EPISODE 13 ***CONTINUATION***I came back from the river late by 9:25pm in the evening,,. My mother was extremely unplease with me because i refuse to stay order to escort my Grace... My mother shouted at me,, asking me Where i have been since afternoon while I left my visitor. I Was ashamed as everyone in the compound peep to watch, especially youths like me in the Compound.. Just before they Could end their instructive words we reached the front of the class.. Of course, nobody would hesitate. respectfully, uduak obeyed and So did I."hey..! Carry dis desk for your head make your fellow students put their thights and offerings inside." said one of the seniors.I quickly did what am appointed to do,,, I carried the desk on my head... One thing is you dare not disobey the seniors Command.. And if you being disobeyed you're in a huge trouble with them. My seniors were busy collecting money when my school mom walked into the classroom& everyone stood up to greet as normal. But At that very occasion i was extremely Excited in my heart.. I was actually thinking our saviour has Come.. that Grace would save me the second time. So i thought.. Uduak pleaded But her mother turned and bounced on her.I stood up when i saw the seriousness uduakmother had, i warned concerning her behaviors, i also informed her about the gathering crowd, But she turned and gave me a slapped that made me spin round for 2 minutes.I could see stars of different colours and lines which no ordinary eyes can see.Before i could say lack!, Miss Grace was no way to be found, She actually escaped from uduak mother's hand to save her life.Uduak carried me to my house that day, because i was a little beat blinded.I couldn't see clearly with my eyes due to excessive blows." i'm sorry prince, i shouldn't have informedmy mother that Grace was the actually person who gave us punishment, pls forgive me?" When mymum observes that my face had swollened more more, she shouted distracting all the tenants. I couldn't do anything but relaxing on the soft couch,and watch her shouting untill veins appeared on her neck.Lateron my mother became tired of talking she barge into her room and relaxed herselfon bed, and later she slept off.I moved into my own bedroom and throw myself on the bed, I was still on the foam awoken while thinking about how Uduak mother's silly actions during that afternoon when i got there. By 2:00am in the morning i was hungry, and i headed towards the kitchen to serve myself food to eat, but When i got there it appears that all the pots of food where empties." Na were my mum hide food na?" i said while moving toward the pots storage to searched for food.I opened a pots they appeared cleaned and empty . many absurd thoughts came into my mind that night. I finally headed back to my room, thats how I remembered that my mother did'nt cooked, she abandoned the cooking to take care for me by dressing all my wounds.I slept that morning with empty belle untill when it Was time for breakfast.I haven't forgotten about school for once apart from the few days i spent at home due to the pains my the punishment, But with my injured face i had determinations of attending school. The following week i promised myself to be at school no matter what happens. I reached to school late again, but i was'nt punished because the seniors who were in-charge of post that day saw my swollened face condition without me informing them they understood the huge pains feeling.My walkin movement was damn! terrific, i actually cat-walked to school because i was unable to move well or perfectly.One senior saw the sight of my face, and he interrogated the other senior that was standing close to him."oh boy! Perhaps, i guess she had many things to write. so i'd thought..Emaka at the other hand bent forward to peep other students papers, He was also wet from his face to his waist regions.I actually did my own style, i tried my very best ability to solves answers to the exams questions.Sooner, Mr Akpan walk out of the class pretending to have an emergency meetin with the school staffs, while he hurriedly left the class.As soon as Mr.Akpan stepped out of the class all the students formed their groups tosolve the question. Some students stupidity would have exposed us to the principal, firstly Some were behaving like animals throwing papers, while some showed how idiotic they were by fighting because of an expo piece of paper.Few minutes to stop the test Mr. Akpan didnt returned when Emaka and uduak left their own seat and came to where i sat. CONTINUATION*On saturday morning, i wake up early by 5:30am. I felt dizzy but i still stagger to move straight to my mum's room to bang atthe door.MUM : " Yes!, what is it ?"ME : " Good morning mum, ehrmm...
