I sat in my room holding a cup of soaked garri 'what the heck is even happening in this country' I thought as I took a spoonful of the garri mixed with sugar and peanuts. 'Our president refused to return to the nation, ASUU contemplating strike, my girlfriend want to retouch her hair, I need foodstuff and I am pennyless' I subconsciously listed all my problems. Taking another spoonful from the cup I heard a knock on my door "open this door joor" I heard Victor one of my neighbor said before knocking again 'oh my precious Garri' I thought as I quickly hid the cup inside the box I kept my well ironed clothes. Victor is a kind of guy you will not pray to meet you eating because of his past records.
"No tell me say you just dey wake up oh" he said immediately I opened the door for him
"No vex Jere" I said wondering what he his looking for this early Saturday morning
"You no get maggi" he said after checking where I used to keep it
"I no get" I said hoping he will just go away so that I can continue with my garri
"You know say ASUU go hold meeting tomorrow" he said taking a sit while I kept noding my head like an Agama lizard
"E be like say that Cynthia don't get belle o, abi you no see as she dey spit everywhere"
.."ehn ehn, you know say that... He was about saying before I cut him off
"Make you dey go joor, my babe dey come today and I wan do some cleaning" I said pushing him out of the room
After securely locking the door I went to open the box only to see a scene that draws water (I mean the salty one) out of my eyes.
MY PRECIOUS GARRI has spilled, not only that but; spilled on my PRECIOUS CLOTHES.

Hahaha. Na God punish you be that. Wait oo. I come dey remember my experience back at school. I was only have like 1 hand full of garri and if I eat it in the morning, I will have to go hungry in the evening. Do you know what i did? I mixed the garri with sugar and water, left it for like 5 minutes for it to rise. I added water to it again and started eating it. When I was halfway done, I left it again for like 3 minutes for it to rise. I added a third batch of water and this time around, the garri was as soft as porridge. Hahahahah. I still remain....
