My Pastor Justified Taking Another Wife With Scripture, Is He Right?

By Debeloved87(m)

My pastor's marriage crashed last year, though the marriage produced children and the parting seems unreconcilable even thou i think it fell on domestic issues and also the fact that the wife doesn't really flow with the pastoral call of the husband as her pastor husband wish her to.
Recently the man of God was talking about it and he said that he will take a new wife very soon anytime he is ready, and he ask us whether its scriptural but we just giggled and he told us that it is scriptural that we should open the book of
1 corinthians 7:14-15 "for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband, else where your children unclean but now are they holy; but if the unbelieving depart, let him depart, a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases:but God has called us to peace...

This actually was a little bit confusing to me, since the wife in question wasn't an unbeliever...

Is my pastor right with his assertions?

Hmmmmm, ah dnt tink dat scriptural passage he quoted is justified enuf to take anoda wife.. in fact, i still dnt tink no scriptural passage will eva b justified enuf as far as d wife is still alive, besides even if she's an unbeliever it still doesnt mata, she bore him children, dey had sm unresolved issues, she walked away, bla bla bla.. d qstn nw is, as a minister of d gosple of Christ, wat effort hv he done to reconcile wit hs wife n bring her bck hme? d point am tryn to mk here in a nut shell is, weda she refuse cumin bck, as far as she's nt dead bt still vry much alive he jux cnt take any oda woman to even b hs mistress let alone marry her n wat i said is affirmatively biblical as said by apostle paul to d pple of corinthians.. dats my candid take pls!

divorce is a sin. getting married to a divorcee is also a sin. getting married after divorcing ur spouse is a sin as well. (forgotten the passage in the bible though). a real man of God must ask God for a wife n not marry any woman. if he actually asked God for a wife, how come she doesn't support his pastoral call or not anymore? what ur pastor is doing is 100 n 100% wrong! no vex.

One thing l hv noticed is dat some ppl tend to interpret or lemme say twist bible passages to commensurate their actions wich is wrong.....pls dnt be deceived, divorce is a sin and notin in this world or beyond can justify it! So becareful nd avoid it before it becomes late. I still believe dat a broken relatnshp is better than a broken marriage
