Kelly Rowland has issued a statement confirming the
reports of her mother’s death »

66-year-old Doris Rowland Garrison died on Tuesday,
December 2, after going into cardiac arrest the previous day.
The former Destiny's Child star confirmed the news via a
statement issued by her publicist on December 3. It reads:

“It is with deep sadness that I
announce the passing of my mother, Doris Rowland Garrison.
She was an incredible soul who made countless sacrifices so that I could become the woman—and now mother—I am today,”
“We humbly appreciate all the
love and support and only ask for privacy during this difficult time,” the statement added. [hupso]
