This soup is mostly eaten in western part of Ghana it is call Akatewa/agushi soup

Ingredients
2 Cups Powdered Agushi / akatwa
6 Tomatoes
Ginger
Garlic
3 Large onions
Pepper
Chicken
Seasoning- Adobo
Magie cube
Salt to taste
(okro optional )
Method of preparation:
1 Wash and clean the vegetables , thus tomatoes, 2 onions, pepper ginger and garlic.
2 Put them in the saucepan and bring to a boil for about 5 - 6 min
3 Prepare the chicken or meat and chop the 3 rd onion as part of the seasoning .
4 Add your seasons - adobo , margie
5 Take the vegetables of the fire and pour the stock onto the chicken to steam.
6 Allow to steam under a medium heat for 5 - 10 min .
7 Put the vegetables in the blender and blend till smooth .
8 Pour unto the chicken and allow to simmer .
9 Pour the Agushi into a mixing bowl , add about 4 cups of water and mix together.
10 Strain the agushi into a saucepan with a fine strainer.
11 Put it on the hub and stir continuously to avoid the agushi from becoming lumpy .
12 Let it boil for about 5 minutes
13 Add the agushi to the chicken and allow to cook for about
10 - 15 min.
14 Chop some okro, and add to the soup if desired .
15 Taste for salt
16 Allow he soup to simmer for few more minutes. Soup ready when the oil collects on the top .
17 Serve with fufu .
