At the swing I am
With the wind pushing it
To and fro I move
As the swing pleases
Lost in the storm

Sitting I watch my home
Crumbling beneath my feet
Then me like a still figure
Mopping at the destruction
Lost in the storm

A place endowed with blessing
With the resources unattended to.
Living in perpetual poverty
The wave swept me off my feet
Lost in the storm

My dearest home
Filled with honey and milk
With its juices flowing unending
Untapped but tapped by foreignersStill I'm lost in the storm

At a place I stayed
Watching the clear massacre of my people
Fund embelzelled to a land over the seas
The feeling of ins'curity overwhelming
Still I'm lost in the storm

On the swing I am
Pondering and meditating:
'O thou my home'
Still lost in the storm on where to start
I decide to fight for my home
Or the storm catches all

Wonderful one odogwu... Now for the question.. the phrase "untapped but tapped by foreigners" The land is our culture and full values and moral treasures of the African society. The foreigners induced insecurity on us, took our way from us and threw it in the trash, now we are watching helplessly as our home crumbles in the shocking waves of westernization. They took advantage of us, imposed their language on us but never bothered to learn ours now ours is struggling to survive in our own society. They took our gods, rich mythological and traditional treasures, they gave us their gods and now ours is lost in our own land. They enslaved us, took us to their foreign land yet here we are. The once beautiful african utopia, rich in culture, stable in morality is now wallowing in the dark and are forced to live under the shadows cast by the west. We need to fight to reclaim our identity and our home. Bishop desmond tutu once said (When the missionaries came to africa, we had the land and they had the bible, they taught us how to pray with our eyes closed when we opened them, we had the bible and they had the land.) Thumbs up flame hope i tried

Johny Odogwu,I hail thee. I must confess,u did marvelously good but hmmm I would make d term broader,my home is nearer than where u took it. If I were to score u,I would give u 60%. U took the term,'HOME',so far. Try again To my boss, coolval, the progenitor of our efficiency in this website,I say a very big thank u. I am highly favoured for a man who seem as a god in this website to stoop so low to comment to this little work of mine. Your confidence bro spurs me on. Thanks to my bosses,Okwuruokarisia1 of Enugu and coolval.

Lol... My home is my deasr country,Nigeria. The idiomatic expression,LOST IN THE STORM,shows how confuse I am at the happenings in my country,,, where I used UNTAPPED BUT TAPPED BY FOREIGNERS draws us back to the colonial era when d white men(BRITAIN nd AMERICA) used us to build their country. History holds it that supply us their weapon of mass destruction while we supply them, cotton, slaves(which we would have used to build our country,Nigeria... Like Johnysky mentioned, they took our culture, forced their culture on us,forced their religion on us,took our treasures like d Benin Art(mouldings) for their museum etc.. We too contribute to d storm,d leaders siphon our money abroad for their good, making us poorer. THE CLEAR MASSACRE OF MY POEPLE and THE FEELING OF INSECURITY OVERWHELMING refers to the boko haram,we don't know the place they would attack next which led to the feeling of insecurity. In my head all these meet which led to the wave sweeping me off my feet showing how confused I am on how to make my country better... Brothers and sisters,I appreciate your efforts so far and I advice us to join hand b'cause just one person can't rebuild our country...

Yeeeeaaah! I got 101% score..lol..!!! Even if mark is dancing on this your question,it won't fall to my side!! I miss road...!!! Is Nigeria realy lost or Nigerian??? Nigeria was a only name, the living in-there were the lost one! Ask Oga Jonathan whether Nigeria is in storm, you will even throw-up when he reply you!!! God isn't magician, HE is a miracle God.. God can't help NIGERIAN unless WE are ready to recieve HIS Help.... GOD can only use Human or something else to perform the miracle... Don't expect the Storm to be over when NIGERIA is nothing but Land Of Sin... I Pray God Perform His Miracle Soon!! Nice Work Dr. Prof. Flames
