A thief went to a house and stole some valuables but in trying
to sneak out, someone spotted him and shouted. People went
after him and he was caught. The house owner and the wife
have gone to church. They called them on phone and they came
back. The thief was a well built handsome young man. The
house owner's wife saw her jewelries with the thief, she was
mad and demanded that people beat him to death before
handling him over to police but her husband was quiet and
insisted that nobody beats him again and that everyone should
go and leave him with the thief alone. The decision pained his
wife and she started raising her voice. The man looked at his
wife and said, "Honey, you don't know things I did when I was
like this young man and God never permitted me to be beaten
like this for once" When you are angry with people for
disappointing and offending you, do you ever remember that
you once did the same? We have all been forgiven and we owe
others the debt of forgiveness. There is weakness in us. We
don't have to be looking at other people's weakness as some
terrible sickness. Most times, when a liar sees a prostitutes, she
says, "God forbid that I can live this way" But the truth is, the
way she is already is more terrible than the prostitute. We are
capable of doing what is not right and we have to be capable of
forgiving what is not right.
