TO ALL MOTHERS IN THE HOUSE
Dad and Mom were watching TV when Mom said:
"I'm tired, it's late, I'm going to bed."
She went to the kitchen to prepare the sandwiches
for the next day.
She took the meat out of the freezer for dinner the
next day.
She checked that there was enough grain left, filled
the sugar bowl, put the bowls and spoons on the
table for breakfast and prepared the coffee maker.
She put the dirty laundry in the washing machine,
ironed a shirt and sewn a button, she gathered the
toys, she put the phone back on her telephone base
in her place.
She closed the trash bag and went out to spread a
cloth.
Then she yawned, she stretched and she went to her
room.
She stopped for a moment to write a note for the
teacher, she counted the money for the tour and she
picked up a book that was under the chair.
Then, Mom washed her face with wipes, put on
wrinkle cream and brushed her teeth.
Dad shouted, "I thought you were going to bed !!"
"I'm going," she said.
She glanced into the children's room, turned off the
lamps, picked up what was on the floor, put the
socks in the dirty laundry basket and spoke with
one of them who had not not finished his
homework.
Once in her room, she put the alarm clock, she
prepared her clothes for the next day and she put a
little order in her room.
She added three points on her list of urgent things
to do and she represented herself reaching her own
goals.
At that time, Dad turned off the TV and he
announced, "I'm going to bed."
And that's what he did, without thinking twice.
Nothing special ?
One wonders why women live longer ...
