EPISODE 3 The journey was about 2 hours drive, I alighted from the bus and thereafter dialed Jerry’s number to inform him of my arrival and he quickly rushed down to pick me. Fifteen questions to answer for just 30mins and I didn’t spend up to 20mins in the hall before I came out. The examiner concentrated more on biology, physics and chemistry with just two questions from mathematics which are just like quantitative I did in primary school. EPISODE 9 Warri Again!!! I enjoyed my stay in Ozoro especially the new fishes I caught with my indestructible net but it’s good to be home. No wonder they say ‘no place like home’; immediately as I got home, my mum has already cooked Owho soup, all I have to do is to prepare starch and marmar the great combination (yellow & yellow)… After eating, I was pressed and decided to use the rest room, getting there I zipped down and brought out my curve7 to execute the waste urine in my bladder. I discovered the urine was reddish in colour and very painful while coming out through the urethra, after some time the urine stopped dripping and I shake my curve7 like that of an android phone sending files through flashshare/xender with tears rolling off my eyes, as if I was beaten due to the stress I applied in forcing the urine out. It’s really strange because I haven’t felt such while urinating before, maybe it’s because I’ve been bearing if for some hours. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Staying alone at home was so boring but not on Saturdays when all the area boys will assemble at the back of Olodi primary school to gist or play different sport games. I went to my room to change what I was wearing to Chelsea’s jersey and trunk before heading to the school field, on my way there I saw some of my area friends walking towards that direction, they are all wearing their sport kit and I stopped them so we can all go to the field together. For everyone to be serious in the game we all contributed #20 each and stake, the winning team will have to take the whole money at the end. The game was so hot because of the money each side dropped as the winning price, I was one of the key men in my area when it comes to football but I wasn’t able to deliver my team with just one goal. While the game was going on I became exhausted and ask someone to replace me, I left the field to get myself sachet water (local deionize H2O) I drank 2 sachet and pour one all over my head. Make sure you call me later in the day ME: hmm I love you too dear, I will call you later… bye for now (trying to end the conversation since am already in front of the pharmacy) FAVOUR: bye I ended the call while in front of the pharmacy shop and walked in to explain my experience with Mr. Vincent Akabueze the pharmacist. After my brief explanation of what am experiencing, he advised me to go for proper check up in any of the medical laboratory around or better still see a professional doctor in general hospital before I can know the main problem am encountering, that I could be infected with one of the following STD which include chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital warts, genital herpes and staphylococcus which suit my explanation. He said that their symptoms are the same with what I just gave but are easy to cure. He later added that the sooner your infection is diagnosed, the better are your chances of getting it treated and cured so make sure you go for the test today…. I ran off like super Mario to see if I can get the test done, it seems my enemies are at work again and they won’t succeed, I assured myself. Jerry might have an idea on what is wrong with me, I dialed his number to tell him what happened and seek his advice ME: Jerry, yawa don burst oo JERRY: Who die? EPISODE 10 How I wish there is an escape route to free myself from this mess, its certain that nemesis has caught up with me and I have to accept it and find a perfect solution… with lot of diversion of taught I finally decided to see our family doctor Dr. Gbogboro Freedom, instead of those so called professional doctors working in general hospital, I can’t stand their questions unlike Dr. Gbogboro who will understand everything I will say and commence treatment without any restriction. I got to his hospital at Ogborikoko road and met his absence, I have to wait for him and ignore other doctors’ invitation to see them and tell them what brought me to the hospital… For me not to be idle, I engaged in discussion with one of the patient waiting for Dr. Gbogboro too, according to him he was involve in a fatal accident but with the grace of God he survived sustaining just a fracture of his spinal cord leaving him with hunch back, I couldn’t tell him my reason for visiting the hospital because I was ashamed and don’t even know how to put it into an explanatory form. During the course of our discussion Dr. Gbogboro walked in like fragile glassware passing everyone waiting for him in the form of laminar flow. Soon patient troop into his office one after the other until it got to my turn. I walked in and he offer me a seat which I sat down comfortably to enumerate and elucidate the issue that brought me to his office, after my explanation he cleared his throat and threw the following questions on me which I answered without shame or fright…. DR. GBOGBORO: You have more than one sex partner am I correct? ME: yes sir you’re correct DR. GBOGBORO: You don't use condom when having sex? ME: I do use sometimes, depending on how it start DR. GBOGBORO: do you trade sex for money or drugs? ME: not at all DR. GBOGBORO: well you have sex with someone who has had many partners or might have contacted this infection through toilet or other source, presently I can’t give a prescription until I get the result of a well taken test. I knocked the door of the doctor’s office twice before opening looking straight to the doctors’ eyes, he laughed after sighted me and advice me to be careful with women that if possible I should avoid unprotected sex for such not to happen again. He was still looking at the result at the same time writing on a small paper, when he finished, he gave me the test result and the small paper containing the drugs I have to buy. He urge me to get the drugs from the pharmacy department in the hospital and not those quake chemist store out there, I left his office for the pharmacy department and pay for the drugs which was given to me after the payment was made. I went back to his office to know if am paying for any other thing but he told me to go home that the only thing am suppose to pay for is the test but he has already taken care of that, I greeted him with great appreciation and left the hospital with satisfaction. It’s now confirmed that I will be okay as long as I take the medication as prescribed by the doctor to eliminate the Staphylococcus aureus, I will also help myself by eliminating Favour, get rid of Rukky in my heart, and erase women totally in my life so as to be a free man. I even went further to praise God for the deliverance promising to serve him in truth and in spirit, and give offering of thanks (thanksgiving) the next day been Sunday…. Reaching home I took the right dose of the medication for the day and start meditating all through, the whole film of what I did in Ozoro played in my mind and I try to figure out who among the two girls I slept with infected me with this so called ‘staph’ (‘ota garri’ according to Jerry). I even took my drugs to church to pray on it, and swallow that morning dose right in the church while the service was going on. I waited for second service and took the afternoon dose there also, until it got to 4:00pm sharp when they finally close, assuming there is evening service I would have stay behind because I was filled with the Holy Spirit as I sweat furiously dancing to the glory of God and singing at the top of my voice. The day was uneventful as I did so many unusual things; I locked myself inside my room and slept off without even watching my favorite programme on Mytv station. I woke up around 1:34am to urinate and was scared because of the normal pain I received any time I try to pee, I have to bear it but couldn’t because it was itching me badly. Nature can’t be cheated so I have to urinate by obeying nature, behold I urinated like I use to without feeling any pain. Staph is gone at last, my mind became at peace as I slept without any worries (akuna matata). - - - - - - - - - - - - The next day being Monday, I woke up to see a text from Jerry, I checked the time its 8:15am already. I quickly unlock my phone to read the message and after reading it my heart was filled with joy…. EPISODE 11 Satan the devil has his way of spoiling someone’s joy but not in this case. I haven’t finished celebrating the good news Jerry gave me when a call came in, I almost picked it as I brought the phone out of my pocket but seeing the caller’s name makes me get moody. It’s a call from RUKKY OZ, what does she want from me? I asked myself. She kept on calling, giving me 2 dozens of miss calls (24 missed calls), I couldn’t bear it anymore and I start ending the calls by pressing the red button on my phone since it’s not there for fancy, but she still kept on calling. I angrily put my phone on airplane mode so no call can come in and opened Jerry’s message to confirm the source of my happiness; “Congratulation brother, you are among the 200 students that were admitted into the department of SCIENCE LAB. TECH. your name is the 15th name on the list, you should try and come over for your clearance. I’m happy for you” - - - - - - - - - - - - Guess what, in less than two hours all my properties have been arranged awaiting next week, when I will leave for the clearance. I made some withdraw with my ATM card to get some stuffs in preparation for next week departure. At last am leaving for school after many years at home, as if three years is a thousand years. I just can’t swallow such great news alone I have to broadcast it to my friends since they won’t be seeing me in the area any more. I opened my Ecolax box to get a nice T-shirt, pencil jean and my Versace shoe which I wore as if am going to the club. I started the movement by visiting my family members before visiting my friends. Some of my friends gingered me to follow them to a popular bar in town for a get-together party, telling me it calls for a celebration and not just mere talking… While we were in the bar drinking, I decided to call some of my friends who haven’t heard, so they can come over and join us. There were lot of champagne, whiskey, Hennessey, and beers on the table which hasn’t been touched. Ohhh, my phone is still on airplane mode, I deactivated the airplane mode and network came in with a beep of my message tune. The message is from RUKKY OZ, so I ignored opening it, as I search my contact for the numbers I wanted to call. I made the calls and all my niggers ball in with their babes and lot of ballary, it’s a complete house and they made me catch fun as if it’s my birthday. We really enjoyed ourselves and left the place with lot of liquor in our system. Oke who engineered the get-together by paying for the drinks, almost get us killed as he drove his car like Jarkie Chan on our way home, he saw a bulldozer coming and he starting throttling the car which increased the acceleration, when we ask him to slow down he said there is no need for that, telling us he want to fly over the bulldozer like we use to watch in American films. Most of us were surprise as our eyes became clearer; I griped the stirring from him and turn it back to our lane leaving the car with just a minor scratch after hitting the side of the bulldozer. ‘See wizard when won kill me on top my admission’, I have to step him down and took over the wheel, we dropped everyone that were inside the car in their respective home before I drove down to Okes’ house to park his sienna model XLE. He lives in the next street after mine; I trek to my house with dazzling eyes which makes everyone appear double on the road… It’s a day well spent and also to remember. I spend almost the whole day in the company of my friends; I manage to bath and settled on one of the chairs in the sitting room to watch my programme since its 9:00pm which is the time for the programme DYESEBEL on Mytv. As the programme was going on I notice my phone battery was down so I went to where the socket is, squat and plug my charger. As I was about standing RUKKY OZ started calling again, does it mean this girl is missing me or she is up to something. I ended the call and she sent another message into my phone making it two messages, I clicked on the message notification to check what she has sent. THE FIRST MESSAGE “I know I’ve wrong you, by not talking to you after what we had that night, and also not replying the text you sent me the day after. I’m really sorry, call back please” THE SECOND MESSAGE “Eli I haven’t seen my flow this month and I guess am pregnant, more reason why you have to call me” My brain ignited, it can’t be trueeeeeee. I promise myself to be a changed person and this so called RUKKY wants to tie me down, over my dead body oo, in short it won’t work…. I was still saying it loud, when my mum walked in and asked me what is the problem? Demanding to know who wants to tie me down, I never knew she overheard what I said; ME: Jerry told me my name is out but the school is demanding one hundred thousand from each student, before we can start the clearance and other payments, but I said to myself that they can’t tie me down because of that money MUM: when do they need the money? ME: According to him, we are to pay the money into the school account next week MUM: I’ll give you the money when you are ready to go, so don’t bother yourself ME: Thanks baby… (Saying it with relieve, I was able to twist the truth and got a reward of one hundred thousand naira lol) She Walked back to her room and I started thinking if I should call Rukky, or text her. She can’t even carry my baby because she might deposit some fraction of her staph to the baby. How I’m sure she is the one that gave me the staph self, it might be Favour because her body is even too open. I manage to hit the walls of her orifice because of the experience I have in bleeping. I was thrown into confusion by my taught, and slept off without arriving at a concrete solution. - - - - - - - - - - - - Throughout the week I spoke with Jerry on phone, and he gave me lot of orientation about the school. We planned on how we will cope when I finally resume. I also spoke with Favour trying to get familiar with her and take her as a friend, YES ‘just a friend’. And I kept on ignoring RUKKY by not taking her calls nor replying her messages….. I can’t be a father now, and if truly she is pregnant it’s certain, that I’m not the father of that child because I know I didn’t pour much inside, I only gave her one shot and pour the rest shot outside her shawama… TO BE CONTINUED….

EPISODE 12 The so waited week finally came, before then I’ve contacted all my family members and friends who gave me what they can offer as a support to my education. I now have money to get all I needed like a classic apartment that is well furnished, electronics, generator, school fees and others unknown to me. People do say “a player is always a player” if I should see myself as a football player then it’s obvious that I played my games like Christiano Ronaldo who never get caught by any defender, because of his skills and pace, but I will try and take the light of Fernado Torres who became a washed and faded player when transferred to Chelsea FC. - - - - - - - - - - - THE POLYTECHNIC The first two weeks was like hell, moving from one office to another for clearance, collection of 4 files and payment of dues from bank to bank. I also created time to be with Jerry and pay for an apartment in DADDY’S HOSTEL. During this period lectures weren’t in my mind, even though they have started lecturing. To me it’s too fast, students in ND1 going to ND2 just finish writing their second semester exams and they expect the new intake to be receiving class, it’s really unfair. In no due cost, I was done with all the payment and made some nice friends who were also busy doing their clearance too. What is left now for me is to change all the tellers and bank draft to the school receipt. Almost all the offices we entered the staffs there will ask for recharge card or drinks before they will attend to us, I played along with them by cooperating and by the third week I was through with all payments and changing of tellers to receipt… - - - - - - - - - - - It’s the fourth week of resumption; I was the first to be in the lecture hall, since I haven’t received any proper lecture, I prepared on time and left my apartment where I stayed alone as early as 6am. After an hour, the lecture hall was filled to the beam and noise took over the mini hall as voices echoed like a talking drum in my ears. I wasn’t comfortable being my first time of receiving lectures in the school, I rested my head on the desk where I was sitting down, and started listening to reggae songs on my phone. In a short while, someone tapped me which makes me to adjust staring at the pretty girl eye ball to eye ball, she returned my gazed with a frigid sensation. CHEKWUBE: My friend, are you fine? ME: Do I look sick? EPISODE 13 I haven’t finished my statement when an average height man walked into the hall and the whole building became calm like a graveyard. Chekwube just whispered to my ears that he is the lecturer taking plant and animal taxonomy and also the course adviser of the department; I nodded in haste as if my mouth weren’t functioning. LECTURER: Good morning great scientist! CLASS: Good morning sir (The whole class shouted) LECTURER: I believed some of you are here for the first time, and some of you where in my first class? CLASS: Yes sir (some students were shouting MR. FOLE the thalophyta) LECTURER: For those of you who don’t know me am your course adviser, my name is MR. FOLE and I’ll be taking a very important course in your field, with the course code STB121 ‘plant and animal taxonomy’. He wrote the topic for the day on the marker board, which is TAXONOMY and started lecturing. He defined taxonomy as the science of finding, describing, classifying and naming organisms; he explained further and touched some sub-topic where he ended with NUMECLATURE. During the lecture he asked several questions and the brilliant student especially those in his first class answered all perfectly, I happened to be among those that answered his question. He brought out a book and wrote down our names, he promise to pick the class rep which they fondly call HOC (Head Of Class) from that list in his next class, he gave us an assignment and left the lecture hall. Other lecturers came in turn that very day to introduce the course they take, and continue from where they stopped in their previous class. I was a bit shy with the way people looked at me at the end of the days’ lecture, but Chekwube told me it’s because of my unbelievable performance in the first class we had. She asked me to follow her to her hostel to get the notes, and promise to help me copy some. We boarded a bike and went to her hostel. CHEKWUBE: Welcome to my house, please sit down (offering me a stool) ME: You have a nice place CHEKWUBE: thanks, I know yours will be a paradise, can’t wait to go there with you (sorting out all the notes from her small shelf) ME: I pray oo CHEKWUBE: you sound like someone from Warri with you accent? My phone rang up to five times while I was on the bike but I couldn’t pick-up, I paid the bike man and brought out my phone to see who have been calling. Its FAVOUR, I dialed her number and she picked FAVOUR: It has come to this level eh? ME: Is that how you greet your elders? (Saying it jokingly) FAVOUR: Sorry, I noticed you have been avoiding me. It’s the fourth week since you resumed and we haven’t seen each other, any time I call you on phone, you must always have an excuse either you are in the bank or bursary, if not bursary its admission office ME: But that is the truth na (interrupting her) FAVOUR: Today you were on top of bike with the rector’s daughter, going to her house to pay for SUG DUE shey? EPISODE 14 I was in my room putting things in place when someone barge my door wide open without knocking, such altitude really gets me pissed off, but because it was Favour, I didn’t reveal how angry I was. I welcomed her in with a hug and offer her to sit on my foreign leather chair, which is adjacent to my bed, facing my 14 inches flat screen tv (LG plasma). I brought out Holandia yoghurt from my student refrigerator and gave it to her with a smiling outlook, before going to the filling station to get petrol. The queue there was so long that I spent almost 20mins until it got to my turn; I planned to buy 6 liters which I believe will take us till dawn but the attendant said a liter is #170 and no longer #86. I gave him #680 for 4litres, which was at a very high cost. I should have bought from black market at the rate of #200 per liter na, than to be on this queue wasting my precious time, I complained bitterly to the pump attendant as I close the gallon I took there to get the petrol. I branch a beer parlor on my way back to get a bottle of John Bar, knowing fully well that Favour love drinking whisky. Gotten home I perceive a pleasant smell coming from my kitchen and tried to figure out what it was FAVOUR: What took you so long? ME: I met a very long queue in the filling station, and have to wait until it gets to my turn FAVOUR: Are you sure? I’m not a dull girl oo, I can perceive the cigarette on your body ME: Can’t you see what am holding, I went to eagle square to get you this whisky. Or don’t you like john bar again? FAVOUR: I like ME: What have you been doing since I left? FAVOUR: Go inside the kitchen and see for yourself I entered the kitchen and saw all sort of ingredient hovering with rice as it boils, bringing out steam which smells like fried rice. I didn’t tell this girl to cook fried rice ooo, ‘what if she washed something inside, it could even be her shawama water that is making it to green’ I said to myself. I prefer to eat the okro soup I cooked than this poison she is cooking right now. For her not to get suspicious, I thanked her for the great job she was doing and ask her to open the drink I bought, so we can drink together. She opened it and drank almost half of the bottle on that particular spot, pouring the content into her mouth directly from the bottle. I took it from her and serve her with a disposable cup and also turn some for myself. We drank together and started talking about the fun we had in the party where we met each other, we went further to talk about the hotel we spent the night that very day. She revealed to me that she weren’t really high when I jump on her, that she pulls her clothes herself because she needs a man at that moment. I was not surprise when she said so, because I remember she asked for a second round, of which I gave to her, meaning she knows I touched her at first. We were still discussing when she started touching and robbing her bosoms, she left the leather chair she was sitting and join me in the bed, I notice the change in her and started praying in my mind for God to give me the strength to overcome any temptation she will render. At this point she removed her hands from her bosoms and head straight to my chest removing the two upper button of my shirt. She started rubbing my hairy chest and pinching my little nipples, she was about moving her reddish lip which was filled with lipstick paint on my own lips, when I push her. I was really mad with my curve7 because I expected it to remain at rest since I am now a change person but it stood up without my permission, I promise to tie it with rope when next it behaves in such a way. Favour came out with a well served fried rice containing two spoons, and brought out two sachet water, from the fridge. She put some quantity of rice on my mouth, and asks me to do same which I comply, I wanted to stop eating but the rice was so sweet, that I have to eat it with her to the end and even ask for more. When we finish eating, she collected the bottle of whisky and drank the remaining content; I was just staring at her wondering why a girl should drink in such manner. I greeted her for preparing a delicious meal, and went to the bathroom to freshen up; I came out and saw her with my phone. FAVOUR: A message just came into your phone from RUKKY ME: Please let me have it FAVOUR: I wanted to read it but your phone was locked ME: You know it’s not good to read someone’s message that is the girl that gave me her notes to copy. FAVOUR: I’m a special person to you na, so I have the right to read your messages ME: Yes you have the right. Go and bathe now the water is not running well again, I guess the tank is almost empty (trying to avoid more talk). I collected the phone from her and she took my towel and went to the bathroom. I unlocked my phone and open the message RUKKY sent. “Eli, I’m travelling down to Warri on Saturday. My dad just called me that he has been promoted to Major General after defecting Bokoharam in Kaduna State. If you want to see me, come to my house at 200 battalion army barrack. Love you, sweetdreams” What a problematic situation I have landed myself into? So RUKKY father is a soldier? Jezz!!! I can’t see myself being mess up by an army, she even said 200battalion ooooooooo… my world has come to an end… There is no need to panic, because she calls me her love and wish me sweet dreams, I must call her and reach an agreement with her. In short anything she wants from me, I must make sure I do it. I was still exaggerating when FAVOUR came out from the bathroom. TO BE CONTINUED……

All this while Favour was still sleeping snoring loud like an elephant; I took my bath and woke her up to bathe as well. She greeted me and went to the bathroom, after some minutes she came back wore her clothes and arrange her belongings in her small bag. I told her to get us food which she did without complaining, we ate the Okro soup together without having any conversation. After eating she packed the plates to the kitchen to wash as I arrange my bag for school. She came out with a fake smile and we both went to the road side to get bike. I asked her to enter the first bike we saw and gave the bike man #500, to give her the change when they got to her hostel. After waiting for some minute a bike dropped someone close to my hostel which I entered to school. The school premises were so dull with fewer students; I have to locate a better spot where I can rest for some time before going to my lecture hall. I went to a garden where they call ‘love garden’ to rest for the main time until it get to 8am, when we will be having our first class for the day. My mind was still in a roaming state lacking momentum, all I was thinking is RUKKY and the treat FAVOUR imposed on me. I tried to call RUKKY but her phone was switched off, I called Jerry and he picked ME: Guy which way? JERRY: Planning to enter waff town today? ME: You guys, are on holiday na? JERRY: Yes, but it’s just 3 weeks of which I have spent two weeks in the school. I want to go and spend the remaining one week with my people jare ME: Have you seen RUKKY today? They were all putting on black shirt, black trousers, black shoes and black cap. I left the love garden as fast as I can because I don’t want to fall into any problem in the school. I went straight to my class and saw Chekwube sitting alone, I went to where she was sitting and sat with her ME: Good morning my dearest friend CHEKWUBE: Good morning bros, you must try and be in school on time if you want to sit at the front ME: I came on time, but was in the love garden relaxing CHEKWUBE: Can’t you relax in the class; I will not keep seat for you again oo I gave her note books to her, and we started revising what MRS. CARO who they call MAMA LOGIC in the department, took them in their previous class. She explained everything to me which I assimilate. While we were still revising the lady came in. Normal lecture was given and I tried to make the class feel my presence, by answering some crucial questions thrown by MRS. CARO. She left the lecture hall satisfactorily, other student follow suit to get something to eat, or play outside. I and CHEKWUBE also went out to get snacks. TO BE CONTINUED….

EPISODE 16 We got to the school canteen, where we bought the snacks and minerals before returning back to our lecture hall, for the next class. Reaching there I noticed my bag was not on our seat, I asked CHEKWUBE if she hid it but she said ‘NO’. We went round the class, and manage to see it at the back of the building, where we are receiving lectures. I search the bag to see if anything has been stolen, but to my greatest surprise everything was in place. We both went in; waiting for the next lecturer to come. CHEKWUBE was very surprise because her bag was still inside while mine was taken outside without anything stolen. The next lecturer came in and started talking to himself, as he reads his textbook, I saw everyone writing including Chekwube and I brought out my note book also to write. I opened the small zip in my bag to get my pen and saw a small paper which came out with my pen; I didn’t have time to read what was written on it because the lecturer has gone far with his dictation. I jumped some lines and started writing as he dictate, while I was writing, I saw those three guys on black looking at me through the window. As soon as they notice I have sighted them they disappear, leaving me with tension. After the class, I brought out the piece of paper to check what was written on it; ‘You are been watched, better have a rethink and do what is right otherwise you won’t live to tell your stories’ The message sounds more like a threat to me, but I ignored thinking it wasn’t for me, maybe someone mistakenly dropped it inside my bag, I concluded as I tore the paper. Myself and CHEKWUBE walked to the school gate and departed to our various ways, I told her I will be going to my friend’s place, that we will see tomorrow when she asked if she can join me to my house. I took a bike to Jerry’s hostel and told him the whole truth about me and RUKKY. JERRY: Eli, I swear you acted foolishly ME: Why do you say so? JERRY: That girl can’t be lying, everybody knows her to be a very responsible person, you are the only guy who have slept in her house, ever since she came to this hostel ME: Really? JERRY: Yes guy, you better go and beg her now oo. My friend go and meet her and stop complaining. As you can see am arranging the bag am taking to Warri I pick up courage to approach her, and walk towards her door. She opened as I knocked the door ME: I am sorry for not believing you RUKKY: You don’t have to be sorry, rather I should be the one saying am sorry for pushing you away (*smiling* showing all her set of teeth) ME: Are you still mad at me? RUKKY: Can you come inside; I was about eating when you knocked I walked in and shut the door; she went back to the door and locked it with the keys. She pleaded I join her with the food but I insisted, telling her am okay, I just can’t wait to have a peace agreement with her. While she was eating my eyes was facing her Tommy to see if it is swollen but it wasn’t. ME: Hope you have been doing well? RUKKY: Yes, why did you ask? ME: Nothing really, but you know pregnant women are not suppose to stress themselves RUKKY: Not in this stage, it’s just 5weeks which is a month and one week. ME: So what is your plan? RUKKY: I wanted to terminate it because my dad won’t be happy to find out am pregnant for a guy who isn’t ready for me, but since you have come back I’ll keep it ME: What do you think is the best decision to make now? RUKKY: It’s left for you to decide ME: Tell me about your family? RUKKY: I lost my mum while I was 10yrs old, my grand mum have to take care of me since my father is always going from one war to another as a soldier, protecting his country. I’m the only child my father has so he don’t play with me, he always come to town to see me every month. ME: Sorry for your loss. RUKKY: You will get to meet him soon ME: I don’t want to meet him….. I mean not nowww (I stammered) RUKKY: No problem ME: What if he finds out you are pregnant? RUKKY: I won’t let him know now; I will hide it from him until it’s obvious ME: Okay, but they can still remove the pregnancy right? RUKKY: At this stage it can be removed, but since I love you I won’t terminate it. I know you love me too She walked towards me and gave me a peck after a closed warm hug. EPISODE 17 Rukky walked down with me to get a bike, and promise to visit me in my hostel the next day. Getting to my hostel, I saw those three boys coming out from my hostel with same dress code. What does these guys wants from me? It is clear they’re after me because I’ve seen them almost 3 times today. ‘Notin do me sha, as a warri boy anything when won happen go happen’, I walked pass them with a little fright in me, and entered my hostel. I was thinking they will stop me but they didn’t. I head straight to my apartment, and locked myself inside. While in my room, I called Rukky to let her know I have gotten home, I also called Jerry who told me he is on his way to Warri. - - - - - - - - - - - I barely settled after eating a well cooked spaghetti, when Favour started calling me on phone. I picked up immediately; ME: Hello fav! FAVOUR: So it’s because of that tinny boko you choose not to touch me last night? ME: I don’t know what you are saying FAVOUR: You better don’t know, but have it in mind that, I gave you just one week to correct all your mistakes. She ended the call leaving me with disbelieve, this is somebody that ate with me in the morning before I left for school. Why is she now carrying a strange altitude? I’m a man and should be in the right place to force her to myself, not she forcing me to herself. More also I don’t see anything wrong by taking her as a friend. I tried to call her back, and make her see reasons with me, but her number wasn’t reachable. How did I even get into this mess? This girl might be smoking igbo ooo, I concluded… - - - - - - - - - - The next day I went to school as normal, came back and called Rukky who promised to be with me. She came and we both enjoyed each other’s company, she made me feel loved, and I concluded that I will be with her at all cost. She even gave me a shocking news, that she told her dad about me, being her boyfriend of which her dad gave her the go ahead, since she isn’t a baby anymore. I was really surprise with the way things were going between us. She slept in my house and left the next day morning… I was really comfortable with her, but something is still telling me that she is not pregnant. How can I know if she is pregnant then, I finally came to a conclusion that, I will request for the pregnancy result from her. She must have done the test earlier on which makes her know that, her pregnancy is just a month plus. - - - - - - - - - - - THURSDAY Because of the sweet moment I had with Rukky the previous day, I woke up late. This makes me not to prepare on time and went to school meeting the first class of the day half way, I tried to search for Chekwube through the window, but couldn’t find her in the class. I entered the lecture hall through the back door and stood there, until the lecturer left the class. I manage to sight Chekwube on a different seat, I walked to her to know why she didn’t sit in our normal seat, she said someone was sitting there when she entered and she has to look for an empty seat, where the both of us can occupy. As usual, we went out of the lecture hall to get snacks and pepsi, since the next class will commence in 30mins time. As we approached the canteen holding each other’s hands, someone tapped me from behind and I turned to see who the person was. It was Favour. FAVOUR: Lover boy, tell your smalli to leave us (pointing at Chekwube) ME: For what reason if I may ask? Did you lost your manners FAVOUR: Don’t dare me Eli just do as I say ME: You surprise me like seriously, you weren’t like this when we first met. (Chekwube perceiving danger, get loose of her hands from mine and went into the canteen to watch what was going on) FAVOUR: I just don’t know why you are acting childishly, all this heavenly property I’m offering you, you say you don’t like them, and here you are going after lizards that don’t have anything to offer you ME: You just intimidated me before my friend and I won’t take such rubbish from you next time, don’t even think of seeing me as a friend anymore… get off my way you disgust me. (I pushed her off my way and walked in to meet Chekwube) FAVOUR: We shall see. You have stepped on my toe, and it hurt me really bad (she shouted as I walked into the canteen) I was really embarrassed with what Favour did and didn’t bother to eat anything in the canteen, I only bought snacks for Chekwube and we both went into our lecture hall thereafter. Chekwube tried all means to know who Favour is to me, and why she acted that way in public, but I wasn’t in the mood to explain anything to her. After our last class she followed me to my house where we ate together and played WHOT. I called my love RUKKY, to come over and meet Chekwube, who I’ve already told her about when she slept in my house the previous day. Rukky has already planned to see her and also pass the night in my house…. TO BE CONTINUED…………….

EPISODE 22 After an hour, I stood up and went outside to put on the generator. The fuel inside wasn't that much, but it will definitely serve us up to 3hours, I went in as soon as the engine is on and locked the door. Rukky was really down, if she were to be a cell phone I guess her battery bar must have drained to 1%, as I shouted her name trice before she manage to stand up from the bed, I supported her to the bathroom where we took our bath together, and served the fried rice and chicken she came with. I enjoyed the delicious meal, and ate everything after Rukky got tired of eating. I drank a mixture of peak milk and Malta Guinness in other to regain enough strength, and joined Rukky with the hollandia yoghurt, she brought out from the fridge... RUKKY: Baby boo, I'll miss you ME: me too dear RUKKY: are you sure? Immediately she slept off, i remembered someone called my line while I was busy enjoying myself with rukky, working hard on her shawama. I searched for the phone but couldn't found it, i finally saw it under the bed. Its obvious that it must have gotten there, because of our rascal intercourse. I unlocked it and saw 7 missed calls, 5 from Favour, 1 from Jerry and the last one from an unknown caller. I recalled vividly that Lilian number ends with 14, I brought out the piece of paper she gave to me, just to confirm the number and behold it was hers (07062446414). I was surprised to know she has my number already, but its late and I can't call her back, more also Rukky might get mad at me if she gets to know that I'm talking to a girl at that hour. Nature can't be cheated as my eyes started closing even though I tried to make it opened, I decided to call Lilian the next day, after Rukky must have left for warri, so I won't fall into trouble with her. I got hold of Rukky's waist and slept off. - - - - - - - - - SATURDAY It wasn't up to 7 O'clock when Rukky woke me up, I never wanted to leave the bed because my eyes were dimmed, filled with sleep. RUKKY: please wake up dear, I have to start going ME: hmmmmmm! (stretching on the bed) RUKKY: Baby stop na, I planned to follow the first bus and i'm late already ME: Did you just say late? RUKKY: yes dear, please come and see me off to the park I rush out of the bed and went inside the bathroom to brush my teeth, and put on my clothes without bathing. I combed my hair and apply powder on my face, and off we went. Getting to the park the first bus was still there, as they were waiting for the last passenger. I bought the ticket for her and gave her some money to hold hand with. She dragged me somewhere in the park and started kissing me, I felt the kiss emotionally and hold her firm by pressing her a_s_s towards myself. She was really hot and I knew I will miss her alot, I couldn't let go until those loading the vehicle started shouting '"Last passenger with A ticket to warri, you are needed now"' I pleaded for her, to go and join the bus while I arranged my curve7 which was standing at 'ATTENTION'. Even though deep inside me I want more of her, I just have to let go. She went to the bus and sat at the extreme end of the back seat, I bade her farewell as the bus zoom off my sight - - - - - - - - - It really pains me that my girl is gone but we will definitely see each other soon. While in the park, I brought out my phone and dialled Lillian number but it was switched off, I called Jerry and it went through. We talked for almost 7mins before ending our conversation. I got home, took my bath and was about calling chekwube when someone started knocking my door, I went to the door to check who it was and met chekwube smiling at me holding two small bags, one containing her books and the other her clothes... I ushered her in and locked the door. CHEKWUBE: I called Rukky and she told me she is on her way home, so I decided to come and keep you busy ME: you must be a good girl for keeping to your words CHEKWUBE: Why are we friends? ME: I believe your mara Jhoor... We have to start reading oo CHEKWUBE: I've started reading already, I read the two courses we are having on Monday, last night. Didn't you read them too? ME: I wanted to read them oo but but.... (couldn't complete the statement) CHEKWUBE: But you were busy with Rukky shey? ME: Something like that CHEKWUBE: Enjoyment boy... Chekwube dropped her bags and ask me to follow her to the market to get what she will use to cook okra soup, I accompanied her there where we bought stocked fish, meat, okra, vegetables and some other ingredients, before going back home. As soon as we got home she prepared the soup and we ate together. I called Rukky who told me that she has gotten home, but met her dad absent. She pleaded that I talked to her mum on phone but I insisted, since I didn't prepared for such. But promised to do that some other time. - - - - - - - Myself and chekwube engaged in thorough reading, as we study like never before. We brushed up the courses we are having on Monday and Tuesday and threw questions on each other, we went further to lecture each other and finally decided to rest after much studying... EPISODE 23 The house became so boring that we decided to go to any nearest bar, to catch fun before going to the petrol station to get fuel. We got to the bar and ordered for our brands, I took 3 bottles of Heineken with a bottle of Best creamy whine, while chekwube was busy downing just one bottle of Smirnoff ice. CHEKWUBE: Eli, you have taken enough let's leave this place (sipping small quantity of her Smirnoff ice with the straw) ME: I'm not leaving this place until you finish that bottle and order for another CHEKWUBE: Please let it be next time, am not comfortable here ME: Fine let's go but I'm not happy with you, I must confess (I stood up and went to the bar man to pay for our drinks) After paying, I went back to Chekwube and she stood up holding my hands, as we walked out of the bar. We saw three guys entering the bar as we leave, they were staring at me but I pretended as if I didn't take note of them. These guys were different from the first set that attacked me the other day, they look suspicious and dangerous. Its just as if Chekwube knew such guys will enter the bar, what would have happened if they met us there. We left there for the petrol station and bought the fuel we will use that evening. Got home and started watching latest naija musical videos. We postponed our reading to 12mid night and concentrated on the videos we were watching. - - - - - - - - Its just as if its a longer day and a shorter night. After all the activities we engaged ourselves into, it was just 5:47pm. I became a bit hungry and pleaded with Chekwube to get me something to eat, she entered the kitchen to prepare something for me to eat. I collected one chilled VijuMilk from my small student refrigerator to settle with, as I wait for Chekwube patiently. All of a sudden my phone started ringing, I taught it was Rukky as I hastily reach for the phone, but it wasn't Rukky but Lilian LILIAN: Handsome, can you hear me? ME: Yes I can hear you (answering her with a dead voice) LILIAN: Just do as I say okay? ME: okay... LILIAN: Batam and his boys are on their way to your house as am talking to you, his spies just called him that you are at home. So kindly pack any important thing you have within your possession and leave through any back route ME: Oghene!!! migwùrè (shouting Gods name, i'm dead) LILIAN: Did you hear what I just said? ME: Yes, but what are they coming to do? LILIAN: Leave that question for another day and do as I have instructed, if you still love your life (she hanged up) Chekwube came out with the food she prepared, but I asked her to take it back and carry her bags, that we are leaving right away. She insisted, saying we aren't going anywhere, that if we must go out I have to eat because I've been complaining of hunger. I dragged her out after carrying her bags and few of my clothes and locked the door, she starting shouting at the top of her voice that i'm hurting her, I never cared as we dashed off. She was really upset with the manner at which I handled her but I didn't have a rethink since I have my life and hers to save. We ran to the back of the hostel where i pleaded to her, that she should climb the fence. She started asking questions I couldn't answer that moment, 'why can't we pass through the gate?' I promised her that I will answer all her questions as soon as we get to any hotel, but she insisted that we aren't going to any hotel rather we will go to her house. I nodded my head in agreement, she jumped and hold the fence as I supported her by pushing her a_s_s so she can get a better grip of the fence, she successful fell to the other side. I threw the bags over and jumped through. We both pass through the bush and finally get to the road side, where we took a bike and went to chekwube's house.... - - - - - - - - - CHEKWUBE APARTMENT We barely settled down when Chekwube started asking her questions CHEKWUBE: Why all that? ME: If I should explain it will take me days. Let's just relax first (breathing hard and fast) CHEKWUBE: You promised to tell me everything, so i insist you start telling me now ME: I don't know where to start CHEKWUBE: Start from anywhere if possible from the middle ME: You remember that girl at the canteen? (Clearing my throat) CHEKWUBE: Which girl are you talking about? ME: The one who asked you to excuse us the other day CHEKWUBE: Yea, I remembered her ME: She use to be my friend and now she is after me CHEKWUBE: What do you mean by after you? She didn't bring any message from my mum.... (shouting at her) I was so feed up with her questions and blocked my ears as I slept on her bed thinking of what to do next. Chekwube have to wait for me in the class until I returned. I came back and saw Chekwube and my assistant Josiah standing close, they were smiling at each other.... This is the first time i'm seeing both of them talking to each other. Without been told i knew something is going on between them since they seems to be more relaxed as they converse; ME: Wazzup? (Referring to Josiah) JOSIAH: Great sir, I wanted to see you so we can talk about how to discharge our duties as the HOC's ME: You are right but it wont be today because i have a pressing issue to attend to JOSIAH: okay sir, you know you are my boss now oo, please don't forget me ME: I won't forget you, you can call me later in the evening (I gave him my number) JOSIAH: Thanks ME: Sorry we have to go now JOSIAH: No problem, okay chekwube i'll see you tomorrow CHEKWUBE: OK, bye ( that guy must be toasting this girl, well she is not my girlfriend sha, but I won't let any guy use her without any true love attached) We decided to go to my hostel and see things for ourselves, only to get there and found two mobile police van (Hilux) parked outside. There is no way we can turn back since some of the police men were outside and have already sighted us.
