Episode 2 Continues.. ********************** The drive to the hotel was beutiful and crazy as well. We would sing along,laugh,shout and do some naughty dance step. I was not a stranger at our hotel neither do i frequent the place. The name was 'A.J paradise' it was very big with different kind of sections. It was a little difficult to get a place to park on time but we finally did. After securing a parking space, khole said she wanted to make a phone call before joining me in the hotel. I gussed she wanted to call her lover since she was been too secretive about the call. I teased her and told her to let me know my brother inlaw on time before it would be too late. She eventually pushed me out of the car and i walked toward the hotel alone. On my way to the hotel my mom called and she was asking so many questions about our safety. I was still on the phone with mom when khole called my name,i turned back and ended the call with mom,khole was shouting something not audible enough for me to hear. I was still taking backward steps toward the hotel entrance, and asking khole to speak louder since i couldn't hear her. I took one more step when my feet stepped on something hard and my back hitted something as well,or was it someone? "There is no rock here is there?and according to my calculation am yet to get to the hotel entrance". I thought. I was still thinking when The lovly saint of the perfume filled my nostrils and this made me realise i bumped into someone not something. Khole made an OMG expression and i hurriedly turned back. I looked up to the unknown and saw a frown on the handsome face,he had a good height but not really taller than I was (ok thats a white lie he is way taller). He had a not so fair skin and not dark as well (chocolate) and with is body structure he sure frequent the gym. I was so lost in thought that i forgot i was supppse to apologise,his words brought me back to reality. "Hello Girl?", he said. I was'nt happy he called me a girl and am so not hidding that. He continued ' you should be careful next time, see what u've done to my foot wear,how could you be walking backward in a public place like this? Is it ur first time here?" he asked angrily. "Wait a minute who does he thinks he is?me? Girl? And is this my first time in my family hotel? Oh he thinks am poor?" All this thought was going on in my head, i did not realise i was yet to respond until he waved into my face and said "Hy girl,are you not suppose to apologise?" like seriously this guy sure has a degree in making people angry. I looked up at him and said " hey Boy am sorry if i stained ur darling foot wear, but next time dnt u dare call me a girl, Jeez! Everybody deserves some respect, plus this is not my first time here,learn not to judge quickly" i yelled at him and wrapped my hand on my chest. He romoved his sun glasses and said "its obvious ur parent did not teach you some manners,what are u? A spoilt rich kid??" i was about opening my mouth to give him the right tongue lashing when khole interrupted. She quickly apologised and dragged me away with her,i was so furious, i turned back to look at him and he was still standing there with a wicked smile,i gave him the middle finger and he put his tongue out and shook his head. ********************** "Khole will so regret interrupting me today,i would have taught that rude boy a lesson!" i shouted in my head. ********************** I was so angry with khole that i decided not to talk to her when we got to the room. I brought out my shopping bag to check my dress. Khole quickly jumped up immediately i brought out my dress she was screaming "OMG!" cos the dress is so beautiful, i abandoned the dress with her and took my jewelry box. Mom got me the best set of gold necklace, earring and hand breacelet have ever seen. Khole grabbed the necklace and quickly went to the mirror to try it on. She then turned to me and asked 'how do i look' i did not give her any response and that was when she realised i was angry. Khole asked what her offense was and i told her she should have let me give the rude boy a piece of my mind. Khole smiled and apologised telling me its becos she as gist for me thats why she doesn't want to waste our time on baseless argument. I forgot i was angry immediately i heard gist, i smiled and told her to tell me,she then said since am mad at her no more gist. Her phone started ringing and i grabbed the phone since it was closer to me, the caller I.D was 'RIB' she started to beg me, telling me how important the caller is, i eventually gave her the phone and she rushed to the rest room. I wonder what this girl is hiding tho. Khole came out thirty minutes after and i was already bussy with my phone even though i was hungry,i could not place an order without her. She asked wotsup? And i gave her a frown, she then smiled and sat close to me on bed. I asked her who she was on phone with and she said she wont tell me cos of what i did. I pulled her hair playfully and she put her hands in the air begging. I released my grip on her hair and She cleared her throat like an old woman telling her kids a story and said " you know there comes a time in life when we all meet our prince charming who will sweep us off our feet?" i smiled nd she continued. "It all started in church one day. We sat together and during sermon i realised i brought only a jotter without a pen and he had a pen without a jotter, he asked for a piece of paper first nd i asked for a pen, we both smiled and we did the exchange. I was the last person that used the pen. I some how forgot to return it to him. After benediction he was out of sight. I searched for him to no avail and decided to go home. On stepping out of the church i saw him about to enter a red range over sport, i waved at him and shouted 'hey!!!!' since i do not know his name, he did not even notice me. The distance btw us was long so i decided to walk to the gate since he will pass through the gate. Just when he was almost at the gate i waved at him and raised the pen up. He then signal me to get in. I got in and he drove out. I told him how much i hate keeping others belongings no matter how small which is the reason am returning the pen. He just smilles and asked what my name is. I looked up at him and realised how handsome he his. He has a dark and glowing skin,a handsome face with lips i think its too pink for a dark skinned guy. He said smth which i did not hear and i told him my name. He smiled and said' am asking where u are heading to?'. I was a li2 embarrassed but i composed myself and told him 'Agric'. An area for the wealthy in ilorin kwara state capital. He said he was also heading there to see a friend and if i do not mind he can drop me off. I smilled and replied yes. The silence was becoming disturbing so i brought out the pen,i was about giving it back to him when he suddenly made a U-turn. The pen fell from my hand and i could not find it. He told me not to worry about the pen. He then parked in front of a big gate and told me this was his friend's place and he apologised for not dropping me off at my door step, i told him no problem and made to unbuckle my belt when he bent over toward me. I was shocked and surprise, i moved backward thinking its a mistake and he bent more, i moved again and he did the same utill my back was touching the car body. I looked away frighteened,thinking i will get my first kiss from a total stranger when he bent fully and picked the pen close to my leg. OMG that was close, i thought as i adjusted myself. He asked 'what were u exepecting?' and started laughing, i frown at first and later join in the laughter. How can i be so daft?? ********************** Khole On monday afternoon i was going back to school in my car this time around when i saw him sitting on his car in front of his friend's house. I horned at him to get his attention to no avail, i had to park properly before going to meet him. On my way to where he was sitted i was shouting 'Hey!!!!' since i dont even know his name. I walked up to him and said 'hey Mr.pen' he looked up when i waved into his face. He smilled and removed his ear phone,he then said ' hey, u say what?' I smilled and repeated what i said,and he shook his head and smilled. He asked how i was doing and where i was heading to,when i told him, he went further to ask abt my school. After the whole school conversation,th ere was silence again, I then ask what is name is? He smilled and said i should stick to 'Mr.pen'. I laughed then he asked me to apologise which i refused to. He shook his head and promised not to tell me his name. I asked him what he was doing here and he said he was waiting on his friend and a pretty angle he met lately, i was alittle bit jealous thinking this cool dude is taken already? I asked him who the angel is, at first he refused but later on he agree to tell me. I could feel my ear grew bigger and my heart was beating faster. He then said K.H.O.L.E. We both laughed and he finally asked for my digit, i asked what he needed my digit for (forming hard to get) and he said ' well u know,since we met in church it wont be a bad idea to wake u up for sunday school every sunday with a call' we both laughed and i called my digit out for him. I told him i should be on my way and he said no problem. I asked him for his name again and he playfully asked me to beg him again,i did since i wanted to know his name and my time is fast spent. He then asked me to beg louder and louder until i refused to say a word forming annoyance. I shouted good bye! and turned to leave, he then held my hand, i looked back and he was smilling as usual he then said ' J.O.S.H........the name is Josh' he relised his grip on my hand and i smiled saying 'bye Mr.Josh pen' I did not wait for his response before heading to my car. I knew he was looking at me so i allowed my ass swing seductively in my tight jump suit. I got to my car and was about opening the door when i looked back hoping to catch him looking at me but the naught guy i was doing all the cat walk for backed me already, with his phone glued to his ear as if he was receiving a call. With frustration i shouted .Josh!!!!!!!' He hurriedly turn back and waved with a smiled. Gosh!!!!!!! What a waste of talent. I forced a smille and got into my car. . To be continued after comments..

Episode 3 Continues.. ********************** [Nancy] An incoming call interupted khole from going on,i almost cursed the caller but couldn't when i saw that it was my mom. She asked the usual question about our safety,she also spoke with khole to confirm we are alright. I hurriedly ended the call and bestowed on khole to continue, she then coverd her face with her hand saying shes blushing since its getting personal and since am still under age,i should not be hearing about love yet. I hit her playfully and grabbed her hair she then surrender her hands in the air and said she will continue. I released her hair and put my full attention on her. Khole then stood up and changed her sitting position from the bed we both occupied to the big couch in the room,i readjusted my self,ready for the full story. (khole) I resumed school and found myself think about the cool dude i met but since i do not have his contact i had to wait for his call. He did not call for more than a week but later did on a friday afternoon. I was done with one of the day's lecture that lasted for more than two hours. I was on my way to get lunch when my phone started ringing. The number was a new one and i was reluctant to pick at first, i eventually did and the caller said he is the dry cleaner i gave my clothes to. I do my laundry with my washing machine,what is he talking about? I told him its a wrong number but he denied and described my physical appearance perfectly,he also got my name right even the school i attend. I was surprise d and told him i do not have a dry cleaner and i do my laundry myself but this dry cleaner guy is so sturborn,he was insisting its not a wrong number. When i got tired of the argument i dropped the call. I was yet to take three steps when the number called again, i ignored and he called and called again more than ten times. At the last ring i picked the call and yelled at him to go and burn the clothes and leave me alone,he laughed and i ended the call. I got to the resturant and my phone vibrated signifying a new message. I clicked on the message and the content was 'Hi, I am brooke so i thought i could make money from a big girl like you(smile)...................JOSH.' At first i smilled then laughed and laughed out loud, what a lame trick. I got some people looking at me already, i composed myself and dialed the number. We talked for a while and he told me he has been sick and he was discharged two days ago. He promised to call back and add me up on whatsap. I had my lunch and left for my next lecture. On getting home he called back and asked if we can chat now? I was positive so we started chatting that day. He asked me out on a date and we went to a resturant at first. Later we saw a movie at shoprite. We started hanging out more and its realy cool to be around him. I got to know he his a graduate of mechanical engineering and he works in one of his father's company, he is also the branch manager of Ilorin branch and he is twenty three years. Josh brought me back from one of our outings one day,i was about to open the car door after saying goodbye when i noticed it was locked. I gave him the 'what are u waiting for?' look. He looked deep into my eyes and i frooze. He lean over and i was contemplating in my head if this is going to be a kiss or he is about to pick another pen. My eyes widened when his cute pink lips fell on mine. Many thought were going on in my head. The thing is that ever since i have been little have always imagined to get my first kiss on my wedding day on the altar. Apart from that anybody that try kissing me will get a hot slap. But i was there with eyes closed receiving the kiss whole heartedly. I wanted to pull away but i ended up giving in to the kiss. He finally ended the kiss and held me close to himself and whispered 'Be my girl Khole'. I did not respond i just remained in his comfortable arm since it feels like i belong here. My silly self did not pull away again, he released me and asked if i have to think about his requst, I noded and he unlocked the door to his car. I climbed down and with shaky legs walked to my apartment. I could feel butterflies in my stomach or is it mosquitoes Dunno! ********************** Inmediately i got to my room i got his call. I was a ali2 bit shy to pick at first but i did finally and he asked if we could chat. I logged unto whatsap and I got his message already. He asked if i was angry and went on and on telling me how bad he is in asking ladies out so he always love to confirm if his feelings is reciprocated before going for what he want. I made a joke about everything and insisted on him asking me out. He then replied with "Hi lady,my name is Josh, i am young,handsome and bold,i have six packs and would love you to be my girl. Pls say yes." I was almost rolling on the floor with laughter. I gave him a capital 'NO' over and over again be4 he got serious and sent a sms to express his feelings. "I built my wall so high against love becos i was afraid of been committed to love. Love is love but ur love is different and beautiful. I wonder how u brought my wall down and launched a full attack of love into my heart,my heart fell helplessly inlove with u and it cries for u and u only. Be my girl khole and i promise you the most beautiful kids ever." Woah I couldn't stop smilling at my phone screen. I wished he had done this in person tho. The big girl in me wanted to say 'no' and form hard to get bt d sily me ended up saying 'YES'. He called and made promises to be the best boyfriend ever and all i ever wanted. So we are here it been three beautiful months we started on Feb14 and today is march 7 my best buddy's birthday. End of story madam. NANCY I kept on screaming 'Woah' when khole ended her fairy tale. I decided to start attending church since Khole found her prince charming in church. Khole laughed at my decision and i told her its not bad to serve the lord and look out for my prince charming as well. We both decided to play music and learn dance steps for my party. khole is a realy great dancer,she has attended a dance training school be4 nd according to her shes aiming at becoming a great dancer and performer like jenifer Lopez. Myself on the other hand do not have two left legs like some people i know but am not a good dancer as well. I got exhusted after trying different dance step with khole,we did belly dance,whinning, twisting and even twerking. The list wont be complete without our special Nigerian dances like Shoki,Shakiti bobo, skelewu,etigi and azonto. Khole is realy an energetic dancer which made the competative me wanto beat her at her game but she ended up beating me. If there were to be a judge am sure the score would have been ratio 20:80. I exhusted my energy while dancing so i attacked my meat pie immediately after d dancing session. I was stil eating when mom called nd said she was sending the driver and makeup artist over. Time checked 4:00pm. I hurriedly finished my snack nd informed khole to start getting ready. We took turn to have our bath after which the make up artist form 'Nana Aisha beauty saloon' arrived with a photographer from 'Josh collage photography'. The beauty agents gave us body massage before dressing up for the party. Our makeup us done in beautifully and we had our first birthday shoot. We took a selfie with my iphone and posted if on my social media. Lots and lots of comments was been made. Time checked 6:30pm. Mom called again to confirm if we were ready for the party and she informed us that our driver is on the the way with one other guy that will drive khole's car home. 5minutes later the driver was at the hotel. The Hilux mom sent was beautifully decorated like a wedding vehicle. I hugged khole so tight out of excitement that i thought i over squeezed her. We got to my compound and through the front screen i could see cars everywhere,the side glasses is tinted so i could not get a better view. The driver told us that my mom said we should not step out of the car before she gets to us since she will be the one to lead me to the event. Five minutes later we heard a tap on side glass and i opened the door. There she was looking breathe taking,my mom 'Mrs.Lillian William'. I got out of the car excitedly and hugged my mom,she was so happy and she kept on muttering 'Oh my baby, u look so beautiful'. The hug was interupted with the M.C, who was shouting loud into the microphone, saying " Give it up for the beautiful celebrant and her mom...Miss and Mrs.williams". Mom released me and told khole to bring what she gave to her,khole brought out a blind fold and gave it to my mom. I had my mouth open, how can u keep such a thing from me,do u people want to kidnap me ? They both laughed and wore the blindfold on me. 'All of me' by John legend. Mom led me gracefully to the event and finally stopped somewhere. The M.C asked me to gusse where i was and i said in front of my car. Everybody laughed but they cant understand can they? Have always wanted to drive a car,my car. Mom removed the blindfold and i could see a very huge cake in front of me fully decorated in pink. Everybody was on there feet when i cut my cake and fed my mom with some. I went to my sit which was beside mom and mom was later called for an opening speech. She thanked everybody present and talked about me when i was little and the sweet and loving memories of my dad be4 ending her speech. During mom's speech khole told me Josh was present and she will do the introduction later. I was happy i will be meeting Josh for me to know if khole was truthful him. I was called to dance with my mom first be4 anybody wil be on the dance floor. .Because you love me' by 'cellien dion' was played and all the words in the song got to me. If not for this lovly woman who has been loving me,where will i be? My tears was flowing freely and my mom pulled me to herself. People were clapping and appreciating the mother and daughter display of emotion and the photographers were doing there work. After the dance with my mom,we went to our sit and the M.C announced it was game time. People won different prices like iphone,ipad,rolex wrist watches,designer bags and lot more. During game time mom told me theres a friend she would love me to meet now before people will start leaving since it was getting late. I followed her and we got to the a table. She greeted the woman as if they are sisters and the husband like a brother. She introduced the husband as a minister and the wife as an international bussiness woman. The woman looked as if looking for someone before she happily said 'thank God my son is here' A young guy came to the table and bent down alittle to greet the couple he then greeted my mom.. Episode 4 Continues ********************** The smile on my face turned to a frown when i saw him,he also had is innocent smile replaced with a wicked smile. In order not to disrespect the elders i took his hand and greeted him. The timely arrival of khole saved me from lashing out my hidden anger on him. I was called on stage to receive gifts from guset. My friends took turn to hug and complement me before dropping their gifts. After the gift collection, i was asked to come on stage and deliver an appreciation speech,after which the party ended officially. Mom told me she will retire for the day after see her friends off. I promised her to be a good girl and she left. Khole invited me over to her table where i met josh. Khole did not over rate the dude instead she underated him. He was so handsome with a charming smile. Minutes later Josh told us he would love to be on his way and u should see him off to the car together with khole since he would love to deliver my gift personally. We got to Josh's car and he brought out smth big wrapped. I collected d gift and left the couple to have their privacy. I could not take d gift back to d stage so i decided to take it to my room. I was heading to my room when someone behind me said 'too heavy for ur tiny hand?' i turned and i saw Mr.rude,i hissed and continue walking without a reply. He came close to me and grabbed the gift from me, he then asked 'where?' and i told him 'hell'. He smilled and said 'common am an only child,cant die now'. I kept on walking without a response while he followed. We got to the front of my apartment and i asked him to return the gift,he refuse and said he will take it inside. He ended up following me to my room. I expected him to drop d gift and leave but he refused. He said he wont leave until i thank him for his kind gesture and apologise for me rude. I smilled and fold my hands. He did the same and i told him he his the king of rudeness and i wont apologise for defending myself. He then said 'ok i apologise,how about that? An apology wont reduce my worth,will it?' I was surprised and wonder where the humble behaviour was coming from. I also said thank u and he was about to say smth else before khole call interupted. She asked of my where about and i told her to wait for me. I told jordan it was time to leave and he turned to leave without an argument. I wonder wotsup with the rude jordan. Khole saw us first and she came over,jordan introduced himself and apologised again. I saw some of my friends hanging around so i left jordan with khole. Khole later came to inform me that jordan wants me to see him off,i excused myself and went to him. On our way to his car he held my hand,i frowned at him and he smilled as if he did nothing. We got to his car and he said 'goodnight angel' after releasing my hand. I waved at him and he left. The party finally came to an end by 10:00pm, myself and khole also retired for the day. Khole told me how cool jordan his during our chat before we bid ourselves goodnight. I ended up staying awake on my bed thinking about the event of the day. Everything was all have always wanted apart from the encounter with the stranger who turned out to be jordan. Talking about jordan he held my hand on our way to his car,what was that for? I was stil thinking about this well i fell asleep. Hey people am sweet sixteen!!! (that was my last thought in my semi conscious mind) ********************** The sound of foot step woke me up. I smilled,Sewa and Tori came into the room with some gift,they greeted me and that was when i noticed that a corner of my room is been occupied with gifts. Ohh how can i forget something so special. It was my birthday yesterday. I hurriedly got down from my bed,brushed my teeth and went to mom's room. I knocked and did not wait for a reply be4 entering,i thought mom was still sleeping and wanted to wake her up and scold her just d way she do scold me whenever i wake up by this time. According to her,every normal and hard working humanbeing should be up at most by 6:00am. I entered and she was reading from her bible. She did not acknowledge me so i made my self comfortable on her big couch. Minutes later,mom was done with prayer,i knelt to greet her. She bestowed on me to join her on bed,i did and she hugged me goodmorning. She asked about the party and khole. I told her d party was beautiful and khole was sleeping in my room. Mom held my hand and said "Nancy my dear,you are sixteen now and many girls at your age are bread winners of their family,the journey of a hundred years start in a day. The journey on how to become great in life start now. I have registered you in a jamb coaching center and you will start next week monday. Today is Saturday already and i sent a hundred thousand naira into your account for anything u might be needing. You can go out with khole to get what ever you think you will be needing. Prepare well for your jamb,many people will think it will be the best to send u abroad to school,but my dear, there is nothing wrong with schooling here. You should keep ur head up high and be the best u can be anywhere u find yourself. Finally baby, beware of guys,many people will say virginity is nothing nowadays since its jet age now. Little would you know they say that for self consolation,since they could not keep theirs,they will make mockery of it,just the way people belittle what they do not have in order to make themself feel better. Nancy my girl,you are a precious child,make mama proud and you dad will be proud of you as well". Mom ended her motherly advice,i said thankYou We embraced eachother other and made beautiful promises. The knock on the door interupted us,mom asked whoever it was to come in. Khole entered and greeted mom,she invited her to the bed and hugged her,i did the same and mom was greatful to her for been there. Mom informed us she will be going out later in the day to clear her goods that just arrived. We all left for the dining table for break fast. Breakfast was a simple meal of bread,tea and egg. Myself and khole rushed to my room after breakfast to check my gifts. I brought out Josh's gift first and asked khole to unwrap it while i closed my eyes waiting for a suprise,she did and when i opened my eyes what i saw was so overwhelming and beautiful. Josh got me a three pieces imported leather traveling bag,it was so beautiful and classy. I wanted to inform mom out or excitement but khole stopped me saying she might be disappointed 2 know she was dating, we both laughed and agreed 2 tell her its just one of the guest. We called Josh and said our thankyou,he also promised to pick us up later for lunch. We checked most of the gifts and got tired of checking,there were so many gifts to check. We later decided to go shopping. Mom informed us of her departure and we also got ready to go shopping. We went to 'Opeezy unisex fashion empire' i do not need 2 shop alot since i had enough in my wardrobe already. We went back home to dress up for lunch with Josh. Josh arrived by 1:00pm and we left for lunch. We decided to visit captain cook for lunch in josh car. We got to the eatery and i heard someone shout my name. I turned and saw Jordan full of smille. He came over to us and we exchange pleasantries, according to him,house was boring and he decided to have lunch outside. Khole was with josh in front while jordan was with me behind them. He was asking so many questions and making unnecessary jokes about my party. We settled down in an empty table while Josh and Jordan went to get our orders. 'those two seems to be getting along' khole said immediately they left,i just gave a fake smile and noded. Sincerly speaking it was difficult to say who was more handsome between Josh and Jordan but i am going for Josh if such a question is been asked. Beauty is not applicable to ur look alone but your character as well. Josh brought his and khole order while Jordan brought mine and sat beside me. We were about to eat when a strange guy walked up to our table and started greeting us us with full smile as if we are old friends. Who is this guy that wont let me settle the worms in my stomach.. ********************** The guy came to our table full of smille and greeted us warmly,we all exchanged glance to confirm if any of us know the strange guy, the strange guy noticed what we were trying to do, he then smilled and said 'Not to worry guys,am a stranger to all of you and i was inside be4 u arrived. I saw you guys when u entered and love the way you all carried urselves as classy couples I gussed you guys are on a double date and i just wanto assure you that you are all prefect for eachother. By the way am a photographer and my name is Vectoh. It will be a great pleasure to have a group picture of you all and a personal for each couple.' The stranger called Vectoh concluded his statement. So this guy thinks Jordan is my date just becos we were sitting close to eachother. Perfect or what did he say? Over my grandma's grave, perfect my butt!!. I was about about to tell vectoh that we were not a couple and the outing was not a double date but instead a coincidence when khole held my hand and stopped me from speaking. She quickly smilled and told vectoh his request is been granted. Jordan was also full of smille as he accepted the request of having a couple picture. I could notice that Josh was of mixed feelings and he is probably accepting becos of khole. Surprised at all of them as they all took turn to shake hands with the vectoh guy. He turned to me and said i was the only one remaining to accept is requst and he joked about me been shy to take pictures with my boyfriend. They all laughed and i gave him a fake smille. He left us to continue with our food and pointed at his table for us to signal to him once we are done. He said he would love to take the pictures at his studio,according to him d studio is nearby.khole and Jordan told him not to worry and he left. Finally i can eat,i sighed. We finished our meal and vectoh came to take us to his studio. I was about getting into Josh's car when he said 'Miss, are you not coming in your boyfriend's car?' I faked a smile and wanted to tell him Jordan is not my date when jordan came beside me,held my hand and said i forgot my bag in Josh's car. Khole who was already sitted in front of the car beside Josh got my bag from the back sit and handed it over to me through the car's window. She smilled and waved at us as jordan dragged me to his car. O.M.G i thought today is suppose to be a happy day,now ion have a choice than to ride with Jordan. He opened the car door for me and started the engine. Vectoh led the way while we followed. During the drive Jordan was at first silent but he later asked if i felt honoured to have pictures with some one important like him, i shook my head and gave no reply,he said something like 'dont worry,its ok to be overwhelmed with excitement'. I felt like slapping him but i ended up telling him to goto hell,i will rather become a catholic sister than marry King rudeness. He opened is mouth wide and laughed for what seems like 2minute before closing his mouth. After the laughter he was mute for the rest of the drive. Finally Vectoh pulled over in front of his studio and we did the same,he then led us to his studio. Little makeup was applied since we were already sweaty, we were then led to the inner studio for the photo shot. At first we had a group picture,myself and khole was in the middle of the guys then later Jordan and khole had theres. Heaven knows how angry i was at this so called Vectoh guy,how can he conclude we are a couple just becos we walked into a resturant together (I.T.K oshi). I did not realise Vectoh was calling me for our shoot until jordan lightly tapped me on the shoulder, i apologised for been absent minded and went in for the shoot. The photographer guy was giving us crazy pose,he first said jordan should hold me from behind, then he should hold my hands and do as if we were gisting with full smille,next he side he should give me a peck,next he should carry me,my heart was beating fast already and it almost exploded when Vectoh said Jordan should kiss me passionately with our eyes closed,he claim that will be a beautifully romantic pose. I composed myself and disagreed with the last pose,made an excuse of feeling dizzy becos of the heat in the studio. I hurriedly left the inner studio and joined Josh and khole. Jordan came out later with vectoh and he promised to get the pictures to us through kelvin. We left the studio and just when i thought i will go home to get my rest after all the unplanned happenings, Jordan suggested we go see a movie all together. Josh and khole agreed and poor Nancy was left with no other choice. I wonder what was waiting for me at the studio again. This time around somebody might ask us to dance around like a couple. Episode 5 Continues.. ********************** I tried to convince them not to go see a movie but they would not listen to me. I had no other choice than to follow them. We got to the cinema and decided to see a Romantic movie. We ended up seeing the movie titled "100 days with Mr. Arrogant" we paid the necessary fees,got popcorn and drinks and was ready to see the movie. The movie was about a high school girl who mistakenly damaged a rich guy's car. Since she could not afford the repair fee she ended up signing a contract to be the guy's slave for a hundred days. They afterwards fell inlove and ended up together. At first the movie was more of comedy and through a corner of my eyes i could see khole laughing and whispering somethings into Josh's ear and they would both laugh again. I did not realize that Jordan was looking at me until he bent toward me and said in a whisper " i can let u whisper into my ear and fake a smile pretending its funny". I just shook my head and focused on the screen,wondering while he would not mind his bussiness. I made my popcorn my companion. In the middle of the movie i was getting tired already. My tiredness turned into jealousy when i saw khole leaning on Josh's shoulder while he was patting her on her back. I tried to hide my jealousy and concentrated on the movie. Jordan bent toward me again and said " I can let you lean ur big head on my shoulder if u want to" I looked at him and shoook my head,he was smilling. I wonder if he was watching the movie or me. Minutes later i started yawning since i was tired of sitting. I felt a hand on a side of my head,i looked up to Jordan and he smilled at me,he then slowly and forcefully pulled my head toward his shoulder. I wanted to resist but he was way stronger than i am. I finally gave in and my head landed on his shoulder. I stopped fighting to free myself when i felt more comfortable resting on him. The comfort made me feel sleepy but i was forcing my self not to sleep. A tap on my shoulder woke me up,until then i did not realise that i slept off. Jordan told me the movie was over and it was time to go home. I raised my head from his shoulder and saw khole on her feet adjusting her dress. I did the same and we left the cinema. Khole was walking with Josh so i had to walk with Jordan. He did not make nasty comment but he teased me about been the only one that slept during the movie. I wonder if d romantic movie changed his life tho. Jordan asked me about school and other stuffs. It was during the conversation i got to know that he his a 200level mechanical engineering student of Kwara state university. He complained on how his parent would not let him out of sight been an only child and how much he would have loved to school out of his parent's monitoring eyes. He made a joke out of everything and we laughed alot. Finally the love birds were done and ready to leave. I saw Jordan off to his car and bid him goodnight. Josh took us home and waited for about 10mins discussing with khole again after i highlighted from the car. I wonder if those two will get tired of talking one day. They finally said goodbye and Josh left. Mom was home already,time checked 7:00pm, i knew she was going to scold us and she did not disappoint me. She went on and on talking about the dangers of the night. After mom's long scolding we apologised and had our bath before having dinner. After dinner i went to my room with Khole and she would'nt stop teasing me about been inlove with Jordan and pretending to hate him. 'I now see Jordan as a new person different from the rude guy i used to know but that does not mean am inlove with him,infact i dont even love him' i told khole. I had to pretend to be asleep when after all my explanation khole wont stop insisting that am inlove with Jordan. I woke up early the following day and was dressed for church by 6:30. Mom was surprised to see me fully dressed by that time and she was more surprised when i told her i was going to church. Khole let out my little secret and told mom i was going in search of my prince charming. Mom and khole kept on making jest of me and i insisted i was going to thank God for my new age. We had breakfast and i left for church with Khole in her car. Josh also came to church and we had lunch after church. Funny enough i was looking around hoping to see Jordan pop up from no where like he did yesterday but he did not. We left for home after lunch and i had my nap. Later in evening khole packed her belongings ready to leave. I would miss her alot that words cant describe,i pleaded with her not to leave but she said she had to resume school and she promised to keep in touch with me. I saw her off with mom,we took turn to hug her and helped her with her bag,Khole zoomed off and i almost cried!. When khole departed it was as if she took a part of me along with her. I had always love to be in someone's company and she has been my companion ever since my sixteenth birthday. Sometimes i wished nt 2 be an only child with nobody to talk to apart from my mom. Mom has always been there 4 me and she gives me a listening ear whenever i want 2 talk 2 her but it does not measure up to having a young mind like myself to gist and reason with. I had to force a smile when mom was beginning to feel bad because of me. Mom finally consoled me with the fact that i could make new friends in school and if they are trust worthy i could invite them over. I ended up in mom's arm and some how i felt better. I had dinner with mom and she tried to have a disscussion with me by telling me different things about bussiness and how business transactions are been made. After dinner we watched a movie and by 9:00pm we were ready to retire for the day. I set an alarm to wake me up by 6:00am since the coaching was to begin by 9:00am. I slept off after thinking of Khole,Josh and Jordan. The sound from my alarm woke me up on monday morning. I got up and said my prayer before brushing my teeth and going to mom's room. She was up already and reading from her bible. I greeted mom and she blessed me before asking if i was ready for school. I answered positively and mom asked if i needed her to pick a dress for me been my first day,i told her i was sixteen and big enough to pick the right dress. We both laughed and she playfully sent me out of her room since i was proving not to need her help. I left mom's room for mine where i had my bath and got ready for school. I wore a red short gown with a black pair of moses sandal,i also wore a simple blue earring,necklace and hand bracelet with my rolex wrist watch on the other hand. I packed some writing material ,my ipod,a head phone and other necessary things into a blue bag. I briefly took a glance at my room. Satisfied am not leaving anything behind,i left for the dinning room where my breakfast of tea and bread was waiting for me. I had my breakfast and was ready by 8:30am,i went to mom's room to bid her goodbye and left in a toyota corolla car with the driver. Mom gave him the instruction to drop me off and come back for me by 2:00pm. At first i was alittle bit nervous when i got down from the car. I closed my eyes and let out a deep breathe before heading to the main building in the big compound where 'Wisdom Jamb Tutorial' was boldly written. I went to the reception and a beautiful lady attended to me. She asked politely what i was there for and other necessary questions. I told her i was a student and she briefly checked her system to confirm if i had paid all the necessary fees. Been satisfied with what she saw she looked up at me with a smile and opened a big box on her table. She searched the content before bringing out a student identification card with a tag. I collected the I.d and she asked me to put it on whenever i am in the school premises and it will be my pass ticket everyday till am done here. She told me where art department was and i said my thank you before leaving. I got to the lecture room with the inscription 'Art Class' written on the entrance. Few student were in already,i greeted them and i could feel their eyes on me as i settled in an empty chair and got bussy with my phone. At exactly 9:00am a beutiful lady entered the lecture room which is now filled with student,she came with a security man carrying a big box behind her. She introduced herself as our litrature teacher and brought out a text from the box and said "My name is Miss.esther. I am your literature teacher for this session. With me is the required text and after my speech you will all come forward for a copy. Every morning starting from 9:00am to 11:00am, you will be in this lecture room to receive departmental lectures and 11:00AM to 12:00pm is a free period for lunch. After lunch 12:00PM to 2:00pm is for general courses, i.e English and mathematic. You will leave the comfort of your department for the general hall where you will have general courses. I wish you all high score in your jamb and admission to the university of your choice. You can now come forward one after the other for your text." she ended her speech and we took turn to get a copy of the text. The title of the text was 'The lord of the flies' by 'Williams Shakespeare'. We got a copy nd d litrature class started nd ended on a good note. I love literature so i attempted any question asked nd i could feel Miss.esther was beginning to like me. Without me raising my hand to attempt answering the question,she would sometimes say 'Nancy give it a trial' and i would try to answer in the best way i could. I had lunch after d class and a general class. The day ended well without making friends but it was fun to be in company of my peer group. ********************** On my way home from school i hoped that mom will be around to listen to my experience on my first day. I arrived home and hurriedly got out of the car,i saw my uncle's car parked outside so i was sure my mom was home but with a visitor. I got in and met my mom and uncle mike disscussing. I entered and greeted uncle mike and hugged mom. She briefly asked about school and i left for my room. Few minutes after taking my bath, i was about coming out for lunch when i heard mom's and uncle Mike's voices,arguing and shouting at eachother. Mom's voice could not be heard clearly but every single sentence made by uncle mike was clear enough to be heard two buildings away. "Just because our stupid parent thought you could handle the bussiness better,they willed all the family wealth to you forgetting thet you are just an ordinary woman and a whole me MIKE was left with leftovers to feed on,Lillian if you refuse to forward five million naira into my account for my wedding anniversary, i will so deal with you!!" uncle mike thundered. I could hear mom telling him how wasteful he was and promising not to send him a penny. I wanted to go down stairs and probably settle their misunderstandin g,but i knew mom would not like it if i go without been called upon. I remained in my room and heard uncle mike threaten my mom while mom kept on telling him he could not hurt a fly. Some minutes later i heard uncle mike zooming off out of our compound in anger. After his departure i went to mom's room,she was lost in thought when i got to her, i had to tap her on her shoulder be4 she noticed my presence. I asked her about the argument with uncle Mike and she explained how wasteful uncle mike has been and he was requsting for a huge amount just for his wedding anniversary. I told mom i was worried about d threats he made but she waved it aside and said they were all empty threats. I tried to make mom feel better by telling her about my first day at school and her face lightened up when i told her that the literature teacher seems to like me. We talked for a while before i told mom i wanted to meet Tori for my lunch. Mom then smilled and said " which tori? The one at Ibadan right?" at first i thought mom was joking not until she continued and said "you know they are both sec sch graduates and they have been planning on putting in for jamb this year. I had to let them further there education since they cannot be maids here forever,u know? They have their lives to live. I paid for their Jamb registration fee and gave them #50,000 each for their upkeep. I also asked them to come back for there school fees when they gain admission into higher institution. So my dear they are no longer here,they left after u left for school. We now have a new house help. He his a good boy,a friend recommended him to me and his name is Kelvin. I sent him on an errand,he should be back soon." I did not know what to say after mom ended her speech but the fact that she kept all this from me and i could not even say goodbye to the maids that has been like a sister to me was painful. I told mom how upset i was and she decided to bribe me by putting a call through to the two of them,one after the other. I told them how much am missing them and wished them all the best in life. We ended the call and mom started dressing up for church. After mom left, i went into the kitchen to make noddles for myself. After putting the pot on the gas cooker,i turned on the light. I then went into the store room for the noddles. I could not find the noddles on time so i had to come back to the kitchen and i met flames coming out of the hot pot already. I was confused on what to do so i quickly poured groundnut oil into the pot and went insearch of noddles again. I searched every where but could no find any pack of noddles,i was about leaving the store when my leg hit a carton on the floor, i looked at it carefully and i saw cartons of noddles carefully arranged on the floor. I happily picked two pack of noddles and rushed to the kitchen. The sight that welcomed me in the kitchen took my hapiness away,there were flames everywhere and the pot already cut fire, i was at lost on what to do so i ended up getting a large quantity of water and poured it into the pot, the fire went up and increased, i ran away from the fire with tears, confused on wot to do,i paced around with my hands on my head.everywhere was already filled with flames. Suddenly i heard a foot step and someone appeared at the entrance of the kitchen, he quickly put of the gas cooker and he hurriedly got a lid to cover the pot, immediately he covered the pot, the fire went off. I was coughing so much i could no speak, he led me out of the kitchen to the dinning room,he then closed the kitchen door and brought me a cup of water. I took d water from him and looked at him with surprise. He smilled and said "Hi, my name is Kelvin and i work here,its nice meeting you". . To be continued after comments..

Episode 6 Continues.. ********************** After he introduced himself as 'kelvin', i wanted 2 say smth but i ended up coughing,he stood be4 me nd kept saying 'Takecare' while i responded with a smile. He later left nd went to the kitchen,sure he was tidying up my mess,now d thick smoke has reduced but there were stil enough 4 anyone to gusse there was a fire accident here. Some min later i had stop coughing and had enough strength to walk on my own. I went to the sitting groom and settled in a couch. I did no realise i was asleep until the horn of a car outside our gate woke me up. At first i thought it was my mom but when d person knocked and waited for a response be4 knocking again i knew it was a visitor. I opened d door and standing in front of me was Jordan. I did not know if i should shout in excitement or i should ask him wot he was doing in my house. I had mixed feelings but i was able 2 keep a straight face. He smilled nd said "Happy to see me?". I just smilled and let him in,he settled in a chair opposite me nd i asked if he would love 2 have anything. He told me he was on his way 2 get lunch and decided to check on me. At d mention of lunch i realised i was yet 2 have a decent lunch and my stomach started grumbling. Jordan asked if i would love 2 come with him,i hesistated for a while be4 agreeing to go with him. I went to my room and had a change of cloth then i went to the kitchen to inform Kelvin. When i got to d kitchen i met kelvin preparing vegetable soup and the kitchen atmosphere was free from smoke already. I greeted him from d door and told him i was going out with a friend. He turned to face me with a smile nd that was when i noticed his dimple. He had a lovly fair skin with a handsome round face and dimple on each cheek. He said i should be safe and i left wondering what a guy like kelvin is doing as a maid, the only answer that came to my mind was money, yes! Probably his family is brooke at the moment. Jordan and I had lunch at 'Royals' we both had jollof rice and chicken after which we decided to get suya at a spot. It was surprisingly fun to be with Jordan,he had finally buried his rude self and he was more of a free and jovial guy than a regular cool guy. When we got to the suya spot,he dared me to finish a stick in a minute. I took up the challenge but the peper would'nt not let me succeed. He and the aboki selling suya had fun laughing at me and calling me ajebur. I threw back the challenge at him and he finished a stick in less than a minute. He went on braging and telling me he was older than me at all level,so i should start respecting him by adding 'brother' to his name. I checked my time and it was some minutes past six, i knew without been told that mom would be home by now. Jordan was talking with some other guys we met at the suya spot,i tap him on the shoulder and said 'Brother Jordan lets go home now,its getting late' he pushed me playfully and said 'ok younger sister'. He then paid for what we have eaten and bought two seperate pack before leaving. The ride home was interesting as Jordan played music and he would sing along. I condemned his vioce and he would sing louder. Finally we got to our compound and he decided to drive in. We met my mom outside,she was on the phone with some one and had a drink on the small table beside her. We waited for mom to end her phone call be4 greeting her. She responded and recognized Jordan,she asked after his parent and school. Jordan later said he would be leaving after he rejected the offer to have dinner with us from mom. I saw him to his car and he handed one of the packed suya to me,we exchanged phone number and he left. I knew i was in for scolding and a long sermon from mom, but this time around she disappointed me. Mom was inside the livingroom when i got back, i greeted her again and she asked about my outing,i just responded with a smille and she asked if i can stil have dinner and i said no. Since she cant eat alone, she asked me to join her on the table. Mom asked if i had met kelvin and i remembered the event of the afternoon. With her question i was sure kelvin did not tell her about it. I told her yes and she ate in silence. Mom called on kelvin to join us at the living room where we saw a movie. Few minutes after the movie ended, mom said she was sleepy and she excused herself. I was left alone with kelvin in the living room and i did not know how to thank him for saving me from the fire accident and keeping it away from mom. I brought out the suya Jordan got for me and asked if he wanted some. Kelvin noded positively and i placed the suya on a small table between us. We took turn 2 eat from d suya as we watched an uninteresting movie. In d middle of eating i said 'thank you' to him nd he said 'u are welcome'. He dipped his hand in2 d suya pack and he brought it out empty,i did d same nd there was only a piece remaining,i divided it in2 two nd gave him 1,we both laughed as we ate d last piece. ********************** I left for my room after having the last piece of suya with Kelvin. I was beginning to like kelvin,he was most of the time calm and quiet but we just connect naturally. I got to my room and my phone signified there was a new message. I clicked on the message and it was from Jordan. In the message he said he got home not long ago and he did not know if my mom would still be scolding me by then which was why he decided to send a sms. I smilled and called him after reading his message. He sounded happy when i called and he told me how worried he was thinking i would be scolded by mom becos of him. I told him mom did not complain and we talked for a while before hanging up. I took my bath and retired for the day. I woke up 6:30 on Tuesday morning, i said my prayer and went to mom's room be4 coming back to dress up for school. I wore a straped pink&black crop top on a high waist blue tight jean trouser and a blue pair of snickers with a pink chain bag. Ever since mom gave me the chain and ring dad got for me,i saw it as a last gift from my dad which i had to treasure and i promised myself never to remove it, if possible i would pass it on to my daughter when i have a family. I pulled out the chain over my top and wore a gold earring to match. I put on my wrist watch and wore a 'Smart collection' perfume before leaving for the kitchen to get breakfast. I met kelvin in the kitchen, i greeted him and asked if he had boiled the water for tea. He replied yes. I was about leaving the kitchen when he said "Smart collection", i turned to face him and said what did u say? He smilled and said "your perfume,its a product of smart collection". I smilled and replied yes before leaving for the dinning room. Wondering how he got to know the name of the perfume collection i was wearing. I had my breakfast and informed mom i was ready for school before d driver took me to school. The receptionist greeted me warmly and i went to my department. It was few minutes to nine when i arrived but unlike yesterday,the hall was filled up already. I greeted some of my course mate be4 settling down in an empty sit. I checked my whatsap and i saw a message from Jordan ,he said he would be leaving for school later in the day and wont be back until weekend. 'I wonder why everybody that makes my life fun always end up disappearing' i thought. I replied his message with 'stay safe' and logged out of whatsap. Minutes later a man came into the lecture room and introduced himself has the government teacher. After the government class i left to have lunch at the school cafeteria. I got my order and settled in an empty sit and I was about starting to eat when two girls came to join me,they introduced themeselv as Simi and Toke. I also told them my name and they asked alot of questions about the school i graduated from and the university i would love to attend. This two girls sure love to talk alot as they went on and on about their choice of school and their reason for choosing the school. I would'nt love talkatives as friends so i excused myself after my meal and left for the general class. We had mathematics as the general subject for the day. I hate mathematics as a subject and if i had the chance,i would have removed the course from d list of compulsory courses. After the lesson,d teacher gave us an assignment to submit on the following day and i was full of thought,not knowing who would help me to solve the mathematical problems. I arrived home by 3:00pm and met mom's absent. I called her and she told me she had a bussiness transaction to carry out and would be back soon. I saw and greeted kelvin in d living room and headed to my room. I took my bath and had a change of clothe before going to the dinning room,to have lunch. There was nothing on the dinning table when i got there, so i asked kelvin 'whats for lunch?' he said mom told him to wait for me be4 making lunch in order to know what i would want to have since she wont be around to have lunch with us. I said 'ok' and left for d kitchen. I was about putting the pot on fire when kelvin came into d kitchen and said "ready to cause another disaster?" I smilled and told him yesterday incident was a mistake and am a good cook. He asked me what i wanted to make and i told him rice. He then suggested we make the meal together if i wont let him make it alone. While cooking we discussed about different things like celebrities,d government and school. I was surprised he was intelligent and well informed about everything. During the conversation,i got to know he was a civil engineering OND holder from kwara state polytechnic. Just as i had thought, he told me he had to work to further his education because his mom was not financially stable at the moment. He did not talk about his dad and i did not bother to ask. The rice was ready and we ate together on the dinning table, after which, i went to my room to have a nap. My phone ringing tone woke me up, i sluggishly checked the screen and the caller I.D displayed Khole. I hurriedly picked her call,heaven knows i missed her alot. At first i acted as if i was angry with her and she apologised and told me she has been bussy with school. Khole asked after mom and Jordan. I told her everything that as happened and she kept on shouting 'I said it!!' into the phone. I had to put the phone away from my ear for sometime. After shouting for a while i could hear her asking if i was stil on phone. I replied her and she started giving me relationship tips. She went on and on even though i told her i was'nt dating Jordan yet. After what seemed like eternity khole said she had a lecture to attend and would call me back when she is done. I told her i will do the calling and dropped the call. Time checked 5:00pm and mom was not back yet. I placed a call through to her and she said she will be going to church from her super market. She also said we should make fried plantain and egg for dinner. I ended the call with mom and went to inform kelvin of what we would be making for dinner. I found kelvin in his room and after informing him of what we would make for dinner we headed to the kitchen. Kelvin asked me if i could make the meal and i told him i could try,he then smilled and said he could teach me if am ready to learn. He told me i cant be with my mom for the rest of my life and i cant possibly take a maid with me every where i go,so i have to learn how to make anything i eat. He sounded like a brother so, instead of getting angry with him for trying to boss me around,i agreed to start learning how to cook from him. The cooking lesson with kelvin was interesting,at first i did cut the plantain into a wrong shape but with kelvin's correction, i was able to get the perfect oval shape. After frying the plantain,we fried the egg and set the table for dinner. I was so excitedly anxious to tell mom that i fried the plantain and eggs with the help of kelvin. After the cooking i asked kelvin if he could help me solve some mathematical problem and he said he would give it a trial. Kelvin saw the questions as cheap ones and he teased me about been a lazy student in mathematics. Kelvin put me through as he solved the assignment and the topic got more understandable for me. Been done with my assignment i was on my way to my room when my phone started ringing,at first i thought it would be khole calling to continue her sermon but the caller I.D displayed Jordan. I accepted the call and we talked for a while. He promised to be back by friday and he invited me to his birthday which will be taking place at his resident on sunday. Finally we decided to meet at our hotel on saturday. I ended the call and went to stay with kelvin in the living room. Mom got back by 6:30pm,we had dinner,after which i told her i made the meal with the help of kelvin. She told me she was proud of me and blessed kelvin for taking as his younger sister. We saw a movie together and we all retired for the day. I woke up 6:30am on Wednesday morning,i greeted mom and kelvin,had my breakfast and left for school. Before the literature class in the morning,the mathematics assignment was collected and everybody's book was returned during lunch apart from mine. Since we would be having mathematics class after lunch i did not bother to go and see the lecturer privately. The mathematics class was more fun since i was able to contribute due to the understanding i gained from kelvin,i was happy i was getting better in a course i once hate. After the lesson the mathematics lecturer said he had an announcement to make, he cleared his throat and said " I am highly disappointed in you all over the simple question i gave you to solve. This is an entrance exam to higher institution you are all about to take,you all need to buckle your belts. Only one out of a hundred student solved the question to my desire and got the answer correctly,her booklet is here with me and she go by the name....ehm...'WILLIAMS NANCY' Please applaud her as she come forward" I could not believe my ears as i heard my name. All eyes were on me as i composed myself and walked forward to collect my booklet,he shook my hand and told me to keep it up as he handed my booklet over to me. After handing my booklet to me he left the hall and i went back to my sit. Am sure many of the students now saw me as a GURU in mathematics as they kept on requesting for my booklet and asking me to explain some areas to them. After the day's lecture,i went home proud of myself and proud of kelvin,its not all about the handsome face but the intelligence got me really tripping. Episode 7 Continues.. ********************** When i arrived from school,i hurriedly came out of the car and went in search of kelvin. I met him in the kitchen and excitedly threw myself into his arm in a bare hug. I could tell he was surprised but he accepted the hug. He released himself from my grip and asked for the reason he is getting a hug. I told him everything that happened in school, he smilled and said i will have to start respecting him now else he would tell my secret to the whole school if i disrespect him. I pushed him playfully and left for my room. Mom was not around so i had lunch with kelvin and had my nap. I woke up by 5:00pm and made dinner with kelvin. He taught me how to make garri and vegetable soup,though the meal was a little bit difficult, it was fun making it with kelvin. Mom got back by 7:00pm,we had dinner and went to our separate room after seeing a movie. Jordan called and insisted we chat. So, we had a long chat before i finally slept off by 12:00am. I woke up lately the following morning due to the late night chat with Jordan. I hurriedly got out of bed, greeted mom and kelvin, then hurriedly dressed and left for school without breakfast. The litrature class was going on already when i got to my department, i greeted Miss.esther and made for an empty sit when i noticed people were unnecessarily looking at me. I was about sitting when miss.Esther called my name and i turned to face her. She said "Nancy,are you not the one I saw in chemistry class some minutes ago,you told me you are a science student when i asked what you were doing in chemistry class. I already told the class you've switched to science department or did you change your mind again??" I could not understand what miss.Esther was driving at,myself? In chemistry class?. Miss.Esther question brought me back to reality,as she asked again if i had changed my mind . I told her i was just arriving school and i do not even know where the chemistry laboratory is located. I could see the surprise on her face when she asked if i really was not the person she saw at the science lab this morning,i replied positively and she asked me to follow her. I dropped my bag and we both matched out of the class. We got to the science lab the chemistry teacher also was surprised to see me he looked at me and said "Nelly I thought you said you were going to the rest room, when did you have a change of cloth?" I did not know what to say so i just told him am not Nelly.The chemistry teacher asked Miss.esther what was going on and she told him she was as surprised as he was. The chemistry teacher took my i.d and i was wondering what kind of drama was going on,who the hell is Nelly anyways?? I was still thinking when the chemistry teacher removed his eyes from my I.D and he concentrated his gaze on the entrance. Miss.Esther did the same and so did everybody in the hall. I followed their gaze and I saw the shock of my life!!!!!! Even without a mirror i could tell that she looked exactly like me, she was expensively dressed as well, with the same fair skin,pointed nose,big eye ball and every other thing was the same as every part of my body except the height. I was a bit taller than her. Wow what a world!! She was also looking at me from head to toe just the way i was looking at her in surprise. Miss.Esther and the chemistry teacher exchanged glance and kept on looking from Myself to my look alike. 'Are you sure the two of you are not identical twin?' the chemistry teacher brooke the silence with his question. I could not respond i just shook my head. The chemistry teacher asked My look alike to come in and she came closer,there was whispering every where as everybody could not hide there surprise. Miss.Esther asked if we have met before and we both said 'No', she then asked for her surname and she said 'Stanley', so you are 'Nelly Stanley' while you are 'Nancy Williams'? The chemistry teacher asked, we both noded and the chemistry teacher said "truly God created human in twoS, if the two of you are not blood related,this will really be amazing". The chemistry teacher speech got me thinking if truly am not an only child and if possibly Nelly is my sister,why would mom ever lie to me? I asked myself without an answer as miss.Esther took my hand and we walked back to my department. I did not pay full attention to the literature lesson so the class ended on a boring note. I went to the cafeteria to get lunch and if only eyes could kill,i should be dead by now. I was waiting for my order when i felt a tap on my shoulder, i looked behind me and i saw another version of me! She smilled charmingly and said 'Hi, am Nelly'. God! She even smilled like me!! Seeing her made me short of words and words could not describe how i felt. I opened my mouth but i could not produce a word. How can we look this alike and not be blood related? I asked myself. The cafeteria attendance voice brought me back to reality, she was asking me to pickup my order and allow my sister have hers. I quickly said 'Hi' to Nelly and took my order. Since Nelly was the next person in line, i waited on her to get her order for me not to appear unfriendly. After getting her order, she said 'Thankyou' and i responded with 'welcome'. We settled in an empty table and started to eat. She asked for my name and i told her 'Nancy' then she said "so you are Nancy and i am Nelly and together we are N square" we both laughed and continued to discuss as we eat. Nelly asked about my parent and she said she would love to meet them, suprisingly she is an only child as well and she did not hide how happy she was to have a twin sister. According to her, even if we are not blood related, our appearance made us a set of identical twin, we laughed at her theory and had a selfiee after lunch. With Nelly it felt like we have been together for years. We left the cafeteria together after lunch and we walked hand in hand to the general class. The mathematics teacher could not hide his surprise when he saw nelly, he asked why my twin sister was just resuming school,i told him Nelly was not my twin and he could not hide is shock as he, diverted from the lecture to asking questions about myself and Nelly. The class ended and i left the school compound with Nelly, her driver arrived early but she waited for my driver to arrive before she left. The car was moving slower because i was so anxious to get home. I needed to tell my mom everything about Nelly and be reassured that i am an only child. Having Nelly as a sister wont be a bad idea but i needed to be sure before i would draw a conclusion. I got home 3:20pm,i hurried out of the car to my mom's room. Mom was dressing up for somewhere when i got to her room, i hurriedly greeted her with a hug and told her we needed to talk. Mom sat me down on her bed and i told her everything about Nelly,she asked for the pictures and i could see the shock in her eyes when she saw the resemblance. I asked mom if i was adopted or if probably am a twin. Mom smilled and said "Nancy my baby,come here" i went into her arms and she continued " dont you ever think i will lie to you, you are all i have and all i need, i have no reason whatsoever to lie to you about anything. Surly this other girl looks like you but am also sure i did not give birth to a set of twin. You are the only apple of my eye. You know what? invite this girl over for lunch on friday and tell her i would love to meet her parents" Mom ended her speech and released me from her arm. I apologised for doubting mom and she said its a normal reaction. Mom left afterwards and i went to my room. After changing my dress into something more comfortable i went to the kitchen and met kelvin making lunch. We exchanged pleasantries and he asked about school. I told kelvin about Nelly and mom's request, i also showed him the picture and he was as well shocked. Kelvin promised to make the best lunch on Friday,since i would be bringing my twin home and we both laughed. I was not really hungry so i left the kitchen after talking with kelvin. I called khole and Jordan,i told them about nelly and Jordan asked me to share the picture we took on whatsap. I went to school happily the following day, i looked forward to lunch during my first lecture. I was so anxious to know what Nelly's reply would be when i tell her about my mom's invite. The class ended and i rushed to the cafeteria in search of Nelly. I saw her sitting alone,immediately she saw me,she jumped towards me and hugged me. I returned the hug and we both went to place an order for lunch. We were yet to start eating when Nelly smilled and said " Twinny, i told my parent about you, and they were very happy. They said i should invite you over for lunch today,please dont say no" I was suprised, i told her about my mom's invite as well and we both laughed. During lunch i called mom and she agreed with me going with Nelly but on the condition that i will go with the driver and her parent will come with her for lunch on friday in order to clear all doubt. I told Nelly about my mom's conditions and she called her dad to inform him about my mom's conditions. Nelly's dad said he could only make dinner on friday because he would be bussy during lunch. I called mom back to inform her and she agreed with the arrangement. Nelly was happy about the arrangement and so was i, i was just a bit nervous about meeting her family. After lunch,we left for English class together and throughout the lecture i could not keep the thought of what Nelly's parent reacting would be out of my mind. ********************** After the day's lecture i went to Nelly's house with my driver. Her house was a beautiful mansion,her parent welcomed me like their child and her mom kept calling me 'her daughter'. We settled in the large living room and Nelly's dad asked me about my background,he could not hide how happy he was to have two daughters and he went on and on to express his joy. After the brief discussion, Nelly's mom led us to the dinning room and we had a delicious meal of fried rice and chicken. We laughed and disscussed like a family throughout the meal. Nelly's mom talked about nelly's childhood and she kept asking if we had the same childhood behaviour. Nelly took me to her room after lunch and she gave me her family album to go through. I noticed different pictures of a particular guy and i asked Nelly who he was. She took a deep breathe and said "Twinny, his name is Uche and he his a son of a minister, i was betrothed to him ever since i was ten but i have no interest in him. Mom and dad made it compulsory for me to marry uche in future, in order to boost dad's political carrier". I could feel the sadness in Nelly's voice so i moved closer to her and consoled her. I told her her parents, might change their mind or she might end up falling inlove with the guy. Nelly cheered up alittle and asked if i had a boyfriend, i told her about Jordan without hidding the fact that we were just friends at the moment but we might end up together in future. Nelly said she wished she could fall inlove with some one of her choice as well. We gisted alot and had fun playing video games before i made my departure know to Nelly. Nelly informed her parent of my departure and they saw me off to the car. I collected Nelly's number and her parent's as well before leaving the Stanleys mansion. Mom welcomed me with questions about the stanleys as i arrived home, i told her everything about the family and she was happy i found a sister and a friend. Mom asked for Mr. Stanley's number and called to appreciate their kind gesture. She also promised to send a driver to lead their way to our house the following day for dinner. I was about leaving for my room when mom said " Baby, jordan's parent called to invite you to his birthday party on sunday evening. I can see you two are getting close, hope am not missing anything ma'am?" i smilled and told mom i do not know what she was talking about but i will surly honour the invite. I could hear her laughter as i left for my room. I had a change of cloth and went to meet Kelvin in the kitchen. He was making dinner and he welcomed me with questions as well. I told him about the stanleys as we made beans and plantain for dinner. After dinner, i excused myself to my room and called Jordan. I told him about the stanleys and he said he would love to meet Nelly. We decided we should all meet at our hotel gym on saturday morning. The following day was friday, school was fun with Nelly and during lunch i informed her of Jordan's invite. She was equally happy and she accepted to come over on saturday. I also invited Nelly to Jordan's birthday party but she declined, saying her parent wont let her hang out at night. The day's lecture ended and we departed, promising to see eachother at dinner. Time checked 7:00pm, i was so excited when i heard the sound of cars arriving our compound,without been told i knew it was the Stanleys. I rushed downstairs to join mom in welcoming our guest. Just the way Nelly's mother welcomed me, mom also welcomed her like her child. Formal introductions were made and we all went to the dinning room following mom's lead. After dinner i took Nelly to my room and the adults were left to disscuss. I invited kelvin over to my room and we all discussed like long lost friends. By 8:00pm the stanleys were ready to leave, it was a sad goodbye but nelly consoled me by reminding me of our meeting the following day. After the Stanleys departure i followed mom to her room and immediately we settled on her bed, i asked her if i am related to Nelly. She took a deep breathe and said with a sad tone "No baby, she is a sickler and you are not". I went into mom's arm with mixed feeling. Episode 8 Continues.. ********************** I woke up on Saturday morning early, i had so many thought on my mind, part of it was about Nelly's health condition. I got out of my night wear and went to my mom's room. I met her dressing up already, i greeted her and she hugged me before responding. She noticed my mood and she asked what was wrong with me. I told her how worried i was over Nelly's health, she then went ahead to explain that Nelly is a sickler because her dad is also a sickler but he is able to stay healthy because of his regular medical checkup and treatment. She also pointed out that the same treatment is been administered to Nelly and i have nothing to worry about. I hugged mom and felt relived, i also told her about our outing with Jordan and she was in support of it. I had breakfast with mom before she left for her super market. Nelly called at 9:00am to inform me she was already on her way,i also called Jordan and he told me he was already at the gym. I got ready for the gym and informed kelvin of my departure. Nelly arrived by 9:30am and we both left for the gym in her car. We got to the gym but i could not locate Jordan,i was about calling him when i heard somebody say "Looking for me?" behind me. I turned and saw Jordan sweating and drinking from a bottle of water. He was wearing a body hug shirt which revealed his well built muscle, i could hear Nelly murmuring 'Woah'. I do not blame her even myself at that particular moment was tripping for Jordan's body. I smilled and hugged jordan and i could tell he was suprised but he received the hug. I released myself from Jordan's arm and introduced Nelly to him. He expressed his suprise in words and joked about hoping to marry the two of us in future. We all laughed and i hit him playfully. After spending close to an hour at the gym, i suggested we call it a day because i was starving due to the exercise.Both jordan and nelly laughed at me before I left the gym with Nelly and she had fruit with me before leaving. After Nelly's departure the Saturday was boring and so was the early hours of sunday. Mom got me a beautiful and sexy pink gown to grace Jordan's party with a beautiful set of diamond jewelry. She practically dressed me up for the party and my mom's fashion taste was awesome,even Kelvin could not hide his surprise when he saw me fully dressed for the party. He showered me with compliment before i left for the party. I arrived at Jordan's residence at 7:00pm and he could not hide is suprise as he kept on saying "You look beautiful Nancy". Jordan's parent welcomed me warmly and he led me to the party. The party was more of a get together than a birthday party. People were sitted in groups as they chat and laugh loudly. Jordan introduced me to some of the guest, after which we settled down with them. The weather was getting cold and my short dress did close to nothing in protecting me from the cold, Jordan noticed i was feeling uncomfortable and he asked if i would love to go inside,i agreed and we excused ourself from the gathering. Jordan opened the door to a room and he said "Welcome to my beautiful room". Indeed the room was beautiful but his self praise would not let me agree to it. Jordan excused himself to the rest room after we entered. I looked around his room and i was shocked to see a huge picture of myself and Jordan. I looked at the picture closely and i remembered it was the picture we took together at Vectoh's studio. I could not help but admire the picture, i touched the big frame and memories of that day came into my head. Judging from the picture we will make a perfect match. " Why not touch the living me,instead of the lifeless picture?" Jordan said from the door.I turned and smilled. He came close to me and said "seriously touch me" i stood fixed to a point without a response. He took my hand and placed it on his chest. I looked away shyly and he said "can you feel my heart beat? Its beating for you Nancy. I don't know how but am falling uncontrollably for you every second. I know you feel something for me,please dont say no to Us" I did not know what or how to feel,i opened my mouth to utter a word but it was dry. My thought was interupted with Jordan's touch on my cheek,i could feel my body vibrate as he placed his lips on mine. I wanted to stop but i ended up wrapping my hands around his neck as we kissed. It felt so real and beautiful,i was in paradise. Jordan brooke the kiss and lifted my head to meet his gaze before saying "Will you be mine Nancy?" I responded with a nod and he said he needed an answer. I said yes and he lifted me from the ground into his arms. It felt too good to be real but i felt love and comfort. My phone started to ring and the caller I.D was my mom's,without been told i knew its time to leave.I told Jordan and we made for the door.I was about opening the door when he pulled me back and claimed my lips. THIS WAS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW CHAPTER OF MY LIFE AND THE BEGINNING OF NEW THINGS. MY LIFE DRASTICALLY TOOK A NEW TURN. After ending the kiss with Jordan,i left for home. Throughout the ride home,i was feeling fly and my joy knew no bound. I rushed into mom's arms immediately i got home,she could tell i was happy but she thought i was been greatful for the dress. After hugging mom,i went to kelvin's room and i told him about Jordan,he was happy for me and he hugged me before i left. When i got to my room,i called khole and she kept on screaming 'yes!' into my ears. She promised to come over the following day to celebrate. Jordan also called before i slept, he made beautiful promises of love and i was overwhelmed. When joy know no bound,it brings about tears. I cried to bed feeling too happy and greatful to the lord. Most especially for having love around me. The following morning,Jordan woke me up with a phone call,after which he sent a beautiful sms,love is beautiful. I greeted mom and prepared for school. Getting anxious at what Nelly's reaction would be when i tell her about Jordan. I went to school in a happy mood. I had lunch with Nelly and i told her about Jordan.Actually she asked after Jordan first. I could sense that Nelly was not genuinely happy when i told her about my new relationship status with Jordan so i had to change the topic. The day ended on a boring note as Nelly started acting cold. On my way home,i called Khole and she told me she was on her way already. I got home 3:00pm and mom was fully dressed for shop. I hugged her and she asked if i would love to come with her. I told her khole was coming over so i had to be home. Mom said she felt like driving herself and she left alone in her hilux without a driver. I had a change of cloth and informed Kelvin that Khole would be coming over. Khole arrived at 4:00pm and i was super excited to see her. She did not wait to settle down before she started asking me about jordan. I told her everything that happened and she started teasing me. She brought up the happenings of the day we met Jordan and she had fun laughing alone. I made to pull Khole's hair but the ringing of my phone stopped me. The caller I.D was my mom's so i hurriedly pick the call and said "Hey momma" i was expecting my mom's laughter from the other end but all i heard was the voice of a complete stranger. "Please the owner of this phone was involved in an accidents and she has been rushed to general hospital,please be there on time" the stranger ended the call and i could feel sweat all over me, everywhere became dark and i was lost for a minute. Khole noticed my mood and asked me what happened, i stammered and said "My mom...accident...hospital..." khole quickly picked up my phone and called my mom back. The stranger picked up again and i heard khole asking questions from him. I did not know how i got to the hospital cos i was so destabilized but i saw myself there with khole and kelvin. Immediately we got to the hospital i rushed to the reception,i asked the nurse on duty about an accident victim that was rushed in some minutes ago. She told us her ward and said the doctor was stil attending to her so we had to wait. Few minutes later a nurse came out of the ward and she asked for 'Nancy' she said the patient was requesting to see me. I rushed into the room and what my eyes saw shattered my world. I could not believe my eyes, my mom was healthy some minutes ago and now in great pain. My mom had a deep cut on her head,and i could not even see her legs. Is it that her legs disappeared or Was it my eyes? I do not know. I moved closer to mom and held her hand, her hand was shaking but she managed to touch my cheek. She looked deep into my eyes and said "My baby....Nancy.....Be STRONG....". That was mom's last word before she started breathing heavily,i grabbed her hand tightly and kept on screaming "Mom!!!! Dont leave me,remember you are my world! My pillar! My everything!!. Mom without you....without you mom there is no me. Mom say something! Talk to me mom!! Why cant you be strong? For me mom, BE STRONG!". I started to cry as i screamed, mom continued to shake and a nurse forcefully took me out when the doctor said she would be rushed to the E.R (Emergency Room). I came out of the ward and went into khole's arm,she was also in tears as she asked me what happened. I was yet to answer Khole's question when my mom was wheeled out of the ward. Mom what is life, if you are not here with me? theres no love without you mom,everywhere is dark! So dark that i cant see whats before me mom. Why did'nt I go with you when you asked me to come? Come back to me mom! Dont you ever think of going away!" i shouted without minding the people staring at me. Kelvin moved closer to me and said there was stil hope, doctors perform wonders in E.R and all we had to do is PRAY! I cried and prayed, hoping for a miracle. ********************** I was together with khole and jordan as we waited for the doctor to come out of the E.R. I prayed,hoped and prayed again. I got tired of praying while sitting so i went on my kneels and prayed,hoping my new position will hasten the miracle. I stood up immediately i saw the doctor coming toward us,i rushed to him and asked after my mom. The doctor held my hand and said "Time of death 5:30pm. Am sorry ma'am" and he left. The doctors' words were simple but too difficult for me to decode. I held khole and asked her what the doctor said but she did not respond,i moved closer to kelvin, tap him on his shoulder and said "Kelvin what was he talking about,i asked after my mom not a dead body" kelvin held me close to himself and looked away without a response. I could see the tears he was trying to hide. The truth was right before me but i was so blind to see it. Everywhere became dark suddenly and the last thing i remember before i passed out was my mom's last statement "My baby....Nancy....Be strong". I did not know for how long i have been unconscious but i finally opened my eyes on a hospital bed. When i became fully conscious,i saw khole,aunty Oyinkan,kelvin and jordan beside me. I made to sit upright and aunty oyinkan rushed at me, she held my hand and said "Nancy... my dear, i am here for you,we are here for you, be strong for us" i could feel the sadness and pity in her voice but that was not what i needed, all i ever wanted was my mom,my world,my everything and my mentor. Aunty oyinkan urged me to say something and all i could say was "Aunty where is my mom?" She did not respond, she only buried her head in her hands and i could hear her weep. I did not have the strength to ask further questions so i turned to the wall and thought about my life, my mom and my future. Everywhere was silent. I woke up the following day to the sound of argument, jordan was the only one with me and he was sitting close to my bed. Few minutes later i could hear the voice of my uncle arguing with the doctor and aunty oyinkan. He was requesting for me to be discharged,in order for the burial arrangements to commence. At the mention of burial,the truth i was not willing to accept became real to me, so mom is dead and she would be buried soon. I could not fight back my tears. Jordan held my hand and kissed then in a bid to console me,he told me everything will be alright and he promised to be there for me. Though i knew nothing will be alright, i was consoled by his words. I was discharged the same day and aunty Oyinkan took me home. I arrived my compound and saw cars everywhere as alot of people came to pay there last respect. I could not respond to people's greeting as i walked into the main building ,it will only make me break down. Immediately i entered my house i went to my mom's room and requested to be alone. Everybody honoured my request and i locked the door behind me. Mom's room was still as i left it and her scent was everywhere. I took some of her clothes and sniffed it,her scent filled my noise and i wished for death. This is the woman i have lived with all my life, a true mother, a friend and a teacher. Why mom? The torture her scent was giving me was too much for me so i dropped her clothes and took her picture from the wall. Mom was smilling beautifully in the picture and i wondered if she would stil smille now without realising the pains she left behind. I was still in tears when I heard a knock on the door and i reluctantly open up,kelvin came in and informed me that my presence was needed downstairs, he did not wait for a reply before leaving. I took one of my mom's dress with me and left the room. I got to our living room and i saw most of my mom's relative gathered, i sat on the floor and held my mom's dress close to my nose. Mr. Ikebe, the oldest man in my mom's family cleared his throat and said " i greet you all my children, i know that our gathering here today is that of pain and sorrow but this meeting is a very important one. The late Lillian was a daughter, a mother, a sister and a cheerful giver. We all loved her when she was alive. She honoured us during her days on earth which is the reason why we will honour her now that she is dead by giving her a befitting burial. As we all know Nancy is the only child left behind by the deceased but she is too young to step into her mother's shoe, which is the reason why we have decided that Mike, who is the late Lillians' only brother will step into her shoes. He wil take over from where lillian stopped and he wil take care of her burial, her business,her property and her daughter. This is the family decision,ones again i greet you all" Mr.Ikebe ended his speech and i could hear murmuring everywhere but i could not stand a minutes more with them. I left for my mom's room and waited for the worst. Life is full of ups and down! Sweet and Sour!! Happiness and Sadness. I wish i was dreaming. To be continued..

Episode 9 Continues.. ********************** The D-day was saturday, the day my mom was buried. I woke up sad but i gathered all my strength and i tried to stay strong. I was able to hide my tears as we all left our compound dressed in white, heading to the cemetery to burry my world. I thought i was strong,i thought i gathered enough strength until when my mom's coffin was brought out of the ambulance, i wanted to go crazy. I released myself from jordan's grip and ran to the coffin, i screamed,requesting to see my mom's lifeless body but nobody listened to me, i cried my eyes out, if only mom was there, she would have listen to me, she always listen to me!! I shouted. Kelvin carried me away from the coffin and consoled me. I was calm for a while and when the coffin was taken away, i became more calm. We got to the space provided for my mom to be buried and the coffin was brought out again. My mom was lowered to the ground as the priest ended his sermon with "From dust we were made and to dust we will return". I was called upon to pour sand on her coffin and i could not bear it any longer. It was so difficult, so difficult for me to see my mom,my world, my present and my future been buried while i stay put. I wanted to jump into her grave but kelvin and jordan were too strong for me to escape their grip. what wil be my reason for staying behind when the reason for my existence was been buried? Just like yesterday, dad was been buried but mom was here for me and she gave me a shoulder for me to cry on, now that she is gone, on whose shoulder will i cry on? My mom the most loving Mrs.williams was covered up with sand and that was the last i saw of her. After the burial, a flamboyant ceremony was organised, people ate and drank as if mom's death was been celebrated. I stayed in her room throughout the ceremonial period. Khole,kelvin,au nty oyinkan,jordan and nelly took turn to visit me but none of them could feel what i felt,i lost a mother while they lost a family friend. By the third week of my mom's death,most of the visitors left and the house was empty. I was left with kelvin and the other workers. Kelvin did alot for me and he tried all his possible best to console me but my mom is irreplaceable. On monday afternoon of the fourth week My uncle seek to meet with the workers and myself. We all settled down in the living room and my uncle said " I greet you all for honouring my invite and am greatful for your support during my late sister's burial. Without beating about the bush, My reason for calling this meeting is to inform u all that your appointment with this family has been terminated, you all have been relived of your duties. The sum of a hundred thousand will given to all of you now and you are to vacate this premises latest tomorrow evening. Ones again Goodafternoon". My uncle ended his speech and he left. I looked at kelvin and he looked back at me, i did not know what to feel anymore as tears rushed down my cheek. I met with my uncle and pleaded with him to allow kelvin stay but he refused and said,this is now his house and his bussiness. He is the only determinant of who leaves and who stays. I left in tears and rushed to mom's room. I felt a tap on my shoulder and i looked up, kelvin was infront of me. He smilled at me and asked if i was crying because i wont find a great cook like him. I forced a smille and he sat beside me. Kelvin took my hands and said "Nancy, i want to offer you my penny, please listen attentively. You need to be strong but you should not fight for yourself Nancy. Look around you, everybody is hungry for you mom's wealth, if you play hard, they will end up using you as a stepping stone. Sometimes you have to play the fool to win the world. Now is not the time to fight for yourself, just watch, play along and learn..." kelvin ended his piece of advice and i went into his arm. He released himself from my grip and i offered to help him pack his bag. Early tuesday morning, kelvin and all the workers were ready to leave, they all offered their condolences and promised to check on me. Kelvin was the last person to leave and before he left he took my hand and dropped some naira note and said "this is fifty thousand naira,you will need it, remember be strong and i will keep intouch". I could not hold back my tears when kelvin left, the sacrifice he made got me emotional. Even though he was brooke,he gave me half of his pay off. As soon as the workers were sent away,new workers were employed by aunty Nike(uncle mike's wife). The first day she came, she respond casually to my greeting and she parade the compound,showing each of the workers their duty post as if the house belong to her. I watched her through the window from my mom's room,i could not help but remember my mom,she would not have been doing all this if mom were to be here. Mom where are you? I need you now more than before. Death why my mom? I wept. The following sunday, uncle mike moved in with his family. I came back from church (i realised i need God now than ever) and met a full house. Uncle mike was in the living room, i greeted him and headed to my mom's room. I was about opening the door when i heard someone say "where do you think you are going?". I turned back and saw aunty Nike,i greeted and told her i wanted to stay in my mom's room. She laughed and said "which room? You this spoilt rat, dont you know that this is the master bedroom? All your late mom's leftover have been taken care of. This room now belong to my husband and i, in you miserable life dont you ever step your foot in that room" she ended her speech and walked away. Aunty Nike's words were so painful and unbelievable. They did not allow me to see the last of my mom, how can they deny my seeing the last of her personal belongings? Those things are suppose to be my last hope! I could not bear not seeing my mom's belongings,the scent from her clothes brings me to believe she is still around,even if its one i need to get her dress. I made to open the door to mom's room without realizing that Aunty Nike was still watching me from behind. She rushed towards me with full speed and landed a slap on my cheek. I saw stars,my eyes turned red blood, i was yet to recover from the shock when she pulled me by my hair and she dragged me to the living room. "Mike come and see this stupid girl o,she want to enter the master bedroom,our room! for relaxation" aunty nike shouted. Uncle mike stood up and asked if his wife already told me that my mom's stuffs were no longer there. She replied yes and he said "So after telling you that your mother belongings were burnt, you still have the mind to go into my room? The next time you disobey my wife you will starve to death,ok?" uncle mike thundered. I noded and he left with his wife. I fell to the ground and for the first time i did not weep for mom, i wept for myself. I wept for the sweet days have had and for the awful days am about to start,all i could say was "why me God?" I questioned my creator. I was still crying when i felt a tap on my shoulder,i looked up me and it was Lizzy,uncle mike's daughter. She pulled me up and led me to my room. She laid me on my bed and left. After her departure, I stopped to cry and gathered enough strength to get my phone and i dialed Kelvin's line. He picked immediately and he asked if i was ok and making use of his advice. I brooke into fresh tears and told him about the afternoon's incidence. He consoled me over the phone and told me to forget getting mom's personal belongings. He said my lock chain is available when ever i miss my parent. Kelvin told me to resume my jamb coaching the following day and make a beautiful future out of my life. We talked for a while before i ended the call. I gathered enough strength to get food,since nobody cares if i have eaten or not, i eat whenever i do not have the strength to cry anymore. The following monday,i woke up early and dressed for school. I was fully dressed by 7:00am,so i went to the dinning room to get breakfast. Aunty Nike came out of the kitchen and asked me to follow her. She went into the kitchen and pointed at a big bowl filled with dirty plate and asked me to do the washing. I almost cried and complained of been late. She slapped me, saying i should never defile her orders. With tears i started to wash the dirty plates and minutes later i noticed someone beside me, she took the plates and started to help. Again it was lizzy. It was 8:30am when i finished with the plates with lizzy. I hurried to the living room where my uncle was sitted,greeted him and asked for a driver to take me to school,he laughed wickedly and said "young lady i did not employ a driver for you,from now onward,you have to trek to school" i could not believe my ears,i explained to him that my school was a thirty minutes drive from home talkless of walking. He frown and shouted "do not disturb me! Am not forcing you to go,if you cant trek, go and help my wife at the super market. Now get out of my sight!" I picked up my bag and went into my room and wept for my life again. I remembered kelvin's words and brought out my chain lock, i looked at our family picture and i summon the strength to make my parents proud,where ever they are. I took from the money kelvin gave to me and hurried to school with a heart filled with determination to succeed. ********************** I took a public transport to school, it was a strange experience but not really a bad one. The only bad side of it was the driver stopping almost every five minutes for a passanger to highlight or to pick up a passanger,that made the journey slow. I got to school lately and literature class was on already. I greeted Miss.esther and settled down in an empty sit.The class ended shortly after my arrival and miss.esther said i should see her during lunch before she left.Most of my class mate offered their condolence and few of them tried to cheer me up. Nelly came for me during lunch,i did not go to the cafeteria so she came to my department. Nelly hugged me for a while and i felt love, she looked into my eyes with tears and concern and said "Twinny, how have you been? You look lean,what happened" i could not give nelly a respond, as tears started to roll down my cheek,she also started to cry. She engulfed me in a warm embrace as we both cried. Nelly brooke the embrace and took my hands,she promised to stay with me and i felt love again.I went to the cafeteria with nelly and had lunch which she paid for before i went to miss.esther's office. Immediately she saw me, she covered the transparent container she was eating from and asked me to take a sit. Miss.esther moved closer to me and said "Nancy am sorry about your mom, please be strong.I noticed you were extremely late today, did you wake up late? Or were too sad to dress up? Please be strong and make yourself proud. You are a bright girl, that is why am been concerned" i could not answer miss. Esther's questions, i just looked down at my feet as if it will produce answers. I gusse Miss. Esther noticed i was not willing to talk, she hugged me before i left her office for the general class. The general class ended and it was time to go back to hell, a place i once call home. While packing my bag Nelly came to me and said she informed her mom about my mood, and she want me over for lunch.I did not want to go with her at first but she pleaded and i agreed. We left together in her car after packing my bag. Immediately we got to Nelly's house, her mom rushed out and hugged me very tight, later She brooke the hug and looked into my eyes and said "How are you my child?" i could see the love and concern in her eyes, i told her i will be fine and she hugged me again. Mr.stanley was absent so i had lunch with Nelly and her mom. After lunch i went to nelly's room and she involved me in different activities to cheer me up.We were stil swimming when my phone started to ring at the pool side, i checked the caller I.D and it was Jordan. I accepted his call and he went on and on to tell me how bussy he was, which is the reason he could not keep in touch, he apologised and i accepted his apology. Jordan promised to check on me and call me often. It was when i ended the call with Jordan that i checked the time on my phone, the time was 5:00pm. Nelly followed me as i rushed out of the pool and changed into my dress, i hurriedly said my goodbye and Mrs.Stanley ordered Nellys' driver to take me home. I got home 5:45pm and rushed into the main building, i was about going into my room when aunty Nike shouted" where are you coming from?" i turned back,greeted her and told her i went to school. " is your school not suppose to close by 2:00pm?" aunty nike said. I do not know where this question and answer will lead to but i was hoping not to get a slap again. " After school i went to a friends'...." i was yet to finish the sentence when a slap landed on my left cheek. I held my cheek as hot tears rushed out of my eyes. Aunty Nike dragged me to my room and she started to search everywhere. She opened my bag and took my A.T.M card, she then searched my wardrobe, where i kept the money kelvin gave to me, immediately she saw the money she started shouting " O.M.G so you have started stealing, i know you are spoilt i never knew you are a thief as well. Mike must hear this" she ended her rantingand left. I sat on my bed depressed but i could not cry anymore. Uncle mike arrived home 9:00PM, immediately i came out to greet him, aunty nike rushed at him and said " Mike can you believe that nancy got home 8:00pm, she said she went to hangout with friends, and she stole my money, look at the fourty eight thousand i saw in her wardrobe". Uncle mike was boiling with anger, he looked at me and said " young lady,where did you get that money from? So you stole from my wife?" i was yet to answer his question when a hot slap landed on my cheek again. I was yet to recover from the slap, when uncle mike dragged me outside the house and said " you have the guts to hangout with friends? You think you can go out and come back anytime you like? Tonight! you will hangout with the mosquitoes. You idiot!" Uncle mike left me outside and locked the door. I was left outside, in the dark alone with my fate. . To be continued after comments..

Episode 10 Continues.. ********************** I knocked and pleaded with uncle mike and his wife, i cried,i screamed, i promised never to hangout again, i promised never to disobey them, i even coffessed to the sin i never committed, i told them i stole the money and i promised never to steal again But nobody listened to me. If only mom was here. When i had no strength to shout and cry anymore,i sat by the door step and "Goodbye's the saddest word" by "celien Dion" came to my mind, i sang with my last strength. "Mama you gave life to me turned a baby into a lady mama all you had to offer was a promise of a life time of love. Now know theres no other love like a mother's love for her child. And i know a love so complete somebody must leave must say goodbyes. Goodbye's the saddest word i'll ever hear. Goodbye's the last time i will hold you near someday u'll say that word and i will cry it'll break my heart to hear you say GOODBYE" Tears filled my eyes as i was singing, mom said her Goodbyes in the middle of nowhere and that made my life a living hell. I was still singing when a heavy wind started, i was so scared because the wind was so heavy, i moved closer to the door and covered myself with my bare hands. Few minutes later i heard sound of argument within the house,i could hear aunty nike screaming "Dont open" ontop of the voice. The door was opened and somebody offered me a hand. I looked up and i saw lizzy, she was in tears. Her parent were shouting at her from inside, they were telling her to let me remain outside where i belong but lizzy did not listen to them, instead she pulled me up and led me inside. I stood by the door in fear while lizzy locked the door. When lizzy was done locking the door,she faced her parents and said " even if she were to be a slave, you are not expected to treat her thia way talkless of you blood dad , am so disappointed in you. Mom you call yourself a mother but you have the heart of stone, where is the heart of a mother that you ought to posses? What are you people passing on to me?" Lizzy yelled at her parents and led me to my room. I knew uncle mike and his wife were angry with me for turning their daughter against them but i was equally surprised cos even though lizzy was nice to me, she do render assistance in the absence of her parent. She was the calm and gentle type that never goes against her parents. Lizzy made me lay on my bed and covered me up before leaving. I slept with many unanswered questions. Did the wind start to blow because of my song? What took the gentle lizzy away and made her bold enough to defend me? Probably did my mom heard me when i called on her? Do ghost really exist? Is mom still hanging around somewhere?. Those were the questions i could not answer. Lizzy woke me up the following morning and prepared a warm bath for me, she made me breakfast before leaving for school. When lizzy left i dressed up for school and went to greet my uncle and his wife. They did not respond to my greetings so i just left for school with no hope of how i will get to school. I called kelvin and explained my predicament to him,he was so pained that i could feel it in his voice,he told me he was out of town and not been able to help me, made matter worse for him, i consoled him and ended the call. My last option was Jordan, i called him and he promised to come immediately. Jordan got to my gate 30minutes later and he drove me to school, he left with the promise to come for me 2:00pm. I had alittle fun with Nelly and after school, Jordan came. Nelly rushed to hug jordan and i wondered if they have met before i introduced them to eachother. They had alittle chat before Jordan decided it was time to go. I said my goodbye to nelly and left with Jordan. Jordan parked in front of our gate and i was about to highlight from his car when i saw aunty nike coming from God knows where in my mom's car. She came down from the car and rushed at us,she knocked on the door and Jordan opened the door. Aunty nike started shouting in public "so you are the friend she always hangout with? You influenced her badly and taught her to disobey and steal. The next time i see you here, i wil get you arrested!" aunty nike shouted and left. I rushed out of the car and ran after her. Immediately she got inside she went to uncle mike and told him that a guy came to drop me off. She told my uncle that i do not even go to school anymore and all i do is hangout with men. My uncle stood up and made to hit me but he stopped half way and said "you will remain in this house and prepare for that Jamb, no more school for you till you gain admission into the university,ok!? I shook my head and ran to my room. That was the end of school for me. I had to coach myself for the exam. The following day, i called Jordan and apologised to him. He said he did not know that i was going through hell and made a slave in my own house already. He also said he thought i will be living like a queen now that my mom is dead and am left with all the wealth but reverse was the case. Even though Jordan's words came as an insult than concern to me, i did not react to it. He accepted my apology and i ended the call. I also called kelvin and he said i should not be depressed instead i should read and make sure i pass the exam. Lizzy came to my room and promised to plead with her parent to allow me continue with school. But i refused, in order not to cause conflict in the house. After lizzy departure to school everyday, i would wait in my room for uncle mike and his wife to leave the house as well. Once they are gone, i would go to the kitchen, make breakfast and keep some for lunch. I read mostly in the afternoon when am alone in the main building. Sometimes i read at night when am not too scared of the dark. This was my daily routine until one Thursday, Aunty Nike came back early that day from shop and met me cooking. I was making yam and egg sauce for myself. Immediately she entered the house she came to the kitchen. I greeted her but instead of responding she rushed toward the pot on fire. She checked the yam then the egg sauce and she started to scream. "Jesus! I had ordinary bread and tea for breakfast this morning and here you are making yam and egg sauce for yourself? I can see you have been growing fat on what you did not work for. This laziness must stop today. Go inside right now and dress up! You wil start working as a sales girl in my supermarket till you gain admission! Ok?" Aunty Nike ended her speech, but i stood, rooted to a point. I heard her perfectly well but i could not believe she could be so mean to make me a sales girl in my mom's supermarket. "Will you move it before i decend on you!" Aunty nike's voice brought me back to reality. I hurriedly turn off the gas cooker and rushed to my room. I was yet to dressup when i heard Aunty Nike call my name. I pulled my dress over my head quickly and rushed downstairs, i got into the car and the driver zoomed off to the supermarket. I was going back to my mom's super market, the same place my mom was heading to before she met her untimely death. In the past, i would go there either to shop or to be with mom but that day, i was going there to start working as a sales girl. Tears rushed down my cheek as i thought about the irony of my life. We got to the super market and i discovered that just the way our house workers were sacked, the workers at the super market were replaced as well. Aunty Nike called the other girls and said " I called you all here to introduce a new employee to you. Her name is Nancy and she will be the errand girl. She is spoilt and lazy,but make sure you report her to me whenever she disobey you. You can all take your leave" Aunty Nike ended her speech and all the girls went back to their duty post. I was made a massanger in a supermarket owned by my mom, that was the effect of death. I did not know what more to expect but i planned not to give up. During lunch all the girl dropped different food container size with different order and instruction for me to get them food. I did not know where to get food from so i asked one of the girls and she described the way to a local food canteen along the road. The food containers were too heavy for me but i managed to carry them after getting their orders. I was stil struggling with the containers when i heard some call my name, i turned and it was 'Aunty oyinkan' (khole's mom). " Nancy what are you doing here? Are not suppose to be in school? Who sent you all this?" aunty oyinkan questioned. I did not know what to say, i just started to cry. Aunty Oyinkan collected the food conteiners from me and led me to her car where I narrated my predicament to aunty oyinkan and she was furious. She wanted to drive down to the supermarket and battle words with my uncle's wife, but i pleaded with her to let peace rein. Aunty oyinkan then held my cheek and said "Nancy i know you are trying to cope,but if you ever think you are too tired and cant take the pain anymore, do give me a call, i promise to be there for you. This was the same promise i made to you when lillian died and am not backing off now". Aunty oyinkan took me to a resturant and ordered food for me. She watched me while i ate. After eating she gave me her card and dropped me close to the super market before leaving. This was how i started working as an errand girl in my mom's super market and i was left with limited time to read for my exam. ********************** It was a week to my jamb examination, but i was yet to cover most of the areas i ought to have covered. Every morning i would go with aunty Nike to the supermarket and run erands on foot. Most of the time i come home lately and tired which makes me unable to study. My jamb examination was fast approaching and i had no idea of how i would transport myself to the examination center. I was scheduled to have my exam by 8:00am which means i had to arrive the center early in the morning. Kelvin was out of town so i had to call Jordan. I called Jordan and asked for his help in transporting me to my examination center and he promised to be in my house on time to pick me up. On the day of my examination, i woke up very early in the morning and went through my book before i dressed up for school. I said my prayer and went to inform my uncle and his wife of my departure. I met lizzy preparing for school when i went to bid her goodbye, she asked if i needed anything and i said no. I called jordan to inform him that i was waiting for him and he said he was on his way. Minutes later Lizzy left in her car. I waited for thirty minutes without seeing any sign of Jordan, i called again and his line was switched off. I was baffled and confused on what to do. He was my only hope and i had no money with me. I thought of who to call again and Nelly came to my mind. She picked the call after the third ring and I informed her of my present situation. I asked if she could help me get to school and she said her exam was not scheduled for that day and she was with a friend not at home. I ended the call with Nelly and i checked my wrist watch, the time was 7:40am. My exam was scheduled for 8:00am and i was yet to get a transport down to school by 7:40AM. I was scared of missing my examination and confused on what to do. I could not call khole or aunty oyinkan. The examination would have ended before they arrive my house. I had no other person to call than Lizzy. Lizzy picked my call at the first ring and immediately i told her i was stranded, she said she would turn the car around. I was checking my time as i continued to dial Jordan's line without luck of reaching him. This was an examination i could not afford to miss. Missing this examination will cost me another year of slaving in my mom's super market. I doubled my step and started to trek toward the examination center. I was almost at the junction of my street when i sighted lizzy. She pulled over beside me and i got into the car. Immediately i got into the car, lizzy zoomed off without us saying a word to eachother. Lizzy was speeding so high that i would have cautioned if i was not late for an examination. I knew she was doing everything because of me but i could not bring myself to thank her at that moment. I was sad and lost in thought. We got to my center and i quickly alighted from the car, i got to the examination hall and the other students were just going into the hall. I joined the line hurriedly and made into the examination hall. We started the examination by 9:15AM after which the computers were been checked. Most of the questions were difficult and unfamiliar because i could not study hard for the examination, i did my best and left the rest for God. I came out of the hall and to my surprise lizzy was outside waiting for me, immediately she saw me, she rushed at me and hugged me before asking how the examination went. I sincerely told her i did my best but could not answer most of the questions. Lizzy told me not to worry and in a bid to console me, she got me lunch at Mr.biggs before taking me home. I did not go to the super market that day, so i had the whole afternoon to myself. During my free time,i called kelvin and told him about the incident that happened to me in the morning and he asked if Nelly and kelvin were close friends. I did not know why he asked that question but i told him they were not really close. Kelvin changed the topic and consoled me, he told me not to worry about anything apart from my education. Episode 11 Continues.. ********************** I was about to sleep that day when Jordan called. I rejected his call severally and he ended up sending a text "Swidy,am so sorry for not coming to pick you up as promised. My car brooke down and i had a flat battery. Am sure you were able to sit for the exam. I know you are angry with me, i promise to make it up to you and always remember that i love you so dearly. (Jordan)" that was the message content. I was stil contemplating on trusting Jordan or not when he called again. I accepted his incoming call and i could hear him breathe a sigh of relief. He told me he was very worried when i did not accept his calls and he went on and on to apologizing for not keeping to his promise. I accepted Jordan's apology and he made new promises, to be there for me and stand by me through thick and thin. I felt love again and was happy to have Jordan by my side in the absence of Kelvin and Khole. The week went on with me continuing my normal routine as an errand girl. It was not a good thing to do but i was beginning to get use to my duty. On sundays we do no open the supermarket, so it was a free day for me. On our way to church the following day, Lizzy told me the jamb result was out and she would check for mine when we come back from just. I went to church feeling anxious. I used all my strength to pray and dance in church,hoping for a good result. Immediately we came back from church, we met uncle mike and his wife in the living room, we greeted them and went to lizzy's room. I told lizzy to check my result for me but she said her period just started and she was out of pad, so she needed to get herself a pack of always immediately. Lizzy went out to get the pad and i decided to make lunch for myself in a bid to keep myself bussy. I was about to go to the kitchen when i saw aunty Nike cooking, she looked at me and said " have you checked your jamb result? Or you have failed thats why you have refuse to tell us?" I told her i was yet to check it and she said "I knew you will lie but am ready for you this afternoon, go and get me your sit number and examination center number, i have the scratch card with me" my heart skipped a bit and i was confused. Though i was anxious to know what my score was, i wanted to find out before anybody in the house inorder to prepare for the worst if i should fail. I prayed to have a high score with the whole of my heart as i went to get my sit and examination center number. I came back to the living room where my uncle and his wife were sitted. I gave aunty nike the requested numbers and she got bussy with her system. My heart was beating fast as she checked for my score. I knew it will be a thing of joy for her if i fail, so i prayed to put her to shame. I did not write well during examination but i was hoping a miracle will bail me out. "Yes! I knew it! I knew you would fail. Come and see with your eyes, your score is not even up to average. Useless, thats what you are! Come here and check your score!" aunty nike's voice brought me back to reality, but i was hoping everything she was saying was a lie as i slowly moved towards her to see things for myself. I got to her and she pointed at the screen where my score was boldly written. Literature-42 Mathematics-45 English-45 Government-44 Total score=176 Immediately i saw my score my heart brooke into a million pieces, this was my last hope. How will i gain admission into the university without an average score? I asked myself as tears rushed out of my eyes. To make matter worse, i would have to continue to slave for my uncle's wife for another year. As if the pain i was feeling because of my failure was not enough, my uncle stood up with full force and gave me a slap. My eyes went blur for a minute. I was not expecting the slap. Before i could come out of the shock of the first slap, he gave me a second one and i lost my balance. I fell on a couch close to me. Uncle mike did not stop at that, he continued to hit me all over as aunty nike sang him praise song for what he was doing. Lizzy was not home and their was nobody to save me. I was loosing my strength and if i should receive the beating without running for my life, i might end up loosing my dear life. 'No, i cant die now! I must make it in life and write my success story someday!!' i thought. I remembered my parents and the thought of making them proud someday as kelvin told me gave the the strength to escape. I pushed uncle mike with the whole of my strength and he landed on his bare ass. I could not go back inside since it would warrant more beating, the only option was for me to run outside. I quickly unlocked the door and ran to the gate. I could hear aunty nike screaming my name and accusing me of killing her husband as i unlock the gate. I got out of the house and i ran as fast as my legs could carry me, far, far, far away from home. I stopped to run when my legs could no longer carry me. I looked behind me and i could no longer see my house, i was far away from home. I looked at the signpost in front of me and i saw "The Apostolic church of Nigeria", A church was the last place i wanted to be, because i believed that the same God i danced and prayed to wholeheartedly in church some minutes ago made me fail my examination but the sun was shining too brightly and i could no longer take the effect on my skin. I slightly pushed the door to the church open and i entered into the church. The church was quiet since i was the only one there. I sat on one of the chairs and the event that took place few minutes ago with uncle mike came to my mind. The cause of the trouble was my failure, i looked at the image of Jesus on the Altar and i asked the image, why he did not perform a miracle and make me have a high score in the examination. I continue to think about my life, The adorable days i had with my family and the days of agony i was having without a family. Tears filled my eyes and i did not hold the tears back, it rushed down freely on my cheek. I stayed in the church for more than an hour, i found peace and comfort there but i could not stay there forever. I knew going back to uncle mike and his wife was not an option, so i decided to call khole and aunty oyinkan. I placed my hand into the pocket of my jean trouser to get my phone,but i could not find anything in my pocket apart from a squeezed #20. I was stranded again without a phone. Going to khole's house would take me more than three hours, if i should trek down, so it was not an option for me. Jordan's house was closer to my present destination and i should be there in the next one hour on foot. I stood up from the chair and said my prayer before leaving the church premises. It was not eassy to journey on foot but i was able to get to Jordan's house weak and tired. I knocked on the huge gate and i heard a voice say "Who be that? I dey come o" from inside the house. I leaned on the gate and not long after, the gate man opened the smaller gate. He greeted me and i could tell he was surprise to see me. I thought it was because of my appearance but i was wrong. The gateman said "welcome aunty Nancy, when you con go change cloth again, shebi nah now you enter?" i did not understand what he was saying, i just asked if Jordan and his parent were home. "Oga Jordan never comot ever since you come nao and i don tell you before say mommy and daddy done travel" From his statement, the only thing i could deduce was that, Jordan's parent were not again but Jordan was home. I was grateful for this because he was my last hope. I was hoping he would take me to khole's house if i could not stay with him. I pushed the door to the main building open and it gave way. I entered the living room and called Jordan but i did not get a response. I stil remembered his room from the party, so i went upstairs to check for him, probably he will be in his room, i thought as i climbed the stairs. I was almost at the door of Jordan room when i heard voices, one of it sounded like the person was moaning. I moved closer to the door and i heard a female voice clearly. "Yea.... I cant believe you are this good baby...where have you been all my life....faster baby.....ohhhh....faster....i love you Jordan...." That was it! My heart started to beat fast. I came here to get a comforting shoulder but now my heart is breaking into a million pieces. I wanted to run out of the house but my spirit stopped me. My inner spirit wanted me to find out if he was really cheating or not. Who could he be cheating with? I asked myself and i suddenly remembered the gateman's statement. He was insisting i was here before. O.M.G could it be Nelly? No..... It cant be. I thought of how betrayed i would feel if i should catch Jordan cheating with Nelly and i almost ran out of the house for my eyes not to see such act of Betrayal. But stil i wanted to find out the truth. I moved to the door and slowly opened it. I was a lady underneath Jordan, both nude.I looked closely and it was Nelly.I did not know when i screamed "Jesus!!!" and jordan jump off her, i could see his huge dick when he faced me, i did not have the time to look at Nelly as i ran out of the house. I ran outside and rushed to the gate, i could hear Jordan calling my name from behind but i did not stop. He has always been a disappointment and today he brooke my love and trust with his art of betrayal with a friend i once call sister. I kept on running even when i got outside their compound and i was too blind to see the car coming with full speed. I was in the middle of the road already and unable to reverse my step. Before i could say 'Jerk!' something bigger than me hit me from behind like a big rock and i felt my body brooke down into pieces. The last thing that came to my mind before going out of this world was "Men are simply Evil!!!" ********************** I was hoping not to open my eyes to see the world again. I wished to die and never wake again but it was as if the God i believed in still had more suffering in stock for me because, instead of taking me to heaven to be with him and my parents, he brought me back to this cruel world filled with fake love. I did not know for how long i was unconscious but i woke up with pains all over my body. I could not move any part of my body order than my eyes (i could open and close my eyes). I saw myself on a hospital bed when i woke up and that was when i remembered all about the accident. How i survived was a miracle, i was not grateful for. I did not realise that someone was with me until i tried to change my sleeping position but it was too difficult for me to move my body. "Easy my dear" she said and rushed to help me up. I looked up at the person and it was aunty oyinkan. I smilled at her and she asked if i was feeling better, i could not talk so i only noded. Aunty oyinkan touched my forehead and said "sorry dear, you will be fine, you got us all worried,i was so scared when Khole called and told me you got involve in an accident. She said you were lucky your friend Jordan was close to the accident scene and he helped you to the hospital. If not for him, i do not know what would have happened to you" aunty oyinkan ended her speech and i could not help the hatred growing in me toward Jordan. He did not only cause my present predicament, he also had to lie to cover his ass. Aunty Oyinkan brought me out of my thought when she asked if i needed anything. Yes i do! And all i need is my mom right now! I screamed in my head but i could not utter a word. I noded as a response to aunty oyinkan's question and she said " Ok............. Khole just left some minutes ago, she has a test to sit for. We have been here for the past three days with Jordan, she will be happy you are back when she comes, i need to make a phone call dear. Give me a minute". I noded and she left. So i was unconscious for three days i thought after aunty oyinkan' s departure. The doctor came to examine me. He said i would have to rest for a week for full recovery since i did not sustain any serious injury. The doctor left and aunty Oyinkan arrived later, she told me that she called my uncle to inform him of my where about and he said he traveled and will be back the following day. I did not respond to her statement because i do not want to believe i have a family,i only noded. Khole came with Jordan later in the evening and she was all over me. I was happy to see her but Jordan's presence got me angry,he only sat for a while before he left. I gussed his conscience was judging him already because he distanced himself throughout his stay. The following day, i was able to talk and move my body slowly. Khole and aunty oyinkan were with me and they made me feel as if i had a family ones again. Khole was slicing an apple for me when i heard someone shout "Where is my Nancy" from the door. We all looked toward the door direction and aunty Nike rushed in with uncle mike and Lizzy. Aunty Nike knelt and greeted aunty oyinkan before rushing to my bed. She was behaving all caring and nice, she touched my forehead to check my temperature and sat down on the bed with me. She carried my legs, placed it on her lap and she said "Nancy my dear, how are you? My God, i was so worried about you, i almost died of heart attack when i heard you had an accident, thank God nothing happened to you, i need to go for a thanks giving service for your sake dear. Am happy you are ok" aunty nike ended her speech and i continue to stare at her. I knew she was mean and evil but been a drama queen was out of it. I only noded to aunty nike's question and uncle mike came close to me as well. He asked if i was getting better and i noded. Only lizzy was quiet and she only smilled at me when i looked at her,i could see the tears in her eyes when she looked at me without pretence like her parent. My uncle brought provision and he promised to pay off the bill. They left later in the evening and aunty nike promised to come back the next day after she said home was not the same without me and she missed me alot. I knew aunty nike missed her errand girl not that she missed me out of love but her level of pretence made me doff my hat for her. Aunty nike's pretence made aunty oyinkan and khole believe i was safe with them again and against their previous decision,they agreed to me going back to stay with my uncle. I was discharged on friday afternoon and my uncle was waiting to take me back to the house, my land of pain and agony. Aunty Oyinkan gave me twenty thousand naira before leaving and khole packed my provision to uncle mike's car. I left the hospital sad, with the thought of the struggle before me. How could aunty oyinkan and khole be so blind to the fact that my uncle and his wife were pretending? . To be continued after comments..

Episode 12 Continues.. ********************** The journey home with uncle mike was quiet. He would look at me briefly and face the road again. I did not know his reason for that but the thought of how i pushed him before escaping from the house made me scared. Probably he was stil nursing his ass and the pain i caused him was the reason for his wicked glance. A part of me was saying him and his wife had turn a new leaf but i laughed the thought off. We got to my compound and i alighted immediately uncle mike parked the car. I brought out my provision and went to my room. Uncle mike turned the car around and left immediately he dropped me off, aunty Nike was absent from home as well. I was happy to be free from all the monitoring eyes. I went to Lizzy's room and she jumped at me immediately she saw me. She told me how worried she was and asked how i ended up at the hospital. I took a deep breathe and narrated all the event that took place before my accident to lizzy. She came closer to me and held me tightly. I was stil in lizzy's arms when i remembered Kelvin, i knew he would be worried about me. 'Before the accident,he calls me everyday and its been more than a week now, definately he will be worried' i thought in lizzy arm. I released myself from lizzy's grip and told her i needed to get my phone before leaving her room. I could remember keeping my phone in the bag i took to church that sunday, so i went for the bag immediately. I searched the whole bag and could not find my phone. I searched the whole room and still the phone was yet to be found. I started to sweat, i was not scared of loosing the phone, but i was scared of loosing kelvin's contact if i could not get my phone. That was the only place i saved his contact on and i did not even know where he lives. Even if i do,he was out of town. I was so confused after searching my entire room over and over again without finding the phone. I went to ask lizzy if she took the phone but she said no and followed me to my room to search again. She also searched everywhere without any luck. We were stil searching when lizzy did as if she just remembered something and she said "Nancy, wait, i think my mom took the phone. I caught her searching your room the day you left. You should probably ask her when she gets back." I did not know what to say when Lizzy ended her speech. 'If aunty nike has the phone, she definately will not give it back for anything. She can only give it back if she has genuinely turn a new leaf but the chance of that happening is very slim. I will be loosing kelvin if i do not get the phone back' i thought. The thought of loosing kelvin almost gave me a heart attack. How will i survive without kelvin? He was always there to encourage and advice me, his words of encouragement gave me the hope of having a future. Noo i cant let go just like that,i will do anything to get the phone back. Just for kelvin's sake, i can slave for another year. I said to myself. Lizzy tap on my shoulder brought me out of my thought, she asked if i was worried because of the phone and promised to get me a new phone. I told her it was not about the phone but kelvin's contact. Lizzy did not really understand the importance of the contact but she concluded that i should wait for aunty nike. Aunty nike arrived late in the evening and i rushed downstairs. I got the sigh that she was stil her wicked self from the way she looked at me but i was stil hoping she would release the phone. I greeted aunty nike and made to help her with her hand bag, she hesitated before giving the bag to me but she eventually did. I took the bag to her room while she followed closely from behind. After dropping the bag on the bed, i turned to her and said "Aunty,please i have been unable to find my phone did you by any chance find it for me?" she looked at me and said No coldly. I knew she was lieing but i was determined to get the phone from her,i went on my kneels and begged her. I was stil on my kneels begging when she shouted "Are you stupid? Am i your phone keeper? Dont let me loose my temper on you, your presence is irritating enough. I wonder what you have been doing with that phone and i took it, so what? You can go to hell for all i care because, the phone has been neatly destroyed along with the sim card. Now get out of my room, you idiot!" That was it! My phone was gone along side with kelvin's contact. I moved out of her room with tears and i thought about the number of people i lost already. Dad died, mom died, Jordan chose to betray me along side with nelly and now i cant reach kelvin,the only person that as been my comforter. "Kelvin wherever you are, please come back to me, you are the only friend i have left. You promised to stay forever, please get through to me soon in anyway you can" i said.I was talking to the walls of my room as if kelvin was present, I was so lost on what to do or who to talk to. At that moment all i wanted was KELVIN (MY TRUE FRIEND) ********************** After loosing my phone to aunty nike, i was unable to contact kelvin and not having someone to talk to made me withdraw myself back into my shell. On a Saturday afternoon, of the third week of been discharged. Lizzy took permission from her mom and asked me to see her off to somewhere. We got to fonemart and suprisingly she got a new phone for me after which we retrieved my damaged sim card. Lizzy told me not to worry and she promised to be there for me,she also assured me that kelvin would call soon. I believed in lizzy's word and i became lively again, hoping kelvin would call soon just like lizzy said. I thanked lizzy repeatedly and she hugged me tightly before we went back home. The remaining weekend went uneventful but a life changing event occurred on the first day of the new week, it was an unforgettable incident. Aunty Nike woke me up early in the morning on that very monday, she said are goods would be arriving on that day and she needed to be there on time. Without having breakfast, we left the house for the supermarket. Immediately we got to the supermarket, aunty nike ordered me to sweep the entire store after which i went to get her food on foot at a resturant far away from the supermarket. On my arrival from getting the food, the goods aunty nike was expecting arrived and she asked me to join in off loading the goods immediately, with an empty stomach, i obeyed her. After off loading the goods, I went to inform aunty nike that i was hungry but she shouted at me and called me useless before saying i should arrange all of the goods alone in the store. I arranged the goods with my last strength, hoping i would eat after arranging the goods but aunty nike said i should dust the whole good and place a price tag on each of them. I could not take it any longer, even though i promised to abide by her rules, i had to disobey her else i would die. I left the shop against aunty nike's order and went to eat in a nearby canteen. I arrived twenty minutes later and met a furious aunty nike. I knelt to greet her but she reaponded with a double slap on the both of my cheek. My eyes turned red and i staggered. I was yet to gain my balance when aunty nike shouted at me, saying " You this idiot, i told you to arrange my goods, do you know how much they worth? They worth more than your yet to come generation and you have the guts to abandon my goods in a bid to satisfy for hungry stomach. I will not deal with you here, you will meet your death at home. Now get up and do what i asked you to do!" aunty nike ended her ranting and i was so scared of what awaits me at home, that day. I rushed to the store room and with tears, i arranged the goods. I left shop with aunty nike by 6:30pm with mixed feelings, i was hoping aunty nike would forget her threat if i should do the house work on time. Immediately i got down from the car, i went to the kitchen and washed the dirty dishes, though i was hungry, i did not eat before doing all the work. As if aunty nike was watching me, she called me immediately i got to my room after working for more than an hour. I got to aunty nike's room and she was laying on her bed. She asked me to go on my kneels and i did, then she said " you think i have forgotten right? You disobey me in public and i am going to deal with you indoor. I have two punishment for you. It is either you allow me to cut any part of you body and i will apply pepper on it or i will iron any part of your body smoothly with this hot iron" aunty nike ended her speech but it was hard for me to believe she was serious, how could she be so mean? I asked myself. "Young lady i do not have the whole day! Make a pick or i will administer anyone on you!" aunty Nike's voice brought me back to reality. Accepting other brutal treatment was something i could handle but when it comes to messing with my body, that is something i can never take. I started to cry, i was alone with aunty nike without help. I wished mom was here or kelvin or even lizzy or aunty oyinkan, but nobody was there, i was left with a difficult decision to take. I had to think about the least painful of the two purnishment but i found no answer. Aunty nike was about to abuse my body and i had no other choice than to accept, or do i? I asked myself and finally i decided to accept one of it. I was about accepting the iron deal when the spirit of a fighter in me arouse. No! I cannot take this anymore i screamed! Aunty nike stood up with shook written all over her face. She asked me to repeat what i said and i did. She made to slap me and i showed her the DEVIL in me. ################## Aunty nike made to slap me but i held her hand, i stood up to my full length and i was taller than her. I looked down on her and fixed my gaze on her before releasing my grip on her hand. Aunty nike raised her hand to slap me again and this time around, i held her hand half way and landed a hot slap on her left cheek. Aunty nike staggered and fell on the table. I fold my hands and waited for her next action. Immediately she regained her balance, she rushed at me, i pushed her to the bed and sat on her. I started to punch her all over her body after sitting on her. While giving her the beating of her life, i started to scream on top of my voice " Nike how can you be so wicked? Tell me! You want to iron my body? In my father's house! All this is suppose to be mine! The house! The car you are ridding! The supermarket! The hotel your husband is spending from! All the jewelry mama left behind! All the wealth and properties are all mine! My parent worked for it, for me to have it all but you took everything away. All the good things i ever had, you took them all! My mom! My hapiness! Even kelvin! Its all your fault and now! Now you want to abuse my body! How can you be so mean? So wicked? I want you to die and rot in hell! Die nike!" i said as i continued to punch her. I could hear her scream for help but the merciful me was gone. This was the seed she planted in me, it germinated and she had to reap the fruit. I stood up from her stomach and rushed to her wardrobe. I saw all my mom's clothes and expensive jewelry she claimed she burn. I packed my mom's personal belonging and rushed to my room. I took my traveling bag and filled it with my clothes and all the important things i have. The bag was full so i had to pack my mom's belongings into the bag Josh got for me. I looked around my room and i was satisfied with all i have packed. I dragged the bags to the living and made to leave. 'This devil in human clothing is making me to leave my father house, i must deal with her before i finally leave' i said to myself. I dropped the bags and rushed upstairs. I met aunty nike sitting on the bare floor, with her present condition the formal me would have pitied her but pity died in me a long time ago. I pulled her with her hair and landed two hot slap on her cheek before i rushed to the kitchen to get a rope. She started to plead immediately i returned with the rope but my ears were deaf to her plea. I dragged her to the bed and started to tie her while she shouted for help. I was stil tieing her when i heard someone shout "Nancy" behind me. I turned and i saw lizzy. I became ashamed of myself,even though aunty nike was wicked toward me, lizzy was there for me and beating her mom and tieing her down was no way to reciprocate her kindness. The rope fell from my hand and i ran out of the room in tears. I could not leave without apologizing to lizzy, so i went back to her and said "I am sorry lizzy. Goodbye" lizzy was in tears and she could not give a response. I ran out of the room and got my bags. I dragged the bags outside the house and i took a last look at our mansion. The house i once called a home. With tears i left my father's house. To be continued..

Episode 13 Continues.. I did not know where to go but i was certain i had to leave my street on time. I knew my uncle will arrive in no time and a search team might be sent after me, (i have to act fast) i thought as a struggled with the heavy boxes. The boxes made me exhusted on time since i have used my last strength to deal with nike, an action i now regret (i was possessed for few minutes i gusse). I stopped to struggle with the boxes and i sat on one of it, i brought my phone out and i was stil confussed on what to do. Time checked 8:30pm, everywhere was dark already. I no longer have Jordan as a helper, neither Nelly, nor kelvin. The only people i have as family was aunty oyinkan and khole. Calling them to inform them of my present situation will make them worried. I decided to go to them instead of calling aunty oyinkan or khole. The street was empty already, but somehow, i was not scared of the dark. I placed one of my boxes on my head and i held the other one with my hand. I got to the main road and i had to wait to get a cab. Ilorin was a peaceful place, but i was stil praying not to be kidnapped. 5min later, i saw a cab coming my way, i signalled for it to stop and it stopped in front of me. The driver was an elderly man who seemed ready to retire for the day. I told him where i was heading and he charged me three thousand naira. Without hesitating, i got into the cab with my load and i was of mixed feelings when i finally left my street. Was sad i was leaving my home, my inheritance and happy i was leaving my days of struggle behind me. The cab driver dropped me in front of aunty oyinkan's gate at exactly 10:30pm and he helped me to offload my luggages. I paid him extra because of his kindness. It took the gateman five minutes to question me before he opened the gate. He apologised when i got in saying he had to be sure of who the person is before opening the gate because of the frequent robery in the area. I left my luggage outside for him to bring in. I was in front of the main building already before calling aunty oyinkan, her line was switched off and so was khole's, i had to resolve into knocking on the closed door. Ten minutes later a voice from inside asked who it was and i replied, immediately the door was opened. The house help welcomed me into the living room and she went upstairs to call aunty oyinkan. I stood up and rushed at my aunty, immediately i saw her. I could tell she was sleeping already. She took me into her arms and asked what happened?. I could not reply her, i only held her tight and started to cry. Aunty oyinkan stopped to question me and she led me to her room upstairs. She sat me down on the bed and said "Nancy, i do not know what is wrong with you but you need to open up to me my dear, what happened?" she asked again but i could not bring myself to tell her about what i did to aunty nike and how i ran out of my father house at that moment. I burst into fresh tears and she took me into her arms again and said "Its ok dear, you are safe here." aunty oyinkan's words relieved me a bit and i felt loved again. Few minutes later aunty oyinkan left me in her room and return with a night wear i gusse it was khole's. She asked if i wanted to eat and i replied no, she then gave me the night wear to change into. After changing, i laid in bed with aunty oyinkan while she pat me on the back till i slept off. I woke up fresh the following morning and met aunty oyinkan beside me. She was reading from her bible so i also went on my kneels and prayed. After praying i greeted aunty oyinkan,she respond and hugged me, she then said breakfast was waiting for us. We had a breakfast of yam and egg sauce and i ate to satisfaction with peace of mind, i realised there is nothing more important than peace of mind. After the meal, aunty oyinkan called me to her room, she sat me down and held my hands then she asked me what happened again. I told aunty oyinkan all that happened without skipping any part and after narrating the whole event to her she took me into her arms and said nothing. It was after aunty oyinkan released me from the hug that i realised she was furious. She stood up from the bed and said "Dress up, we are going to meet mike, i want to see that devil in human clothing" i was scared aunty nike might return me to uncle mike so i rushed to hug her and pleaded with her not to take me back to hell. Aunty oyinkan held me to herself and said "Dont worry baby, am taking custody of you from now on. I just want to make them realise they cannot treat you like a slave and go scot free" i felt relived when aunty oyinkan ended her speech. My hope was restored and i found myself looking forward to a better future filled with love again. Aunty oyinkan called khole and informed her that i was with her. I could hear her scream out of suprise over the phone, aunty gave the phone to me and khole kept asking me if everything was ok over the phone. I told khole i was alright and she promised to come over to confirm things for herself. After the phone call with khole, i returned aunty oyinkan's phone and said "Aunty i am really greatful for what you have done for me. You promised to be there for me and you fulfilled your promise. I have felt love and i have felt betrayal and now i know the worth of love. May you reap your good work aunty". Aunty oyinkan pulled me to herself. I did not know where the emotions came from but i found myself crying in aunty oyinkan's arm just the way i do with my late mom. Aunty oyinkan released me from her grip and wiped my tears, she sat me on her bed. "Your father was my only brother and your mom was a sister and the only sister i ever had nancy. Whatever i do for you now, i seek no appreciation from you. My dear i want you to see me as your mom and dad if you can, i promise to take care of you more than the way your parent did. Just make me proud and aim high" aunty oyinkan said and she embraced me again. She released me from the embrace and told me to get dressed. I asked her where we were going to and she said "Mike and his wife are yet to see the last of me. Lets me set things right and make sure they release you to me themselves" i asked aunty what will happen if they do not, she smilled and said " Baby, do not worry about that, you should worry about getting use to calling me mom instead. Your things are in the next room to khole's. You now have a room here, welcome home once again" I gave aunty oyinkan a quick peck and rushed to my room. The room was a shocker when i opened the door, it was beautiful decorated in colour red. I do not know when aunty oyinkan pulled this off but she took my breathe away. After my mom, she is the next woman that takes my breathe away. I hurriedly took my bath and got ready to go to my father house for the last time.. We got to our compound and i could tell that my uncle was home, probably nursing his wife's wound. At first i was scared of what my uncle reaction might be if he should see me. I took a step backward and aunty oyinkan held my hand and smilled at me. My safety was reassured again with her simple smille and i followed aunty oyinkan into the house. Aunty nike was laying down on a sofa in the living room when we entered, immediately we got in, she jumped up and started to shout her husband's name. I could see my finger print all over her face and for ones i felt pity for her. "Mike come out o! She is here again, she want to finish me now, somebody help me!" aunty nike shouted while olding her head. My new mom was trying to calm her down but she refused to be calm. Minutes later uncle mike and lizzy rushed out of the house. Immediately uncle mike saw me he rushed toward me with his hand raised at me. I closed my eyes expecting a slap but i did not get any. I opened my eyes and show aunty oyinkan holding uncle mike's raised hand. I could tell uncle mike was furious, aunty oyinkan released his hand and he said " sister oyinkan,you wont believe what this good for nothing girl did to my wife. Can you believe she has the guts to beat my wife up?" Aunty oyinkan fold her arms and said "And so what? What did your wife do to her before getting what she got? Mike you and i know what is at stake if you loose this girl and you still have the guts to treat her like a slave. After all her parents did for you when your parent died. They treated you like there son when you were left with nothing. They made you successful after your numerous failure mike. I am disappointed in you and your wife. You should know you wont go scot free because you know what she worth and you still treated her like a slave." aunty oyinkan ended her speech in a angry tone. I did not know why aunty oyinkan layed more emphasy on my worth, does that mean there is probably a will or the chance of me been the legal owner of my parent's wealth after all? I asked myself. "I dont care about the worth, if it pleases you take her with you and never come back. I will definately work for my money before that time. You cant threaten me with that poo" uncle mike thundered. Aunty oyinkan held my hand and said "Mike dont say i did not tell you. Expect your downfall" and she dragged me out. while aunty oyinkan was dragging me out i noticed lizzy was running after us, i released myself from aunty oyinkan's grip and ran at lizzy. We hugged for some minutes before she released me and said "I will miss you Nancy". Before i could respond aunty oyinkan dragged me out of the compound and we left in her car. I wished she could come with me, she was the only one that cared for me. ********************** The ride home was a silent one.Aunty oyinkan was unusually quiet while i was full of thought as well.I was of mixed feelings toward aunty oyinkan.I was angry with her for dragging me away without allowing me to bid lizzy goodbye but i was happy she protected me from my uncle and took me away from hell.Throughout the ride home, aunty oyinkan's repetition of my worth back at my uncle's place got me troubled. No doubt, she was keeping something from me. Aunty oyinkan was nice to me and i do not have a reason to doubt her, but i was sure she was hidding something important know to herself and my uncle. We got to aunty oyinkan's residence and i took her bag from her. Khole rushed at me immediately we entered the living room. I was so happy to see her and she continued to turn me around to see if something was wrong with me. When she got no sigh of me been injured whatsoever, she breathe a sigh of relief. Khole hugged her mom and aunty oyinkan asked us to come with her to her room. We got to her room and sat on her bed while she undressed. Aunty oyinkan sat on a couch, cleared her throat and said "Khole from now on Nancy will stay with us, i know the two of you are close before but i want you to be closer now. Mike and his wife has made her suffer, i want her to know peace and love here. Do you understand?" Khole noded and said "Ok mom" before taking my hands into hers. Aunty oyinkan continued and said "Nancy i called my husband and informed him of the present situation. He has agreed with you staying here and he has promised to sponsor your education. You do not have to worry about a thing my dear. Just leave mike and his wife to God" i noded and was about to say 'thank you' when aunty oyinkan said " You dont have to thank me, i am doing all this for my child. Talking about education, i want you to gain admission and start schooling this session. Have you checked your jamb result? The question about my jamb result came as a shock and i did not know how to tell this woman who has promised to stand by me if i make her proud that i failed woefully. I bit my lower lips and aunty oyinkan asked about my jamb result again. I could not lie to my aunty and khole, so i summon the courage to tell them i failed and i said "Aunty...ehm... Sorry........... Mommy....ehm.... Mom i failed jamb, that was my reason for me leaving home which led to my accident." Aunty oyinkan came closer to me and sat on the bed. I was made to sit in the middle of herself and khole. Aunty oyinkan placed her hand on my laps and said "it is not a problem if you failed, i just need to know your score for me to know the necessary button to press". I was relived by aunty oyinkan's words,so i told her i scored '176'. Aunty oyinkan then smilled at me and said "Thats not a realy bad score, just pray you pass all your subjects excellently in WAEC. If you do it wont be difficult to get you admitted into the university to study the course of your choice but if you do not, you might not be able to get the course of your choice. Any which way, you will resume school this session, i promise" aunty oyinkan ended her speech and i felt so happy. I hugged her and kept on thanking her. Khole also joined in the hug and it became a group hug. Aunty oyinkan released herself from the hug and teased myself and khole of acting like a child. Mi mom (aunty oyinkan) told us she would love to take a nap and i left her room with khole. When we got to khole's room, she hugged me again and asked why i did not tell her what i was going through. I told her i did not want to disturb her in school and she hit me playfully on my back. We sat on khole's bed and i narrated everything that has happened to her. I was surprised i did not cry while narrating my ordeal with uncle mike and his wife to khole. I only felt happy having someone to share my story with. I also told khole how much have missed kelvin and he was yet to call. Khole promised to be there for me and we hugged eachother again. Khole ended the hug and said "dont worry buddy, am here now. Best pal forever" khole stretched out her hand and i took them. That was our way of renewing our promise. Myself and khole had lunch,after which she told me to come with her over to Josh's place. Oh i was happy i will be seeing Josh again! Life is good only if there is love. I found love with family. I rushed to the bathroom to get ready for the outing with josh. Before taking my bath i brought out my chain lock and checked the family picture in it. I found a new family now i thought. I looked at the picture again and i said "Mom............. Dad...........i know you are irreplaceable and theres no family without you two, but i know you too are happy i found happiness with my new family, i miss you guys so much and i wish to make you and my new family proud." i wiped my tears and took my bath. Last Episode 14 Continues... ********************** I wore a red shirt,a blue flowing skirt and a black sneakers with a red hand bag. My hair was rough at that moment so i had to use a face cap. I applied little makeup and went to khole's room. Khole was simply dressed in a jean trouser and a loose top. We went to inform Mi mom(aunty oyinkan) of our departure and she only told us to come back before 6pm. We happily left for josh's house in khole's car. Khole drove into an estate and we alighted from the car. She pointed at an apartment and told me that was josh's apartment as we walked toward it. Khole pressed the door bell and waited for a response, a min later the door was flung open. Josh was looking dapper in a casual wear of a body hug shirt and a three quarter pant. He was full of smille when he saw us and he ushered us into the house. Josh hugged khole and extended a handshake to me, i took his hand and settled in a couch. Josh made me remember the two important guys i once had in my life. He smilled like kelvin and he had a well built body like Jordan's. I wished kelvin will give me a call but jordan was already on my black list. "What will you love to have ladies? I made rice and stew but the stew is bitter" Josh question brought me out of my thought and i faked a smille at his joke. We all went to the dinning room where we had a meal of rice and chicken. I complemented josh on his ability to make delicious meal and he replied with a smille. Again he smilled like kelvin. After the meal, we decided to go shopping at shoprite since time was still on our side. Josh excused himself and he came back dressed in a black jean and a red shirt. The colour matched my dress and we some how looked like a couple. Khole teased us about planning to wear red in order to make her look like the third party and we all laughed. We arrived at the shopping mall, since we were shopping for nothing in particular, we tour the mall in a bid to while away time. Khole and josh walked hand to hand while i walked alone feeding my eyes. I saw a very attractive pink gown at a distance, so i left the couple to check the gown out. I was still checking the gown out when i noticed a couple behind me. They were arguing about the colour that looks good on the lady. I would not have bothered to turn and look at them but their voices sounded familiar. Yes i think i have heard their voices before from somewhere but i could not place it, i had to clear my doubt so i turned and i saw another shock of my life. Standing in front of me was Jordan and Nelly, shopping hand in hand. Nelly saw me first and i could tell she froze for a min, jordan followed her gaze and he saw me as well. He stared at me for a minute and walked out. I was hurt so deeply, the fact that they betrayed me by having sex behind my back did not hurt as deep as their attitude after their act of betrayal. None of them ever apologised or felt sorry. My mood was ruined for the day so i went in search of khole and josh. Immediately i saw them, i told them i would love to take my leave. I could tell khole was surprised but she supported my wish and we all left. We went back to Josh's house first to pick up khole's ride before going home. Khole asked what was wrong with me during the drive home and i told her what i saw. She felt sorry for me and advice me to keep nelly and jordan out of my mind. In a bid to cheer me up khole played party songs as we drived home. Mi mom was absent when we got home,so i went to my room and had a shower before laying on my bed to have a nap. I was trying all i could not to think about Jordan and nelly but they kept on coming to my mind. Khole's advice on forgetting them seemed like an impossible mission. Since i could not get a nap, i went to khole's room to free my mind. ################## FAST FORWARD ********************** I was at home alone with the maids on the third week of staying with Mi mom when she called me at exactly 12pm. Mi mom told me that waec result was out and i should send my center and seat number to her. 'Not again' i thought as i sluggishly sent the required number. I prayed and hoped to have a brilliant result this time around. I wrote the examination when mom was still with me and throughout the days of the examination, i read and studied hard so i had the assurance of coming out in flying colour. I never wanted to disappoint mi mom and i wanted to be able to study "Journalism" which had been my dream course ever since i was little. I was expecting mi mom to call me immediately she check the result but she did not. That made me more anxious. At exactly 6:30pm, Mi mom came back with a straight face, i rushed out to greet her but she did not respond to my greetings which was unusual of her. "Not again! I think i failed woefully and now mi mom is mad at me. Why do failure keep coming my way?" i thought to myself as i followed Mi mom to her room with a sad face. I followed mi mom closely from behind as she walked to her room. I closed the door behind myself and sat on a couch as mi mom undressed. I was waiting to be scolded and i was sad i might not be able to study the course of my choice or i might end up waiting an extra year before gaining admission. "Have it" aunty oyinkan said as she passed a printed paper to me. I collected the paper from her and i was scared of seeing my failure ones again. I could remember how i felt when i failed jamb and failing Waec as well will make me feel worst. "Open it on time" mi mom's voice brought me out of my thought. I sluggishly opened the paper and read the content. Mathematics A1 English B2 Literature A1 Government C4 Biology C5 Economics B3 C.R.S B3 Yoruba C6 "WTF!! I passed! I passed!" i shouted after reading out the content of my result. Mi Mom was full of smille as i hurriedly hugged her. I breathe a sigh of relief. "I thought i failed again mom" i said as i released myself from mi mom's grip. Mi mom smilled and said " My child you are never a failure and you will never be a failure. You should believe in yourself dear just the way i believe in you. I knew you would pass, you failed jamb because you lacked preparation. Determination is success and success is determinantion. Be determined to never give up no matter how difficult success prove to be" Mi mom ended her speech and i went into her arms again, my happiness knew no bound, not only because of my success but because i had someone to share my success with. I remembered i was yet to share my success with khole, so i hurriedly released myself from the hug and i told mi mom i would love to inform khole of my success. I made to leave and mi mom pulled me back and said "dont you love the suspense i kept you? Lets do the the same for khole and dad. They are both coming home today. We are having a family dinner to celebrate your success. Promise me you wont spoil our package" mi mom made me promise and i left her room hoping i will be able to fulfil my promise. I got into my room and i jumped on my bed. I could not hide the excitement as i started jumping around my room. From my bed, i jumped ontop the couch, then to the table. I could not just hide my excitement. I made a promise to mi mom so i could not call khole, she was like the only person i had, to talk to. If only i still have kelvin's contact, he would have been happy at the news. If only guys like Jordan and nelly are still around, it would have been a more happy situation but they are now in my past where betrayals should be. I had my bath and went to the kitchen to assist mi mom since she was making the special dinner herself. Khole came back with dad at exactly 8:00pm. She picked dad up from the airport on her way from school. I rushed out from the kitchen and knelt to greet mi dad. He helped me up and hugged me,he asked if i was ok and i noded as a reply. I rushed to hug khole and the first thing she asked from me was about my waec result. I was about telling her my real result out of excitement before looking at mi mom. She cleared her throat and frown at me. I quickly changed my happy face to a sad one. On our way to the main building, khole continued to ask about my waec result. I told her i failed and she requested to see the result herself. I did not know what to do so dodged the question and left her. We entered the living room and mi mom welcomed everybody home again, after which mi dad hugged us all again. He looked at me again and said "Nancy i heard you did not really do well in jamb, thats ok my dear. Your aunty also told me that your Waec result is out, did you perform excellently?" i did not know what to say, probably to go on with mi mom plan or tell mi dad the truth. "She did not do well darling, let her show you the result" mi mom said in a bid to bail me out of the trouble. I rushed to my room and got my result, dad was asking khole questions about school when i go back but he stopped immediately i handed the result to him. "Wow! This is brilliant! Sweetheart you were making a joke of me right? I will so deal with you" Dad said. Mi mom smilled and told him it was her pleasure to fool him. We all laughed, then dad looked at me and said "Congratulation my child. I will take you to a senior lecturer in the state university next week. Consider yourself a student of kwasu right away" i rushed to embraced him due to my excitement, he took me into his arm and pat me on the back. "Now am jealous, why is nancy getting all the hug after planning with mom to deceive us?" khole said playfully and mi dad released me from the embrace. Mi dad hugged khole and mi mom joined in the hug. I did not want to feel left out so i joined in the hug as well. We had a group hug full of laughter as a one big happy family! . THE END .
