Malam Adamu Askira, an Hausa man has has done the unexpected as he writes to Diamond Bank, telling about how their ATM had wrongly dispensed a sum of N30,000 wrongly to him which he intends to return.
In the letter he wrote, he added that the faulty Diamond Bank ATM had been 5,000 anytime a withdrawal of N1,000 was initiated.
A Facebook user with the name Sulaiman Confi posted on Facebook:
“Honesty is the best policy An Abuja based Kanuri Man from Maiduguri, Malam Adamu Askira had returned the some of N30,000.00 erroneously dispensed to him by a @DiamondBankNG ATM in Wuse 2 Abuja.
He also alerted the Bank that the ATM was dispensing N1000 notes as N500 which led to long queue at the ATM.”
He attached the money and thanked the bank in anticipation of receiving it.
This is really a true show of honesty and patriotism. Kudos man
