Abena asked me. I showed her the urinal. It was close to the entrance. While I watched Abena headed towards the urinal, my mother called me. I went inside to attend to my mum's call. I was crying. My tears moved my mother to tears too. "Fafa sit down ," my mother ordered me to sit at her bed side. I believe you know I love you and I will never allowed you enter into a marriage that will make you unhappy all your life. That girl's father nearly killed you. It's obvious her family is tribalistic. They won't accept you whole-heartedly. In addition to that, Abena killed her own father because of you. Do you think her family will forget the fact that you are the reason he killed her father? Heaven will not forgive me if I allow you marry this girl." I looked at my mother, anger boiling in me. "I have to go now Mum, I told her and left her room towards the sitting room. When I reached the sitting room, Abena was not there. She was gone. I called her, "Abena!! Abena!!!, Abena,!!!Abena!!!" My anger was boiling. I combed the whole house and even outside but alas!! Abena is gone. I called her on my mobile phone but the phone was switched off. After searching frantically for Abena, I became very hot with anger with my mother. My mother said , "She's gone.Allow her to go, " as she fetched water from a well. I got closer to her at the well. "You will get another girl to marry, my son" my mother tried to console me. Her words fail to console me. They made even more angry. I became intransigent and told her, "I'M SORRY, MUM BUT I DON'T NEED ANOTHER GIRL." My siblings Senyo, Ganyo and Ablavi were sitting on the veranda watching the argument between us. My mother angrily said, " you will have a bitter marriage if you don't stay away from that relationship. I was quiet taking in my mother's words as a malediction. "Son,you can't marry Abena. There's one more reason why you can't marry Abena. She is .........." she slipped. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. I rushed forward to grab my mother 's hand but my hands couldn't reached hers before she plunged headward into the well which had a very short wall, the weight of the big bucket she was using to draw the water pulled her deeper into the depth of the well. I gazed in wonderment as I saw my mother's lifeless body inside the well. My siblings were very shocked at what happened. They screamed as if possessed by the spirit of the oracles. People rushed into our house. A ladder was brought and used to remove my mother's lifeless body from the well. I sent her to the hospital in my car and waited anxiously outside the hospital hoping for a miracle to happen so that she would resurrect. "This couldn't be happening to me God, is she going to be okay? " I kept walking up and down the veranda , my eyes desperately looking for anyone to walk out of the emergency room. My eyes landed on a group of people at the hospital praying for their loved ones, tears dropping from their eyes, as they  knelt down. I walked over to them and knelt, unsure of where to start. My voice shivered and shook when I managed to say ,"Lord, Don't take her away from me, please." I tried to say something else, but no word left my knotted throat. I walked back to the waiting area with the hopes of hearing something good. Senyo,Ganyo and Ablavi were there. My eyes drippled with raw fear. I wanted to say something to my siblings when the door swang open.Doctor Agbevivina came out of the emergency room. All of us looked at the doctor walked out of the emergency room. My heart skipped a hundred beats as he walked towards us. My breathing stiffened, my lungs refusing to accept any air coming into them. I gulped as the doctor got nearer to us, something about his sleek black eyes terrified me. He had a quick look at all of us, his equiposity, very mesmerising. He wasn't bothered by our frightened eyes, before taking a long gaze at the white sheet pinned to his note pad. With my heart beat increasing every second, I squeezed my own fingers between my palm and hope that all my negative thoughts would be proven wrong. Unable to wait for him to give out the informa tion, I asked him "How is she, Doctor?" The doctor looked at me, suddenly his equipoisity was betrayed by the information he saw on his paper. Turning to us, he said, We did all we could, but SHE' S GONE. I'm sorry." Though I thought I was prepared for that news, it hit me like a thunderbolt. I broke down crying. In that moment, I die within myself. I didn't know how long I cried but my grief worsened when her body, convered with white cloth was put on a gurney and wheeled towards the mortuary. Then I heard the police's siren.I knew they were coming for me. I heard somebody said I pushed my mother into the well. Nobody will ever believe it was accidental. The police eventually came to me at the Out Patience Department. "You are under arrest for killing your mother," a police officer said to me. *** Never hurt your parents willingly, love them, respect them otherwise you'll regret this your whole life when they are gone-Anurag Prakash Ray

EPISODE 16 THE STRANGER IN COURT [ Fafa's POV] The police have arrested me without a warrant. A lot of onlookers were around when the police officer handcuffed and took me away to the crime office. I was put in a police van and 'VROOOMMM' he drove off to the police station. The District Crime Officer Superin tendent O'neil Acheampong said I have to be detained at the police cell to assist with investiga tions into the case. For some strange reasons, I was locked in that small cell for two weeks. The walls were thick with a metal door welded firmly to a pivot hinge and supplied in a substantial steel frame. The police cell had only one small window. A perfect reflection of the real prison which awaited me if proven guilty by a court of law. It was no brighter inside than the gathering gloom of dusk, even at midday.  I struggled to cope with the musty smell of the floor and the general chilly atmosphere and aura surrounding the cell. My pains were exercebated by the bed , which was just a plank of wood on creaky legs, an unguranteed monument, with no mattress, no cushioning and only one worn-out blanket. "Wake up, lazy bone," one of my inmates commanded. I turned round. My inmates were about ten. They looked at me with curious expressions on their faces. The leader of the inmates asked me, boy, "what have you done?" I looked at him without talking.  He asked me again but I decided not to talk. Before I realised, he descended on me and started hitting me. He commanded the other inmates to beat me for choosing to ignore him. Somehow, I developed some kind of inner resistance to their hostility. Their beating didn’t reach the core of my body, needless to say, I still suffered body pains. In that painful moment, I thought the world was crashing on me. No two way about that. With all these happenings , where else could I find solace than in the word of God.  My lord and my God ,  I felt nothing but hurt and pain.  I feel so broken, my heart is torn apart, shredded by the scheme of the wicked one.  All I can do is wait upon your abundant mercy Wait in this desolate place,  I believe and have an unflinching trust in you that somehow you can meet me and touch me with the anointing of your holiness  I feel too weak to go on.  Drained of all energy I am like a shell, living, breathing, yet so empty. All I want to do is give up.  Give up in this heartbroken time,  And believe that somehow you can restore me.  I find this sadness overwhelming, and too strong  Like wave upon wave of emptiness  All I can do is wait upon your salvation. And rest within your suffering and hope that through you - Your love, your forgiveness and your strength - I will wake to a new day  A new dawn for my heart and my life. Amen.  I was in the prayer mood when Suddenly, the door creaked open and a police officer walked in. "Hey, man, Step out," he said without any sign of respect. But why will he respect me when I was considered a criminal?" I turned round and saw my tormentors. They just stopped and gazed at me, as if it is a mesmerism. I was ushered into the office of the District Crime Officer Superinten dent O'neil Acheampong. He said a prima facie had been established against me that I contributed to my mother's demise and thus I would be sent to court the next day. ~The next day~ ~In the court room~ I was sleeping on the bare floor when two police men came in abruptly saying, : It's time for court, Murderer!Wake up.!!!! Your judgement day has arrived." I was Handcuffed and marched   into the Police van. When we got to the compound of the court,  I was shocked to see a large crowd. They stared at me in sadness and surprise. My eyes landed on my siblings Senyo,Ganyo and Ablavi. They  were sobbing uncontrollably. We walked to the court room. The crowd in the court room was even more than those outside. The Judge and jury entered the court room .The Court's clerk ordered the Court to rise. All the people in the court rose to honour the presence of the Jury. After the judge sat down in his seat on the elevated platform, the people in the court were also asked to sit down. It was the state against me. The court clerk searched through the dockets and brought out the case file. He said, "Case Number 22. THE STATE VRS FAFA AMENYAGLO. I was sent to the witness box and  made to swear an oath. After the swearing of the oath, the case was read: "About two weeks ago, you had a verbal exchange with your mother who was advising you against your relationship with Abena, a girl you met at Winneba. You got annoyed and push your mother into a well which resulted in her death." I was asked if the allegation levied against me was true. I said they were not. I was then asked to recount my own version of the crime I was accused of. After that I was crossed examined. My siblings were called in as witnesses. To my utmost surprise Senyo and Ganyo told the court I pushed our mother into the well. Ablavi however said our mother slipped and fell into the well while talking to me. The state lawyer crossed examined my siblings and left. The court's reporter sat near the witness stand in the courtroom and recorded everything that was said during the trial or introduced into the court as an evidence by typing it on a stenographic machine. The case was adjoined for a few minutes. The jury decide the facts in the case, and applied the law on which the judge has instructed it. Then the court reconvened. There was silence at the court. The judge was allowed to give his verdict. He said, "Investigation has been done thoroughly and we have had enough evidence which can help us take a stand on this issue. VERDICT : Having considered all the statements and evidences put before me carefully, I hereby, concluded beyond a reasonable doubt that Fafa Amenyaglo is found _____." Quite suddenly, a strange man entered the courtyard and said, "my lord, may I take a few minutes of your time as what I'm about to show you can have substantial effect on your judgement. " Though the Jury was quite irked by the stranger's unconventional interruption , he allowed the video to be marked as an exhibit. He then adjourned the case for an hour. Then the case was reconvened. The jury said,Having considered the latest evidence put before me carefully, I hereby, concluded beyond a reasonable doubt that Fafa Amenyaglo is found NOT guilty of the offense levied against him. My two brothers Ganyo and Senyo were charged with perjury and fined Ghc 3000 each or risked 6 months in prison. I couldn't see my brothers ended up in jail despite their false witnesses against me. I paid the fund and they walk away in shame. I knew they were angry and blamed me for the death of our mum. It appears a lot of people in the crowd wanted the jury to pronounce a guilty verdict on me. When it turned the other way round, they were highly disappointed. I searched for the strange man to talk him and show my gratitude but he was nowhere to be found. He seems to disappear. I walked home a free man to relax after being in that dirty cell for two weeks. An hour after my relaxation, my sister knocked on my door. "Brother!! Brother !!!" "Ablavi, what is the matter?" "You need to start running now, a large crowd is coming to lynch you. They said you told the stranger to bribe the judge to set you free and that it's because of you our mother is dead." Quickly, I took my wallet, opened the door, thank my sister and broke into a run. I heard the deafening sound of the mob in the distance. I ran and ran until I could hear them no more.

**clears throat** Dear Fafa Aberavglo, its a pity your brothers have to go to that extent just because they blame you for your mother's death, now you knw your sister is the only one who cared about you.. I dnt knw the stranger who brought the evidence but somehow i feel Abena might have paid the stranger to do so.. Like i predicted earlier, Abena would always be knwn as the girl who killed her dad and caused the dead of Fafa's mum.. None of the family wil conscent to the marraige so eventually Fafa Abena would have to elope to be together.. As for those idiot mob wanting to lynch Fafa, i am still trying to understand how some people would leave their problems and focus on other people's own o.. I have a suspicion though that fafa's mum and abena's father might have taken some form of oath in the past, which wil be the only explanation why Fafa's mum slipped into the well when she was about letting the cat out of the bag.. Its like the abominable love was destined to be. @ladyg et @henrymary wetin una tink?

EPISODE 17 RELOCATION AND ADVENTURE { Abena's POV} <<<<<< I saw a river separating Fafa and I. Instead of waiting for Fafa to cross the river, I quickly jumped in and started crossing the river with vigour. Then a lady came out from nowhere and was wooing my lover. I was jealous of her and forgot that I was crossing a river with a high torrent. I lost my balance and the river began sweeping me away. It broke my heart Fafa remain nonchalant about all the efforts I was making to reunite with him. Then...I saw Fafa left the strange girl and dived into the river to rescue me. He swam with speed and soon caught up with me. Instead of quickly getting out of the water , we began smoothing and kissing, in the middle of the river. Suddenly a giant evil looking snake appeared from the river. It was like an anaconda(Eunectes murinus). The huge snake began to constrict us until we could no longer breathe. Then it opened its mouth to swallow us whole while still squeezing us between its giant gliding body. We fought like wounded lion to break loose from that tussle but the more we fought It, the stronger it squeezed life out of us. We could feel its parallel lines of backwards pointing teeth  on our head. It became a tenacious adversary. With the last energy in our body , we struggled to break loose again. Angered now by our relentless efforts, it began swallowing us whole now. Our cry for " JESUS " was muffled as we saw ourselves in the snakes stomach. My breathing stopped and I black out. I woke up on bed crying. For a moment I thought I was a ghost. <<<<>>> I become very apprehensive after having that terrible nightmare the previous night. It is said that dreams are the preview into the unknown future. I waited for Fafa for two weeks. He had not return from his hometown. I tried calling him on phone but received no response. I knew its not a matter to diddle-daddle on. Was Fafa annoyed with me for deserting him in his hometown? We have not wrangle or bicker before. Maybe I shouldn't have left him in Sogakope when his mother told him he couldn't marry me. My mother noticed my anxiety and asked me, "are you thinking of Fafa?" "Yes," I answered. She looked at me seriously and advised me to break up my relation ship with Fafa. She said, "no good will come out of your relationship with Fafa. I have a bad dream about both of you but I will put it in prayers. For now BREAK UP with Fafa." Then she added something that hurt me so much. She said, " I hope you will not stab me like you did to your father when he advise you against Fafa." Her comment hurt me so much that I decided to leave the house. I was distraught. I packed a few of my belongings and left. On the way, I saw my little sister walking towards my direction. I dodged her because i don't want any of my family to see me leave. I diverted into the bush. When she passed by , I resumed my journey. I didn't know exactly where I was going but I just want to move out to a place far away where I could get the much needed solace. At the station, a bus driver asked if I was going to kyekyewere. Without thinking twice I said " YES" I then entered the bus and relaxed. Soon, the bus was full and we began our journey. It was a long tiring journey on the dusty bumpy road, a road that forked through thick canvas of forest ,interspersed with streams .We travelled for about nine hours until we reached a spot on the road where the bus cannot move on.The driver explained to us we have to continue the rest of the journey on feet. I couldn't believe my eyes.Walking through the beastly looking forest on foot? It seemed like a herculean task but we soon realise the reality when the bus sped of, leaving us in In a jungle of confusion and desperation. We were on our own now in no man's land. We were fifteen in number. I simply followed the villagers. We started walking through the thick forest. After four hours of a trekking, we reached the small remote village in the evening. "Are you from kyekyewere ?" a voice from behind asked me. Turning round, I saw a woman in his mid thirties. "No, I'm not. I'm just a tourist looking for a little relaxation and a place to be in tune with nature " I answered. "Good, my daughter. I can offer you a place to stay for your tour if you don't mind." "No, I don't mind." Ok. My name is Papina. Ok. Papina. I'm happy to meet you. "Me too, but there is one more thing." "What is that?" I asked. Every stranger who comes to our village. must see the chief first for his approval to stay here. "Ok. No problem," I said , secretly hoping my stay will be endorsed. kyekyewere was a small village consisting mainly of mud houses, roofed with thatch and a small river, called Abonwi, which served the whole village of kyekyewere. The village had a rounded settlement pattern, with the chief's compound at the centre and a few meters from the chief's compound was the school compound and adjacent to the school compound was the mini market. The village had no health centre but Traditional Birth Attendants and a few herbalists. There was no electricity. The thick forest surrounded the while village , as if it was an army, ready to advance on its settlers should it be provoked. I could see the young girls carrying clay pots, going to the river side to fetch water, the boys and men carrying cutlasses and firewood, returning from their farms, the sounds of twigs alerting them of their environment. The older women were busy preparing the evening meals for their husbands. When we reached the village, the rest of the people left to their homes. They were natives of the village who had travelled to the city for a while to make a better living for themselves. Small children, some naked, could be seen, rushing towards them, very happy to see them. They hugged them cheerfully with smiles on their faces. Even the adults came out, the elderly men wrapped clothes round their waist, the women also ,except the clothes covered both their waist and breasts. I was sent to the chief's palace where I was given water and a traditional prayer offered. The chief's linguist asked of my mission in the village.I told him I'm a tourist and I came to the village to learn about nature and their way of life. The chief was a gigantic man, about 6 ft,40 inches tall.Very muscular and thick. He spoke with authority and power as he sat on his magnificent throne, his feet rested on the skin of a lion, his throne embroidered with mysterious designs and his Royal staff had a lion head carved on top of it. The chief's compound was well kept and neat. They were designed with markings and embroideries that perfectly fit his royal status. There were a dozen maids in his house and many body guards, most of them muscled and fearsome. After detailing the chief through the linguist of my mission, I was heartily welcome and even given an accommodation near the chief's palace. I told the chief I would prefer to stay with Papina but he said that accommodation was specifically designed for strangers. I had no option than to accept it. It wasn't any extraordinary building. Same mud house roof with thatch. It has a bamboo bed and a few earthenware plates and an overused raffia mat. **** My friendship with papina grew within the weeks that followed. I stayed in the village for two months without any significant incident. In my fourth month, things began to change. One day, Papina told me the oldest son of the chief, Yafeu was interested in me. She said he overheared him talking to some of his friends. Everyday, Papina came to me for a chat or just company. She had only one brother. Her father is dead and her mother had travelled to the city. That evening Yafeu told me he loved me. At first he was quite diplomatic about it. He was overly friendly, asking his servants to give me needless assistances. When he realised I didn't want to bulge, he became aggressive to the point we nearly had a physical confronta tions. One evening, he burst into my room. Papina wasn't around. He said, " I give you three days to reconsider your decision with regards to my proposal or you will leave this village in disgrace ." Having said that, he stormed out if my room. At that moment, I realised my days in the village was numbered. Deep in the night, I took the few belongings I brought and escaped under the cover of darkness. I lost my courage when I was about to break into the thick forest. I imagined encountering lions or tigers or even snakes. How could I pass through this beastly looking forest alone? Then I saw a light palm oil lamps heading towards my room. Realization dawned on me.The prince wanted to take advantage of me that night. Gathering courage, I ran into the thick beastly forest. My heart beat. Nightly animals seemed to be following me. Bats flew about carelessly. Even the sounds of tree twigs terrified me. I walked through the deadly forest relentlessly. I met dwafts and strange creatures but I managed to avoid those foul spirits. The next day , l left the village behind. It looked as if the forest was becoming thicker and thicker the more I walked through it. I passed the second night too in the forest. I was totally stunned by the forest's ecosystem and thrilled by the incessant humming of the bees in their hideout. The bees were not the only sign of life in the thick forest. There were insects, spiders, slugs, salamander, in addition to broad -winged hawks and pileated woodpeckers. Monkeys howled to its troop members and birds gave welcoming chirps to their flock. The brush rustled with small mammals and insects skirting along the forest floor.  The towering trees formed a robust canopy, blocking almost all the sun light, from reaching the floor, with their amazing heights in addition to housing hundreds of species within a few acres like the rubber trees Cecropia and Giant red Cedars. There were also parasitic and creeping plants in the dense forest with large leaves and vines. Everything seemed serene to me. I managed to survive in the heart of the forest feeding on fruits. With no human presence, I relished the company of the forest creatures. I was exhausted and felt the need to sit down and relax. Just when I sat down and put my head on the trunk of a tree, I heard a loud roar behind my back. I knew that roar only belong to one animal, the king of the jungle; lion. I turned round and saw it. The sight of the gigantic feline sent cold shivers down my spine. It squinted its devilish eyes towards my direction, with tensed muscles ready to pounce on me. Quite instinctively, I broke into a ran. I ran along the narrow pathway. I could hear the breath of the beast behind me. It was getting very very close . Its snarling canine teeth now very visible. Its roar was powerful and thunderous. I knew my life was at stake. The aggressive beast was poised to kill me. The beast soon narrowed the gap between itself and me. My gyration was weak. Out of fear, I slipped and fell on the vegetated floor. The lion pounced on me. In that frightful moment, I knew my life had come to an end. It sunked its ferocious canine teeth into my flesh. My thigh burned with pain. I let our a bloody shriek as the lion feasted on my left leg. Its canine teeth burned deep into my succulent flesh as I kept bawling. Then there was a gunshot. The bullet found its way into the belly of the lion and it hit the ground with a heavy thud, dead. I turned around to see my saviour, the shooter. I was stunned. What was he doing in that thick forest?"

EPISODE 18 RESCUE [FAFA'S POV] I carried her at my back as I passed through the thick forest. I walked for about forty minutes but couldn't find any road or footpath. I realised my hands were wet. I dropped Abena from my back temporarily and brought my hands up to my eye level to realise her blood was pouring out incessantly. She was unconscious in my hands. I removed my shirt and tied her wound in other to stop the bleeding. The lion had really eaten her deep. I need to get her out of here before she dies, I carried her at my back again as I walked through the deadly forest. I walked for a while and I found a river. I quickened my pace with the last strength in me to the bank of the river. I dropped her on the ground and pour some of the water on her face while I pour some in her mouth. She coughed and opened her eyes "Babe, thank God you are back to life " . "Please hold on, we are almost near a village".. . I gave her more water to drink and I also drank some. Then Abena lost consciousness again. I saw a woman holding firewood on her head. I carried Abena at my back and followed the path the woman took. I walked for few minutes when a man in his forties came out from a narrow path near the bush. He was dressed in an old shirt and wearing a big trouser, holding a machete and a sack in his hands. "Who are you and what are you doing here? "Please help us, her leg was devoured by a lion and she is dying " . He looked at us quite surprised. He said "Come with me." I followed him while carrying Abena at my back . I was very tired. My legs were heavy and I found it a Herculean task taking each step but I have to do it for the sake of my love, Abena to survive. We walked for almost thirty minutes before we finally got to his house The house was made of mud and thatch as roofing, two ladies in their twenties came out from the back yard of the house and collected the sack from him "Welcome Agymah" a woman in the same age as that of the man said while coming out from a small kitchen. There was smoke coming from the kitchen. "Who are these people?" She asked but he didn't answer, the two ladies kept staring at us in shock and sympathy "Come with me " he said to me while entering into one of his rooms, I followed still carrying Abena at my back. He laid a mat on the floor. I gently dropped her on it. "I will be right back" he said as he went out. Ten minutes later, he came back with some leaves and concoctions. He opened Abena's mouth and poured in the concoction. He fetched water and clean the surface of the wound. He uttered some incantation before applying a green powdery substance on her gashy wound. "You City people don't believe in natural medicine but that is our way of life here. She will be fine, she just needs some rest" he said. I stared at Abena. She was sleeping like an innocent child. "Please, food will soon be ready, come let me show you the bath room. "What's your name?" Agymah asked. "Fafa" I said. He looked surprised. I thought you City people don't take local names. You like foreign names like John, Edwin, Jason, Jerry, Peter, Clifford, Cletus. Etc "What about your Wife?" he asked. "She's my friend. Her name is Abena," I answered. "Not Mary or Janet or Cassandra?" "No," I answered. "My name is Agymah and my two daughters, that one is called called Kakra," pointing to the plump beautiful one at the right of the kitchen. The other one is called Yaba. He pointed to the slim Curvy one with average look.Yaba looked older then Kakra. "My wife is called Abiba. This village is called Awisam. Thanks for the introduction, Mr. Agymah. Mr.Agymah called his wife Abiba. When she came, he asked her to sit beside him. " Now I want you to tell me and my wife about yourself and how you ended up here, "He said Taking a deep breath, I began narrating our story to Agymah. "It all started at the University of Cape Coast when I met Abena one evening during a stroll. We got attracted to each other and ____." I carefully omitted the part where Abena killed her father and where my mother died out of anger when I disagreed with her on Abena's issue. >>fast forward to Awisam village>> I went to the bathroom room which was made of bamboo sticks and on the floor were stones. After bathing with the sponge Mr.Agymah gave me, I was going to the room given to us when I saw one of his daughters staring at me with her eyes widely opened. "Was she attracted to me?" I pretend not to have seen her and walked to my room. When I entered the room, Abena was already awake but still lie on the bed I went and sat beside her. "Hi babe, how are you doing?" "Where are we?" She asked. "We are in a certain village called Awisam. Just get well so that we can go back home,"I said to comfort her. "Home? I don't have a home" I would rather.........." We were talking when someone shook the palm frond door. When I went out , it Mr. Agymah's daughters. One gave us clothes and other gave us food. "Father said they are yours" they said.

EPISODE 19 *FAFA ACCOUNT TO ABENA* "Kuu-kuru-ku-kuuu-oooo" the village cocks heralded the new day. I heard the sound of brooms, fea! fea!! fea!!!.fiii, fii, fea!! A brilliant dawn greeted me when I went out. Abiba was preparing something. I greeted her and asked of her husband. She said he's gone hunting in the forest. A few hours later, he returned with two fat grasscutters. I knew they were going to prepare a palaver soap. How is your friend"?? He said moving towards his lazy chair. She is fine" "Good. The herbs will help her recover soon." "I hope so," said I. I stood up and went back into my room. Abena was fully awake. Her wound was indeed healing speedily. "Now tell me why you delayed in coming back from your hometown and how you managed to rescue me from the jaws of the lion,"Abena requested from me. Her question gave me a mixed feeling, that of sadness and joy. I was sad because mum had died but happy because I rescued Abena from the ferocious jaws of the lion. She realised my mixed mood and asked , "dear, have I asked the wrong question?" "No" I responded. "Then why are you moody?"she asked. "Hmmm. Hmmm, huh. Let me tell you what happened after you abandoned me in my hometown. My mother and I had a verbal exchange. When arguing with my mum, she slipped and fell into the well. "OHHHH!!!" Abena said , holding her head and sobbing. I continued with my narrative. " She was removed from the well and rushed to the hospital but she was long gone. I was arrested and put in a cell , then to the court. The court narrowly vindicated my innocence and I was allowed to walk away a free man. "You are lucky you have not gone to prison. Prison experience is like hell, "Abena said interjecting my narration again. I continued, "when I returned home , my townfolks mobbed up to lynch me. They believed I bribed the police to free me. I managed to escape." "When I went to Cape Coast, I headed straight to your home. Your mother was cold towards me. I asked of your whereabout but no one was willing to talk to me. I left and went to my rented apartment. That evening, I heard a knock on my door. Upon opening it , I saw your younger sister, Yaba. "What do you want here, go home,"I said. "Ohhh,Brother Fafa, I thought you said you want to know where my sister is." She said. Her statement immediately made me attentive. She told me she saw you on the road but you diverted into a bush. She said she pretended she had not seen you and passed by. After she passed by , she said she saw you resumed your journey. She claimed she follow you quietly to the station until you entered a bus heading towards kyekyewere. As soon as she said that, I re-entered my room, took the necessary items, locked my door and left. I rushed to the lorry station and boarded a car. The bus alighted us midway through the journey and I had to trek a vast forest. The journey was tiresome but eventually I found myself in a village after a long walk. After being introduced to the chief, I was accommodated in the stranger's room. I overheard some villagers gossiping. They said a strange girl had escaped from the village and now another stranger had come. One of the girls said the strange girl escaped because the Prince wanted to rape her. "Shhhhh, Shhhhh,Shhhhh,"the other girl cautioned her friend to keep quiet, "even walls have ears." The next day, I asked the hunters in the village to sell me a hunting gun. I told them I would love to follow them hunting. They were quite skeptical but sold me the gun. I returned home that day to relax. Then I saw a picture between the bamboo bed and the wall. It was your picture. Quickly, I left the village that evening into the jungle. I travelled through the night for two days. I was about to give up on the third day when I heard a scream of a female at the extreme South East followed by a roar of a lion. I immediately took my hunting gun and advanced towards the direction of the frightful shriek and screams. Then I saw the lion enjoying your thigh. I was infuriated and shot him. You know the rest of the story." Wow, what an adventurous story. I'm grateful you arrived in the Nick of time to save me" she said. "It's by God's grace you are saved." I told her. She said, "I promised never to ....." Mr. Agymah's came into our room. He enquired if Abena had a sound sleep. She nodded. He said, "This morning, I will like to brief you on certain norms and regulations guiding our village and some taboos or abominations in AWISAM and the punishment attached to these offences. One,during festive weeks, no one leave the outskirts of this village and also no visitor is permitted. Again that river you were coming from is called Pra Nsim. It is our main source of livelihood therefore no one goes near the river or attempt to swim in it on Tuesdays. We believe the river was born on Tuesday so we show it that respect every Tuesday by not swimming in it." I was surprised at all that he was saying. It sounded primitive to me. "What happened to those who goes there on Tuesday or swim in it? I asked. If you go there on Tuesday, you will be banned. If you swim in the river , you will get DROWNED. Three, incest is prohibited. Those who engaged in it are sacrificed to the gods at the shrine by the chief priest. Usually their head is cut off and the their blood is used to cleanse the land which had been desecrated. My mouth was agape by the punishment attached to incest. "How will we get out of here to the city? I asked Mr. Agymah. "We have one car which comes here from the city every market day to buy goods, but they won't be coming this week because the village is preparing to celebrate her annual Festival Awisanum, Mr. Agymah said and left. I wasn't happy to hear that because I wanted to leave the village as soon as possible. My work in the city was at stake. Besides, I don't want to violate the taboos of the village.I glanced at Abena. She said she wanted to stay in the village for as long as she lived.

EPISODE 20 BITTER ROMANCE {ABENA'S POV} *One month later* "Love was more valuable than a precious mineral. It is hard to find but once found , must be protected. True love is magical. It touches you once and leave in its wake a lasting Impression " ☆ I stood up from the bed and walked to the window, the sun's rays and the tall trees make the environment look more naturally beautiful It has been a month since we came to this village, what makes this village more exciting to live is the sound of the drums they play every night even though at first I was quite uncomfortable with it. My wounds were gradually healing. The concoction seemed faster in healing than the artificial medicine. I felt like spend the rest of my life in the village with Fafa. I was drawn out of my fantasies by Fafa's coming. "Hi sweetheart, you are looking more healthier today" Fafa said while he wrapped his hands around my waist from the back. "Yeah, I replied when I turned to faced him. He started singing while rubbing his hands in my hair and slowly. We laid in the room for most part of the day until dusk. *** ~ In the evening @7.30 pm~ We reaffirmed our love for each other. As if to endorse our union, the clouds began gathering and the rain began. We felt like perfect couples amidst the showers of rain. We have limitless freedom and joy. In the room, the two of us were closely knitted. An intense passionate heat coursed through our bodies and drove away the coldness which had encamped us. Our bodies communicated with so much sensation and telepathy that we become very conscious of the signals they were giving us; to be filled with love and passion. Then suddenly, I said, " Fafa, can I kiss you?" Though he wasn't surprise at my request , the sincerity with which I said it really amazed him. He said, "Yes." We kissed passionately as if our lives depended on it. I was ignited with a hot unbridled passion and lust. Then it became more and more passionate. My adrenaline automa tically surged up. He gaped at my gorgeous thighs. I told him to lock the door. Now I knew there was no turning point. The love game has just began. It was clearly emblazoned on our faces. Our hands met. Our fingers intertwined and teasing each other in responsive caresses. Time had gone by and the only words we spoke were signs and facial expressions. He touched my waist and felt my pulse quickened. Our eyes communicated sensual messages. My hands softly touched his right cheek. My left hand brushed through his hair and carresed his earlobes and neck. I trembled. My eyes sparkled with love. As if with some unstoppable forces, our faces moved closer and our lips touched and began to move as one.His hands moved and touched my back and I gasped. My knees weaken with intensity of his angelic kisses. He awoken my deep seated and yearning sensations in full gear. His hands found my zip.Soon, the dress fell under my feet like a pack of rug. I unbuttoned his shirt and trousers My blood boiled with passion. I told him, "Fafa,Your smile warmed my soul and your glary eyes pierced deep into my heart making me fall deeper and deeper in love with you. " " Me too, my heart is burning with your love, " Fafa began, locking his tongue in mine. I toyed with the hairs on his chest. As if hypnotized, I stood watching him wordlessly. On the bed ,we tickled each others erogenous areas. The cold environment contributed to our erotogenicity. We laid on the surface of the raffia mat,closed-together as if any small space between us will separate us from our moment of pleasure or ecstasy. Somewhere along the way I had an intuition that I was treading on dangerous grounds but I decided to trust my clouded senseless emotion. Unknown to me, he was also feeling the same. He said, "Abena, I DON'T WANT US TO GET INTO TROUBLE FOR JUST TEN MINUTES OF SEXUAL INTIMACY AND PLEASURE. LET'S STOP IT. Besides we are not yet married." I was annoyed when he spewed our the " WE ARE NOT YET MARRIED "NONSENSE. It was beginning to look like a cliché. " Fafa, you still have that archaic mentality about sex? Sex is sex, whether in marriage or no marriage. No matter the name given to it in the two scenarios the basic fact is it is still sex, premarital sex, marital sex or post marital sex. It's still sex. Anyway ,does marriage add any value to sex? Even if I agree with you,Let's face the reality. Everybody forbid our love. Even our own families . No one is going to allow or approve of our marriage. To me we are already married from in our heart. Fafa was quiet but didn't resist me again. My heart was beating faster than my thought. "I'm sorry Abena, I can't forni..." SHUT UP, you fundamentalist. You think I don't know your plan. You have eyes for Yaba, that curvy girl and you want to "rock her" when given the chance. The day you taste her nakedness, I will not hesitate to ____" "KILL US?" Fafa interjected. I laughed. You read my mind. But if I'm generous with you I will spate your life but cut your " thing." Always remember our blood covenant. It's for life and death. Even after death, we will still be blood bound." Now make me feel like a woman. " No, I'm sorry, Abena." Fafa said relentlessly and turned away from me and closed his eyes. I stretched my right hand and took the knife under the raffia mat. Suddenly, I was possessed by the spirit of anger. My hand was shaking. Fafa wasn't aware I took a knife. He was sleeping. My hand shook violently. It shook with the knife. I heard my father's voice echoing in my eyes, You will have a bitter love,!!!You will have a bitter love,!! You will have a bitter love,!! I screamed, LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! Suddenly, the knife fell from my hands and the "CLANG" Sound coupled with my scream jolted Fafa from his sleep. He was startled to hear my scream and saw a knife by my side. "Are you sure you don't want to make love to me?" I asked Fafa. He was quiet. If you don't want to bury me in this village talk Now!!! You have Ten seconds to change your mind. 10.....9...8...7..6...5...4.." "Fafa, you are tempting me oooo" Fafa remained nonchalant. "....3...2....1..0." "Erhhhe, your final decision?" I asked him. "NOOOOOO " I won't. "I see. Make sure you don't scream." Suddenly, I took the knife and cut my wrist. Blood spurted on his Face.He screamed,"AWWWWW Abena, OHHHHH,NOOOOOO" I could see my energy and soul leaving me. Then I black out. ***

EPISODE 21 THE COMPROMISE [ Fafa's Point Of View] I rushed to Mr.Agymah's hut and shook his feeble door violently. He woke up quite irritated his sleep was disturbed. "Mr.Agymah, Mr.Agymah, Abena is dying, Abena!! is dying!!!" I could feel my heart jumped into my mouth. I was palpitating. Beads of sweat accumulated on my forehead that cold night. Mr.Agymah woke up quickly and came out. "What happened?" We had a misunderstanding and she cut her wrist.!!! "WHAT?!!!" Mr. Mr.Agymah rushed quickly into the bush and within three minutes came back with Calendula. He mixed it with some black substances and rushed into our room . Abena was lying in a pool of blood. He washed her wound and applied the concoction inside it. I looked at his face. He looked angry with us but chose not to utter a word. Abena was indeed becoming very problematic to him. Her love for me had become an obsession to the point that she value my love for her more than her own life. ●~The next day~● The next day, Mr.Agymah didn't warm up to us as he used to do. I knew in my heart our days were numbered in the village. He gave me the concoction pot and instruc ted me to be applying it on her wound. Abena eventually woke up feeling feverish. She had refused to bath and eat. For one week, she had refused to eat. She grew very emanciated. She grew very very weak. I knew she would soon die. To aggravate the situation, she had refused to talk to me. The fact that Mr.Agymah had turned cold shoulders to us was becoming quite unequivocally✳ clear. After one week, Abena could barely lift herself. I was afraid she would die. I couldn't allow her to die. Her blood will be on my head. It was either I compromise and made love to her so that she will live or I adhere to my dogma✳ and allow her to die. With Mr.Agymah turning cold towards us and a dying girl at my side, I caved in and gave in to her request. After all I had promised to love her till death to us part, though that seemed like a hasty and silly promise to me now. "Okay, Abena, I will do it." I said. Abena suddenly lit up. Her blood returning to her pale face. ~ Two weeks later ~ Abena healed within two weeks after Fafa promised to drop his intransigence✳ and kowtow✳ to her demand. That evening they resumed kissing and touching of erogenous areas of their bodies. Abena felt she was en route to heaven. “You can come "in" now,” she told him. They left the world of pain to the world of pleasure and ecstasy. The room suddenly transformed into the garden of Eden, litting with a blue candlelight and the ground was adorned with soft rosy flowers. Time seemed to stop to witness the solemn display of loveship. Fafa found himself catching fire in the watery warmth of Abena's flesh. They made love as the moon gazed at them in consternation✳, its light pouring on them like golden rain. He finally access "her." The lovematics was a mixture of joy and melancholy✳. Their body chemistry was unnaturally out of tune with each other because they had an awkward✳feeling they shouldn't be doing what they were doing. Fafa was silent. Abena sang a weird song during the sexual intercourse. He's entering my dome. ? What will he find ?? It's a world of adventure ?? Will I scorn ,will I smile My hymen has been broken long ago ? Dry like the desert Or wet like a rain?? What will he do to my membrane I don't want this moment to be over...? I want to cry It's just a bit overwheming Should I stop ? Or..no..carry on...Carry on ?? Whao, whao,Whao, whao . After several bouts of lovemaking , exhaustion crept in and they fell asleep on the raffia bed. Exhaustion became the final arbiter that broke the ecstatic bond and sent them back to the physical world. Finally they had crossed the red line. Their first sex. Honestly, Fafa's first sexual experience was a terrible one because he did it to save Abena from killing herself. GLOSSARY FOR EPISODES 21 ? EPISODE 22 FAFA AND AYABA [As Narrated by Fafa] After my sexual experience with Abena, I knew our relationship would never be the same. Our relationship lacked the spark necessary to sustain it not because there was no love but because of the excesses or extremities✳ of some of Abena's actions which were inconceivable ✳, perhaps mind boggling. While Abena's love for me was increasing day by day, mine seemed to be diminishing as the days went by. Perhaps what I saw in Abena initially was an obsession✳ not love but by virtue of my naïty, I cleverly misunderstood the two emotions. There is just a thin line between love and folly and if Abena's had not cross that line yet, well, I don't know how else to describe it. Perhaps, you can give me another word for that Irrational sentiment ✳ phenomenon. In order to do an introspection✳ I decided to move towards the edges of the village. There was a natural garden at the outskirt of the village. I went into the garden in order to clear my mind and forget about the plethora✳ of troubles between me and Abena. It was around 5.30 p.m. I couldn't help but admired the natural ambiance✳ of the garden and the aesthetical✳ nature of the garden. The flowers Spathodea campanulata, Bignonia ceae,Adenium obesum, Protea cynaroides, Aloe arborescens made the garden one magnificent paradise of a sort. I saw a lover's bench in the garden and sat on it. The bench was placed under some trees in the garden. Tears trickled down my cheeks involuntarily. As I sobbed, I became aware of the presence of somebody behind it. It was instinct. I turned round and there she was; The oldest daughter of Mr.Agymah; AYABA!! She was sparkling with smiles. Ayaba was a very lovely lady. Her smile was so infectious that she'd light up the environment with her glee. I don't know the extent to which I could describe her unique beauty because no word artist could use words to perfectly paint a picture of her. She had such an unblemished✳ and alluring beauty making me believe that some things could be perfectly made like her. A lot of things made her beautiful but her strongest point of attraction was her bootylicious body, her curves gave her a unique feminine touch. I couldn't ruled out her eyes either. They were unimaginably attractive. I felt magnetized by her charming eyes. Her eyes sparkled in the glimmer ing sun. She had a slender waist, whistling down from her bust, as smoothly as the water cascading from a waterfall. The bends of her hips was so voluptuous that you feel as if it has been carefully carved out by the creator. Her bosom was remarkably full. Her glistening Brown skin ,infused with a hint of cream ,correlated with her perfect figure. There is no denying the fact that her physique was more than enough to give heart ache to any of the pasers by,as it surely cause my heart to skip uncontrollably. Her charmy features made it difficult for me to look away.Tough for a mortal to not feel something , something greater than an instant infatuation. Ayaba was flawlessly made. She was a indeed an icon of beautiful. I knew she loved and admired me but I also like her. Looking through her eyes,I knew she was up some thing. "Hi handsome, what are you doing here alone, looking forlorn✳?" Ayaba asked. " Hmm. Nothing really.Just reflecting on life....." "And brooding✳ on your sorrows," she remarked. I know you are not happy. You have a serious misunderstanding with your girlfriend. Isn't it?" "Yea." She sat beside me on the lover's bench and patted me on the back "I'm here for you," Ayaba said. "Tell me, what's wrong?" I kept quiet. She pulled me closer to her and hugged me. I felt her hands at my back cares sing the hair on my head .I didn't utter a word. She saw it as a sign of cooperation. She was emboldened and sat on my lap. The softness of her buttocks send sensual signals down my sensitive cord. **** "Allow me to wipe away your sorrows" she continued. I believe she understood how I felt. Then She began singing for me. **** Be Your Driver Song by Ebony Reigns Request to ride with me yeh Be your driver whenever ure calling me Oh na na na na Trynna enjoy the breeze Hold the moment even when I'm up from sleep oh yeah U a boy from farid for instance Mana yard dis a mi never give chance Gwan away far away from mi senses oh lord oh lord oh lord oh 2* Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme all your love And i'll give u, give u, give u, give u, give u all my riders 2* Me have a question for you Whenever a star gets comfortable Ey I think sey girl I bad over u As u cnt get through coz u want to I laugh u a laugh cos u fornit The song made me feel complete and all the tears I held started dropping from my eyes. The song melted my heart away. I was drowning in the melody of her sweet voice. Did she sing for me to tell me how she felt about me or just to make me happy?? We stayed there for almost two hours. I was fully aware of what Loving Ayaba could cost us. It was getting dark and I told her we need to go back home because darkness was approaching. The truth was I didn't want to go even though the place would be dangerous in the dark but I knew if Abena chance on us there, Ayaba's life would be in danger. She took my hands. We both stood and faced each other. I stare at how she smiled, her lips was adorable and inviting a kiss. She moved closer to me. I could feel her breath on my face. "kiss me Fafa" she said. I didn't comply. She moved her lips more closer to mine and closed her eyes waiting to feel my lips on hers but I rather kissed her on her cheeks. She opened her eyes, stunned, saying, "Fafa, tell me the truth.Don't you love me?" "Ayaba, there is a greater issue than love. My love for you in this matter is infinitesimal. The principal issue is something I could not relay to you." "Tell me, please. Trust me on this, what is the issue?" We resume our seat on the lovers' bench and I began telling Ayaba the genesis of my relationship with Abena to the point we arrived in their village. I ommitted the part Abena killed her father and where my mum fell into the well. I only told her our parents died as a result of this love which they forbid. I, however told her the truth about our blood covenant and why I could not be in love with any other woman or date anyone. She was very sympathetic and even cried when I told her of the blood covenant. "Ayaba, you see why I cannot reciprocate your love as you desired?" " Hmmm. I see but I can't promise leaving you," She said. I told her, " I don't want to see you get hurt. Loving me will send you to your grave prematurely. Abena is obsessed with me. In fact she's a DANGEROUS LOVER WHO IS CAPABLE OF HURTING YOU when she become suspicious of our secret love so Ayaba, let's not open the Pandora box.ℹ Ayaba was speechless. "Okay, it's getting late. Let's go" I said. I allowed Ayaba to go first before I followed her in fifteen minutes time. **** GLOSSARY FOR EPISODE 22 *Inconceivable ✔ Unable to be conceived or imagined; unbelievable. *Ambiance✔ A particular mood or atmosphere of an environment or surrounding influence. *Pandora box✔ something that can lead to trouble/problem or great suffering. *obsession✔ A compulsive or irrational preoccupation. EPISODE 23 ❣BROKEN OATH ●~One week later ~●. It was Saturday afternoon around 1.00 pm. No one was in the house. Abena had gone to see Rita Kuma, her new found friend. She hardly stay at home those days. Mr.Agymah had gone hunting and His wife had visited her aunt in the village nearby. Kakra, Ayaba's younger sister had gone out. The house was virtually empty. I was reading a story book titled "Web Of Love" when i heard a knock on my door. I opened the door and it was Ayaba. She came to my room with bells onℹ. “What are you doing here?" I asked her. She said. “I WANT TO GIVE YOU A GIFT. "Which gift ?" The gift every man would want to take from a woman," she replied succinctly. I was still confused because she didn't carry anything with her. Then realisation dawned on me. She wanted to give me "the gift of VIRGINITY" She looked into my eyes naïvely and said, " I want to give my virginity to you as a gift. You are the only man whom I am truly attracted to and I can't think of any other way to keep your memory with me other then giving you my most precious gift as a woman. Please don't say "NO" because if you reject me I will..." "Sssshhhh, you don't need to tell me what you will do. I have seen it in your eyes already. You are also ready to die for me , just like my girlfriend Abena." Ayaba smiled and say , "let's get started before we get caught." Before my very eyes, Ayaba removed her clothes to expose her pendulous breast with dangling nipples surrounded by a dark areola. I was totally hypnotized. It looked more like a dream than reality. Could this be an apparition? A village lady with exceptional curves and sterling feminine features. God might have designed this daughter of Eve with a special clay. "C'mon Fafa, don't just stand there and looking at me as if you've never seen a naked woman before. I put my left hand on her right shoulder and began to play with her boobs. She grabbed my "phallus" saying “I have never held one before."You are the first man to ever see me in the nude before. I love you.I want to give you my body, please take it easy on me. As I told you earlier, I am still a virgin." I was put in a dilemma, I wanted her but not really in the way she was going about it. I couldn’t think of what to say to her than. “ Ayaba, I love you .” It escaped me quickly before I realized it. I was letting my heart speak not my head. I damned the consequences of tomorrow and embraced the passion of the moment. She began kissing my chest, sending electrical signals throughout my body. She kept on kissing my sensitive areas .That was the last straw that broke the camel's back. I took charge and laid her on her back tickling her tantalizing tits. She moaned loudly. "Shhh, keep your voice down" I told her. My efforts to access her "gate of paradise" proved futile. I applied a little pressure on the hairy spot and the tip of my finger got inside , She closed her eyes and said. “Be careful, it hurts.” " Sorry," I said," I don't want to hurt you.” She said. “ my love for you is limitless. I don't mind if you hurt me." I mounted her and directed my phallus towards her gate of pleasure again and applied a little more pressure there with the sole intention of sinking through the valley of sweetness but I was gentle because I didn’t want her to feel much pain. She asked me, " Fafa, what are you waiting for?" just do it….Just do it.” Still I was hesitant. I couldn’t plunge it in real deep because I felt it was going to hurt her. The entrance to her chamber of ecstasy was too tight. In fact Block tight. I applied more pressure on the fleshy depression again and again the barrier of flesh refused to allow me access the chamber of ecstasy. I relentlessly exert pressure on the intersection of the "V." line. No success? …again!...again....!!again !!!!, she commanded me. I said," Ayaba, please let's stop this …...." "Keep quiet and show me the man in you, Ayaba said rather authoritatively." Her words seemed to reinvigorated my efforts. My phallus became highly tenacious and its tenacity was rewarded. There was a snap in Ayaba's Anatomy. The tender hymen was torn allowing the sacred hall to be opened for first entry. She screamed, "ajeiiiiiii, awww, ohhh" and held me tight. The abruptness send a sharp pain across her body. The result was a stream of blood spilling on the raffia mat. She grabbed me so tightly as if leaving me will lead to her demise. She said. “ Fafa , continue. Don’t stop.” I continued diving hard and deep into her. She closed her eyes pretty tight trying to bear the bitter-sweet experience. The swiving made our bodies contract and relax simultaneously in spasm. We moaned loudly with joy as I dived deeper into the fleshy folds of her inner core. At that point, my sense heightened, as if a gigantic magnetic field was put between us. I moved up and down within the parameters of her inner chamber of pleasure amidst her high pleasurable moans "Awwww, babe,I love it!,Awww,my God,Oh, it's so sweet... and hot, Awww, babe, I'm cummin** ,babe!!!,babe, babe Give it to me!!!!" It felt so good. It felt like everlasting happiness. After much work, I eventually retreated from her vortex of pleasure. The temporary pause seemed to reinvigorate me and it began all over again. We had series of afternoon sex. The room which had been transfor med during our copulation suddenly re-transformed from a paranormal status to its normal appearance, the rosies, candles and blue lights suddenly obliterated from view. Finally, we both laid panting on the raffia mat, heavily in exhaustion. Goodness is not everlasting. I took her hand and wrapped mine around hers. Ayaba told me she was happy for one thing. I was the first man to ever visit her sacred private chamber of sweetness, a territory many men had tried frantically to explore for the past 18 years. She said I was the lucky one and she had no regret giving me that privilege to deflower her. We laid on the raffia mat and started talking. I asked her,“What came over you?” She responded, "it's love. I love you to the very core of my heart. That's why I have given you my feminine pride. It is an experience I can live with till I die. Ever since I saw you , I told myself, "It has to be you. It will have been with a guy that doesn’t deserve it." I have no regrets Fafa” I complimented her, “You are a sweet girl Ayaba” "Thank you Fafa," she said gleefully full of the joys of spring.ℹ You're welcome, my babe, I said. I must admit having sex with Ayaba was the greatest sexual experience I had had. While having sex with Abena I felt like I was having sex with my own sister. I have been having that feeling for quite sometime now. On the contrary Sex with Ayaba was really exhilarating. She had indeed blown away the cobwebs.ℹ In addition to being very good in bed , Ayaba is a barrel of laughs.ℹ I wished I'm footloose and fancy-freeℹ so that this fresh relationship with Ayaba will go on without any barrier. I knew the "barrier " in my life. Ayaba was full of the joys of springℹ because to her , she had gotten a new lover, oblivious of the danger or perhaps chose to ignore the dangers associated with the guilty pleasureℹ we have engaged ourselves in. Finally, I have crossed another red line of sex. I gazed at the mat. It was stained with patches of blood. Ayaba removed the blood-stained cloth on the raffia mat to go and wash. I'm sure that washing will also do away with my dogma.✳ She was about to unlock the door and go out when the door was suddenly smashed down by a brutal force like a wounded lion poised for an aggressive encounter. Talk of the devil, she materialised through the smashed doorway holding a very dangerous looking danger in her hand. At that point I knew Ayaba and I were dead in advance. The knife-monster was seriously bitten by the jealousy bug and she was seething with anger and venom✳.She knew what we have done ..and then hell broke loose. *** Episode 23 Glossary ? *venom✔ Intention to harm or deprive in an illegal or immoral way. EPISODE 24 MORTAL FIGHT ??☠ {As narrated by Abena} Ever since I suspected Fafa and Ayaba's secret love affair , I had became pistanthrophobic✳ but I thought it was just a figment of my own imagination until I caught them red-handed after having sex in our room. I saw blood stains on the raffia mat. Ayaba had given her virginity to my man, a gift which was stolen from me by my first boyfriend due to my father's stereotype. "How dare you, Ayaba?" I looked at her with vicious eyes and was about to pounce on her when Fafa blocked my way and attempted to take away my dagger. His reaction time wasn't fast enough. I used the dagger to pierce through his palm. He let out a bloodcurdling scream✳ of pain. Ayaba said " I don't regret what just hap____" I couldn't wait for her to finish the statement before I connected my balled fist to her cheek. She swang uncontrollably and was about to fall down but the mud wall broke her fall. She twitched her face in pain. I rushed on her as she leaned against the wall but she reacted by kicking me in the abdomen. Waves of pain ran concurrently through my body. Before I could react she gave me a hot slap. I wheeled under the impact of the slap and crashed onto the ground. Fafa was still screaming in pain clinging to his hand but behind his cry he looked amused his new lover was hitting me. I never knew Ayaba could be that strong. The battle line was drawn for a deadly fight. My adrenaline✳ level had risen beyond normalcy. I leapt in the air like a possessed demon and landed on her. We both rolled on the ground fighting and hitting each other even pulling each others hair. I pelted her with series of blows. She fought back aggressively but my heart was packed with deadly fury. We fought and rolled on the ground like two mad women. Once again Fafa attempted to separate us but I hit him hard in the abdomen with my knee cap. He fell to the ground clutching his abdomen in pain. At one point, I threw Ayaba to the ground and hit her with blows mercilessly. At another point, Ayaba overturned the situation by smacking me to the ground and raining blows on me too. It was a closely fought fight . Muscles crunched as the tussle became difficult to break. Then Ayaba attempted an uppercut .I dodged but a fraction of her blow brushed past my jaw. It was a vicious blow. In retaliation, I connected my balled fist onto her rib cage. She let out a blood curdling noise and screamed in agony. She also used her elbow to jab me aggressively in the stomach. I bent down holding my abdomen with my back turned towards her. She jumped on my back. Quickly, I swang and lowered my right shoulder, flipping her off my back, sending her smashing on the mud wall. Part of the mud wall broke, and she found herself under a pile of broken pieces of blocks. I advanced on her. With one decisive uppercut, I caught her on the cheekbone. Blood gushed out of her mouth and nostrils. As she was about to launch another attack on me, I feint and struck her on the leg. I moved on her, trying to capitalise on the situation to beat her to a pulp. The impact of my blow on her legs cause her to trip and fell. As I got closer to her, she managed to stand and attempted to slap me but I held her arm in mid air with my left hand. She was gasping for air and obviously tired and exhausted. I flipped her arm down and grabbed her neck. Once again she struggled with me like a determined lion and forced my hands off her neck but I grabbed her neck again after a muscle cracking tussle. I pushed her to the ground and mounted her, pinning her firmer on the ground by using my knees like how the white police officer pinned George Floyd to the ground.[#saynotoracism] It seemed as if the more I grew stronger the more she grew weaker. Obviously she was no match for me. I gripped her neck tighter. She gasped for air and more...and more tighter I held her neck. Her body moved violently as she struggled for air to survive. "You are chocking her to death, LEAVE HER NOW!!" Fafa shouted at me. Fafa's shout infuriated me more than anything and I increased my grip on her neck. "NO!!!, SHE MUST DIE. She is guilty when she tasted what I have vowed no woman will share with me." I continued gripping her neck with my power hand; the right while using the left to beat the living daylight out of her. Suddenly Fafa flipped me off and I crashed on the mud wall. She made use of that opportunity to lift herself from the ground. I thought she was going to ran away but she jumped on me like a possessed being and pelted me with deadly blows. I overturned her and mounted her again. The tussle became more and more difficult to break. Then I saw my dagger at the right, a few metres from the tussle point. I stretched my hand and picked the dagger. As quickly as I could, I grabbed the dagger and swang it in the air to pierce her throat. A strong hand blocked my right hand in mid air before the dagger pierce Ayaba's neck. It was Fafa's hand. I turned round momentarily to give him a scornful look. The dagger fell to the ground. Ayaba used that moment to picked the dagger and stabbed me heavily on my right thigh. Blood gushed✳out freely and I screamed. I advanced towards Ayaba again, pushing Fafa roughly out of the way. I struggled to pull the dagger out of Ayaba's hand. The knife sliced through my palm leaving in its wake a trace of blood but I extracted the dagger from her and while targeting to plunge it into her stomach once and for all, she managed to dodged the arc of strike and used her leg with the intention of kicking the knife out of my hand. That was her mistake. I held her left leg firmly and plunged the knife into her foot gruesomely. She let out a painful shriek and collapsed. I rushed towards her again but Fafa grabbed me violently from behind and I reacted aggressively. Still, he grabbed me with his hand dripping with blood. As we struggled, we crashed our head onto the mud wall and blackout. *** When I woke up , I saw myself in a room with Fafa. It wasn't our room. Fafa was still sleeping. Our deep wounds have been dressed up neatly. My anger had subsided. I thought I would be very angry with Fafa but I wasn't. When I set my eyes on him sleeping, my pain had left me immediately. I asked myself why we were moved into a bamboo room. I knew why. We have broken the mud house during the aggressive encounter with Ayaba. Mr.Agymah came into the room. His entry woke Fafa up. We expected to see him hot with anger. After all, I have just fought with his daughter and probably hurt her. Quite surprisingly, he was all smiles. Fafa and I looked totally stunned. Surely something was wrong some where. Then he said, "You know what, Personally, I forgive you for fighting Ayaba but I don't think the villagers will. It is forbidden for women to fight each other in a house unless an outsider attack them. Without waiting for an answer, he turned around and left. That evening , we were not serve our usual supper. We slept in hunger. The consequence of biting the finger that feed us.ℹ GLOSSARY ? *Pistanthrophobic- is the fear of trusting people due to bad experiences with prior lovers *bloodcurdling- extremely alarming or horrifying, like a sudden, piercing * Gush- A sudden rapid outflow. *Biting the finger that feed you- If someone bites the hand that feeds them, they behave badly or in an ungrateful way towards someone who they depend on.

EPISODE 25 THE CHIEF PRIEST'S REVELATION {Abena's POV} The next day, three muscled and fearful looking men came into Mr.Agymah's compound. The men greeted him in their local dialet language. "What brings you to my house this morning"? he asked. "Our highness the chief wants you and the visitors in your house at the palace" One of the chief's guards said in an angry manner. "We will be there soon" Mr. Agymah's said. The men left. "We need to go and see the chief," he said to Fafa and I.Fear crept into my heart. Why have they summoned us? ~At the chief's Palace ~ The chief and the elders were already seated when we went to the palace. The palace had an aesthetic✳ appeal. It was decorated with a leopard's skin and the chief's stool was beautifully designed in golden colors with strange symbols emblazoned✳ on it. Mr. Agymah greeted the chief in their local dialet. " Me pa wo kyε Maaha" They responded" Yaa agya" They gave him a seat while we were allow to stand. The chief spoke through his linguist. "We had an information that you are harbouring these two strangers in your house, that's why I called for you to verify it. " "Thank you my chief, this young man here is Fafa and his friend is Abena. They lost their way into our village after Abena was bitten by a lion. She was dying and I decided to show them some kindness. "You an elder and you know that any stranger that comes to our village must be scrutinized by our chief priest first before they are allowed to stay among us in the village. This is how we safeguard ourselves against our enemies." "I understand, chief, it's an oversight on my path" Mr.Agymah said. " What you do is childish, what of if they are sent as spies by our enemies? How will we know? Mr. Agymah remained silent. There was an argument among the elders. " Did you tell them the norms and culture and taboos in this village after harbouring them?" Mr. Agymah said he did. I have heard some reports that the girl, Abena ...or Yes...Abena is troublesome. They say she is very aggressive to the point of fighting with your daughter Ayaba yesterday . Is it true? Mr. Agymah was quiet. "I commanded you to speak NOW!" the chief said angrily. Reluctantly, Mr.Agymah said, "YES, it's true." The chief asked , " how can you keep strangers who beat your own daughter in your house after feeding them and providing them with shelter. Mr.Agymah was quiet. "What is the cause of the fight anyway?" Mr.Agymah was quiet for some time and said, "they are fighting over a man." "Who?" Mr.Agymah pointed his finger at Fafa. The chief said, "I see, but this issue may go beyond ordinary fight for love. I felt it has a deeper meaning, like a spiritual underpinning. We need to know who they are and why they are in our village. Tomorrow, we will consult the chief priest and see what the oracles have to say about them. ~The next day~ <Third Person's narration> * At Ogbugbandze shrine * The shrine was in the heart of the deep forest. It took half an hour of continuous walking to reach there. Abena and Fafa were taken to the shrine by the representatives of the chief and some bodyguards to consult the oracles. Oracles were housed in secret groves surrounded by thick bushes. The home of oracle was a forbidden territory. It is believed that anyone who saw an oracle will surely die. Only the chief priest ever looked upon the face of an oracle; Suppli cants never approach an oracle directly. The chief priest of the oracle serve as the mouthpiece of the deity that dwelt in the shrine. They are regarded as intermediaries between humans and the deities. The words of a chief priest were final in all matters because the forces he or she represented were higher than all secular powers. To disobey the orders of the chief priest was to disobey the deity he or she represents. When they reached the shrine, the chief priest said, "STOP, REMOVE YOUR SLIPPERS OVER THERE!!!" After they removed their slippers they were allowed to enter the yard. They were made to sit on palm fronds while the chief priest entered into the inner room to consult the vodoo or the Oracle. They heard him doing some incantations to the Oracle (deity). Most chief priest employed magical techniques like “throwing” of objects such as bones or beads and “reading” a message from the patterns in which they fall. Another form of divination involves killing a chicken and examining its entrails to obtain the information sought. In some cases diviners also have extensive knowledge of herbal remedies, which they use in treating illnesses. After abou an hour, he came out sweating. The chalk markings and embroidery on his body almost faded. One of his eyes was encircled in chalk markings, probably the spiritual eye. He said, "a great abomination had been committed." {Abena's POV} The representatives of chief were worried. The chief priest gazed at us for a very long time. Everyone was attentive. Then he turned to the representatives and said," One of the two lovers here was cursed by her parents. He looked at me and then turned to face the chief's Reps. Abena stabbed her father because of her love for Fafa. Before her father died, he cursed her by saying , "I wish you a BITTER LOVE. The look on my face betrayed my fear. Everybody turned to look at me. The chief priest continued, "Fafa's mother died as a result of his involvement with Abena yet he vowed to love Abena till death do them apart. "Hmmm. He even did a blood covenant with her. By so doing he unknowingly participated in Abena's crime. I thought he would be smarter than that but Abena had succeeded in blinding and binding him with her obsessed love. Now the two of them were linked physically and spiritually. Any evil spirit that follows one is easily transferred to the other by virtue of the blood bond. Fafa thus shared in the cursed of Abena." "Now , this is the greatest of all the abomination." The chief priest turned to Fafa and I. He said, " hmm, my children. Why have allowed irrational passion to control you?" " Abena, you sleep with FAFA , YOUR OWN HALF BROTHER.!!! "What!!!?" We both said in unison. Now listen to me, Fafa. Your mother Sitsofe dated Abena's Father, Joe,when he was a military recruit at Sogakope before he finally got married to Mamee Serwaa who is Abena's mother. But that was after Sitsofe broke his heart. Sitosofe, your mother didn't realised she was pregnant for Joe before she agreed to marry Amedeka. It was because of your pregnancy that your mother's marriage with Mr.Amedeka couldn't work. Your father was told Fafa was his oldest son but he denied it because of his seething hatred for Sitsofe. "Fafa, your father Joe attempted to kill you because of three reasons. One , his pure hatred for the Ewes. Joe hated Ewes after your mother broke his heart. He abhorred anything "Ewe." Two, he wanted revenge. Seeing you kept reminding him of your mother's betrayal. Since he couldn't kill your mother outright, he decided to vent his anger on you. Three, he wanted to reduce the possibility of incest. Sitsofe told him about you and while he wasn't very sure what she told him was true, he didn't want a situation where incest will occur. He turned to me. "Abena, your father knew you are obsessed with Fafa and the only way out was if he die." The chief priest became very sober.✳ He said, "Abena, you forced your own brother to sleep with you on our soil. That is a serious taboo , a sacrilege.✳" and you will be punished accordingly. Tears flooded my cheeks and my heart was full of grief and sorrow. My father told me I was related to Fafa but he wasn't detailed about it. But even if he had told me the truth ,I wouldn't have let him go anyway. Then the Chief Priest pronounced his judgment..." ******* GLOSSARY ? *Aesthetic Concerned with beauty, artistic impact, or appearance. * Emblazoned To adorn with prominent markings. *sober Serious *sacrilege Desecration, profanation, misuse or violation of something regarded as sacred.

EPISODE 26 DEADLY PRONOUNCEMENT ☠☠☠ {Abena's Narration} "This is what the gods have said,...." The chief priest turned to the representatives of the chief again, and said , "Abena will be sacrificed to appease the gods on Tiwanak day which is two weeks from now." This is because she had defiled our culture and committed a great sacrilege and abomination on our land. The land must be cleansed with her blood."(Tiwanak day is the day the villagers outdoor their annual festival ) The gods said Fafa was quite innocent because he was compelled to have sex with Abena to save her from killing herself. For that matter, he will not be sacrificed but he will also be imprisoned with Abena for a week after which he will be brought out and whipped at the public place 100 lashes for allowing Abena to manipulate him. He will remain in the village until the great festival. Then he will be sent off after another ritual is perform for him.The gods also said he had been LIBERATED from the BLOOD COVENANT which he was compelled to make with Abena. The blood Covenant had been broken because he slept with a VIRGIN.The purity of the virgin's blood had liberated him from that bondage and he is free to choose whoever he wanted to be with. That is the message from the gods. For the meantime, they will remain in the chief's prison, admist heavy security until Fafa is released a week from now and Abena is sacrificed the subsequent week." The Reps went and relay the information to the chief. He said , " so be it." We were taken off by the guards to the Chief's Prison and locked up to await our deadly fate. Fafa sat beside me on the only raffia mat in Prison. I placed my head on his chest and asked him , " are you going to abandoned me to my death now?" "No, babe" I said, "You promised to love me till death do us apart, Fafa." "I know," he said. "Am I really going to be sacrificed?"I asked him. "No babe, I won't allow anything to happen to you" he reassured me. I looked relieved when he said that. "Smile for me. I missed that beautiful smiles of yours,"Fafa said. I placed my head on his laps and smiled. We were told our food and anything we need would be provided for us. "It all my fault , if i didn't fall in love with you this wouldn't have happened to me." Tears started to gather under my eyes. I cried and screamed and rolled on the ground. When he noticed my sorrow, he came and held me in his arm and took me from the floor. "I'm Sorry babe, he hugged me and kissed my cheeks. My father's words echoed in my head "I wish you a BITTER LOVE.", I wish you a BITTER LOVE." "I wish you a BITTER LOVE. BITTER LOVE!! BITTER LOVE!!! BITTER LOVE !!!LOVE!! LOVE !!!LOVE!!! LLLOOOVVEE. L-L-LO-OO-OOO-VVVEEE! I screamed like a mad woman, FATHER !!!LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! I SAY L-L-LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! LLLLLEAVE ME ALOOOONNNE!!!! Fafa cuddled and consoled me. Let to me alone I would have attempted something but for once I decided to exercise a little bit of decorum✳ before I die. Two days later, Fafa was taken out of the prison. I knew he was going to be whipped 100 times . [Fafa's Narration ] Two muscled men , probably the chief's guards took me from the prison and dragged me to the yard for my punishment. The villagers were gathered to witness the retribution. These punishments may be cruel, inhumane and degrading, and amount to torture but in the village, that unspeakable cruelty in public was a justifiable punishment for incest even if one party is innocent. I was stripped off my shirt and trousers and made to mount a platform. I was bound to a pole closer to the platform with both hands tied in front. Then several canes were brought. They looked long and thick. The canes were made of wood. There were also several whips made from the thick hide of animal skin. It's more like a flagellum.✳ At the edges of the whips were tiny piercy metals and bones with the intention to lacerate✳ my skin when the whip landed on the bare skin. In truth it was more like I was going to be scourged. The flagellum or flagrum was more like the old British cat o’ nine tails, except that the flagellum was not designed merely to bruise or leave welts on its victims. The flagellum was a whip with several (at least three) thongs or strands, each perhaps as much as three feet long, and the strands were weighted with lead balls or pieces of bone. This instrument was designed to lacerate the skin. A large crowd gathered to watch the event. One of the muscled men took the cane and the other one took the whip. Then I was blind folded. Then the lashes began landing on my bare back. At first I absorb the pain and clenched my teeth but after 40 lashes, I knew I will soon collapse. With the painful impact of the lashes on my flesh , I remem bered the day I promised to love Abena till I die. I was so shocked that even my tears would not drop. The weighed thongs struck my skin so violently that it broke open. The bystanders were struck with amazement when they saw them lacerated with scourges even to the innermost veins and arteries, so that the hidden inward parts of the body, both my bowels and their members, were exposed to view. I was beaten with the flagellum from the shoulders to the loins yet I endured the torture. The pain was becoming too excruciating. I wanted to scream, but I could not even control my voice. When the lashes reached the 60 mark, I began to scream. The villagers laughed. The canes landed unabated, each strike sending painful wave into my body. At a point , the pain became so unbearable that I wish death could be the only escape route for me. My body was drenched in sweat, the result of excessive canning. The beating left me bloody and weak, in unimaginable pain, and near the point of death. Soon I collapsed. When I opened my eyes later, I found myself in a room made with palmfrond. It was at the outskirt if the village. I could feel severe excruciating pains at my back, a sharp reminder of the gruesome and barbaric punishment meted out to me for committing incest. My mind went to Abena. She had one week more to live. I have to do something about her situation. It was evening time. Darkness was spreading its thick blanket on the village , the sun went home in her gloomy state, having witnessed the cruelty meted out to me by a fellow human being. The night was descending heavily and the happy moon was slowly announcing its presence. The natural ambience of the village was lost, hidden under the thick canvas of darkness. I heard movements and turned round. There she was , carrying food in one hand and herbal medicine in the other hand. Painfully I smiled. ❌************❌***********❌ GLOSSARY *Decorum Appropriate social behaviour * Retribution Punishment inflicted in the spirit of moral outrage or personal vengeance. * Flagellum A whip *Lacerate *strands

EPISODE 27 THE LAST LOVEMAKING [Fafa's Narration] "Ayaba, what are you doing here?" I asked. "Is that question really necessary?" She asked me. I was quiet. I brought you some food and medicine. Eat and use the herbal medicine. I wish you a speedy recovery. She kissed me and dashed off into the darkness before I could say "thank you. I ate the food as if I have been starved of food for 100 years. Then I relaxed in my lonely room. I was expecting Abena to come back the next day but she didn't. The herbal medicine worked like magic. The next day, my pain subsided. On the third day,in the evening, I heard footsteps approaching my hut-like room. I was happy. I'm sure Ayaba is coming. Then she materialised into my room. It wasn't Abena. It was kakra. She brought me some food and a clean blue shirt. Her plump features made her looked more mature than her true age which I conjectured✳to be 16. She gazed at me and smiled. "Where is Ayaba?" I asked. She's busy. She can't come today, she answered. "I see." "She asked me to bring you this food," Kakra said, handing the food over to me. She smiled at me with glee. I forced myself to smile back at her. She looked away as if she was trying hard to conceal something. Beauty truly ran through Mr.Agymah's family. "I like you Fafa," Kakra said. "I can see that but I hope it's just normal likeness," I said. "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha," Kakra laughed hysterically without answering. She held my shoulder and politely asked to see my wound. I turned my back towards her. She lifted my shirt and looked at the stripes made by the excessive canning. She rubbed the wound with some palm for a few minutes and asked me to turn round. When I turned round, she looked into my eyes and smiled with a great hilarity.✳ "You are such a gentle and cool-spirited guy . I'm happy my sister is in love with you. Then kakra began to speak as if someone was speaking through her. She said, "My son, If I were you, I wouldn't think of that she-devil again. She had been the cause of all your troubles, I beg you, don't let this girl send you to an early grave. She may be your ......Half Sister but her path is a path of destruction. Pleassssse, think about what I said. DON'T LET HER RUIN YOUR LIFE. My son.....I WARN YOU oooo." I was surprised Kakra was admonishing me like my mother. I was afraid of her when she continued..." I have forgiven you for disobeying my instruction but it's time for you to find your true path. I have done my path as your......" "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT...UP " I commanded Kakra ( or was it her) Then I shook her. Suddenly she came into her normal self and said, brother Fafa, what happened?" "I don't know," I said still looking at her with so much apprehension. "Did I say something wrong?" She asked. "You were talking like my mother,"I said. "Me? How? I don't even know her, how can I talk like her?" It was then that I realised my mother was speaking to me through Kakra. "I'm sorry Kakra, I'm just joking." I said to calm the situation. It worked. Her smile came back to her face. Kakra said," By Tomorrow, you will be one hundred percent fit. Bath and change your shirt." "Ok, I said." "Have a good night." She said and quickly left. After she left, I remained on one spot dumbfounded. Did I just hear my mother's voice through Kakra. Her concerns for me were really genuine and her advice to me sounded very logical.Hmmm." *** The following evening Ayaba came into my palmfrond hut beaming with smiles. She greeted me and sat down. "I'm sure you are okay now, " she said with such a finality that left me wondering what made her so sure of that. "Yea, I'm good but I'm still traumatised." Ayaba said, "don't worry , I will give you something sweet to remove your painful experience?" I knew what Ayaba meant by "SOMETHING SWEET." I tried to change the topic .... "How's your father and mother?" "My parents were disappointed in your girl...f....I mean your ..Sister. They say you don't deserve such an aggressive girl." "I see, so who do I deserve?" Ayaba was quiet. She open her thighs. Ayaba fit into the perfect definition of a beautiful lady. Curvy figure, round breast, set lips and amorous eyes. I couldn't help but gape in between the acute angle. She was really endowed with a thick and gorgeous body. Me eyes travelled all the way through the acute angle until the angle narrowed much more at the core into a sharp "V" My God!!! There was no pant there! ???????‍♂️ I could see the flames of love burning incessantly in her eyes. She held my face and kissed me passionately. I was ignited with a hot unbridled passion. Her eyes glowed like that of a hunting cat’s in that dimly lit room.In her very soft melodious voice, she said , "my love for you is infinite. I touched her waist and felt her quickening pulse. Her beautiful eyes communicated sensual messages to me. Without words, I held her hands. We stood together very close and gaze with a longing in our respective eyes. My hands softly touched her right cheek. Her eyes closed as her face turned in my hands. My left hand brushed through her hair and carresed her earlobes and neck. I felt her tremble. Her eyes grew deeper and sparkled with rays of love. I knew there was no turning point. Our hands met. The fingers inter twined and teasing each other in responsive caresses. As if with some unstoppable forces, our faces moved closer. Cheeks touched cheeks and I felt my growing moustache cautiously touching her cheeks. In a moment that seemed like eternity, our lips touched and began to move as one. Her lips melted into mine. My hands moved and touched her nipples. She gasped. Her knees weaken with the intensity of my kisses. I could feel the rhythm of her heart beat when she saw "the thing rising." I knew Ayaba was not Phallophobic.✳ *** My hands moved away to her back and found her Zip. "The dress fell under her feet like a pack of rug. She stepped out of her them. Her hand wanted to lift off my shirt but later decided to unbuttoned them in haste. Both shirt and trousers were thrown away. My blood boiled with passion. She gazed at my body. The stripes were even disappearing. I was almost completely healed. I said, "thank you for bringing me medicine and food." She said," anything for you." Then my arms encircled hers. Our bodies synchronised as if they were designed for each other. My lips were skating over her breasts. Our breaths mingled. We fall into each other, and feel the natural rhythm, locking our eyes onto ourselves for just a moment to assess our level of sincerity. It was enough for us to feel safe with each other's composure. I started caressing her from her bosom downward and my hands moved in between her legs groping for the "valley of pleasure " in the core as if I have forgotten its geographical location. The effect was instantaneous. She pushed her head on the raffia mat as a low moan escaped her lips involuntarily. When my hands finally reached their targeted destination, around the orifice of her private chamber, she let out a loud "OHHH,YEEEAAA!!! Sound. Then it reached her honeypot causing her to reach a crescendo of unimaginable ecstasy and excitement. Then I inched my head closer until my lips were flushed against hers. I could see the authenticity✳ of her love for me. It was evident through her eyes. The eye is indeed a window to the soul. This " window " had been opened wide enough for me to see. I gave her a heavy petting and then tucked my hand behind her back and pulled her very closer to the very thing that made me a man. As we got closer and tighter, I got into her " valley of joy," that valley being the only space left for me to habitate to signify our conglomeration✳ bonding us into one homogenous being. With that bond, we teleported ourselves from the painful physical world into the world of ecstasy, pleasure and laughter. *** The room suddenly transformed into the garden of Eden. Suddenly, it seemed lit with a blue candle light and the ground was adorned with soft rosy flowers. Birds seemed to chirup incessantly in our eyes and we heard " la la la la la sounds all round us." Time seemed to stop to witness the solemn display of love at its Zenith, so young, so tender, so romantic. I felt I was en route to heaven and found myself catching fire in the watery warmth of her flesh. We made love, the pungent scent of our bodies’ juices mingling with each other. The lovematics was overwhelming. Our chemistry was naturally in tune bringing series and series of pleasure and great ecstasy, leaving Ayaba gasping for breath as she kept moaning uncontrollably. It was cacophonious✳at first but her later became euphonious✳ adding to the tempo of the banging. The moon tore itself out of the dark sky and gazed at us with shining eyes, very much in consternation ✳, its light pouring on us like search lights. Exhaustion became the final arbiter that broke our orgasmic bond. We laid on the bed naked. The room which had been transformed into a fairy tale world during our Swivation suddenly re-transfor med from its paranormal status to its normal appearance, the rosies, candles and blue lights suddenly obliterated from view. *** We laid there in the quiet, just enjoying the dead silence of the moment that had just witnessed the secret scene. There is nothing more satisfying than fulfilling the desires of our heart and soul. Our heart can be deceptive. It often follows frivolous fantasies than cogent reasoning. Since fantasies are not real, it stands to think that our hearts often followed unrealistic expectations. Back to the physical world, Abena dressed up quickly and told me, " This memory can last with me for a lifetime." I smiled and said, " me too." I will see you on Friday." said she. "Okay dear, have a sweet Bye." I said and she left, occasionally turning back and seeing me stared lustful at her huge ass, a place that had been my temporary "habitat" just a few minutes ago when we unite. ****************** “Love is blind, they say; sex is impervious to reason and mocks the power of all philosophers. But, in fact, a person’s sexual choice is the result and sum of their fundamental convictions. Tell me what a person finds sexually attractive, and I will tell you their entire philosophy of life. Show me the person they sleep with, and I will tell you their valuation of themselves. No matter what corruption they’re taught about the virtue of selflessness, sex is the most profoundly selfish of all acts, an act which they cannot perform for any motive but their own enjoyment – just try to think of performing it in a spirit of selfless charity! – an act which is not possible in self-abasement, only in self-exultation, only on the confidence of being desired and being worthy of desire. It is an act that forces them to stand naked in spirit, as well as in body, and accept their real ego as their standard of value. They will always be attracted to the person who reflects their deepest vision of themselves, the person whose surrender permits them to experience – or to fake – a sense of self-esteem. Love is our response to our highest values – and can be nothing else.” ― Ayn Rand GLOSSARY ? *Conjectured▶️ A statement or an idea which is unproven, but is thought to be true; a guess. *Hilarity▶️ A great amount of amusement, usually accompanied by laughter. ☆FINAL EPISODE 28☆ ???✌? THE ULTIMATE PRICE ●~Tuesday @ 10.00 P.m~● [Fafa's narration ] Night was falling. The moon was slowly announcing its presence. Most of the village's natural beauty was lost, hidden under the thick canvas of darkness. The nocturnal creatures were becoming active. More darkness emanated from the evening sky. The dorminance of the darkness reigned supreme. The master of the celestial bodies decided to salvage the situation. He lighted the moon to glimmer the blue planet. The giant blanket of darkness that blocked out the sky completely was broken. Moonlit trickled in in enough quantity to temporarily convert the night into day but more darkness emanated from the evening sky as if it was a battle. *** I waited for Ayaba for a very long time but she didn't turn up.It was getting late for her coming. Tomorrow, Abena would be sacrificed. I couldn't watch these barbarians spill Abena's blood. First things first, I will see Ayaba first and then decide how to save Abena. I stood up, wore my shirt and groped through the darkness for the right path to Mr.Agymah's house. I knew Ayaba and Kakra stayed in the same room while their parents stayed in another room. When I reached Mr.Agymah's compound, I knocked on Ayaba's door. It was opened and I entered the room. Ayaba beamed with smiles when she saw me. I looked around for Kakra but she was not in the room. "Where's your sister?" I asked. "She's got her own room now," Ayaba responded. "Okay, I thought you promised to come and see me tonight," I said. "Yes, I do but my father was very suspicious. He was watching me keenly so I couldn't slipped past him." "I see." "I'm happy you took the initiative to come and see me," said Ayaba. Suddenly Ayaba hugged me. I could feel the softness of her breast on my chest. She planted a kiss on my lips. Waves of ecstasy swept across my body and I got "hard" down there. She saw the bulge and smiled. She suddenly lifted her skirt and removed her undie. She then turned round and bent with her voluptuous back towards me. The core of her "engine " was throbbing invitedly ,waiting for me to access it, into her chamber of sweetness. I was about to make that entry when we heard footsteps approach ing her room. We were frightened. "C'mon, Fafa , Jump through the window and run away, it's my father," said Ayaba. It sounded as if Mr.Agymah was trying to cock his gun. I jumped out through the window and ran as fast as I could into the bush. "Who's there!!!?" Mr.Agymah shouted. I ran and ran under the cover of darkness without responding to his question. Then I heard the sound of gunshots. The bullets whizzed past me. I knew the time had come for me to ran away from the village of Awisam. A thought occurred to me. I changed direction and moved towards where Abena was held prisoner, awaiting her sacrifice tomorrow. Surely, I couldn't abandon her to her fate despite her shortcomings. { Abena's Narration } The days seemed to fly away quickly. Tomorrow I will be sacri ficed to the gods. The whole world seemed to abandon me. Any creature looking at me at that very moment would know that I was an unhappy soul. The only companions I had at that time were the mosquitoes that flew over and whispered annoyingly into my ears and the noises made by the bird of evil. Those insects and birds seemed to be sharing in in my sorrows. At least they have been supportive of me even though humans had abandoned me to my fate, even Fafa the L_____" Then I heard the door creaked. My heart skipped a hundred times. Is not yet time..or ? The door was opened and ...am I dreaming? FAFA!!!! I knew it. You will never abandon me. I knew you won't. Fafa hugged me tightly for a few seconds and said, "hurry up!!, let's Start running! The guards will soon be here!!! As if liberated from the prison of misery and hell, Fafa took my hand and we rushed out of the room. We moved towards the forest but saw some guards around the forest. We diverted towards another path but saw guards coming from that route too. We have only one option now. The river; Pra Nsim. We ran and ran as if a dragon or those prehistoric animals (Mammuthus primigenius/Woolly Mammoth) were chasing us. "The prisoners are escaping!!! Hey , you!!!, STOP RIGHT THERE" We heard some guards saying. Then we heard heavy footsteps behind us,followed by the sound of gunshots and whizzing of arrows. The guards were determined to stop us from escaping by every means- fair or foul. We got closer to the river and I held Fafa by his hands tightly. I said, "Fafa, let's dive now. " I don't think we should take this dive. It could be our DEATH TRAP." Said Fafa. "Fafa, if we don't take this dive now, tomorrow , I will be slaughtered like a chicken in the full glare of the whole village. Please Don't abandoned me,Ppppplease!!!!" We saw the guards speeding towards us with sheer tenacity to capture us by hook or crook. We dived into the river just in time before the the guards arrived downstream. We swam as if we are competing in the Olympics. After swimming for about 50 metres, we remembered that day was Tuesday. I remembered Mr. Agymah's warning that It is forbidden to swim in the river Pra Nsim on Tuesday!!! "Let's go back !!" Fafa told me, today is a forbidden day ." "No, Fafa, We will be sacrificed sacrificed if we return " I said. We swam and swam with the aim of reaching the other bank of the river. It was left with about 50 metres to the other bank when I realized Fafa was not following me. Fafa!!, Fafa!!!, Fafa!!!. I turned around to search for Fafa. Then something pulled me downward. I struggled to remain on top of the river as well as swam towards the other bank but the more I struggled to remain afloat, the more I sank deeper and deeper into the river. Water entered my mouth and nose. I gulped load of water immediately I opened my mouth. I tried to shout but my voice was chocked with water. More water entered my nose and throat.I sank so deep under the water that my feet even touched the river bed. I became very weak and lost the power to pull myself upward. Darkness began to engulf me. I felt excruciating pains in my lungs and shimmers of light flashed around me. Then I saw something like an apparition. A thick blanket of darkness descended heavily on me. Then the door blinds of eternity opened . Chains of darkness swallowed me and I began to sink deeper and deeper into a great abyss. I was completely engulfed in pitch darkness into eternity where there is nothingness. I knew no more pain and I couldn't tell what happened to Fafa after I closed my eyes finally.? ●☆●☆●☆●☆●●☆●☆●☆●☆● PROLOGUE The next day, the bodies of the two Lovers floated to the bank of the river. It was as if the river spat them out in disdain for violating its norm. The sight of the two lovers was a sordid sight. Despite her death, the chief priest still used Abena's blood to perform a cleansing and purification rite in the village of Awisam. It was early in the evening. Dark ness was spreading its thick blanket on the village. Arms of sadness wrapped its hands on Mr.Agymah's household. Mr.Agymah blamed himself for being magnanimous to Abena and Fafa who brought such great calamity unto the village-a taboo and sacrilege all of which resulted from Abena's obsession to Fafa. His position as a member of the council of Elders was also taken from him and he became a common man. The bodies of Abena and Fafa were cast into the evil forest. There was one person in particular that was badly hurt by Fafa's death. She was Ayaba. Ayaba cried until no drop of tear could come out of her eyes again. A Search party was organized to look for the two lovers three months after their departure but they arrived late at Awisam village. They were told what happened and they went back home, sad. The story was relayed to the families back home. Maame Serwaa was heart-broken when she heard her daughter drowned in a river with her lover Fafa on a forbidden day. They could not even bring the dead bodies home for burial because their bodies had become abominable things. Ayaba attempted suicide but was saved by her father. Unknown to her, Fafa had left a piece of his life in her. One months after her attempted suicide, she sensed some changes in her body. she put on more weight. Her breast was becoming bigger. She vomited incessantly and she missed her period. She knew she was pregnant for Fafa. Sad to say that child would never see his father. Nine months later Ayaba gave birth to TWINS- a boy and a girl. Fafa and Abena's reincarnation. The boy looked so much like Fafa and the girl looked like Abena. She named the boy Fafavi and the girl Abenavi. Ayaba was determined to nurture her twins to the best of her ability and advised them on the dangers of indulging in a FORBIDDEN LOVE. ?*T>H>E ●*☆*● E>N>D*? .....___.....___....... AUTHOR'S NOTE.✍✍✍ Our parents are the living gods in front of our eyes but this truth dawns on us only when we grow up and become parents. No matter the level of our education, success or status in life we need to acknow ledge the relevance of our parents in our lives and beyond. Most often, they give us gems of advise that we can't find on google or the internet. These nuggets of advise are priceless. If you want a blessed life, don't break your parent's hearts in their old age after they broke their backs carrying you in their young and tender age. Make them proud.Treat your mother with respect and your children will do the same for you when you grow old. Respect and love your parents as long as you have them. You may get everything in life but once they are gone you can't have them back ever. Most children would obey their parents except when it comes to one thing; LOVE. In Song of Solomon 8:6, it was written; Place me like a seal over your heart, For love is as strong as death and its jealousy is as enduring as a grave. Love is equally as strong as death because no one can stop the love between two passionate heart. Love is beautiful but blind love is a blind path to the grave. Blind love give birth to obssession. When two people are blindly in love, they have inadvertently crossed the boundary of normalcy to a para normal world where any logical inhibition will be perceived by the love birds as an obstacle to limitless ecstasy. Blind love drive people so mad that any piece of advice from parents regarding romantic relationships are bitter pills in the throats of the lovers. Love when not put in the correct place could degenerate into a deadly obsession. When two Lovers become obsessed with love, they become hardened to logic and common sense and strengthen their stand against well-seasoned and sound advices from parents creating enmity between parents and children. Pride then takes the place of humility until the determined characters fall miserably into the abyss of reality, pain, misery and death. Don’t underestimate the power of love. Anyone who watch someone "in love" can attest to certain behaviors and mannerisms that are quite foolish and, under normal circumstances, would quite probably embarrass the individual. Blind love is usually the human's weak point. Even the most intelligent ones. They become easy to manipulate if someone affects what they love and "can't live without". They are unable to give up what they love, even for what is right. Infatuation, vengeance, denial, unhealthy attachment, uncontrollable emotions, cowardice, false sense of comfort, and unreasonable actions becomes part of the package. Blind love have deadly consequen ces. Life becomes one big sad story. If you toy with love, It can consume you in its fiery fire. Sometimes these love lead people into fairy tale marriages and sooner or later end up divorced and enemies, regretting the day they ever met. Proverbs 14: 12 said "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death." *** Be careful.⚠️ Don't make this story come true in your life but learn from this story and build a healthy with your partner. Don't leave room for uncontrolled passion and lust. Let the driving force of your love life be mutual respect, commitment, reasonableness and God. If you are already in a relationship like the one in this story, seek divine intervention and re-evaluate yourself.Take Pragmatic steps to resolve things before they escalate.
