Sports Giants, Nike on Wednesday unveiled official jerseys for Super Eagles players at the 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia.
The sportwear giants drew inspiration from the Super Eagles jersey to the 1995 King Fahd Cup – now known as FIFA Confederations Cup.
The home kits pay tribute to Nigeria ’94 shirt which was worn by the first Nigerian team to qualify for the World Cup – with eagle wing-inspired black-and-white sleeve and green torso while the away kits boast of the full green strip in a classic fashion.
Captain John Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho all modelled the new kits. While reviewing the designs, Mikel said: “I can see the players going crazy over this one.”

Ndidi also sounded excited, adding “This is cultural” in apparent reference to the patterned away kit.
“This is different, you know,” Iwobi added, while Iheanacho seemed happy with all the designs.
Nigerians and people in general have reacted to the jerseys, some in support while some think otherwise.
