LOVE

Nicky took her job seriously because she wanted to earn a good life and then repay her guardian for her kind gestures. When Nicky got to her office, she found a bunch of rose flowers on her desk. She took it up wondering who dropped it and then a note fell from it. After reading the note, she began to ponder on who the possible admirer could be but she couldnt find any so she just accepted the flowers with good mind. Throughout that day, she carried out her duties happily feeling loved and all her colleagues noticed the strange smiles on her face. Days passed and weeks went by but nicky did not get to hear anyting from her secret admmirer but she was too busy to disturb herself with dat until one friday.

One friday about 12:30pm, Nicky was so tired because they had less work to do and she decided to leave the office to a nearby resturant to have lunch. As she was about closing up the director's office, She heard footsteps behind her and she turned to see who it was, to her utmost suprise she saw the most handsome man she has ever met standing before her. She was short of words and they both stood staring at each other in silence untill the young man broke the silence when he asked ''is your director in'' and nicky managed to whisper ''no,he's not on seat''. The gentleman intoduced himself as barrister Richard and they exchanged pleasantries. Richard then confessed that he actually did not come to see the director, but he came to see her and Nicky's heart skipped a beat.

Episode 2 He also told her that he was the one that dropped the rose flowers. Nicky was dumbfounded and richard decided that since she was about leaving for lunch, the could have lunch together. Richard drove to the famous exquisite resturant and ordered a balance lunch for both of them. As they ate, richard professed his love for nicky and he explained that he fell in love with her the day she came to his company to deliver information about the appropiate fabric for an anniversary to his boss. Nicky demanded for time to think about the whole situation and promised to reply him after two weeks. They hurried over their lunch as it was almost past lunch time. He then dropped her off at her place of work and they parted ways.

When nicky got home all that went on in her mind were thoughts of richard. She knew she felt something for him but the question she kept asking herself was ''does he truly loves me'' she thought about it carefully and decided to give it a try. She informed stephanie it and she was advised to follow her heart. After two weeks, richard sent her a message asking that they should meet in the sky gardens later that evening. During the meeting, she gave richard the reply he had expected and he was filled so much joy that he shouted out loud unaware of the attention he was drawing. From that garden, they visited other places and every one aroumd could notice dat they were truely in love. To be continued

Episode 3 Days,weeks and months rolled away and their love blossomed rapidly. They were so in love that they could'nt let each other out of sight for long. Love they say is a beautiful when you are with the right person. **************************** later that year, nicky was sent on a business trip to europe to go and deliver some textile materials amd then purchase more equipments to develop and increase production. On hearing this news, Richard was heartbroken and devastated but he realised that nicky just have to go for the trip and beside it was only one month and he believed he would be able to endure.

Before she left, they both made promises to keep themselves untill they meet again and richard gave her a parting kiss and they separated. It's like hell when the only one you love is far away from you and that was the case for the lovebirds. The first week was unbearable for Richard and everyday seemed like a year. Richard tried to put aside the thoughts of nicky and after much persuasion from friends and colleagues, he decided to bear it and await nicky's return. Till the unexpected happened. To be continued.

Am sorry for not updating. Have been busy with school work

Episode 4 It was soon time for nicky to return and Richard was overjoyed. Her flight was to arrive at the lagos airpot at about 1:00pm that day. Richard had arranged every part of the house, organised a little welcome party and ordered for supply of food from an eatery. After putting everything in place, he decided to have a glimpse of the mid-day news headlines before going to pick Nicky from the airport. While watching the news he checked his wristwatch for the time. He found out dat it was already past nicky's arrival time and just as he was about to hurry out, he heard the T.V presenter announcing a breaking news. It was announced that the flight bearing a particular number which corresponds with the details of the flight nicky boarded, had crashed. Richard could not believe his ears so he decided to leave for the the airport immediately. When he arrived, all informations about the crashed plane were exactly the same. The news shocked him to his bone marrow. Nicky is dead and gone for life. What a pity to be continued

When he got home, he found all hs guests already waiting and he broke the news to them. They were all very sad and rendered their sympathy and condolences before they left. Richard could not believe that he was going to start his life afresh. The constant thought about nicky made him cry and soon became a shadow of himself. Richard mourned nicky for over a year and the constant tears and moody behaviour started affecting his business activities. Once he was told to prepare the company's budget for the next year and because of his mind state, he prepared rubbish. After a while, his boss sent for him and scolded him seriously for silly mistakes he made and threatened to relieve him of his duties if it repeated itself. His boss then gave him 2weeks off to put himself together. During the 2weeks, richard thought about the whole situation and discovered that his tears would never bring Nicky back. It is not easy to let go of someone you cant do a day without. He also thought that it would only cause psychological problems for him which will eventually make him loose his job. He decided to move on with life even though he could not completely erase the thoughts of Nicky from his head. Finally, richard began to build up the pieces of his life together again and decided to move on with life. After 2years he decided to go into relationship again. He met another young lady during a business transaction and started a new relationship with her. Her name was sophia. She was goodlooking and attractive.

Episode 5 Five years later, Richard's new relationship blossomed but he could not forget times he spent with Nicky. Richard and Sophia decided to get married and build their home. They started their plans in ernest. Sophia is a very good lady but Richard still felt something for his former dead girlfriend. He tried his best not to let sophia know that he wasnt really in love with her. He didnt not know if he will get to love again after nicky. She died with a great part of his heart but he knew he had to start a life because age was no longer on his side. It took him a great bold step to propose to sophia. He did not want to disappoint her and he thought his heart will still grow to love her. To him, sophia actually deserves a good man. He took sophia home to meet his parents and a formal introduction was done. Sophia had to take a month leave from office so as to make a good marriage preparation. The comapny decided to recruit another person who will work for the company for the period sophia will be away. Sophia told her husband to be about it so she they decided to go to the office for the briefing.

am sorry for the short episodes. You guyz thanks a lot for the comments. They are my source of inspiration in continuing the story.

Its not easy sha to lose one you love so much in death. Richard tried to move on, but loving Sophia completely is not a possibility. Nicky's body wasn't buried o, it was a crash sha. But she might just surprise us all. Kudos to you, Foluke.

Episode 6 Richard decide to follow sophia for the briefing in her office. Well fate has a way of doing things but can what is the difference between fate and destiny?. When they got to the place of meeting, richard was so suprised to recognise the girl as nicky. He scream,ed and called her nicky but she didnt answer and then introduced herself as Edna. Richard was so sure it was nicky except for the mark she had on her forehead. Sophia did not understand what was going on between her fiance and Edna. She sort for explanation and richard explained everything to her in front of Edna but it seemed that she could not recall anything of such happening to her. They finally settled down to discuss their main purpose of having the meeting After, that day, Richard was no longer himself the plans of the marriage was being delayed by his attitude. He felt the love he had for Nicky opening up afresh within him and he decided to trace Edna and find out more about her. Richard prepared casually one friday morning and left for Edna's working place. Since sophia was already on her way to her state to get the date for the traditional marriage, Ricahed was as free as a bird. He reached Edna's office and monitired her activies closely for a week and dat was when he noticed that she had a fiance who always came to pick her after work. He was heartbroken all over again. Continuation. Edna lived with an elderly couple at the outskirts of lagos. This couple were very rich and they were archeologists. Richard traced her home one day and waited outside. He saw Edna come out of the house with a scarf on her head, with the way she dressed it was obvious she was going to church. He waited till she walked far away and he went towards the house. He knocked and an Elderly woman obviously in her seventies opened the door for him. After exchanging pleasantries with the couple, he enquired abour Edna's identity. After much persuasion, the husband began to narrate how he went on a research and found pieces of aircraft on the floor. He decided to see the crash for himself and when he got to the scene, he met several bodies on the floor and the plane totally destroyed. He took necessary photographs but just as he was about to leave, he heard a cry and turned back to find a lady badly wounded but still alive. He immediately picked her up and rushed her to a nearby hospital. She was in coma for 3months. When she woke up the doctor tried to find out about her family and relatives so that they could send her back to them but all she could recall was the time her flight took off at the airport in Europe. Mr. Sean johnson(the archeaologist) decided to adopt her and take care of her with the permission of his wife. When he brought her home he and his wife discussed about her illness (amensia) and she decided to start up a new life for her. They name her Edna and gave her everything she needed to recover from the injuries. Richard was grateful for the information and then he left.

Episode 7 After that day, richard's behaviour towards sophia changed and it was glaring that she was no longer interested in the marriage. Out of anger and frustration, sophia broke up with Richard and left his house. The break up did not really have any effect on Eric because his mind was on Nicky rather Edna. Richard approached Edna several times hoping she would remember him and return to him but she insisted that she was not Nicky and then introduced her fiance (Evan) to him. Richard felt very bad and decided to give up on Edna. Now that he had left sophia, he was left alone with no one to comfort him. Meanwhile, evan and edna were progressing on their marriage plans and things were going well. They got married and started up their home in a good way. Though Edna was married to Evan she did not find true love with him. He was always too busy with business and times like weekends when he was meant to be with his wife, he found one excuse or the other to leave the house.hmmmmm that moment when you marry the wrong person. Evan grew to be a big bully and even though his wife tried her best to avoid his trouble, he still found a way to beat her up. One day he arrived from work late and Edna had already closed the door and sat on a three seater cushion waiting for his return. When he came back, he knocked twice but she was fast asleep. After the third knock, she woke up and hurried to the door. As she opened the door, he pounced on her shouting and screaming that she had the guts to lock him outside. She tried to explain but he refused to listen. She decided to leave him and retire to bed. Just as she was about to leave, he drew her back with force and she hit her head against the reading stool in the room. She screamed aloud in pains and fainted. To be continued.

Episode 8(Final Episode) After about 20minutes, she recoverd and that came out of her mouth was richard!!!. After full recovery that night, she wondered about everything around her. The house, the person she got married to and everything was strange to her. She made up her mind after getting back the details of everything that had happened to go back to richard. Divorce plans were carried out and they separated. Edna took the address of the couple from evan's wallet and traced them. She told them all that had happened and they rejoiced that she could finally remember everything. She rested for 2days and went in search of richard. She could still remember his house so she went there. When she got there she found him lying lifeless on the ground. She was confused, then she ran out and called a taxi. The driver assisted her to carry him and as they were about to leave the room, she noticed a bottle of poison on the floor. It was then dawned on her that he had attempted suicide. They took him to the hospital and he was immediately taken to the emergency ward. Nicky deposited money for immediate treatment. A week later when richard opened his eyes after being in coma, he was so astonished to find Nicky beside him. They stared at each other and both of them started crying. She explained everything to him and he was happy, he was finally discharged and when they got home, they organised a thanksgiving thanking God for all his mercies and kindneess towards them. Destiny can only be delayed, it cannot be altered. They got married a year after. The End
