INSECT EPISODE 3 (WRITER TALKING):"a full grown red long horned female grasshopper of 3 to 13cm, was jumping happily from grass to soil and soil to grass,with its antennae extend beyond the hind end of the body folded back,the female grasshopper was looking for the right place to lay her eggs.she suddenly spotted a crevices in the bark of a tree,but unknown and unfortunate for her,she was handing for her doom ". (WRITER TALKING):" Their were hundreds of foraging ants looking for food.she jumped and landed into their middle,an ant immediately grabbed her hind right leg in self defence,and 3 ants followed the other ant and grabbed her left leg,the ants used their mandibles to grab onto the grasshopper's hind legs so tight that it weaken her hind legs". GRASSHOPPER:"no I can't die like this",it said to itself. (WRITER TALKING):" Before it could make any other move ,They attacked her forelegs, where her hearing aid were located, casing her to loose her ability to hear". (WRITER TALKING):"They didn't let go of the grasshopper,the grasshopper was totally out numbered and out matched, her only way of escaping was now for her to use her wings to fly away, and she really needed to lay her eggs,which she was carrying".... (WRITER TALKING):"before she could fly upward with her wings,another ant stung her with its sting which was at the last edge of it's abdomen,the grasshopper was stung on its abdomen which caused her to inject back her wings,she became totally weak to do anything again,its hinds leg drop down to the ground level of the ants,they all pulled her to the nest.on getting there more foraging ants came from within the nest to pull the grasshopper inside the nest,while they were pulling the grasshopper into the nest,they encountered more foraging ant who were going out to gather more food"......................Not too far from the ant nest another creature leaves and looks for opportunity to feed......... (WRITER TALKING):"A little funnel was dug above the soil surface,not too far from the nesting ground of the ants,a foraging ant was wondering about looking for food,then it located a hole with its antennae,its antennae flickered up and down,it moved closer to it to know what it could find inside the funnel, then it felt a heavy bite at its back killing it instantly". (WRITER TALKING):" A parasite which had four long and slender legs.....but are not adapted for rapid movement......, mouthparts with the adaptation for piercing and sucking plants, sharp styles within a proboscis (sheath),Two projecting cornicles.they emit a waxy secretion at the posterior end of the their bodies. (WRITER TALKING):"the plant which the aphids leaved in was filled with wrinkles and it was seriously damage due to their present.....which makes it easy for them to be detected by predators like Birds, spiders, parasitic wasps, hover-fly larvae, and lady beetles.....there were many aphids in that location because aphids rarely wander far from their birthplace, except during the spring and autumn migratory flights of the females"......the females in autumn lay fertilized eggs that survive the winter in crevices and hatch in the spring..... (WRITER TALKING):"it produces wingless females that reproduce parthenogenetically....without fertilization from males..... The time of development is so short that the eggs sometimes hatch before they are laid. (WRITER TALKING):"a spider was moving around looking for food to eat,it saw the potato plant, and saw the aphids all over it,the spider was hungered after seeing the aphids,so the spider planned its movement to get them,as it got closer to the plant,it saw some ants ,but the spider was too hungry to about getting the aphids that it didn't care whether it will get killed by the ant,as the spider got close to the potato plant,an ant approached it,but the spider dodge the ant as it climbed the potato plant,as the spider was climbing the plant, an ant which was coming down the plant meet face to face with it,the spider quickly moved to the other side of the plant,but another ant was there,the spider quickly moved to the other side going upwards,before it could get to the aphids the ant which it dodged stung it in its abdomen,paralyzing it,it froze then it fell to the ground,its legs clustered together,another ant stung it again before it was carried to the ant's nest". (WRITER TALKING):"A fully grown female Short horned grasshopper(locust) of about 10 cm (about 4 in) long, also known as true grasshoppers, was hopping looking for a hole in the ground to lay her eggs......females (locust) lay their eggs in holes in the ground........... (WRITER TALKING):"she hopped unto a leaf to take rest,as she rested a spider walked slowly up to her from her back,she didn't know that the spider was there,it walked slowly not to send any vibration,but it was not careful enough,its second left leg mistakenly made a wrong move. it made a vibration and the grasshopper (locust) escaped from death that moment..... but it was not over yet.....,it hopped off to another leaf as fast as it could. (WRITER TALKING):" The rain started dropping little by little....remember we are in the world of an insect........a little rain dropped on the head of the grasshopper (locust).the rain wet the antennae of the grasshopper (locust) causing it to loose track of everything around it.it didn't know what else to do again,and it couldn't stay one place, if not it might probably be drowned by the heavy rain that has already started".......... (WRITER TALKING):" She jumped and landed herself into a little hole at the root of a tree,the hole was totally dark.the rain increased making it impossible for any insect to move under it and also for the Sunlight to come through the clouds and for any thing that has eyes to see properly.she stayed there and decided to lay her eggs there,after some minutes the eggs were out and she cleaned herself and her antennae using her tiny mouth. the rain was still falling heavily,little did the grasshopper (locust) know that the place she was,wasn't so cool". (WRITER TALKING):"a pray mantis was there,the pray mantis was in the same situation as the grasshopper (locust) ....they were both brenched by the rain and they were resting.....,the pray mantis was green colored,and it was sleeping.the grasshopper made a sound which awaken the sleeping pray mantis,immediately the pray mantis woke up.when it woke up, its eyes behold the most juicy meal it has seen all day,it turned its head from the left then to the right in a swinging and low motion.the grasshopper (locust) was tired and decided to sleep....the worst mistake of its life.......the green pray mantis walked slowly and not to make the grasshopper (locust) notice or see it,it got closer and closer to the grasshopper(locust), but the grasshopper(locust) didn't know that it was coming for it,the pray mantis was now like an inch away from it". (WRITER TALKING):"the pray mantis aimed the grasshopper(locust) as it moved its long fore hands to catch the grasshopper(locust)". Pray mantis:" Hello", it said with an evil smile all over its face. (WRITER TALKING):"on hearing that the grasshopper(locust) wake up.it was about to jump towards another side but it wasn't fast enough,the pray mantis catch it with its sharp hands. Grasshopper(locust):"let me go let me go",it said while struggling to escape from the grip of the pray mantis. the pray mantis say nothing,instead it closed its grip on the grasshopper's(locust) body more,making the little pointy things on its hand penetrate the grasshopper's(locust) body.the pain the grasshopper felt was the same as a man that was killed by pushing a needle directly into his heart.the grasshopper(locust) couldn't escape or do any thing,it just gave up the ghost.after the grasshopper died,the pray mantis started eating the grasshopper from the head,then down to the rest of the body,after it ate the grasshopper(locust),it relaxed and started licking its hands,cleaning off the juicy blood from the grasshopper (locust),the rain had already stopped,so it moved out and flu away. (WRITER TALKING):" There were three different insect which became friends when they met,one was a child of a Caddisfly insect the second was of another insect called dobsonfly and the third was of a mayfly". ..... THIS IS HOW THE THREE OF THEM CAME TO THE STEAM...... (WRITER TALKING):"Caddisfly an insect which resembles a small moth,it has wings with small hairs, distinguishing them from the scaled wings typical of moths. The adults are 1.5 to 2.5 cm (0.6 to 1 in) long. Most have a habit of nocturnal flight and are found near fresh water......a few are marine......the mother Caddisfly was pregnant,but it wasn't her first time giving birth, so she knew what to do,she went straight to a water plant to lay her eggs.....eggs are deposited in green, gelatinous masses.....,after she laid her eggs she left". (WRITER TALKING):" After some weeks the eggs hatched....larvae stage its called caseworm, or cadbait which are aquatic..... The caseworm was elongate with a small, hard head and a soft thorax and abdomen. The larva was alone and it had to protect itself against predators ,it found a tubular silk case covered with sand grains,the caseworm swum into it and began to leave there" . ........BESIDE THE SAME STREAM........ (WRITER TALKING):" A female dobsonfly came out of her hiding place because she wanted to give birth,her colour was brownish-green and she was about 7.6 cm (about 3 in) long with a wingspread of nearly 13 cm (nearly 5 in),as she move she saw a male Dobsonfly with a slender mandibles that can be up to 2.5 cm (1 in) long.he wanted to mate with her,but as he approached her,he saw that she wasn't in her heat season and that she was about to give birth,so he left her in search of another female". (WRITER TALKING):"she found a very nice spot close to the stream,which was on a rock overhanging the stream. she laid her eggs there and left.after some weeks the eggs hatched and the larvae dropped into the stream.it became a fierce predator in the stream, feeding on small aquatic animals.it killed small aquatic animals in numbers.each time small aquatic animal sees it, they run away from it.it was in the water for up to three years,even more longer than the Caddisfly and mayfly,so it was far older than both of them,and its length was 5 cm (2 in). ......at the other side of the stream..... (WRITER TALKING):"a male mayfly was flying about looking for a female to mate with,suddenly his eyes caught the most amazing thing it has ever seen,a very beautiful female mayfly.he flu close to her and did the usual thing that male mayflies do to attract female mayflies,she was totally attracted by what he did". (WRITER TALKING):" they were not the only ones that were about to mate that day, swarms of mayflies mate over the stream including them both. After mating, the male died and the female lived a few more hours, depositing the eggs in the steam before she died". (WRITER TALKING):"week later the egg hatched and the mayfly larvae emerged out and it had a breathing means of gills,it fed on microscopic plant life which were on stones at the bottom of the stream,it was a week younger than the dobsonfly larvae,but old than the caseworm". (WRITER TALKING):" The caseworm was swimming gently and cool in the stream, searching for food to eat,as the caseworm swum, it moved its head like that of a snake,it saw at a corner, a small aquatic animal,the small aquatic animal hid itself in nets spun from secreted silk and anchored in the stream,the caseworm was a quick and fast swimmer,it caught the small aquatic animal in seconds and fed on it.after feeding, it went back to it's home to take a nap. few minutes later it got home but to it's surprise,it saw something feeding on microscopic plant at the bottom of the stream where it's home was,it swum down to know what creature came to its place". caseworm:"yo you,what are you doing here",it asked. INSECT EPISODE 7 ......MEAN WHILE THE DOBSONFLY LARVAE WAS BUSY DOING ITS OWN STUFF........ (WRITER TALKING):" dobsonfly larvae the most fierce predator in the stream,was resting with its eyes closed but its sense extremely active,a little sea worn was moving slow, close to the dobsonfly larvae's mouth,the dobsonfly larvae sensed the movement,but the little worn didn't know that the dobsonfly larvae was sense active.Before the little worn could make another move,the dobsonfly larvae caught it,other little aquatic animals that were around fled off in fear". (WRITER TALKING):"after some hours later the dobsonfly larvae went out to find more food because the little worn it ate was not enough for it,it got to a place where it saw a little aquatic animal laying beside a stone,immediately the little aquatic animal saw the dobsonfly larvae it ran into its little home,the dobsonfly saw that it has ran into it's home which was under a stone.the dobsonfly larvae stayed on top of the stone and waited patiently for it to come out.a minute later it came out,the dobsonfly swum straight down,and caught the little aquatic animal.the movement it made caused a vibration which attracted a big fish,the fish was very hungry.it turned toward the dobsonfly larvae, and chased after it.the fish was like 10inches away from the dobsonfly larvae, before the dobsonfly larvae fully noticed that the fish was coming.the fish opened its mouth wide,the dobsonfly larvae was now in the fish's mouth,the dobsonfly larvae body was inside the fish's mouth but the head wasn't.....if the fish could have closed it's mouth that moment, it will chop off the dobsonfly larvae head off......the dobsonfly larvae had only two options, and that was to swim towards the left or right.....,swimming forward will mark the end of it's life because the fish was swimming in that direction"..... (WRITER TALKING):"the dobsonfly larvae push itself to the left and moved out of the fish's mouth,the fish saw that it's catch has because uncaught,so it quickly turned to the direction the dobsonfly larvae took,the dobsonfly larvae swum as fast as it could, but it wasn't as fast as the fish,the dobsonfly larvae needed to find somewhere to hide itself because the fish was following it from behind,it saw a stone which has a hole under,the fish mouth was almost on hold of its end part,the fish didn't notice that the dobsonfly larvae was about to enter the hole in the stone,the fish thought it has gotten the dobsonfly larvae, the dobsonfly larvae swum into the stone, wiggling it's body to enter properly ,the fish bumped it's head on the stone.in pain the fish left.the dobsonfly larvae relax in there for minutes because it wanted to be sure that the fish had left". (WRITER TALKING):"the dobsonfly larvae was not sure that the fish had left so it came out from the hole with its head ahead of its body,it saw a shadow,with fear it ran back inside.from the inside the dobsonfly larvae watched to know whether it was the fish,the more the shadow came closer the more the dobsonfly larvae pushed itself inside,the real image of the shadow appeared and it wasn't the fish,it was the mayfly larvae.the dobsonfly larvae came out feeling relieved. dobsonfly larvae:"hy there",it said . dobsonfly larvae:"you scared me",it said. Mayfly larvae:"oh sorry",it said. Mayfly larvae:"i didn't know you were in there",it said. (WRITER TALKING):"they left there with the dobsonfly larvae lagging behind.as they swum they saw new things,the dobsonfly larvae showed the caddisworm new styles of hunting from afar,the caddisworm learnt from the dobsonfly larvae,but the mayfly larvae learnt nothing because It was not a hunter". (WRITER TALKING):"as time went on the caddisworm started to get to know and understand the dobsonfly larvae very well,and they all started swimming side by side". (WRITER TALKING):"After several months in the stream the caddisworm,mayfly larvae and dobsonfly larva stage was over.they were now in their nymphal stage Dobsonfly nymphal:"guys my body has changed",it said. caddisfly nymphal:"mine too",it said. mayfly nymphal:"I am already molting guys",it said. (WRITER TALKING):"they were about a thousand of them there,both male and female.after 10 minutes some of them took flight......lets call the caddisfly that came out of the water BLE so that we don't get it mixed up.....Ble and other caddisflies which haven't taken flight, were about to fly upwards,when a full grown female toad jumped out from the grasses and started catch them with its long sticky tongue,it caught 9 of the caddisflies,Ble was lucky enough to fly away". (WRITER TAKING):"as Ble was flying, a bird saw Ble and chased after it,Ble couldn't escape death this time because there was no way an insect could defeat a bird in speed,the bird opened its mouth to caught Ble,but luckily for Ble the bird didn't see the tree branch ahead of it,the bird's head kissed the tree branch so hard that it made the bird faint, and it fell to the ground.Ble continued flying and praying in its mind not to die,as he was thinking that, a bird flu right pass its front and caught one of its kinda right in front of him.the speed the bird took caused massive air to push Ble to the lower ground". INSECT EPISODE 9 (WRITER TALKING):"the lizard went forward to catch other caddisflies that were still trying to fly up,and also the once that couldn't not fly so high,Ble managed to get right back on its legs,Ble didn't fly again, because Ble knew if it flu,it will end up badly,so Ble went to hide itself,until everything dies down". ........HOURS LATER INSIDE THE STREAM......... Dobsonfly nymphal:"dude I need to start going,I am no longer feeling like an under water creature",it said. Mayfly nymphal:"me too",it said. Mayfly nymphal:"it remains 5 more times for me to molt,so I gotta go out now",it said. dobsonfly nymphal:"good bye pal",it said. Mayfly nymphal"good bye pal",it said. (WRITER TALKING):" the dobsonfly nymphal came out of the steam, and went to pupate under a stone which was beside a tree.the dobsonfly nymphal stayed there for a month after which it emerge as an large adult dobsonfly. Although it emerges as a large dobsonfly, it is a weak flyer making it an easy prey for animals that eats' insects". ......BACK AT THE STREAM...... (WRITER TALKING):"the mayfly after 20 molts,it emerges from its nymphal skin on the water surface and flu to a nearby plant,where it went through its last molt, shedding its downy, waterproof skins.....Mayflies are the only insects to molt in a winged stage".... (WRITER TALKING):"now a full grown male with a short antennae on its head,in length from 1 to 3 cm (0.4 to 1.2 in),with three long tail filaments and a transparent upright forewings,the mayfly also had bulging, light-sensitive eyes.the mayfly couldn't feed no more because its time was at hand......generally full grown mayflies don't feed"..... It went to look for a female,so that it could mate with her,and pass on its generation,but it knew that after it mate with a male,it was going to loose it's life like its parent did"............ (WRITER TALKING):"that was how the dobsonfly,mayfly and the caddisfly separated and only the mayfly didn't enjoy its life too long,but the dobsonfly and the caddisfly enjoyed their lives properly. ......BACK ON LAND;BESIDE A TREE WHERE ANTS LEAVED...... (WRITER TALKING):"A smart insect which had only one goal, and that was to survival the harsh life of little creatures.they are called scale insect,it leaved on the surface of a tree,the scale insect was not alone,its kind were everywhere on the tree's surface,both males and females,they all attached themselves in great number to the tree's surface in a way creating a scalelike appearance". (WRITER TALKING):"when the scale insect is in its nymphal stage, both males and females live by sucking plant juices. Only male undergoes complete metamorphosis by loosing its sucking and piercing mouthparts, and develops antennae, legs, and a single pair of wings,the male adult becomes a nonfeeding motile". (WRITER TALKING):"The female undergoes degeneration, its mouthparts are retained, but it develops no wings or eyes and keeps only rudimentary antennae and legs, becoming a nearly immobile, shell-like organism with little resemblance to ordinary insects.the females scale insect attached themselves by their mouthparts especially to the bark-covered stems of the tree in number,they lay huge quantities of eggs, which they protect under their waxy coverings.....they also use the waxy coverings to camouflage and seal themselves off from predators". (WRITER TALKING):" An insect which you will never noticed existed on the scale insect,they are called chalcid wasp and they were in large group,chalcid wasp has a gentle nature,they prey on the scale insect,Even without the scale insect knowing about them......although a few are plant eaters and so many of their hosts are insects destructive to plants....... because the scale insect was an injurious insect to the tree". (WRITER TALKING):"they were up to 20 on a scale insect,but the scale insect didn't notice or feel anything because they all were very tiny.the chalcid wasp lay their eggs on the scale insect's eggs,their eggs are parasites of the scale insect's egg and larvae too". (WRITER TALKING):" The chalcid wasp insect is rarely measure more than 2.5 mm (more than 0.1 in) in length ,Chalcid wasp are characterized by elbowed antennae and greatly reduced wing venation". (WRITER TALKING):"things were walking out well between the scale insect and the chalcid wasp,but nature was not going to allow them leave too long". (WRITER TALKING):"a heavy rain started with serious thunderstorm pushing down trees with weak support to the ground.animal that could run,ran into a safe place to protect themselves against the storm,flying was not a good idea because of the wind that blew was able to push a city bus upside down". (WRITER TALKING):"although the tree which the scale insects stayed was partly base to the ground,it was still able to withstand the wind a little,but not for too long,the heavy wind blew again and now the tree was a minute from falling to the ground due to the heavy wind,the wind increase with force now pushing the tree to the ground,the chalcid wasp did feel a heavy fall but it didn't know what was really going on because its own world was totally different,the tree fell killing some scale insects on one side of the tree,the others which were at the other side escaped death,but It was not over yet". (WRITER TALKING):" thunder stroke the tree twice on its branches causing serious fire,a scale insect on see this tried to ran.....but how can such a small slow insect run away from something faster and more deadly and bigger than it..... The chalcid wasp never knew that death was coming and coming fast,the scale insect wanted to fly but just as it opened its wings to fly up a heavy wind blew and pushed the scaled insect into the fire,killing both the chalcid wasp and its host which was the scale insect in a second,the fire burnt the tree to its last,killing all the scale insects and chalcid wasp on it"......... ........MEAN WHILE INSIDE A BAT CAVE....... (WRITER TALKING):" In the middle of two stones, fertilized egg from a Cockroach was left alone by a female cockroach for weeks.... Egg are result of mating of a male and female cockroach,and are cemented together by the female in a sausage-shaped egg case known as the ootheca.......the female ranges from 1 mm (0.04 in) to more than 9 cm (3.6 in) in length......,inside the fertilized egg contains over 32 eggs"....... (WRITER TALKING):"after weeks The cockroaches(Nymphal) emerges from the eggs,every single one of them will go their separate ways and places in search of food to use and survival their hard life......The Nymphal of the cockroaches undergo gradual metamorphosis-that is, they grow and mature in stages......they are oval in shape,has a foul odor, are flat and oval in outline. Their head points downward and it is protected by the enlarged flanges of the thorax.the cave was filled up with millions of cockroaches everywhere because of the large increase in birth rate". (WRITER TALKING):"as time went on their exoskeleton molt at each successive stage, Making them to resemble the adult insect more and more.after moths later the cockroaches molt for the last time,which gives rise to a winged, sexually mature individual cockroach". (WRITER TALKING):"a male winged adult Cockroach wondered off out side the cave in the afternoon,because It couldn't find food to eat in the cave,the Cockroach couldn't see properly because it was sensitive to light.but it could walk so It walked quickly to avoid being seen by insect eaters and also to avoid the hot sun,it made 30 steps then stopped, then it flicked its long, hairlike, highly sensitive antennae randomly.the cockroach sensed a tiny amount of food right under a stone,in front of it, with the help of its sensory bristles.it walked to the position of where the food was,and the Cockroach dug itself underneath the stone with its abdomen sticking out like a spray gun, so that it can eat the food properly". (writer talking):" As it was eating, its cerci sensory which was extending from the rear of the abdomen, sense air movement right above it,quickly the cockroach ran backwards leaving the food unfinished,as it ran it sensory detected another movement coming to its back,the cockroach changed its direction rapidly and it flee from there". (WRITER TALKING):"it ran into a corner between the root of a tree,it couldn't tell where it was because it hardly see in day time.it stayed there until night fell.later at night,it came out from the corner in search for food,it climbed up a plant,as it got to the top,a chameleon shoot out its tongue to catch the cockroach,but the sensory of the cockroach was on, so it jumped from the plant,the chameleon's sticky tongue touch the cockroach's back but it didn't stick on it because the cockroach's outer skin was soft and slippery....it is also called cuticle, and it keeps them from dehydrating......it ran as fast as its legs could carry it". (WRITER TALKING):"after months males and females were ready to mate in the cave, the females around started to produce a pheromone odor, that attracts so many males to her,the males would flap their wings and probe for females with their abdomens when they sense the pheromone,after that the females chooses the dominant male and mate with them, male cockroaches back into female cockroaches and mating ensues......
