Nigerian singer, Niniola, who
was reportedly robbed off a
whopping N8m and mobile
phones on Wednesday night at a
popular fast food restaurant in
Sandton, South Africa has taken
to Twitter to debunk the news,
saying it’s false.
Reports had it that Niniola was in
South Africa on holiday and was
having a meal with two other
friends when they were attacked
by robbers at McDonald's
restaurant on Grayston drive.
According to an eyewitness,
Niniola's bag and phone were
taken while two of her friends
were robbed of jewelry and cash.
Her bag is said to have contained
N8m.
It was even reported that
Sandton police spokesman,
Captain Granville Meyer,
confirmed that a case of robbery
was opened by Niniola's friend
on Wednesday night. But the
singer took to her Twitter handle
to debunk the news, saying she
was only robbed of her mobile
phone and not money. On her
Twitter handle, the singer wrote;
“Lol. N8m ke? Na mobile phone
nah. There are numbers you can
call to verify certain gist before
you post. Who carries that kind
of cash around??? Lol.” Actually,
there was a robbery. But no N8m
was made away with. It was just
phones.
