Recently, from my chats with friends, I have decided to take up the role of an informant in the business and wealth creation.
My target audience will be the Nigerian students who want to make extra money to take care of petty needs.
Let me note here that these businesses can pay as much as possible. Provided you are able to persevere.
I am doing this for free. No one will ask you to pay to have any e-book, because I am only going to help you identify these businesses and in turn, you will do your research and ask questions before venturing into them.
I am d9ty7 and I just want to make common sense.
The businesses are listed below in no particular order.

1. WRITING BUSINESS From my experience in this business, I can tell you that this is the emerging business for the next generation. And from my projections, by 2020, this sector would have created more millionaires than the showbiz business. The writing business is futher divided into different categories and all of them a inter-woven and related. If you are industrious, you can combine all of them together or choose just one of them. **The businesses are below*** I. BLOGGING: This is an overflogged discussion and we all know a lot of people have made it really big in this business. LindaIkeji, Stella Dimokorku, Kemi Filani and a host of others have made it from blogging. And the most profitable aspect of blogging is advert publishing. You won't spend up to ten thousand naira to set up your personal blog and the following are the niches which are not yet popular, and are demanded; * Fashion * Science and Technology * National geography * Weird facts * Photography II. EBOOK: This sector is another untapped sector which can create thousands of dollars for users. HOW IT WORKS; Instead of starting your own blog, you can compile everything you know about MARRIAGE in a book, then you self publish and sell. Including counselling and testimonies of some married couples. You can write on FASHION or ANIMALS. I am considering writing something about various historical sites and tourist attractions in the world, when they were founded with pictures. What a way to teach history, you will agree with me. III. FREELANCING: As a freelance writer you can make as low as $5 per day and as much as $100 per day. Sound impossible right? I will explain. When I joined Fivver, a leading Freelance platform in the world, it was very difficult at first, being a Nigerian and the tag of Nigerians being criminal, then I went to learn and made some modification. Then came my first job. "I was contracted to write ten(10) comments on ten(10) different posts on a particular blog. And each comment should not be less than 100words. That is 1000 words in total. I was to finish the job in 48hours, but I finished in 24hours. At the end I was paid $5." For a $100 paying job, you can be asked to edit a novel due for publishing. You can be asked to write a project. So, you just need to research. It doesn't matter if you are not a graduate. Thank God for the fall in Naira against the dollar. There was a time $100 amounts to #19,000, but as at March, a hundred dollars changes for almost thirty thousand naira. And that is what you make for every $100 job you complete. Even though $80 is yours and $20 belongs to Fiverr network. All you need is a computer or a tablet and data plan. *I personally advice you to try this out. NOTE: You need to be calm to succeed in this business, you need to be willing to learn to succeed in this business. I first joined Fiverr in 2014, but I didn't start earning until 2015 when I met the guy who put me through. Fiverr is not a scam or yahoo yahoo whatever. Some of the jobs you can get is; *Writing, *Logo design, *Banner design *Website design and a host of others. Depending on the jobs you put on your profile. Even though web design can pay as much as $1000. Yes, you read right. *Another part of Freelancing is getting employment with blogs. An entertainment blog may give you a job to always update the blog daily and they pay you per post. I am not in this business, so I can't tell you what I don't know.

2. AGRICULTURE: *Note: I have not tried this sector yet, but I have friends who are actively involved. Agriculture provides food, pharmaceuticals to mention a few. And nobody can live without food. *The government is trying to diversify into this sector, maybe you can go commercial, but this post is not for commercial purpose, it is just to allow you make some money. 1. RABBIT REARING: This business is profitable because to start on a small scale, all you need is a rabbit family. i.e Two female rabbits and a male rabbit, known as the buck and the doe. To get the rabbits near you, you'll buy one at the rate of one thousand naira which makes it three thousand naira. Rabbits feed on grasses basically, but you can get them feeds from feed mill, even though economically, and with three rabbits it is not advisable. Let us assume you feed them with only grass and water. Free food. And with regular cleaning of their cage, hutch or house. A female rabbit gives birth twice in a year and can give birth up to six kittens. *Remember, aside the three thousand naira you spent in buying them and maybe vaccination. I don't know how much an average cage costs. You also will sell the kitten at the rate of one thousand naira or more after a few weeks. *Now do the maths and tell me if it is profitable or not. *You can even sell rabbits to some hotels. Yes, they eat rabbit and it is one of the most nutritious meat in the world. II. SNAIL REARING: A very good friend of mine started this business in 2014 with ten thousand naira. He bought 100 broodstocks(snails) at ten thousand naira. And he got tyres as their pen. This is 2016, I don't know how many snails he has, because he has stopped using tyres. But all I can tell you is, he feeds them with water leaf and one waste product from grounded maize. Once in a while, he gets composed feeds from the feed mill. I don't know how much he sells his snails, but he doesn't go to the market. He sells to hotels, relaxation centres. We all know what hotels use snails for and you can imagine the number of snails he must be supplying. *Snails lay eggs and they give birth. He has a way of incubating the eggs using covered plates. *Snails hardly dies. *He feeds them once in every two days. Isn't that an easy business? Though the capital is a bit much, but you can start small, provided you can take your snails to the market yourself. III. DOG REARING: This is not for students, because to successfully rear a GSD(German shepard) you can spend up to sixty thousand naira. IV. TOMATO: Do not laugh. If tomato is scarce in your area, my sister, carry cutlass and plant tomatoes. *NOTE: These businesses is no joke. They pay really cool dough.

3. FASHION: You'll be surprised how this works. I. CLOTHING LINE: I can just wake up tomorrow and start d9ty7 apparell tomorrow. Even though I am not a fashion designer, I can not even use needle to see a cloth not to talk of using sewing machine. How it works; *Get a social media presence to advertise your clothing line. *Get a professional fashion designer and reach and agreement with him or her *Search for pictures of native clothes, ankara and the likes then post them on your pages that you will sell the cloth for a certain amount *Once an interested buyer contacts you. Go and meet the designer you have an agreement with, show him the style. Go to the market, get the material. Let the designer sew the cloth. If you are business oriented, you will be able to see your profit, pay the fashion designer and the client will be happy for the job well done.

4. PROVISION OF WATER; If you live in an area where water is scarce, you can go extra mile to get portable water, you treat it and in turn sell it at a price. 5. DRY CLEANING: All you need is an electric iron and a generator. With time you'll save enough to buy a washing machine and employ workers. NOTABLE MENTIONS; Soap production, provision of fruit juice, catering services, small chops. REMARK: You will agree with me that 90% of these businesses requires less than ten thousand naira to start. While some will thrive in a student populated area, some will fail in student areas. Others like blogging, freelancing will succeed in just anywhere. And snail rearing will thrive in an area where there are more hotels and restuarants. If you live in an area where people might not eat rabbits, then you can sell a one thousand naira rabbit to secondary school at five thousand naira. Afterall, we all dissected rabbit in Biology classes. GENERAL DISCLAIMER: Every business is bound to have a slow start. But that is not enough reason to give up. I didn't give up and writing paid off for me. So, do not give up, and you may be the next major tomato distributor in Nigeria. I dedicate this post to Nigeria's number one sports betting platform, Merrybet. The official sponsor of the Coolval22 Pageants; Season 2 2016. I am d9ty7 and I hope I made common sense.
