Paul and Dattar were just settling in, the foreplay was intense, with deep kissing and tongues massaging each other. Dattar’s top was off, leaving her with only her bra which was filled with her thick and heavy breasts.
Never love a stranger Episode 1
She was indeed endowed with beauty. At the sight of her wonderful curved body, Paul couldn’t just help it. He buried his face in between her breast and began licking it through. Dattar was already on top of it. That was her soft spot, Paul had just hit a jackpot. She gave him all that a man will need in bed. The love making was one of the best Dattar ever had. Long lasting foreplay and to top it all, they both climaxed together.
She wanted more and more of him, Paul was also up for it. With the room chilled by the air-conditioner, they made every single minute count. It was as if they had long known each other however, this was their first time of meeting each other.

Dattar and Paul had bumped into each other at the shopping mall and right there and then, they clicked. To Dattar, Paul had everything she wanted in a man. He was tall, dark, and handsome and from his appearance one could tell that he was “damn” swimming in riches and wealth.
He paid for every single thing that Dattar bought and even offered to drive her home. Dattar was a car freak. Even though she didn’t know how to drive nor did she own a car, she could tell the brand of a car from a long distance. Paul was driving a recent model Bentley Continental GT special edition. Bentley had just recently released this model and it was rumored that only four people in the whole country had the model.
It all started in the car, there wasn’t much talking as they both knew what they wanted. The route to Dattar’s house changed as they drove to the Golden Tulip hotel to get the Gladiator games started.
Paul was just 24 years old but financially, he had already acquired what some men double his age could only dream of. Spending money was what he liked doing best. Dattar believed she had finally found the man she always dreamt of. They both just went with the flow and enjoyed themselves all through the night.

Sometime during the night after a long period of intercourse, they took a pause
“Wow, I can’t believe I really did this” Dattar said.
“What if I may ask” Paul asked.
“I just had sex with a guy I don’t even know his name” She answered.
“Everything happens for a reason. My name is Paul” He said.
“Dattar” She mentioned her name.
Paul got up and sat on the edge of the bed. He buried his face in his hands looking quite remorseful.
“Is everything alright?” Dattar asked.
Without saying a word, Paul stared at her and then he went on top of her and they began all over again. Just when Dattar thought she couldn’t take it anymore, she climaxed.
Right after, Paul did something unique that got Dattar loving him even the more. So gentle of him, Dattar thought. He took a white handkerchief and cleaned her up. No man she had ever slept with had ever done that for her before. By that simple yet remarkable gesture, she thought to herself that Paul was really in love with her.
The night was young for them. Now, Dattar wanted to know Paul. She wanted to know everything about him. She was hoping she could build a future with him but as to if that was the intention of Paul, only the gift of time will tell.
They finally got to sleep in the early hours of the morning. They were really exhausted from all the activities of the night leading to them sleeping into deep morning.

Sometime late into the day, Paul ’s phone started buzzing he was however too deep in sleep to hear it. Dattar was a lighter sleeper and She was awakened by the steadfast buzzing.
“Paul, get up. You have a phone call” She reached out softly and shook him up.
By this time, the phone had stopped buzzing. Paul picked it up and noticed it was from his mother. He immediately called back but it was his younger sister who picked up the phone call.
“Hey Tawa, what is it, where is Mum” Paul asked.
“We are at the general hospital, her situation got worse” Tawa answered.
“Can I talk to her” Paul asked.
The phone went quiet as Tawa tried handing the phone to her mother. Suddenly Paul heard his mother shouting at the other end.
“I won’t talk to him. He is the devil. Tell him to stay away from me.” Paul ’s mother shouted out to his hearing. It was obvious that she wanted him to hear her.
Paul didn’t bother holding on any longer, he angrily hung up the phone call.
“Is everything alright” Dattar asked seeing how worried Paul looked as he had hung up the call.
“Look, don’t pretend you are the caring type yeah. Because this thing we have, ends right here in this room. Dress up and let’s get going.” Paul said.
Dattar was stunned by Paul ’s words. She couldn’t believe what she had just heard.
“What? She asked.
Paul took out a large bundle of notes in cash and threw it at her on the bed.
“You think I’m a prostitute or what? What do you take me for?” She got upset and began shouting at him.
“You can talk all you want or leave the money here, I don’t really care anyway” Paul said as he was dressing up.
“I will be waiting for you at the car park” he said again and quickly left in her in the room.

Dattar was in shock at the swift transformation from a kind gentle and romantic Paul to the guy who just had this exchange with her. Everything about him had changed and was so different as if he was indeed another person. Dattar wondered at what had gone wrong. She felt it had something to do with the phone call. As it was, she had no option than meet Paul at the car park as he had said.
Paul immediately drove out from the hotel. It was indeed a long ride as they both were very quiet on the way. Dattar was expecting Paul to drive her home but to her surprise he didn’t even ask of the direction to her house. After a while, she had to ask,
“And where are we going if I may ask” Dattar asked.
“Taking you to where I found you” Paul answered her.
The statement was enough to make Dattar know that she had really made a very big mistake about this guy. She went very quiet and shut her thoughts up to herself. Soon they arrived at the shopping mall where they had met the previous day and once she got out of the car, Paul drove off without a word.
Never love a stranger – Episode 1
Dattar felt like an object, a worthless object. She felt used as she watched Paul drive away in his expensive car. At this point, she had no other option than to board a cab home.
She quickly stopped a cab and set off on her way home without wasting any time. She sat at the back of the cab in deep thought playing back events from the past day while asking herself what had gone wrong. She shook herself out to warn the driver about his over speeding. Just as she was raising her head and opening her mouth, she heard a scream from the driver followed by a bang and darkness. The car got involved in a fatal accident in which she died

episode 2 Just as she was raising up her head and opening her mouth, she heard a scream from the driver followed by a bang and darkness. The car got involved in a fatal accident in which she died Dattar was gone for good. There was no turning back the hands of time. Her life was completely over and there was nothing anyone could do about it. She spent her last moments with a guy she barely knew and ended up being treated like trash and that was it. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 2 Paul was the eldest in his family followed by Tawa his young sister. His family wasn’t a wealthy one as you may think. Their father died when they were both quite young. Following his death, their mother catered for them through her petty trading. Sometimes, they had to join her on the streets to make ends meet before going on to school. Right after High school, Paul left his family in search of greener pasture. How he ended up getting rich in such a short time without any visible legitimate source of income was what drove his mother’s love away from him. Just after a month of Paul leaving home, his mother, accidentally fell heavily on the ground, wounding her foot. Following the incident, his mother was left paralyzed. Furthermore, she incurred a huge wound on her foot which refused to heal despite all the medical care it was subjected to. They tried both orthodox and unorthodox medicine but neither western drugs nor African herbs could cure her. Rather, his mum was left in constant pain. Paul tried to take care of her needs but the more he tried, the more his mother pushed him away from her. She chose to take nothing from him and warned her daughter – Paul’s sister to do same. So despite the wealth of her son, she continued with her petty trading and ensured her daughter Tawa helped her out with the trading. After dropping off Dattar, Paul mustered enough courage and went to the hospital where his mother was admitted. He avoided his mother, made contact with Tawa and paid all the bills without his mother knowing. He then gave Tawa enough money to cater for their mother’s needs and right afterwards he left the hospital premises. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 2 Meanwhile, Jonah and Sule his friends had been waiting for Paul at Jonah’s apartment. Like him, they were mysteriously very rich. Paul, however got there after an hour. “Paul, you really don’t respect time you know, we were supposed to meet here over an hour ago” Sule queried him. “I am really sorry guys. I had to renew my quota” He said. As he mentioned that, Jonah and Sule burst out laughing, however Paul seemed distant. “Paul, Paul, the way you have been renewing lately, you may end up buying half the city.” Jonah said. “Tell us about it, how was she” Taking a deep breath, he began talking. “She was Dattar, very pretty though. I met her at the mall and trust me the sex was really good.” Sule was very much excited about what Paul said “Anyway, hope you did it” He asked. “Of cause, how can I forget” Paul said. He then took out the white Handkerchief he used on Dattar when they were having sex. Right there and then, Jonah gave him a key to a room. Paul walked to a door somewhere inside the house. When he opened the door, he had to adjust his eyes as the place was dark. The room was quite bare and the only occupant of the room was a black pot in the center of the room. He walked to the pot and dropped the handkerchief in it. There were several other handkerchiefs inside the pot to the point that it almost looked as if the pot would overflow with the handkerchiefs. You are reading Never Love a Stranger – Episode 2 This was their source of their wealth. The more they had sex with ladies, the richer they got. Little did they know that these ladies died within 24 hours of their liaisons. Dattar was just one of the numerous ladies Paul had slept with. They blinded young ladies with money and once they had their way with them, that was the very end of those ladies. Paul’s mother, however had a very good reason not to trust her son. She had been made the sacrificial lamb for Paul’s wealth. As long as she continued to remain paralyzed and the wound remained fresh on her, Paul would continue living. The plight and pain of his mother was the source of his life. The substance from the ladies on his handkerchief was his source of money. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 2 Paul looked innocent and was really respected at Church because of his wealth. He was often used as a model of charity and exemplary life to the youth of the congregation largely because he was a major contributor any time there was a church harvest. He was held in high regard by several people. He freely gave to people who needed help. Yet unknown to them, anyone who asked him for financial support ended up incurring more debt after he lent them money.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 3 By the end of high school, Paul was daunted by the challenges that seemed ahead of him. He wanted more out of life than life seemed ready to offer him. He was simply tired of the life of poverty he had grown up with. Hawking morning and evening, just so they could eat, going home to share a one room hovel with his mother and sister – it just seemed too much. By the time Paul had finished high school, he was ready to do anything to make money. While on this search for wealth, he ran into Audu and like they say… the rest is history. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 3 It was another day for their renewal and once again, an innocent soul would be sacrificed at the altar for their riches. Jonah and Sule called up Paul to meet them at the shopping mall where they normally would pick up their prey (ladies). In no time, Paul had arrived and to his surprise, his friends had already hooked him up with a gorgeous lady. Along with the two other ladies who were with Jonah and Sule, they all sat down to have lunch. It was indeed a fun one; little did the three ladies know that it was actually their last lunch. The table was filled with food and lots of drinks as the ladies kept ordering and the guys kept paying which was actually not a problem for them. Just after they were done, Jonah and Sule went to their various apartments with their ladies and so did Paul and his prey, Rosie. The sex wasn’t any different from that with Dattar however at the end of it all he made sure he wiped her off with a white handkerchief. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 3 Rosie went home the following morning with her hand bag full of the cash she got from Paul. She was really happy because finally she thought she had met the guy who would be able to cater for her and her 4 years’ old baby boy. It had been difficult for her to pay for her son’s school fees, since she was unemployed. The father of the child was nowhere to be found. He promptly disappeared after impregnating Rosie and no one had heard from him since. Ever since, Rosie had been playing the roles of father and mother to her child. She lived with her mum who would chip in once in a while to help out with child support. Upon getting home, she met her mother doing the dishes and her child fast asleep. “Rosie, why didn’t you come home, last night” Her mother shouted at her. “You better grow up young girl, you have a son to take care of, I won’t be around all the time” Rosie looked at her and smiled. she reached into her purse and brought out the thick wad of notes Paul had given her. You can just try imagine the excitement that came on her mother’s face as she looked at the money and tried mentally to calculate its value. “Where did you get that my daughter” Her mother asked. “Let just say, for now, we have nothing to worry about. I just met your in-law” She said. Her mother stood in amazement at the sight of so much money. It was the most money the poor woman had ever seen in one spot. She stood there stunned as she calculated all they could began to do with all that money. She was so overwhelmed that she became silent and had nothing more to say. “Let me take a shower and come tell you all about it” Rosie said and went to her room. She got undressed and took her things to the small single shower that was the only other room in their tiny house. Her face was full of smiles as she passed her mum and entered the shower. Her mother continued doing the dishes now with a song on her lips and a dance step that indicated her joy. She could barely wait for her daughter to come out of the shower and feed her with the good news. Suddenly she heard her daughter scream in pain. She rushed to the bathroom and met her daughter lying naked on the bathroom floor bleeding profusely from the head. While bathing, Rosie had slipped on a bar of soap and hit her head on the tap. By the time her mum got to her, it was too late, Rosie was stone cold dead. Another innocent life was lost, the news was the same with the ladies that left with Jonah and Sule. Paul and his friends grew richer as they kept sleeping with different ladies but everything that has a beginning surely must have an end. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 3 It was a Sunday and Paul was already late for Church. He was in a hurry as he rushed into his car and drove off to church. Upon arriving at the Church’s parking lot, he ran into Chantal who was also coming out of her vehicle. That was her first time at Paul’s church. Paul’s eyes met hers as she came out of the vehicle and her sheer beauty got him standing still. He remained in his car stunned well after she had gotten out of the car and started walking into the church. Chantal was nicely slim but very shapely, fashionably dressed with beautiful black natural hair. She had on a hair style that accentuated her face and brought out her best features. Her skin tone was just perfect. Her lips were what got his attention. They were full and pouty with just the right kind of nice. Paul couldn’t take his eyes off her. He was smitten so badly that he basically just starred at her. For the first time in a very long while, he was suddenly nervous around a lady. He found himself amazed and surprised at his own reaction. Talking to ladies came easy to him, more so since his newly found wealth. He quickly got out of the car and followed her as she walked majestically into the church. Fortunately, there was an empty seat right beside where she sat. Paul took advantage of that and sat beside her. Throughout the church service, Paul was completely distracted. He kept starring at Chantal from the corner of his eye and hoping she will notice him. Before he knew it, Church was over. Usually Paul will stay around for a while, chit chatting with other church members. This time around though, it was different, He followed Chantal who left the Church just after the final prayer was said. She immediately got into her car and drove off and so did Paul. From a distance he followed her all the way to her apartment. Chantal was a very smart lady, she had already noticed that Paul was following her. She parked just outside her house and from the driving mirror she noticed Paul had also parked his about two houses away from her house. Finally, Paul mustered enough courage to approach her. He got out of his car and went towards her while she was still sitting in her car. As he got close to her, Chantal got out of her car and there she was standing face to face with Paul. To Be continued.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 4 Chantal was ready for him, She had an interest in what Paul had to say. His flashy appearance didn’t move her at all. Unlike all other girls, his charms were lost on her. She just wasn’t interested. Paul was stunned while looking at her, he felt like a moth attracted to a fire and was completely lost for words. For some reasons, this lady seemed to sap all words out of him. He was just not himself, he couldn’t understand what was happening to him. He was very nervous, felt out of place yet felt compelled to talk to her. He stood there looking at her with no words coming from him. Suddenly, Chantal realizing the awkward silence had to break the ice. “Excuse me, Can I help you” She asked. Paul gazed at her lips gently moving as she began talking. That was all he could focus on. He was so lost that he wasn’t hearing anything that She said. “If you have nothing to say, please move out of my way, I am in hurry” Chantal said jingling her car keys in her hands. Paul came back to his senses and noticed that he was making a big fool of himself. He then mustered the courage and began talking. “I’m sorry, please forgive me. I was a bit distracted. A bit is an understatement, I was…. never mind. My name is Paul, I happen to be in the same church as you.” He said. “And…” She replied looking very impatient. Paul was dumfounded. He just didn’t know what next to do. It had been quite a long time he had last found himself in this situation if ever. He didn’t know whether to stop or to continue. He felt like being there and at the same time running away. He knew he was making a huge fool of himself but sadly, he couldn’t help himself. Chantal’s response made things worse for him. She sure wasn’t about to make it easy for him. Her response made Paul to feel even more nervous than he was already. He knew he had better have something more profitable to say or else, he surely knew that, this encounter wouldn’t end well for him. “Ermm, was wondering if you were in the choir” was what he found himself saying. you are reading Never Love a Stranger – Episode 4 Where did that come from he wondered to himself? That definitely wasn’t him. The fear, the nervousness, all showed on his face now, as he knew that what he had just said was way out of the line. He himself wasn’t in the choir and it was obvious that she was quite new in church. The church wasn’t that big and he knew almost everyone. This was definitely the first time he was seeing her. Just as he said those words, Paul heaved a sigh. This was definitely not what he drove all the way to her house for. This wasn’t going his way. He braced himself as he waited for the onslaught of words he was sure his response would provoke. “And what if I am in the choir, what happens next, I suppose, you will ask me to come to your house for rehearsal? That is, if you are the choir master, which I know you are not because you were also sitting among the audience like myself. So what are you really trying to say? Please say it and it had better be reasonable.” Said Chantal looking quite indignant and impatient. This was definitely not the response Paul was expecting. It was as if she had spat directly on his face. He knew this was not going on well yet he wasn’t ready to give up. If it didn’t go well today, then it sure will some other day. There is always a shiny day after the big storm. “Reasonable, I …I …just” He began to fumble. Wow!! Something like this had never happened to him in his entire life. He prided himself on being a lady’s man. He had his own way of talking to ladies and fumbling was never in his books. What is so special about this girl that he couldn’t be himself? What was it that was happening to him he thought to himself. This is Never Love a Stranger – Episode 4 Chantal now thought to herself that, this was really wasting her time. She had come off a long week and had barely made it to church. She had been looking forward to going home for a quick shower and a long refreshing nap. She wanted to refresh and go over some documents before Monday, and here was this guy before her, wasting her precious time. She was so upset that she was about to unleash a barrage of words and tongue lash him. However as she decided to shut him down and get going, her phone began ringing. She eyed Paul, took the phone call, turned to her car and locked it. She left Paul standing where he was and continuing with her call, walked into her apartment. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 4 Paul stood there watching her as she walked away. This was another first for him. The first time a woman would be walking be walking out on him. He usually was the one playing this role but he now found himself on the other side and it wasn’t pleasant at all. For once he began to feel how the other ladies he had dumped must have felt. On a typical day, Paul wouldn’t have taken this lightly but at the very moment, he blamed himself for her actions. Paul was swaying away from the real him without knowing. He stood there like a fool for a while and then he walked back to his car and drove off. He may have driven off, Chantal may have walked out on him but thoughts of her took over his mind as he drove to back to his apartment. He kept thinking about her the more. Everything about her just different. He knew he had to find a way to get her attention. He realized that he had finally found the woman he could take home to see his mother. This was the lady he would one day love to marry. At this point like an Indian love movie, Paul began building love castles in the air. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 4 On the other side of town, Paul’s mother had been discharged from the hospital and was back at home. The wound was still deep on her leg and she was still in deep pains. The doctors were indeed baffled at it’s cause as they had no explanation for it. She was however healed from the threatening condition she was brought in for. That day, the woman was quite sad within her. Her sadness was very palpable and obvious to anyone looking at her. It was so obvious that Tawa her daughter became worried. She tried to ignore it but she eventually had no other option than to ask and find out what it was that was bothering her mum so. “Mum, what’s wrong? Your attitude lately is getting me worried. I know there is a lot think about, but God is in control. I know you will be well.” She said. Her mother looked at her and tears began running down her cheeks. “My daughter, I’m sorry for putting you through this, I just can’t help it. I’m not worried about my condition. After all, I have seen it all in life. I have nothing else to live for. I’m worried about this family especially for your brother. I feel there is something big and terrible about to befall this family. A tragedy that we may not be able handle. I feel it’s very close and it’s right there knocking at our door” She said. One thing Paul’s mother was noted for in the entire community was her weird prophecies. Somehow her prophecies always seemed to comes to pass. Her daughter immediately became alarmed and apprehensive at her words. to be continued …

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 5 Paul kept observing Chantal from a distance and anytime he saw her at church. He never took his eyes off her and never once did he stop thinking about her. However, because of the way his first encounter with her went, he found it difficult to summon the courage to try a second time. Each time he walked towards her, his strength failed. Several weeks later, Paul was driving through town when he met Phoebe walking down the road. He instantly knew that she was his next target and unlike Chantal, he didn’t have any difficulty approaching her. He quickly stopped and offered her a ride to wherever she was going. Phoebe didn’t hesitate at all. She was overly impressed by the model of Paul’s car. That alone and the fact that it was a 2016 edition was enough for her to jump into his vehicle as if these alone gave the owner legitimacy. It was a long drive to Phoebe’s destination yet Paul was ready to even go even beyond her destination. He knew what he wanted and until he got it, he wasn’t going to give up. He was ready to go to the extreme to get it. “Seems we have a long way to go, why didn’t you go to the bus station because that’s the only way you would have gotten a vehicle to your place” Paul asked. “Would you have met me if I had gone to the main station?” she responded. Paul looked at her and right there, she knew Phoebe was the daring type. “Well…” Paul said. “Well, I was waiting for someone like you to do me this favor and trust me, it didn’t even take five minutes for that to happen” Phoebe said. She was actually waiting for this. Indeed, she was really daring and outspoken. This made it easier for Paul to get what he wanted. They talked to each other and got to know each other while on the long drive. All of sudden, they began talking naughty and a bit intimate. “Well, I’m not really the sex type, however I enjoy it and put in my all when the time comes” She said. “Then I suppose your guy really understands you” Paul said. “My guy? Well he hasn’t proposed to me yet because he is busy driving me home now.” She said. Paul’s face lit up immediately and there and then, he pulled the car over. “Has your guy stopped the driving now?” Paul asked wanting to be sure if Phoebe was actually referring to him. She laughed and looked straight into his eyes. “Probably, he thinks this is the time for him to propose to me and yes, he just pulled over” She answered. It was obvious now; Paul knew she was definitely talking about him. “Well, do you also know that this guy of yours only proposes with a kiss?” Paul asked. “That sounds interesting. Well I’m eager to see what he’s got” She said. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 5 At that point, he gently drew his face close to hers and planted a kiss on her lips. She didn’t draw back but instead pushed her face into his. As they became more passionate and involved, Paul rolled the car seat back, making way for Phoebe to come on top of him. Right there and then, they had very intense sexual intercourse in the car. The unusual nature of the environment heightened the pleasure for them. The sex-in-car experience was a first for both of them. Again, Paul didn’t forget to use the white handkerchief on her during the intercourse. Even though the “AC” was on, they were all sweaty after the act. “That was really unexpected.” Paul said as they finished and settled back in their seats. “That’s just my way of accepting my boyfriend’s proposal. This is my number.” Phoebe said. She reached for Paul’s phone and dialed her number. They continued the journey right afterwards. “Can you drop me off at the next junction? I will be okay there” She said. Paul went ahead and pulled over at the next junction just as she said. Phoebe thought, she had gotten a new boyfriend and things do happen for a reason. They may have had sex the very first day and a few minutes after they met yet she thought it was real and something worth committing to. They exchanged kisses as Paul was getting ready to go. She was looking forward to seeing her so-called new boyfriend again. She stood and watched as Paul drove off at top speed. Already, Phoebe was crazy about him. The sex was great and she hoped their relationship would be great. Just as she was about crossing the road to the other side, an oncoming vehicle driving at top speed ran into her and knocked her down. As if that wasn’t enough, the driver was in a hurry to get away to avoid being mobbed by the residents. As a result, he ran over Phoebe’s legs and this made her situation more critical. People who witnessed the accident immediately gathered around and quickly put her in a car but before they could get her to the hospital, she had given up the ghost. Phoebe was gone for good. … To Be continued.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 6 Soon it was time to hang out with the guys. They had fun as they talked on about their progress in life. Sule and Jonah rattled on about the ladies they had been with and together they shared a toast towards more encounters and more money. Somewhere along the line, they noticed that Paul seemed a bit distant. They caught him out on several occasion lost in deep thought like one who was there and yet not with them. “Hey guy what seems to be the matter, you should be happy, what’s wrong?” Jonah asked out of concern. “Guys there is something I need to tell you.” Paul said. Jonah and Sule went quiet in anticipation as they waited impatiently for him to say whatever he had to say. “There is this girl I met at church over two weeks ago. I just can’t keep calm around her. Anytime I try to approach her, I just lose my self. I don’t know but there is something so different about her. I think I am in love with her.” Paul said. Sule began laughing at him so hard that it caught the attention of other people who were around. “Hey what’s so funny about this, this is not a joke” Paul uttered. He was beginning to now get irritated with Sule’s annoying behavior. “Take it easy ok. Look, women are all the same, just show her a little of what you got and she will crawl into your bed in no time.” Sule said. “I’m sure with the way you are talking about her she is really going to be worth more than any of the other girls. She will bring you more money.” He continued and kept laughing. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 6 Sule’s words got Paul thinking the more. He thought to himself that when he finally succeeded in going out with Chantal, it would be a clean and healthy relationship and not for the ritual. He decided there and then that he wouldn’t use a white handkerchief on her. This was for love and for keeps. He however kept all his thoughts to himself and pretended to mingle with the boys. He however couldn’t wait to get away from them. For strange reasons, he was finding their company tonight unusually annoying. All they seemed to talk about were women, booze and money. He suddenly wanted more out of life than this. For once he began to question the life he had found himself in. Soon the hangout thankfully came to an end and they all parted ways to their various apartments. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 6 The next Sunday was a family day at Church and the entire congregation gathered at the church premises after service for family games and socialization. Paul had taken up most of the cost so he was given special recognition upon his arrival. That day he had made up his mind to be brave and approach Chantal. During the festivities, he looked everywhere, hoping to see Chantal but she was nowhere to be found. He walked round the Church compound and saw that her car was parked at the parking lot yet she was nowhere to be seen. He went closer to the car and to his surprise saw Chantal sitting down on the floor beside her car, looking very sad. Paul went closer to her, observed her for a while and then he sat on the floor together with her. “What do you think you are doing” Chantal asked him before he could think of saying anything. “You have your car to sit in, but for you to be seated right here on the floor, makes me wonder what has gone wrong” Paul said. For the first time, he was able to get her attention. Suddenly he had been able to muster the courage he needed to answer her accordingly. Chantal was quite for a while. You need not ask how she was faring; her appearance alone spoke volumes. you could tell that everything was not well. “You know what, if you don’t mind, let’s go for a drive. I’m sure it will ease you a bit.” Paul suggested. Chantal thought to herself that Paul was probably right, she sure needed some sort of distraction. She was ready to go on a drive with him. Her silence signified consent; she didn’t need to answer him or say anything. Paul stood up and went to bring is car. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 6 Chantal got into the car when it came around and off they went. They took a drive round the area, just exploring the serene environment. It was Paul’s moment and time. His moment of getting closer to Chantal. The moment he had always dreamed of. “May I know your name” Paul asked. Chantal looked at him and shook her head. “Why, what’s wrong” Paul asked her. “Why ask my name when you already know it” She said. She was right. Paul knew her name. She must have also known that Paul had been trying to get close to her but she had closed up and refused to give him a chance. She didn’t want the distraction. “Don’t you think it’s better I got it from the horse’s own mouth” Paul answered. All of sudden, he was on top of his game and was answering every question Chantal asked as if he had already prepared for it. “It’s Chantal” She answered “And yours?” “I suppose you already know my name” Paul threw her question back at her. “Perhaps, it will be best if I heard it from the horse’s own mouth” Chantal said using the exact same words Paul had used. “You can call me Paul” He answered. They went on and on and the conversation became more enlightened. For a moment, Chantal seemed to have forgotten her worries and was enjoying his company. Paul on the other hand was just having the greatest moment in his entire life as he got to know Chantal the more. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 6 He didn’t want it to end there, he wanted more. How time flies when you are with one you love and are comfortable with. They finally had to head back to the church premises but this time they had smiles on their faces and Paul was looking all happy and content. They got to the church premises and he drove to her car. As she made to get down, her eyes fell on a lady’s clutch purse in the side pocket of Paul’s car. The bag had an unusual color and looked familiar to her. “Whose is this” She quickly asked picking up the clutch purse. Paul thought that she was just being insecure and indirectly asking him if he had a girlfriend. “It’s just some random girl I met some days back. I think she may have left it after I offered her a lift.” Paul answered. Chantal didn’t wait to hear the last part of his words. She had already opened the purse and was rifling through the contents as if she was looking for something. She pulled out an ID card from inside the bag and sighed as if speaking to herself. “This purse belongs to Phoebe” She said. “Yeah, that’s her name. Do you know her” Paul asked. Chantal looked at him and tears began rolling down her cheeks “She is my late sister” Chantal revealed.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 7 Paul was stunned at Chantal’s words. He couldn’t believe that the lady he had slept with was Chantal’s sister. “How did she die” Paul asked her. “She had an accident; a car knocked her down just four days ago. She was actually on an errand from me.” Chantal broke into tears. Paul gathered from her words that, it was right after he had dropped her off that the incident happened. He had grown to love Chantal so much that he didn’t want to hurt her or anyone close to her. He only hoped that Phoebe’s death had nothing to do with him. But the circumstances and manner of her death raised some suspicions within him of his involvement. “I’m very sorry Chantal… “Paul said trying to sympathize with her. “I have to go” She said and went into her car. As much as Paul was happy about the day, the news of Phoebe’s death came as a really big shock to him. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 7 It wasn’t something he expected and little did he know that he was actually the cause of her death. Paul quickly drove to Sule’s end; he wasn’t pleased about what was going on. He knew it couldn’t just be coincidental for Phoebe to die just after he had dropped her off. He somehow felt he was responsible for what had happened and needed answers. He got to Sule’s place and met him lying recklessly on a sofa with a bottle of whiskey in his hand. Nothing really seemed to be his problem. So far as he was earning the money that he wanted, all other things ceased to matter to him. Paul barged in looking very worried and stern. “Sule, get up and sit down, we need to talk” Paul said. “Why wouldn’t you just allow me have my good time. What is it Paul, what is it, this time around? Sule said. Sule looked very disheveled. He had been drinking and smoking for a while and smelt like he hadn’t had a bathe in some days. Paul almost walked away but he was rather bent on getting answers to the questions troubling him. “There is something going on that I don’t get, what happens to the ladies when we renew our commitment with the handkerchief? Paul asked. “why do you care so much, that shouldn’t be our problem” He said. Paul was getting irritated with his answer. Sule wasn’t taking him seriously. “You were the one who introduced us to Baba, just answer my question before things get out of hand” Paul angrily said. Sule took the bottle of whiskey, stood up and walked around the room. He could hardly stay on his feet as he was quite drunk. “I’m surprised you are asking this question, you needed money and you have it. Yours is to just use the handkerchief on them, who cares about what happens to them? Anyway, they are just random girls” Sule said. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 7 Paul was looking for answers – he was not getting any from Sule. From the way Sule was hedging, he realized there was a whole lot more to this matter than they knew; Sule was hiding something from him. He would need to apply some force and pressure to get Sule to talk. Paul rushed in on him, grabbed the bottle of whiskey and smashed it on the wall. Sule had never seen such rage in Paul’s eyes before. “You better start talking before I smash in your face just like I did the bottle” Paul threatened him. Sule now was fed up with Paul’s attitude. As far as he was concerned Paul was overreacting and needed to be put his place. Sule decided that it was time Paul knew the full truth behind their prosperity. “Paul why are you needing answers now, when the answers are all around you. Look at your mother, have you ever wondered why her wounded leg never heals? And to talk of the girls, nothing comes without a price.” Sule revealed. “How did my mum come into this Sule? Said Paul. She’s got nothing to do with this, leave her out”. Sule mocked him with his funny annoying laughter. “why are you acting like a kid, it is clear Paul, I never got your mother involved with this, You did, we all had a price to pay and you know what, all those girls we use the handkerchief on never lived to see the next day. Paul, they are all gone” Sule said. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 7 Paul couldn’t believe what Sule had just said. It came as a blow to the depths of his belly and wanted to believe Sule was lying. He knew deep within him that it was all real. He broke down as Sule spoke. Memories of the numerous ladies he had slept with began coming back to him. The thought that their death and even his mother’s condition were all linked to his craving for money. The revelations from Sule were proving too much for him. All he had to do was just to use the handkerchief on a girl and that was it. As he was lost in thought, a phone call came through. The call came from Chantal. Without wasting anytime, he picked up the phone call. “Hi Chantal ” He said. “Can you come over to my place, I really need your company” She said. Chantal was weeping over her sister’s death and she needed company. The only person she could think off at that moment was Paul.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 8 On a normal day, Paul would have jumped at the an invitation without thinking twice. It was a dream that had only resided in the realms of his hope but was now being thrown his way. However having now known that Chantal wasn’t safe around him, he was quite apprehensive of making the visit. Suddenly the life of ill gotten wealth and plenty he had gotten used to seemed empty. He wished he could turn back the clock and throw everything away. Paul suddenly was filled with massive regret. This wasn’t what he thought of when he signed up. He never thought his actions were capable of putting his mother in such pain or sacrificing innocent people’s lives. The lives of Dattar, Phoebe and other ladies he barely could recall. Now he wanted to make amends and come clean, perhaps change his way of and manner of life. So much flashed through his mind at that moment. He suddenly came to the realization that he really had more wealth than he needed. He could settle down with what he had. He could clean up and make money legitimately. There and then Paul decided he wanted out. No more white handkerchieves, no more sleeping with random girls. He decided to make a clean break and live a clean life faithful and devoted? All these thoughts and conclusion ran through and settled in Paul’s mind just after he received the call from Chantal. Suddenly he got up from where he was, brushed himself and left Sule’s apartment with the steps of a determined man on a mission. He truly was on a mission. He knew that to keep his determined course of action, there were a couple of things he needed to urgently do. Paul went straight into his apartment from Sule’s house and headed straight to the secret room that housed the black pot having picked up a piece of hard wood from somewhere within the house. You Are Reading: Never Love a Stranger – Episode 8 On opening the door and seeing all the white handkerchieves, Paul was filled with rage. He couldn’t reconcile within himself how prior to this moment the site of the pot and the handkerchieves had given him so much joy. Coming close to the pot, he raised the wood and started to hit the pot. He smashed the wood severally on the pot in heavy rage. He kept on smashing the pot as if it was an animate object or like something fighting back at him. His rage seemed uncontrollable but soon, the pot was no more. He stood back panting and totally covered in sweat. He gathered the pieces with all the handkerchieves he could find and headed to his kitchen. There he set fire to the pieces of the pot and the handkerchieves as if to purify himself through the fire. Eventually he calmed down enough and got a hold of himself. He took a bathe, dressed up and drove to Chantal’s house. On seeing Chantal, he noticed that she she had been crying heavily. She likely had been crying since he had dropped her off at church. Her eyes were all puffy and swollen. She held one of Phoebe’s pictures in her arms as she weep. The picture frame was all covered with her tears. Paul truly felt guilty for putting Chantal through such pain and agony. He wanted to come out clean and confess. He felt that the only redeemable thing for him to do was to let Chantal know his side of the story and how much he was an actor in her sister’s death. He believed that one day, she would find out and it was better she heard from him than from anyone else. As he opened his mouth to speak, Chantal broke the silence “Ever since our parents died, I have been the one taking care of her. She is so innocent and dear. She took after our mother and looked like her carbon copy. Just last month she graduated from the university with a first class degree. Her life had just began Paul. She didn’t even want to go on the errand but I insisted. And the last words she said to me was how I was getting on her nerves, that’s the last thing she said to me. It’s all my fault. I …I ..” Chantal cried the more, she couldn’t hold back her tears. “It’s not your fault” Paul said. He almost blew his cover but was interrupted when Chantal asked him to come closer to her. Paul went and sat beside her and to his surprise Chantal rested her head on his chest with her tears dripping on his shirt. Paul felt the warm of her skin as she laid her head on him, at that moment, all he wanted to do was comfort her and take away her pain. He reached out and wanted to pass his hand through her hair or any physical activity to let her know he cared but he stopped himself. “I don’t understand why bad things happen to good people” she said. Paul was as she spoke, he was lost in thought. If only she knew who he was, he would likely be the last person she would think of inviting him to her house not to talk of having her head on his shoulder. “Do you pray, Paul” Chantal suddenly popped up that question. You Are Reading: Never Love a Stranger – Episode 8 Paul was surprised at the question, it came out unexpectedly, from nowhere. Chantal however asked him over again. “Do you take time to pray to God, I do see you at church and I must say, you are very well known but I don’t see you as the praying type that’s why I am asking” Chantal asked. Paul was a bit startled. He and prayer had since parted company. He somehow had learnt how to block out the prayer times in church from his mind or to arrive when prayers were conclude. He knew enough to appear prayerful but apparently he hadn’t deceived Chantal. It had been a long time anyone had asked him this question. The last person to have been on his case on prayer was his mum. However as they had drifted apart, it had become impossible to keep him in prayers. “Prayers? He muttered? Do I even deserve to pray to God? Paul said. “Why do you say that? Chantal asked him. She was eager to hear what he had to say. “I have done some bad things in the past, that I don’t see myself worthy enough to come before the Lord until i make amends for the sins I have committed. The lives that have been lost….” He said. “What, Paul did you kill someone! Chantal interrupted his rumination. Paul didn’t realize that he was speaking that much; he had almost said it all without realizing . Just as Chantal made the exclamation, his phone started to ring. Picking up the handset to see who the caller was, Paul’s was shocked to see that it was from his mother. His mother stopped speaking to him when he became rich overnight. He quickly picked up the call without wasting anytime only to hear her mother screaming and crying on top of her voice. “Paul you did it, why didn’t you take me instead? Paul why, why? She lamented over the phone. “Mom, what are you talking about, what is going on? Paul asked. “Are you asking me Paul, why didn’t you take me instead, what else do I have to live for. Tell me” She said. “Mum what is it? What are you saying? Paul desperately asked. “Don’t ask me anything, may God forgive you Paul, may God forgive you and I pray your sister will also find peace in heaven.” She said. “Mum what are you saying, where is Rosie” Paul asked. “She is gone Paul, you have succeeded in taking her away from me. Now you are happy right. Your sister is now lying lifeless at the hospital ” She revealed. … To Be Continued.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 9 Chantal noticed all these and she immediately knew that something had gone wrong. “What is it Paul?” She asked looking very concerned and worried. Paul couldn’t answer. A whirlwind of thoughts blazed through his mind at the speed of lightning. Thoughts came to him very fast. Perhaps his mother was right, he thought to himself. Maybe he was the cause of his sister’s death too. But he also felt that destroying the pot with the handkerchiefs was enough to cut off his link to the dark world he had so involved himself with. All he wanted to do was to take a break from his old life and chart a new course. He loved his sister very much. He couldn’t believe or come to think that he had a hand in her death. He thought about his promise to see her through her education so that she could become someone of stature in the society. The news of her death really got to him. He could barely think straight. All he wanted at this moment was to be all alone so that he could think and sort issues out. He just wanted a break from everyone. Above all, he wanted to be away from Chantal as he didn’t want her endangered in any way. He muttered a few words of excuse to Chantal and quickly left her apartment. Destroying the pot alone was a violation of the pact that existed between them and the Baba. The mysterious Baba had been introduced to him and Jonah by Sule who was their only link to the man. They had met him just one time. He had disappeared once they had received instructions not to be seen by them ever since then. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 9 Paul was on his way to see his mother. He had decided that it was time to come face to face with his mother and talk about issues. Who knows, his sister’s death may bring them back and allow him enjoy the closeness he once had with her. In no time, Paul arrived at his mother’s house. Some of the family members and Neighbours had already gathered around to sympathize. Once he arrived, he noticed that a number of the people gathered around were murmuring. He knew they were talking about him, with the way they glanced his way every now and then. He was however not bothered. He had come not to see them but to see his mother. Paul was apprehensive. He wasn’t sure how his mom would receive him based on her past hostilities to him. He was thinking that on seeing him, she might throw a scene and throw him out. He was however pleasantly surprised to find that she didn’t even utter a word as he came in. She was very much in sorrow and couldn’t stop shedding tears. Paul went close to her and noticed the wound on her leg, that was the first time he was really seeing it. It was much worse than he ever imagined. It was more of a deep sore that looked very fresh and was eating deep into her flesh. He was aghast but kept his calm. “Mum, how are you? Paul asked His mother looked at him very carefully as if that was the first time she was seeing him. At that moment, she just wanted to hug him and tell him how much she had missed him. She had always been close to her two kids. The death of her husband and their subsequent sufferings brought them even closer. Her quarrel with him came from his inability to explain the source of his sudden wealth. She knew it couldn’t have been legit and she had a premonition that it would lead to his ruin. She had tried to get him off that course but his resolve to remain on it had split them. However, whatever wrong Paul had done, he was still her son and there was nothing she could do about that. It was even harder now that his sister was gone leaving him as her only surviving child. She still needed him, even though she blamed him for everything, she needed him around. “How do you expect me to feel my son? There was nothing wrong with her. She was well and all of sudden she complained about a headache, the next thing I heard was her screaming at the top of her voice and that was all. And you know what? she died with your name on her lips. She was calling out your name. What is going on, what have you gotten yourself into Paul?” His mother asked. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 9 Paul was speechless, there was nothing he could do or say. He felt very quilty and ashamed of himself. The more he saw his mother cry, the guiltier he felt about his sister’s death. It now was obvious to him that breaking the pot was not the solution. He needed someone he could talk to. The only person that came to his mind was Jonah. Since they were both in this, he felt that he should go talk to him and let him know what was going on. Maybe together, they could work out a solution. As soon as he could, he left his mother’s apartment and headed to Jonah’s. Chantal had been calling him on the phone but he didn’t bother to answer her calls. Not that he didn’t want to, but he felt that being around Chantal could expose her to danger. He felt that she wasn’t safe until he had figured out what to do. Chantal meanwhile was a praying person. Having not heard from Paul, she got on her knees and began praying for him. She had a deep sense of foreboding and felt he needed her prayers. She also felt his sister’s death wasn’t ordinary but she didn’t connect any of it to Paul. She didn’t want to lose her new friend, Paul. She had started warming up to him and she rather liked him. She was seriously feeling the loss of her sister and didn’t want to loose Paul this way either. She took out her bible and began praying for protection for Paul and herself. Paul was driving top speed to Jonah’s house. Fear gripped him as he thought of the misfortune around him, especially now that his mother blamed him for the death of his sister. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 9 In no time, he arrived at Jonah’s. To his surprise, the door was open. He called out Jonah’s name several times and got no response. Apprehensively, he entered the living room and saw that the whole place was disorganized. Picture frames were lying carelessly on the floor and there was broken glass everywhere. Paul got worried, he called out to Jonah and there was still no answer. He tried calling him on his cell phone only to hear the ring of the phone somewhere near hm. Just then, he heard some strange noise coming from the kitchen. He quickly rushed to the there and saw Jonah sitting on the floor in his boxer shots. Jonah looked deranged and was chewing something. Pieces of what he was chewing lay all round about him. On getting close, Paul found that what Jonah was chewing was money. He was chewing currency notes and was laughing to himself. He was obviously out of his mind. … To Be Continued.

Never Love a Stranger – Episode 10 Paul was confused as to how things could quickly go this fast down the drain. He didn’t know what to do. He thought of rushing Jonah to the hospital. The problem was that each time he came close to Jonah, the guy pulled a knife and started to swing as if to stab Paul. After several minutes of trying to pick Jonah up, Paul became frustrated, confused and afraid. He just didn’t know how to deal with what he was seeing. He sat back on the kitchen counter pondering what to do next. He knew that all this was related to his smashing of the pot. Suddenly he knew that he didn’t want to be alone. He couldn’t go back to his apartment. The only place that sounded like solace was Chantal’s. He decided to go see her. He needed her company, he knew it would distract him from the thoughts that were going through his mind. On his way to Chantal’s he was filled with thoughts of her sister’s death. He had a deep feeling of guilt as he knew he was responsible for her death. He thought of confessing to Chantal but he was afraid of losing her. This also was a confusing chapter for him. He somehow felt that the right thing to do was to confess and bear the consequences. He had a foreboding that everything was sure to leak soon and he would be the worse off. He shook the thought of and decided that he would need to find ways of making amends. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 10 By the time he got to Chantal’s place, it was already quite late into the night. After having called him to no avail, Chantal had given up hope of his coming back. She however was quite concerned about him. The way way he had left her hadn’t been the best. She was hoping nothing had happened to him. The more he didn’t pick his call, the more apprehensive she became. She was thus very glad when he showed up at her door. She was so happy to see him safe that she surprised both herself and him with the way she rushed into his arms and gave him a warm and very tight hug. Holding on like he was the last person left in the world for her. Finally, they came into her kitchen and she prepared something warm for him to drink. “Now would you tell me what that was all about? You just left without saying anything. I kept calling your phone, yet no answer” She said. Paul looked straight in her eyes and noticed how vulnerable she was to him at this moment. If only she knew the kind of person he was she would hate him forever, he thought to himself. He thought about the irony of life; how he had thought all he needed were riches and wealth to make him satisfied and fulfilled. Then it came to him that he had never really been satisfied with all the wealth he had gotten. The more he had acquired, the more he wanted. Yet this very night, standing besides this woman, he felt more fulfilled than he had ever been. Suddenly it hit him that he actually had deep feelings for Chantal. Feelings he had never felt for anyone before. It was like if nothing else in the whole world mattered. He was at peace despite the turmoils his life was going through right now. Then and then, he knew he was in love with Chantal. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 10 It was as if eternity stood still in acknowledgment of his love. While he stood there lost in his thoughts, her smell seemed deeper and fresher, he could see and sense her deep beauty. This was all he had ever wanted. He was so deep in self reflection that he didn’t realize that he hadn’t answered her question. He also didn’t realize that he had been starring at her all this while lost in his own time and space. “Paul, you are scaring the hell out of me, what is it? Talk to me for ” Chantal asked again. This time slightly touching him. That was enough to get his attention. Paul startled as he came came back from his fantasy world into reality. “I just lost my kid sister and my mom blames me for it” Paul finally blurted out. Chantal reached out and touched him as he said this. Having lost her own sister not too long ago, she could feel his pain. She started to console him without asking him why his mum would blame him for his sister’s death. She thought it might be one of the usual things, where every mother would want her child to be around in crucial moments and maybe just blamed him for not having being around. The usual accusation being that if he were around, she wouldn’t have died. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 10 Meanwhile, back at his apartment, Jonah was out of control. He seemed to have gotten worse since Paul left. He had been tearing up his apartment and had really messed up the place. At this point, he lost total control, started to scream at the top of his voice while simultaneously smashing the glass windows in his house. This caught the attention of his Neighbours. Initially they kept quiet and watched him from a distance. Finally, a few of them got together and broke Into his house. When they saw his condition they knew he needed help. They decided to rush him to a hospital. They then grabbed him and tried holding and tying him down. Jonah seemed to have garnered super human strength. He was too strong for them. He forced his way out of their hands and grabbed a knife. Now he started to threaten them with the knife and made to stab a few of them. The neighbors had to regroup and tried forcing the knife from his hands. In the struggle, Jonah stabbed himself with the knife. The cut was quite deep and fatal. The neighbors rushed him to the hospital. When they got to the hospital, the doctors rushed him into the ICU but it was too late. He had lost too much blood and they couldn’t revive him. They pronounced him dead. Things were turning round now, the chicken was coming home to roost. The ball the three friends kicked against the wall was coming back to them. By breaking and burning the pot, Paul had set a series of events in motion and the end result of it all seemed to be the consumption of their lives. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 10 Oblivious to all that Jonah was going through, Paul was having a swell time with Chantal. She had been consoling him and before they knew it, they were both asleep Paul woke up to find her lying on his chest. He now was very tempted, he couldn’t resist her, he wanted to kiss her. He raised up her face slightly by the chin. She faintly stirred in her sleep, opened her eyes lazily and saw him looking intently at her. They found themselves swept into the moment. They couldn’t take their gaze off each other. Suddenly the inevitable which had been bound to happen all evening took place. They found themselves swept into the moment. They couldn’t take their gaze off each other. Suddenly the inevitable which had been bound to happen all evening took place. Before they knew what was next, their lips locked together and they began kissing each other passionately. Their breathing became heavier and faster as the kiss got more intense. Paul had completely forgotten himself and was sucked into the moment. He now was fully distracted from the cares and worries of the day. However, this meant that Chantal’s life was now in deep danger. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 11 As they went on, they both lost restraint and control. Chantal took of her shirt leaving only her bra. Now, they were about crossing the limit. Paul turned her around and came on top of her leaving him in total control. Chantal opened her eyes and gave Paul a passionate kiss. She was lost in dreamland. Everything was hazy and a bliss. All of sudden, Phoebe appeared besides her. She had tears streaming down her face. Chantal suddenly panicked and pushed Paul aside. Paul looked puzzled wondering what was going on. Chantal now realized that only she could see Phoebe. Her dead sister was right in front of her and Paul was oblivious to her presence. This made her panic the more and she began shouting and screaming trying to get away from her. Paul on the other hand had gotten up from where she had pushed him, looking bewildered and wondering what exactly was going on. Phoebe ignored Paul and came close to her sister. She stood over Chantal as Chantal crouched in a corner of the room. When she got close enough she said to her sister “Don’t fall in love with the serpent. His venom brought me here. It’s not yet your time to join me”. As she finished saying those words, She disappeared just as suddenly as she had come. Chantal shook and screamed the more and woke up startled to realize it and all been a dream. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 11 The dream felt so real that she found herself sweating even though the air conditioner was cooling the room. Chantal was a bit disoriented as she tried recalling events that had led unto the evening. Suddenly her eyes and mind cleared and she realized that Paul was still around. Apparently, they both had fallen asleep while she had been consoling him of his sister’s death. Chantal was afraid and very frightened. She had no idea of what her sister was talking about but it was obvious that she was warning her against something, against being in love with someone. Paul was fast asleep on the couch. He was truly exhausted and had slept through the whole drama and even Chantal’s little shout on waking up and hadn’t moved him. She starred at him in panic while he was still sleeping. For now he was the only guy in her life. Chantal instinctively felt that Paul was the one her sister had been warning her about. Paul had to be the serpent . Chantal checked the time. It was 2.00am. She usually didn’t have this sort of dreams and she felt it had to be an omen. There was no way she could not have taken this seriously. She needed to do something. First of all she felt that she had to get away from Paul as fast as she could. While she thought about it, her mind went to her discovery of her sister’s bag in Paul’s car. What was it doing there? What sort of relationship existed between her sister and Paul. She realized that Paul was likely one of the last people to have seen Phoebe alive. The more she thought about it, she felt a deep sense of foreboding and couldn’t wait to get Paul out of her house. She walked up to where Paul was sleeping and shook him. “Get up, you need to go” She said sounding very rude. Paul woke up shocked and surprised at the tone of her voice. It all sounded strange. This wasn’t the Chantal that he had been with a few hours ago. The all cosy Chantal had disappeared leaving this cold looking lady standing in front of him. Paul found himself back at the same point he was when they first met. All he could blurt out where the words “I’m sorry, I had fallen asleep” was all he could say. “Don’t worry, just leave” She said as she walked Paul to the front door. Paul was amazed at her reaction. He wondered to himself as to what could have gone wrong. He however had no other option than to leave. Chantal sat on her bed in her room lost in thought. The dream was not something she could ignore. It felt more than a dream. It was like real life to her. She knew she needed answers and the only thing she could think of was to take out her bible, read and pray. She took out the bible and knelt by the bed side and was soon deep in prayers. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 11 Paul drove off deep in thought. His thoughts wove around the way Chantal had changed and driven him out. He however felt that he deserved worse than that. He knew he was responsible for Phoebe’s death as well as the death of younger sister. He wasn’t sure how safe Chantal was around him. His mother was now being proven right after all. He wished he could turn back the hands of time and not have involved himself in all these mess. He realized that even though he had made money from evil, it had come at a terrible price. He realized however that the harm had already been done, there was no way he could bring back those innocent lives. When he had tried to fix things, he went about it the wrong way and things seemed to have gone out of hand. He had thought that all he needed to do was break the pot and stop his former acts of sleeping with girls and using the handkerchieves on them. Little had he realized that it was only going to trigger a chain of events that had led him and several others to the paths they now were. It never occurred to him that he could have started by first confessing his evil. As he drove, he thought about how much in love with Chantal he was. This was the first time he had felt this way about a woman. He decided that he wasn’t ready to give up on her. The next time they would meet, he would tell her how he felt about her. For now there was nothing more he could do than accept his past and make amends. “People are dead because of me. As much as I hate it, there is nothing more I can do than to just be a good man onwards.” He said and comforted himself with that. In no time he had arrived home but before he could enter into his compound he saw Sule sitting on the floor of his gates. He looked like a man running from something. He was panting and sweating all over and looked disheveled. Never Love a Stranger – Episode 11 Paul parked his car, jumped out and quickly rushed to him. For a moment, Sule didn’t recognize him. As Paul got close to him, he got up in panic and started to run. “Hey, Hey Its me, Paul. What is it” said Paul. Sule began crying and shouting out loud. He was gesticulating wildly and speaking particular to no one. His actions made an already apprehensive more shivery. “Our time is up Paul, our time is up. I keep seeing things that are not there, I keep seeing dead bodies everywhere. Girls that we had taken their lives” Sule lamented. “What are you talking about? Calm down and tell me everything.” Paul asked. “Jonah is gone and we are next. It’s over Paul and I don’t want to die. I can’t die” He cried out. “What do you mean Jonah is dead, I was at his end earlier in the evening. Look I think you need to rest. Let’s go inside” Paul said. “You don’t understand me, its over Paul. It is allover” He kept saying Suddenly, he broke away from Paul and started to run away. He released he and Paul were in the same shoes and Paul couldn’t offer any help. As he started to run, Paul ran after him thinking to catch him and stop him from harming himself. The more he ran after Sule, the faster Sule increased his steps. Soon they were running on the road just in front of his house. As Paul made to catch him, Sule ran off the road into a deep ditch by the side of the road. He didn’t see the ditch in front of him as the road was dark. He fell down real hard hitting his head on the pavement. The impact of the fall was quite hard and fatal as it cracked open his skull killing him instantly.

Never Love a Stranger – The Final Episode As Paul got to him and saw him prone on the ground, he panicked. One look and he could tell Sule was gone. He thought of running back to go get an ambulance. Suddenly he heard a faint moan from the lips of Sule. He was shocked because there was no way Sule could be alive. You could virtually see his brains through the gash in his skull. It seemed like Sule was trying to tell him something. He had no choice but to bend down to listen to him “There is something I need to tell you Paul” Sule said. “Just listen to me, it’s too late for me but you can save your life. Just sleep with a lady before the day ends and that will be all.” Paul wasn’t ready for that; he had made his decision not to go back to his old ways. Before he could tell him about his decision, Sule went motionless and that was that. At that point Paul panicked. Now he was in real fear. The way that Jonah and Sule had gone made him realise that he was next. They had all died over minor freak accidents. What event was going to take his life? he stated to wonder. How was he going to die? He thought of the remedy that Sule had prescribed and he was tempted to try it. He however wasn’t sure if it was a trap. Furthermore, he had already decided to give up that life and he sure wasn’t about to go back to that lifestyle. He knew he needed help but where was he going to get it? He rushed Sule to the hospital and wasn’t really surprised when the doctors pronounced him dead. It was already obvious he was dead before being brought to the hospital. The confirmation of Sule’s death only worsened things for him. He knew he didn’t want to die but he knew that the solution offered by Sule would only lead to the death of someone else and bind him further in the service of evil. This was the one opportunity he had to redeem himself and he decided to take it. He knew he wasn’t going back to his old life. Who could he turn to he thought? His face lit up as he thought of one person he could run to. Never Love a Stranger – The Final episode He got into his car and drove off. It was now 4.00am. Paul had barely Slept the whole day. The only sleep he had been opportuned to have had was the short time he had slept off on Chantal’s sofa before she drove him out. The adrenaline was however pumping through him and all trace of sleep was far from him. He got to his mother’s and quickly rushed into her room. “Mom, save me. Please. Mother please save me” He cried out and knelt before her. His mother had known from inside her that he had strayed from the path she had chosen for him. Even though she couldn’t confirm it, she knew that his riches were from an evil source. This was why when she failed to persuade him to turn away, she refused to take a cent from him. When she saw him in the state he was, her motherly love and compassion washed over her and tugged at her heart and she started to cry. “What have you gotten yourself into, my son” She asked. “Mother, you were right, they will come for me soon. Please save me” He said. “I can’t save you my son. No one can. Only one person can save you right now. You need Jesus in your life. You need to accept him into your life as your Lord and Saviour. He is the only one that can save you my son” She said. “Go and confess your sins to him and he will grant you mercy.” His phone began ringing just as his mother finished talking. He thought to avoid it and picked it up to cut it off. While doing that, he saw that the call came from Chantal. He quickly answered the call. “Where are you Paul? I need you to come right away” said Chantal in a very angry tone. “Is everything alright” Paul asked but Chantal yelled and demanded his presence right away. As if his mother knew everything, she took a look at him and without asking any questions, asked him to go to her and make things right. He then had no option than to run off; driving straight to Chantal’s house. Never Love a Stranger – The Final episode He was welcomed with a slap. “What did you do to my sister” Chantal screamed at him. “What did you do to her” She asked. Paul couldn’t even lie about it, because of the guilt as well as his feelings for Chantal. “Chantal please forgive me, I didn’t know the full depth of what I was into. Please” he said. Chantal broke down as she could barely believe what Paul was saying. It wasn’t hard to get the truth out of him. But she didn’t need any explanation. Apparently, when Paul had left earlier on, she had called her pastor to tell him about the dream. Her pastor advised her to find Paul and come with him immediately. He told her not to waste any time as something ominous was about to happen. This was the main reason she had reached out to Paul and asked him to come over to her place. She hadn’t been able to hold herself back when he came hence the slap and interrogation when he arrived. “I don’t need any explanation from you Paul. We are going to see my pastor right now.” She said. Paul didn’t expect that she would say that but he however went along. At this point he was desperate for a solution, perhaps seeing her pastor would save him. Without wasting any time, they rushed to the pastors’ residence. Suddenly, Chantal realized that she had started feeling some hatred for Paul. Throughout the way to her pastor’s, she didn’t utter a single word to him neither did she want to hear anything from him. Irrespective of this, she knew this was not a battle to be won physically. Never Love a Stranger – The Final episode On arriving at her Pastor’s, the man of God was already waiting for them. As soon as he saw Paul, he spoke out. “Son, you are not walking alone, the spirit of serpent and death has surrounded you. Confess your sins to God now before it’s too late. You have really sinned. Ask for your mother’s forgiveness, for it is because of your doing that the wound on her leg hasn’t healed and so many lives have been lost because of you, even your own sister and Chantal’s” said the Pastor. He was really gifted and God had already opened his eyes to everything that was happening. At his words, Paul broke down and knelt down. Just when he was about to give up and ask for pardon, he had an attack and a seizure. He rolled on the floor and white foamy substance began coming out of his mouth. “What is happening pastor” Chantal asked suddenly alarmed. “The devil is at work. His time is up, but today his soul will be saved, he belongs to the children of God” said the pastor. He and Chantal then began praying, the Pastor laid his hands on Paul and started to cast out and rebuke the devil. Paul started rolling and struggling on the floor. As at when this was happening, Paul’s mother’s feet healed instantly, even though the wound was still there. His mum felt within her that the wound was healing. She then noticed a remarkable difference within her. She knew everything was going to be well and right there she began thanking God fervently. She also got on her knees and started to intercede for her son. She felt deep within her that he needed her prayers. Paul was still rolling all over the place and his seizure became even more severe. “Paul accept Christ as your Lord and personal savior before it’s too late” The pastor said. Paul then shouted out. “God forgive me, forgive me and save me from the hands of the devil. I accept Christ as the Lord and savior of my life” As he finished uttering these words the seizure stopped instantly and he came to himself. He began crying and held Chantal’s leg. “I did it Chantal, I did it all because of money. Forgive me” He cried out. Chantal couldn’t help it, she began crying. The pastor then came in and pleaded on his behalf. Without saying a word, Chantal left Paul with the pastor and went away. It wasn’t easy for Chantal but Paul truly regretted his actions. He was afraid to go back to his house. He stayed back and lived with the pastor for a few more days. That was where he had his vocation and gave up his life to the service of God. He eventually gave all his wealth to the church and turned his house into an orphanage home. Three weeks down the line, Paul’s mother was completely healed of the wound on her leg. Chantal on the other hand, couldn’t bring herself to forgive Paul. She moved to the United states and settled there. Paul still felt the guilt. He then began preaching the word of God on the streets and anywhere he deemed necessary. But his life was just about to begin, it was far from over.
